Fantasy Supernatural Teenage Drama

Ryan's class was dismissed and he walked around with Nico still on his shoulder. "Hey Nico mind holding this sign next to you?" Ryan gave the baby a sign that read "Not Ryan's baby". Nico nodded and grabbed the sign. "So...no play practice, but where's your sister?" Ryan looked around for Bella.

When class ended, Alec head down the hallway, again passing the Elemental Control classroom. For some reason, the door was still shut. Stopping, he looked again. The small window was iced over and when he touched the door, intense cold stung his hand. It was obvious the door was sealed shut. He couldn't do anything to help, but maybe...

Alec hurried down the steps, glancing into each small courtyard he passed. Finally, he found Jackie. "Jackie!" He called, jogging over to her.

Dexter hissed when the door didn't even budge. When Ryder mudged him off, Dexter quickly wrapped his arms around himself so that they were covered by his armpits. The cold began to worsen on him, seeing that he was sweating profusely earlier from concentrating to hard. Dexter focused on Ryder to try to ignore it at the moment. As Ryder put the jacket he was wearing around his shoulders, he felt kind of bad for the guy, considering less of himself was covered up now. There was a brief moment where his breathing stopped as his eyes laid on Ryder's form, his muscles flexing as he maneuvered the heavy jacket onto him. The heat rushing to his head helped to warm him up a bit. His body went rigid when Ryder hugged onto him again, still not use to so much muscle definition hanging onto him at once. "H-heh, you weren't l-lying when you said your c-clothes showed off your u-umm 'stuff', yet I insist that they still don't match." He joked.

Rob walked out of the orchestra room with a bunch of younger kids, "No I wont turn to metal. No. stop. Stop. Stop. Stop." He quickly broke from the crowd and hid around a corner, before walking down the hallway more. "Well, at least the 12 year olds like me." He frowned and continued to walk down the hallway

Ryder mock-glared. "Why do you think I took them off?" he teased, extremely conscious of how close they were but putting up with it for Dex's sake. The partial shifter had immunity against the cold, while everyone else didn't. "Maybe I could break the door," he thought aloud, "but you'd have to put up with the cold for a bit if I did that." Sighing, Ryder rested his chin on Dexter's head. "Maybe someone's tryin' to get us out right now."

Dexter chuckled slightly, seeing the fog form from his mouth. Dexter contemplated solutions in his head that wouldn't result in him turning into Jack Frost. Dexter shook his head and looked up at the mere thought of putting up with this cold any longer. He adjusted Ryder's coat and tried to relax into him, laying his head in the gape of his neck. He sighed internally as his mind went blank on what he could do. "They had better be.." Dexter mumbled, turning his head slightly so that he could speak. "..let me know if I start to poke you with my hair." Dexter had been in a rush and had stuffed a handful of gel in his hair that morning; he wondered how much harder they were considering how long he was in extremely low temperatures.

Ryder shook his head. "You're fine. I don't mind." He gasped lightly when Dexter snuggled up to him. A tingle ran up his spine and he tightened his embrace. "Hold up. Maybe I can..." Using his power, Ryder made his body heat up, acting like a fireplace. "This good?"

Absent-mindedly, Dexter focused his attention towards everyone else in the room. He could sense the desparate panic among them, but the burning need to stay warm had a higher priority than freaking out. He pictured everyone in the room huddling together and smirked. Magically, Dexter had all of a sudden had forgotten the predicament they were in. It had something to do with Ryder, he knew for sure but couldn't delve into it in more depth at the moment. The heat that was already present between them had increased dramatically all of a sudden and he suddenly felt toastier than before. Dexter was snuggled so close up to the boy in front of him, he could feel his heart pump softly against his chest. The position was so intimate that Dexter forgot there were other people around him. The result of the emotion resonating in Ryder and the comforting warmth had him extremely relaxed, almost sleepy. He slid his eyes closed as he enjoyed the comfort for as long as he could. "Whoa... you couldn't think to do this before...?" He asked drowsily, agitation and frustration completely distant in his voice. "I'm starting to think you had all of this planned out.." Dexter moved his arms up a bit up on Ryder's back so that they were just below his backbone. "You're a puzzle you know. It's kind of hard to read someone whose just so... unexpected. In a good way.."

Ryder felt himself beginning to get nervous as Dexter glued himself to his chest. They had just met the day before, but they were already too close for his comfort...literally. He didn't necessarily dislike it. It was just different and uncomfortable. "Er..." How was he supposed to respond to that last question? No one was watching them; they had their own problems to deal with. Still, he couldn't help but begin to panic. "I might just break down the door after all," he murmured, feeling his heart rate skyrocket when Dex's hands moved up. Careful not to jostle him too much, Ryder shuffled towards the door, getting ready to blow it off its hinges.

As soon as Telepathy had been dismissed, Jordan started making her way to English. However, when she passed the counselor's hall, she remembered the note she had to get from Ms. Tyriden. As she changed her route she quickly tried to come up with a plan of how to get a note. All her thoughts were lost though when she walked into the room. Ms. Tyriden was drastically searching through drawers with a panicked look. "M-Ms. Tyriden... Is everything alright?" The counselor looked up at Jordan trying to disguise her fear. "Oh, Jordan...! Um, everything's fine dear..! Uh, what do you need?" She tried to situate herself in her seat, but Jordan eyed her warily. "Ms. Tyriden... I can feel your emotion, you know. You're scared. Why?" "Ugh... It's terrible...!" The counselor shook her head and buried it in her hands. Jordan started feeling scared herself. She never seen one of the counselors so unstable before. "What's terrible? Did you lose something? Are we in danger?" Ms. Tyriden looked at her for a moment, then her eyes flashed anger, "You're a student! This is confidential business! I cannot be speaking to you about this!" Jordan blinked taken aback, and she backed away to the doorway, "I-I'm sorry mam... I didn't mean to... Intrude..." Jordan looked around nervously, and the counselor's eyes softened. "Oh no, Jordan dear, I'm sorry. I'm letting my panic get to you. Everything is fine. I just... Misplaced something." She considered for a moment then muttered, "Well... I wasn't even the one who misplaced it, the nurse was, so... Anyway! What do you need?" Jordan's eyes widened and she felt her heart start to race. 'The nurse misplaced something? How likely is it that the something the nurse misplaced, is the very thing you and Rob stole and hid...!? ... Very likely.' Jordan tried to mask her thoughts as she briefly looked into the counselor's mind. Her fears were confirmed. They have already found out about the missing potion. Jordan figured they would find out sooner or later, but not this quickly. Jordan tried to control her expression and keep her body from trembling from fear. "U-Um... I need..." "What did I need again!? Why did I come here...!?" "I need... A note..." Ms. Tyriden looked at her, "A note for what?" "A note confirming that I came here." The counselor watched her confused, then started grabbing a piece of paper. Jordan was shocked that there was no questioning, but it appeared Ms. Tyriden's thoughts were still elsewhere. Even in Jordan's fear, she thought it'd be best to take advantage of the situation. And she felt horrible for it. "I need you to write that I came here in second period with Rob Compton. We had a meeting with you. So we are both excused from the class. Oh... Um, you need to sign it Ms. Tyriden." She was watching as the counselor wrote out the note without question. She nearly forgot to sign so Jordan reminded her. The counselor was so side-tracked, she handed Jordan the note. With a glazed look she asked, "Is that everything Jordan?" "Yes mam... Thank you..." She left the room, shocked. Both from what she had discovered inside there, and also how she had managed to have a counselor give her a note without questioning. It was almost like she compelled her to, but Jordan knew it wasn't that. Panic really makes you act on impulse, and Jordan felt really bad for taking advantage of that. She tried to comfort herself knowing she probably kept Rob out of trouble at least... For now... What if they find out who took the potion!? Jordan continued making her way to English class, in a daze, just as Ms. Tyriden was in when she gave her the note.

Dexter's eyebrows narrowed rapidly, slightly startled as Ryder's heart rate sped up drastically. The nervousness and panic built up and blasted his emotional sensitive mind. He removed himself from Ryder as politely as he could. He stared at questionably as he went to the door and sighed deeply, his face slightly grim. A voices began berating him as he was deep in thought. 'Too soon you f*cking idiot. Did you even SEE the look on his face? Oh man! Oooh rejected, what were you expecting, are you kidding?! Trouble in paradise, again. You couldn't at least take it SLOW for once? I mean, really? Have you learned anything the last time you pulled that? This ISN'T a fairy tale you hopeless fool. What were you thinking? This guy doesn't know you, he never will.' Dexter never had such thoughts invade him in this way before. He winced as the pain in his head began again, but to a much lesser extent. He clenched his teeth and tightened his grip on Ryder's jacket.

He raised his eyebrows when the other guy pulled away, confused at the sudden change of heart. Suddenly, the realization dawned on Ryder that Dex would feel his emotions. 'Ah, s***.' He didn't really want him to leave. It was just so sudden that he didn't know how to respond. When Dex began to move away, Ryder yanked him back, wrapping an arm around him with his hand resting on the back of the other boy's neck. "Hey, you'll freeze. Put up with it for a couple more minutes, yeah?" A half-smile tugged at his lips as he glanced down at Dex. He needed some time before he had the energy to bust out of the room, as he had expended a lot in the combined attack and also in heating himself up.

Rob had decided he would find Jordan and tell her about his recent success with Miuna. He was smiling like an idiot to himself as he walked through the halls looking for Jordan, until he saw her.

"Hey Jordan!" Rob jogged up and looked at her, "So I did it! I--" he looked at her face, "What's up? You look like you seen a ghost."

Jordan blinked a couple times when Rob came up to her, so she could focus on him. He had been radiating happiness before he saw her, and now he was concerned. Jordan silently cursed herself for ruining his good mood, and looked at him, trying to smile, "Before I tell you what's up... I need you to tell me what you did! What did you accomplish!?" She asked trying to sound genuinely enthusiastic. And really, she was, but it was just really dim, hiding behind a storm of emotions in her mind.

Marceline, currently in the realm of the dead, observed the classroom quietly, snickering inaudibly at the events that unfolded. "Welll that was reckless.." She thought aloud, not caring if her voice had echoed in the human world. She had positioned herself on the teacher's desk in the back of the class. She wore a heavy knit beanie and a red leather jacket, almost mocking the other students fighting desperately against the cold. A spirit willed itself in the room and handed her a cup of black coffee. She sipped it sparingly, listening and observing the scene before her. She mostly interested in the two guys who were huddled up away from everyone else. Her expression was blank and slightly annoyed at the puke enduring moment. Grinning deviously, she used her power on the both of them and watched the sparks fly. She took another careful sip of her coffee.

Rob shook his head, "nevermind that, what's wrong?" He frowned a little, "everything ok?" He leaned in a little closer a put his mouth closer to her ear, "is it about the um... Thing?" He pulled back and looked at her face hoping to read her facial expression. "Cause I told you, that's taken care of."

Jordan's false smile immediately diminished when he said to nevermind what had gotten him in such a good mood. When he whispered about the potion, Jordan pulled him to the side of the hall and weakly leaned against the wall. She buried her face and shook her head, then whispered, "Rob they already found out it's missing... I'm sure you hid it well, but... What if they found out who took it!? What if we messed up!?" Her lip quivered and she looked up at him, "What if we weren't careful enough... Hell, we were hardly careful as it was! We were acting on impulse! We're going to get caught Rob! We're probably going to slip up!" She let all her fear and panic come out and she slowly slid down the wall burying her face. She felt bad for exploding at Rob, but this was one of the worst things she had done. In the back of her head she was chastising herself for getting so worked up over something so small. Some kids have killed people, and they can get over it! Jordan never had done anything this bad before though. She was a goodie-two-shoes. However, no matter how small the bad deed was... It could still get them in a world of trouble. The potion was rare, and dangerous. If the teacher's thought it had fallen into the wrong hands... They could get horribly punished.

"Whoa Whoa Whoa Whoa." Rob put his hands on her shoudler, "Calm down crazy train." Rob frowned a little, "Look, they dont know it was us. Yes, it'll probably pretty easy to put the dots together once they ask the nurse about everything, but what are they gonna do? Expel us? They wont toss out their own, and when they ask why we did it, if they ask us, we tell them the truth. Because its not right to torture another human being. And then.." He looked at her and pulled his arms away, "Can you read his mind again? Maybe you can offer that as an alternative? it didn't hurt him... It made you tired, but I dont think it hurt you did it?"

Jordan looked at him for a moment, thinking about his words. A moment ago she was freaking out because she didn't know what to do. They didn't have an after plan, and it scared her. What Rob said... It was sensible at least. She took a deep shaky breath and nodded slowly, "Y-yeah I could do that again..." She bit her lip and stood up again, "Rob, I'm sorry... The start of this year has been insane, and I guess... I'm scared." She looked down, and wrapped her arms around herself.

Rob smiled, "You have no reason to be scared, you've got friends around you, including me. If you ever need any help, Im probably just around the corner both literally and figuratively. Oh! And also! I asked Miu out.. kind of, really I kind of rambled on and she shut me up and said okay." He nodded, "It was very weird, but it worked and we're gonna go out Friday!"

Jordan smiled softly from his first comment. "Thank you Rob." When he said she's got friends it made her think of her old friends again, and she wished she knew where they were. Then he told her the news about Miu and she brightened up some. "Really!? Yay! I'm happy for you guys!" She smiled more at him and patted his shoulder in a way of saying congrats. "I'm glad that worked out."

"So. Now what should we do to keep your mind free?" He looked around, "I dont have any more classes for the day, and I heard that practice was canceled, so Ive nothing to do for the rest of the day." Rob looked back at Jordan and smiled, "You have any missions you need help with? Cause your missions are fun, plus I get to walk in water, which I dont do very often."

Jordan smiled softly at him, "Well I'm supposed to go to my English class, but..." She sighed. She was in no mood for class. She'd rather hang out with Rob in the halls, or something. Hm. Maybe her new friends were bad influences. Whatever. "Oh! That reminds me!" She showed him the note Ms. Tyriden wrote, excusing them from Emotion Control. She grinned for a moment, then bit her lip. "Dang. I'm not really a goody-goody anymore..." She pursed her lips thinking.

Rob laughed, "Thats right, you're such a rebel Jordan. We should definitely get out of the halls though, other wise a teacher will see us and think we're up to no good." He scratched his head, "So whats your plan Rebel?" He grinned at her and looked around. "Maybe we can go find Ryan and Miu and go do something not boring."

Jordan grinned from his words, and thought for a moment, "Well... Ryan's probably in class, with Nico." She laughed softly from the thought. "But maybe we could find Miuna. Where'd you last see her?" She looked around hoping to find the girl, talking with her spirit friends. "Do you think she went to class? What class is she supposed to have?"
