Taking Flight [Inactive]

He looked back at her," well I really do what I want since I'm sorta of a loner." he started to feel a bit of his uneasiness go away as they talk and he couldn't but take note of her wings." if you don't mind me saying this but you have some very beautiful wings." he didn't understand why he say it but he just smiled his friendliest smile he could muster.

Celeste ducked her head slightly and grinned. "Thanks. I like your... arms?"

What do humans normally compliment?, she wondered. Trying to pass off the awkward comment she asked hurriedly, "So what is it like being alone all the time?"

She ruffled her wings and leant forwards.

It was hard having a small form for a bird, not exactly very intimidating, but she certainly stuck out. Not for her size, of course, but her rare colored feathers that no one seemed to believe were real. They all thought they were just rumors, that is until they actually saw her bird form or when she let her wings out while in human form. The only perks that came from being an angel was Alia didn't have to take on her bird form to fly, which she was thankful for since she hated feeling so vulnerable.

It was a busy day today in the tribe, but no one seemed to be needing her. She took this chance to have some alone time to herself, needing it after the long days she had been having teaching the young kids the way of the sword in case of an emergency. It had been peaceful the last few years, but they could never be so laid back. Threats always came when they least expected it and were unprepared for it, as they had experienced the last time war had broken out between them and the humans.

Landing lightly on her feet in the middle of the forest, Alia folded her strange colored wings against her back so they wouldn't get in the way as she began walking. She did this from time to time, taking long strolls on her own getting much needed fresh air. She always seemed so relaxed in the woods, and even felt safer in trees than up in the mountain in which her tribe lived. It was strange, she knew that for sure, but she loved it none the less.

He couldn't help but laugh," sorry and thanks I wouldn't be able to do much without them, and to answer your question when your a loner it really sucks at time because you don't have many people to talk to, but there is some benefits to it like how you can do what ever you want, you don't have any rule, and you have way more freedom then you ever could in a tribe." he was glad he could just talk to an angel like this and not feel threatened

She wondered for a moment what it would be like to live like him. Alone, but free. She quickly snapped out of it. She loved her tribe and could never leave them all. Something occurred to Celeste and she glanced at the sky. Cursing, she climbed to her feet. "Speaking of my tribe, I'm late. I have to get back before anyone notices I was gone." She flared her wings. "It was nice talking to you, Jake."

With one powerful flap of her wings she took to the air, skimming just above the trees, still attempting to keep a low profile. Often her mind strayed back to the lonely human.

Wait, what did Humans compliment? Ali wondered as she sat up in her little tree.

Ali had a nice view of the place and saw another Angel coming down this way. She fluffed up her feathers and flew around before landing in another tree closer to the Angel and Human and much more closer to the ground.

I think you can tell I've completely given up on being subtle, she thought to herself. She probably has given up on subtleness though.

The Angel flew off just as Ali landed. There goes my entertainment...

"its jack" he whispered to himself. He grinned then looked up at the magpie and smiled," so did you enjoy mine and hers little chat angel. Would you like to chat or just keep spying on me while I search for supper." he went over to his gear and started to put them back on he then looked back up at the magpie," you coming or what?" he then started to walk off in the opposite direction

Yeah, OBVIOUSLY I wasn't subtle. Actually throw that out the damn window, I killed subtleness and lit fireworks, Ali said to herself.

She flew down next to Jack's feet before switching over to her Angel form. When she was done switching over, Ali stood from her crouch and dusted off her black pants and shirt, not like she really needed to, black knew no such thing as dirt or stains.

As this Jack turned around, Ali stuck out her hand and smiled. "Hi, names Aaliyah."

Yeah that sounded about right.

Jack grinned," so do you enjoy spying on other peoples conversations or were we the first time you ever did that." he laughed a bit and turned around and brought his bow into his hand and notched an arrow," so have you been hunting before." he turned his head to her he had a smile on his face.

Ali sighed at Jack's stupid question. "Of course I've gone hunting! Basically every Loner Angel has."

As she said it she took out one of her daggers and flicked it open into a fan. Surprise, surprise, her war fans close into daggers.

Oh wait, he probably did NOT know that.

"And, no, this isn't the first conversation I've spied on," she chuckled as she said it standing behind Jack.

He grinned," well you should go to the air so we can get a birds eye view of the land." he didn't say much after that he quietly started to walk threw the forest searching for any clues to some game, but while he did he wondered how Celeste's life was like in her tribe

Ali rolled her eyes before taking to the air with a few beats of her wings.

She really couldn't see much to hunt nearby, apart from a couple of bunnies and maybe a deer or two over there. That was about it.

She swooped back down and reported all of this to Jack. "Uh, keep heading forward and you'll hit a big group of rabbits, but walk a little further maybe North East of here and you'll find some deer."

Jack nodded not really feeling like dealing with big game, he went to where the rabbits were and snagged two of them." this is good for now." he thought to himself. He headed back to where Ali was and sat down and started to skin the rabbits after he did that he built a fire and started to cook the rabbits." so Ali how long have you been a loner angel

That was a good question. Ali sat down cross legged with her wings loosely folded around her.

"Hmm, well I'm 120 in Human years now, so maybe, I dunno, 35 years, give or take a few," Ali replied and grinned.

"So, how old are you?" she questions Jack.

She arrived back at camp, smoothly striding from the forests into the main camp. If her disappearance was noticed, no one said anything. She smiled casually at angels but her mind was elsewhere. Focussed on the human. Unbidden, the memory of the magpie popped into her mind. For some reason she couldn't banish the thought of it. Well, it was strange behaviour for a bird. And birds around here rarely acted out unless...

They weren't birds at all.

Anxious, she scanned the trees but she had no hope of seeing him. Hesitantly she headed to her room.

He simply replied," 20 in human years." he smiled as he said," you could basically say I'm a baby if I was an angel so you would be around my age if you a human I'm terrible at math." he chuckle and got the rabbits out of the fire and handed one to Ali.

Ali prodded at the rabbit meat before tearing it with her fingers. She wasn't savage, none of the Angels were, unless they've been alone for a really, really long time.

"Well, I'd be 24 if I was a Human and you'd be 4 if you were an Angel. So yeah, a baby practically."

Jack was fun, that was for sure. "So is this your first time in this forest? From the looks of it it doesn't seem like it is."

He looked at her," well I hunted at the edges of this forest a few time but never went really deep in until today and I already met two angels so its been a pretty eventful today don't you think so." he finished his rabbit and put out the fire and made sure no one would know someone camped here. He got his stuff together and looked down at Ali," well I'm moving on so I guess i'll see you around he started to walk off and he waved to her before he went into the thick trees.

Ali finished her rabbit and hid the bones in a hole in the ground and covered it up. She said her goodbyes as Jack left and stuck her tongue out at his back before changing into a magpie and flying off to the tribe. She would never forget where the tribe was, never ever.

As soon as Ali arrived at the tribe she sat at the edges of the main clearing, searching for the Angel that was previously with Jack.

Isn't her name Celeste or something? Yeah I think it is
, Ali thought to herself as she flew around the main tribe area.

Jack wondered around the forest he couldn't remember where he set up camp yet he didn't care he enjoyed the scenery just as much as he enjoyed talking to the angels. He still couldn't believe that he actually sat down and talked to them. As night feel jack decided to climb a tree and stay there for the night. He started drifting off wondering to himself what it would be like to have wings

Life As Deirk wasn't very hard until the war hit. Then he parents went away to go join the battle. He was raised on what his parents left him and he had no siblings so he basically got to do what ever he wanted. One thing he liked doing was looking at the girl Celeste's wings. He loved there color there shape. He also liked her. He liked how brave and beautiful she was, he kind of obsessed over her but in a good way. Deirk loved being around Celeste more then anything and he would go through a war just to save her.
Dierk walks to Celeste's room and knocks "Hey. Saw you went out of camp."

Finally getting out of the forest just as night began to fall, Dara looked at her wings. They weren't badly scratched; she could probably still fly with them. It probably would just take more effort. Looking at her home on her mountain, she jumped, then flapped her wings to fly up. The air rushed around her, stinging the cuts on her wings. She nearly dropped a few times because of the stiffness and soreness her wings felt. Finally getting to the top of her mountain, she went to her makeshift bed on the ground, wrapped her wings around her for warmth, then slowly fell asleep.

Jacob woke up a bit after he dozed off, he jumped down from the tree. It was dark but luckily he had his flash light. He turned it on then proceeded to wonder. He eventually came to a stream that he took a quick drink and continued to walk he eventually spotted something white in the distance. When he went to take a closer look he saw they were wings," another angel he thought this is the three today." he thought to himself, he looked closer at the wings and saw that they were bleeding. He took off his weapons and sat down beside a tree and waited for the angel to wake up.

As swans needn't much sleep, Dara woke up about an hour and a half later. She inspected her wings again. They had stopped bleeding, but they would get infected if she didn't treat them soon. Turning into a swan, she felt like it'd be easier to fly as a bird. Her body was lighter in this form (Even though she was way underweight already). Flying down, she found a stream near the edge of the forest. Looking around, she was sure she had seen nobody, and switched back to her angel form to clean her wings.

Some how the angel didn't notice him he grinned as he saw her go back to the stream. He walked down to the stream and was behind the angel he leaned sideways on the tree then said," you need to pay better attention to your surroundings, because if I was someone else you would not be disinfecting your wings right now." he chuckled a bit and sat down in front of the tree
