Fandom Sword Art Online: The Front Lines

Maoni stared before blushing and looking off tot he side "Oh shut up..its not like we're naked or something. Just take your bath." she moved her hands from his face and pulled her wrists out of his hands "Dont think just because tonight I was nice to you that i'd be like that to you from now on." This wasnt the moment but..she wanted to kiss him. Knowng her resistance, she walked away from Hisashi and walked to the doorway. Resist, Maoni. Not yet..not yet

"There'd be no fun in trying if you were!" Hisashi called after Maoni. He followed her to the doorway and leaned on the frame behind her. "Just promise me you'll get some more sleep. Not that you need any beauty rest." He said before turning back and closing the door quietly behind him.


Hisashi took a quick shower, that's the same thing as a bath, right? He didn't care that much.


After maybe a cold, five minute shower, Hisashi made his way back into the living room and layed down on the couch, wearing his shorts once again.


He sighed, having calmed down a lot since when he'd woken up, and slowly drifted off to sleep once more.

Maoni nodded "yep." Walking away she ignored his comment and went up to her bed where she snuggled under the sheets and fell asleep. He did give her a heart attack when he had woken up. Hopefully he didn't do it again. Not that he could help that, those type of nightmares held that type of reaction. Especially her. She'd wake up screaming and crying when she'd have her nightmare. The pain it caused her to lose those who stuck with her.


She had a new set of friends but how long would it be till they disappear too?
 
The next morning Kino shot out of bed, blood rushing to his head, giving him vertigo. "Kyuuuuu!" He said as he dropped to the ground. "Uhhhhhnnnnnnnn." Kino grabbed his head. "JEP! HELP ME!" He called out, trying to wake up his friend.

Jepitha jumped up from his position, his eyes wide, and he had his nervous face. Once he realized what was going on, he pushed Kino off of him. "What the hells going on?!" He yelled. Jepitha suffered Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, one of the many things that gets Jep ready to attack was being shaken while sleeping, that's a good way to get him real stressed out quickly.

More screaming was all Maoni needed. Luckily she was awake already and making breakfast. Using her max cooking level to create a perfect meal for herself and the boys. Though, the look on her face didnt look any different from other times. She was right about Telling Hisashi that just because she was like that to him last night, that she wouldnt be like that forever. It was as if nothing even happened between the two.
 
Hisashi's eyes opened at the sound of yelling. He sat up and stretched his arms. "Sound's like Kino's awake." He yawned.


"I'm sure he's fine with Jep. He probably gets nightmares too." Hisashi shrugged and pulled himself off the couch. He heard noises from the kitchen, so he made his way to that direction.


Hisashi blinked and chuckled when he saw Maoni focusing on making food. He walked into the kitchen and leaned on the counter next to her. He watched silently for a moment before his eyes moved to look at Maoni.


"I wanted to thank you. For last night." He said slowly before he sighed.


"I usually try to avoid breaking down like that, which I guess just makes it worse." His eyes unfocused for a second as he thought to himself.


He shrugged looked back at Maoni before straightening himself up. "Smells good in here. What are you making?" He asked, changing the subject.

Maoni was just about to reply with 'Nothing happened last night' but he continued on and this made her look at him again "I'm making breakfast..." she said as she put a pan into the oven and then put something on top of the stove. Of course, with the mechanics of the game it'd only take a few moments " turning towards him, she spoke "Dont hold in anything that mostly lets you break down like you did. It makes matters worse when you keep holding it in. I know from experience." walking over, she placed her hand on his cheek and smiled a little before dropping it and turning away from him to cvheck the food
 
Kino fell to the ground. His vertigo quickly ceased as he stared at Jep. He stood and held his hands over his mouth, attempting to keep himself from crying, but it was no use. Tears began streaming down his face, disappearing as quickly as they had appeared. Kino took a few steps back towards the door, keeping his eyes on Jep, and when he felt the wall pressing against his back, he turned and ran out of the room; past the kitchen, then out of the house.

Jepitha realized what he just did. He rubbed his face, wiping all the cold sweat off his head. He jumped out of bed and ran after Kino. "Kino! Wait!" He yelled as eh tried to follow him.

Hisashi smiled softly as he listened to Maoni. He leaned closer, opening his mouth to speak, before the sound of Kino running past them and of the door cut him off.


"I'm noticing a trend here, 'cept last time he ran crying out of the building, it didn't end well for any of us." Hisashi said as Jepitha quickly followed after Kino.


"Better go help find the kid before he gets into any trouble." He sighed, brushing past Maoni as he made his way towards the exit of the cabin. He opened the door and winced as the sunlight met his eyes. Once he'd adjusted to the change in light, he around, spotting Jep.


"What happened with the kid?" He called out to him as he began to walk around, searching for Kino.
 
Maoni heard the commotion going on and it caused her to look towards the opening side of the kitchen, watching as Kino ran out "What the.." she said softly before looking at Hisashi with a nod "Alright. Let me finish this up." she said as she quickly finished and then walked outside "Jep! Why the hell did Kino run out!?"
 
Jepitha shook his head as he looked around frantically. "The damn kid shook me awake, and it kicked in my PTSD. I thought I was being attacked in my sleep." He said nervously, he kept looking around every spot he was close to. He really messed up, for once.
 
Kino had continued running. He ran as far away from the cabin as he could until he found himself crashing into someone else and falling to the ground. He climbed off top of the strange and rubbed his head. "Owwww." He said as he looked down at the figure. "Sorry. I'm so sorry." Kino apologized. "Are you okay?" He asked the stranger.
 
Itsuki had not been expecting to get tackled as hard as he had been. Though he was pretty skinny himself, he hadn't pictured a small kid as the person who knocked him to the ground so quickly. "Yeah i-i-i'm fine just d-d-d-dont worry about it" Itsuki said as he got up. He brushed himself off as he got up "Are you o-o-ok? What are you r-r-running from?"
 
While Jepitha was looking around for Kino, his head bumped into the a tree rather hard. At that moment, Jepitha felt something in his mind just finally breaking. He yelled out. "God... DAMMIT!!!!!" He yelled at the very top of his lungs before he kicked the tree, forcing the rather large to fall down. The tree falling could be heard from where Kino was.

Jepitha walked into the clearing in which Kino and the other person were in. He kept looking around, too scared to be real observant. "Maoni, Hisashi! Do either one of you two see him anywhere?!" He called out as he kept searching frantically.

Hisashi followed quickly after Jep, looking wide eyed around the clearing.


"What even happened?" He whipped his head around and his eyes caught on the figure on the other side. Who was he?





"H-hey!" He called out to the silver haired guy across the clearing.


"Er, have you seen a lil' kid about yay high, black hair, probably crying?" He asked him, holing his hand up to show an exaggeration of Kino's height.

Maoni had followed Hisashi and watched as he called out to another boy. She took this time to look around "Where would Kino hide..." she then looked at Jep "I dont see him here! This place is pretty much a safe zone but not against monsters in the woods!" That's what worried her most. If he was so afraid right now, what would happen if he ran into an enemy?
 
Jepitha nodded as he continued looking, he didn't want to loose Kino, especially if was because of himself. Kino definitely knew how to push some buttons, but Jepitha got used to it, Kino was like a son to Jepitha, and like all fathers, they don't want to lose their sons. Jepitha got onto his knees to catch his breathe, and relax a little.

Kino saw Jep from where he was hiding and sighed. He stood and walked over to him. He offered him a hand and helped Jep up. After that he hugged the man. "I forgive you." He said.

Hisashi smirked and leaned against a tree, watching Kino and Jep hug. He quickly glanced over to Maoni before reaching his arm around her shoulders and pulling her close to him. "What a crazy bunch we got here, huh?"
 
Jepitha gasped as he looked up and saw Kino in front of him. He hugged him back tightly before he let out a long sigh. "I'm so sorry." He said softly.
