Surnaturel Academy

and I'm just saying, I'm not particularly ragging on your sword. My character, however, has plenty of reasons to do so given his background and training in a subsection of chinese martial arts that emphasizes smooth, flowing motions of a relaxed body and the generation of inner strength over lumbering, explosive bursts of physical prowess.

I'm not a big fan of fantasy swords that hold little to no basis in the reality of what a sword is, no, but I don't particularly care if someone uses one, because I can recognize the cool factor afforded to swinging around a slab of metal. I only used what I know of swords to add further detail to an IC observation that is fully within the scope of my character to make.

Had my character been from Shaolin, more acknowledged for its external focus in martial arts, then he might even have been impressed that such a weapon was wielded in battle, as use of extremely heavy weapons such as specially made guandao was often used less for actual combat and more for exhibitions of strength and control. The largest of these specimens found apparently weighs some 80 kilograms, about 176 pounds.

And that's all in fair game for your character to not see reason in the sword smooth and flowing works very well and is always to be remembered but on the flip side where as my character was never taught that, he trained himself with the two handed weapons for as long as he can remember so these are light for him

With all that said there seems that there is something we could learn from each other, I learn flow and ease where as you learn how to physically train only using your mind to do so

I never said that he did, you must realize my first comment was in pure sarcasm, I'm saying to zerohex that if we some how got our characters to communicate that across to each other then there would be something to be learned for each other , otherwise none of that last half even applies to either of us

eh, it's different routes to the same goal pretty much, internals focus on smooth motion and cultivation of inner energy but eventually turn this into explosive displays of external skill (in simpler terms, do yoga, build chi, use chi to punch hard when needed) while externals focus on the strengthening of the body in order to cultivate internal energy (get swole, this leads to building chi which leads to punching shit hard naturally). Methods and styles are very different and have their own advantages but the ultimate goal is more or less the same: get fit, punch shit hard.

Then how about try talking to him? Ya know IC?

'Since you are talking about weapons, what do you think of mine? Lovely day it is for sword-play.'

Unlike Peter you can do that. Cause, he can't communicate and what not.

Just how far down did you jam those swords? Unless they're a good half a foot inside the earth, they're either going to slide out or snap under your weight.

Unless this is one of those silly "light as a feather, stiff as a board lithe as a snake" things that anime protagonists use to laugh at physics for a little while before returning to reality.

Well if you look at the blade, the tip of the sword is about a foot long, but yes I did force them down into the ground a good ways, I did think of that before I did that

So you did just jam your swords half a foot into the ground on a whim, so you could practice your gymnastics on it.

I'm impressed with your character's boldness, especially in front of the teacher.

Hey he's got to practice somehow, even though it is brash he doesn't really care much if it draws a scene , even from the teacher

Heck, I'm sure this school has a gym. If your character practices in the middle of class, who knows what Mr. X is going to do?

Still, it's an impressive feat that your character would do that to his beloved sword.

That's very true there is no telling what he will do but with his gymnastics has its side of combat as well he only does this on these swords since they can be made again since their only materialized from the bands

Project temporarily change Masako's body into that of a normal human and thus make her loose all her powers including curses as well as change of appearance is a go!

Soooo, Yumi, an actually vulnerable character instead of a powerful one masquerading as a vulnerable character? I mean, she has a foxtail and I think ears or whatever but she's beneath a normal, healthy human in every respect.

Yeah I sprayed Kael.

But having Yumi getting sprayed is funny too

Also Mr.X is hilariously inept too

I love how @Newtype just has his character reply like any kind of point or argument was presented to him.

Also, you fool! Do you not realize Mr X's power is being invincible in combat?

There's no way this spar will end in Roth's favor. Mr. X is the Ultimate Fighter who can destroy entire armies and strike 4052 times faster than any living being can even process the information!
