Maoni was taking her shower. Sure it took a bit but she was a girl! she had every right to take her time! As her shower ended, she stepped out and put on her robe followed by a towel over her head. Walking out of the bathroom, she was rubbing the towel on her head "Bathroom is open!' she called as she walked to where she could see into the livingroom and seen Hisashi on the couch. Leaning foward on the banister, she called out "Hey Hisashi." he didnt even have a blanket with him "You know you need a blanket to sleep with, right?"

Hisashi blinked a few times, as he'd spaced out. He turned his head towards Maoni, a blank look in his eyes. He held his eyes closed for a few seconds and opened them again. He shrugged with a slight smile at the corner of his mouth when his eyes focused.


"Wasn't gonna go through your stuff to find one." He said, sounding tired.


Hisashi stretched and rested his arm on the arm of the couch, leaning into it.


"I was planning on showering, but I think I'll wait till morning. Too tired." He thought out loud, looking and sounding rather distant.

Maoni shook her head and muttered "You're hopeless.." she said as she opened a closet and got a blanket out for hisashi. Closing the closet, she then went down the stairs and walked over, "Here" Maoni opened the blanket and layed it on legs "Its my favorite one. Nice and warm too, I may add." she continued to use the towl on her hair to dry it off "I hope you sleep well."

Hisashi chuckled before looking down at the blanket and feeling it between his fingers.


"Thanks for the blanket. And, you too." He didn't move from his sitting position, as he began to stare off into space once more. Slowly, his hand moved and he began to play with the ring around his neck.


"To be honest with you, I'm kind of afraid of going to sleep. Afraid of what I'll see." He said, not looking at Maoni.

Maoni leaned foward and placed her free hand on his head "If anything you can run to my room like a child." she was half kidding half not. But her expression had shown she was kidding. "I wouldnt mind." she shrugged and took her hand off "I'll be up for a little while, so knock on my door if you need anything." with that, she made her leave and went upstairs and into her room where she changed into a tank top and some shorts. "That feels better." she said to herself as she walked to the window and looked outside

Hisashi smiled sadly as Maoni walked away. He sighed and stretched his body across the couch, laying on his back. He continued to play with the ring for a moment and chuckled a bit to himself.


"... She reminds me of you a lot, Nat." He rolled the ring between his thumb and his index finger, feeling the indents. "Heh, The kid was right though. What I did today puts me on the same level as what those monsters did to you... To all of you." Hisashi sighed and rolled over so that his face was to the back of the couch, and pulled the blanket to his neck as he tried to fall asleep.

Maoni had still been awake just staring at the stars "I miss this..." taking a deep breath, she sighed and walked away from the open window and walked to her bed. She layed down and got onto her side, taking a book out of her sidetable and she began to read, her head rested against her hand which had been propped up by her arm

Jepitha chuckled at Hisashis comment. "Why thank you, I've been told that a couple of times before." He said as he watched him leave. He decided to look around the cabin curiously. He returned to the living room, passing by Maoni in the hall. He saw that Hisashi was playing with a ring. "Just to tell you, it never gets any easier. And who's ring is that?" He asked him curiously.

Hisashi stayed silent for a moment before rolling over on the couch to face Jep.


"Jeez, we need to get you a cat bell. I didn't even notice you there." He said, sounding ashamed of himself for not hearing Jep coming.


"It's my ring, if you must know. It's one of the things I had custom made here." He said, looking in Jep's direction lazily as he yawned.

Maoni heard mumbles coming from downstairs. She was guessing that both jep and hisashi were still awake just like he "I guess they can't sleep" closing her book, she placed it on the side table and layed on her back, closing her eyes why must these boys finally bring out the soft side of me... Kino reminds me of Talron.. Jep reminds me of Ray and hisashi reminds me of kyo... Her eyes opened and she looked at the celing

Jepitha chuckled at the being silent comment. "Well it's a lot easier when your not wearing twenty of light metal armor." He sat on the counter as he listened to Hisashi. "Reminds me of my ring." He said as he opened his inventory and brought a silver promise ring, it was in a shape of a dragon. "This is my promise ring, I'm waiting for my future wife." He told him

Hisashi snorted.


"A symbol of love, and you have it shaped like a dragon. Somehow, that doesn't surprise me." He pulled himself up so that he was leaning on the arm of the couch.


"Mine's just got the names of my friends. Had it made after they..." His voice trailed off and he sighed.


"I plan on getting a real one when- no, IF I ever get out of here." His eyelids began to grow heavy as he blinked slowly.


"Honestly, I don't have anything to look forward to if I make it to the end."

Jepitha shrugged as he listened to him while he got himself a cup of water. "Well if we all make it, then you have us at least." He said before he headed back to the hallway. "Gnight Hisashi." He said before he left the living room, and went straight to his room. He plopped down on the open and fell asleep after he out the glass on the side table.

Maoni yawned softly and pulled a blanket over her small frame and curled up in a ball. She wasnt cold but the warm was pretty inviting. Maybe she'd sleep just for a little bit... a nap so to say. But everyone knew that wasnt going to happen due to recent events of today. Not to mention that nightmares have been coming back frequently and have been haunting her

(I wouldn't plop down on the open if I were you... Even after outing the glass...)


"Night." Hisashi muttered, knowing Jep wouldn't hear him anyways.


Hisashi rolled over and slipped into a light sleep. Throughout the night, he would toss and turn, waking up multiple times, his heart racing. He was plagued by nightmares every time he closed his eyes.


Visions of the day's events blurred with memories of his friends getting killed.


Eventually, Hisahsi dreamed that he was in his room back in the real world. He sat up from his computer and walked over to his door. He hesitated before opening it, and a harsh light met his eyes.


Instead of the hallway of his house, he was suddenly in a familiar dungeon in Aincrad.


He turned and saw him and his friends walking and laughing after clearing the dungeon. "This is..."


Blue flashes appeared as suddenly the group was surrounded. "No! Get out of there!" He shouted uselessly.


Hisashi watched in horror as his friends were attacked, unable to react fast enough. He stood there, screaming and shouting, telling them to teleport away.


The leader of the red guild suddenly pulled back their hood as they raised an axe to deal the final blow, and rather than the killer's face was Hisashi's.


"NO! STOP IT!" Hisashi cried out, opening his eyes.


Hisashi sat up, breathing heavily. He dug his nails into the couch as he blinked, realizing where he was.

Maoni picked up the sudden screaming that woke her up out of her sleep. Causing her to shoot up in her bed and look around for any intruders. This was only out of instinct. Her brain knew there was no way for people to get in but sleeping felt like the real world. "Was that..?" she got out of the bed and walked out, checking Jep and Kino's room, they were both still in bed. It was probably hisashi. So she walked to the banister and saw him sitting up on the couch. He seemed to be panting


"Hisashi." Maoni called out softly as she made her way down the stairs "Are you alright?"

Hisashi swallowed hard and looked around, chest heaving. He heard a voice say his name and turned to look in the direction it came from. His eyes were wide as he tried to pinpoint where the person was.


Hisashi took a deep breath before talking. "M-Maoni?" He spoke between ragged breaths.


"I- I'm fine. Go back to sleep." He lied, brushing his hands through his hair. His right hand dropped and he held it over his bare chest, feeling his heart beat rapidly. His fingers curled around the ring on his neck. Hisashi's has clenched as he tried to force back the tears that threatened to fall.

Maoni ran her hand over the lights and brought them up a little, keeping them dim. Walking over, she stood in front of him and leaned down, putting her hands on his shoulders "I'm already awake. I thought something had happened." he was scared in some form..yes? "Actually, I know something happened. Nightmare?" she asked as she took her hands off his shoulders and stood straight back up "Why dont you take a quick bath to cool you off..clear your mind."

Nightmare? No kidding. I've never experienced a nightmare as realistic as that one.


Hisashi nodded when Maoni guessed that he'd had a nightmare. "Something like that." He muttered. He sat there a moment, trying to control his breathing, before he stood up.


He closed his eyes and sighed, before looking at Maoni. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to wake you.


A bath would probably wake the other two, I think I'll go for a walk instead. Quieter that way. You all deserve a good night's sleep. Don't let me get in the way of that."


He rubbed the back of his neck, trying his hardest to make it seem like he was fine, not wanting to worry Maoni.

Maoni rolled her eyes "Stop lying. You're horrible at it." she grabbed his hand and started dragging him to the bathroom "Dont try to talk your way out of anything either." she opened the door to the bathroom and pulled him in "Just have a bath okay? It wont wake anyone up, I promise." Looking at Hisashi now in the light, and his expression was something that the young Blade Witch didnt like to see. It was the same look on her face sometimes. Without even thinking, she pulled him right into her and she wrapped her arms around his torso in a hug "Dont make that face..."

Hisashi grunted in surprise as Maoni pulled him into a hug. He wasn't sure how to react at first, but shyly, he returned the hug.


Hisashi rested his forehead on Maoni's shoulder. "... I'm sorry." He whispered, hugging Maoni a bit tighter.


His body shuddered breifly as tears began to stream down Hisashi's face.


He stayed in that position for a moment, whispering "I'm sorry, I'm sorry." Over and over again.

Maoni said nothing as he began to whisper that he was sorry repeatedly. He was broken..and he did so much to keep it hidden that he wasnt hurt or anything was wrong. "Dont be sorry, Hisashi. There is nothing to be sorry about." Why did he have to cry? He was tugging her heartstrings and she hated when her heartstrings were messed with "You're with us, people who swear not to leave your side no matter what..." closing her eyes, she gently rubbed his back "Let it all out.."

Hisashi sniffed, and calmed himself down enough to speak clearly.


"That's the problem though. I killed a man today, and had the audacity to say it wasn't personal. And you all refused to leave. I don't deserve friends like you guys. And you guys deserve a lot better than me."


He pulled away from the hug and stared down at his feet.


"I'm at a really low place, and I'm afraid I'm just gonna drag you down with me."

Maoni shook her head "I dont think you can drag us down in general. You're just upset right now and need to be brought back up." she cupped his face and lifted his head to look at her "Like I said, just take a bath and relax, okay? I know you did something bad today but that doesnt change who you are. Just know that."

"It's more than just being upset, but I'll get over it. I don't want you to have to worry about me." He sighed.


Hisashi gave Maoni a sad smile as he carefully put his hands on her wrists and lifted his head. He looked down at her, his face only a few inches away from hers, and let out a small mix between a snort and a laugh.


"To think, just yesterday you wanted nothing more than for me to leave you alone, and now..." A faint glint of mischeif sparked on his face. "Now I'm standing partially clothed in your bathroom."


He joked, but he found it crazy how much she'd opened up to him compared to the day before.


Hisashi gave Maoni a slight nod. "Now that you mention it, a bath sounds really nice right about now."
