Chase stood to Emile's side as the conversation began, arms crossed over his chest as he looked between the two. The fact that he clearly didn't like or trust these two wolves was written all over his face. "You're supposedly hunters, and you come to a place covered in the scents of Werewolves and Vampires. Many who are walking around, and you aren't even second guessing things?" It was pretty likely Thor had filled them in, or they just didn't care. Chase himself was wary of the fact that they called themselves hunters, or at least as Elijah had said.

Viktor frowned, he didn't like the man's attitude "We do not have to explain ourselves to you, nor do I care what you think that we are. But since you ask so nicely, if you think we would walk in here without knowledge of what was in here, and whether we would be jumped by a large number of enemies or not you are very naive. Now, did you come here to start problems or what do you want? We are here to do our job and that is what we intend to do.". Mikael had finished his report to Waltz and looked up, putting his phone in his pocket.

Elijah's smile broadened as Ashley-May planted a kiss on his cheek, offering her his hand as she led him to the waiting room. Taking a seat alongside her, keeping his hand in her own, he cleared his throat. "Don't worry about the date. All things considered, I think it went well. But... I do have something to talk to you about. Brendan, when he pulled me aside, was actually coming to talk to you. Under the circumstances, I thought the news might be better coming from me."

He squeezed Ash's hand, placing the other over top of it. "Angela's gone and she won't be coming back, not after what happened -- and that's probably for the best. Ruth has offered to manage the Clinic in the interim, but that leaves a Council seat empty. Ruth doesn't want it, but she and Brendan both agree that you'd be well-suited to the job -- if you want it. You'd take over Angela's responsibilities, overseeing the Clinic and the Colony's medical needs in the grand scheme of things." Eli paused, smiling, "...and the job would come with benefits. They offered to arrange for you to finish your education, to get your M.D."

Eli quickly added, "Don't feel like this is something you have to do, Ash. With everything going on, no one would blame you if you passed on this. But... at the end of the day, the choice is yours. I'll support you no matter what you decide." The hunter cocked his head, sighing, "I've got a decision of my own to make. Brendan and his family are leaving, too... he's offered me his Council seat. Directing hunting parties."

Evelyn was satisfied hearing Solomon agree to her terms; she knew he would never be able to resist the Book. She had expected the conversation to have ended there but when Solomon prodded further about the importance of the book and, once more, just what her Chapter House was up to she couldn't resist in answering him. "The book is gravely important, for certain, but as I've said we haven't the resources to acquire it at this time and you know as well as I do what happens should it fall into the wrong hands. I assure you if it were within our capabilities I'd bee pouring through the pages myself. This way it's off the table and into an allies hands. I'm not wrong in call you an ally, Solomon, am I?"

Emile didn't take kindly to being told to relax. While neither seemed to be overly aggressive or interested in himself or the colony, they were still off putting - hardly wolf like. Almost as though it had been removed from them and all that remained was the strengths that came with being a wolf and none of the mannerisms. It was eerie to speak to them as the second continued on with his phone. He was thankful for Chase's interruption, despite the younger wolves blunt tone and nature. He, too, was curious to know what had drawn them to the colony and why they held no concern with the 'other beings' roaming freely in a hunting colony.

The stranger soon became aggressive, threatening to take action because of Chase's simple inquiry - regardless of whether or not the younger wolf had given the inquiry with tone. He could feel Chase tense beside him, moving to step forward but Emile reached out to take a hold of the younger's arm. He would never truly prevent Chase from doing as he pleased he would at least offer a warning. Honiahaka," He said softly. "They not hunters." He never removed his eyes from the two, ready for anything. "They mercenary. Soulless. They do not care what happen to the colony, as long as they get what they want."

Ashley-May's smile faded as Elijah mentioned Brendan had wanted to speak to her, not him. He relayed what she already knew; Angela had fled the colony in the dead of night - Sandy had filled her in about most of the gossip, though her friend had left out the details as to why Ash had been able to make a few assumptions. As he went into detail on what Brenda - and Ruth! had decided on she felt a pit forming in her stomach. For years it had been what she wanted; to finish her education and work within her profession. After Mur possessing her and Mac freeing her she never thought it could be real.

Mac had offers, more than once, to be her shield and let her return to her normal life, the petite hunter had said she would protect her with her life and Ash had declined; she couldn't put someone else at risk for her dreams. Now the opportunity was back but this time an entire colony could be at risk for her wishes. She nodded, slowly understanding but unable to speak. Eli soon relayed that he was very much in the same position. "Aren't we a pair?"

Chase found it frustrating that the man didn't feel the need to explain anything. The fact that they'd even walked into a place that was essentially marked and aligned with a pack, and felt so high and mighty to do as they pleased had Chase clenching his jaw. Despite appearances the wolves had a lack of respect or courtesy when it came to their furrier side, not that he was fully one to talk. They seemed to be more like himself in a sense, putting the hunter before the wolf. For the moment it didn't matter that they were friends of Thor or attempting to do something about the seals, Chase didn't trust them in the least because of the similarities between them. He'd noted that the second had either finished what he was doing, or had simply decided the current conversation was finally worth more attention than his phone. He'd barely moved his foot, planning to take a step closer when Emile's hand landed on his arm and held his position. Listening to the Alpha's words he only narrowed his eyes further at the pair with more understanding, "I'd suggest you finish up your business with Thor and leave. But if your job involves doing anything to anyone in this colony then you'll have a helluva lot more to worry about than the First Sin." The man was in no way afraid to make his intent clear, threat or otherwise.

Elijah began to worry as Ashley-May remained silent, the overwhelmed look on her face saying everything that needed to be said despite the nod that followed. When she did finally break the brief silence, Eli smiled, chuckling. He leaned against her, his forehead against hers. "That we are. We have time to decide, both of us. I don't want to influence you either way, just know that whatever you choose... I'll be with you, if you'll have me."

As Thor scoured the room for something of entertainment, finding nothing more than a checkers board Abiagael exhaled deeply from disappointment. The sight of a once lovely game; dimmed down to a brain-dead level was nothing short of saddening. With hesitation, she'd stand and began to clear a place on the table for them to play, pushing just about all of the contents of the table to the floor, and then under the table where it would be out of sight. Although, except for the dagger, that she threw in the males bedroom. A place she'd never consider visiting, even if she were on better terms. When she'd have finally made her way back to the living room, Abiagael sat at the opposite end of the table as Thor did, with nothing more than the checkerboard between them, that and two bottles of water that she may have stolen from the males fridge. "I haven't much to ask, honestly. Though, I will say this. When this matter is settled, and if I am left unscathed I have a gift for you at my hearth." her tone was sincere as she looked at the chess board while placing her rows of chips on the board.

Thor smiled a warm smile "Knowing you that is no little gift." Having Mjölnir in mind. Moving the peasant furthest to the right two steps he said "One day, when this is all over, provided we manage to stop the First Sin...". He had been considering this ever since she gave him his hammer back, something that he had looked for for centuries. Current events had made him reach a decision however, the Deity reached into the inner pocket of his jacket, pulling out an odd-looking coin. It looked ancient and had the Ægishjálmr on it. Holding it up in front of his face whilst looking at Abiageal he said "This is rarely granted, but given how this world has treated you, and all that you have done for me. This coin grants you access to Asgard, whether you are in need or otherwise. You will have a place there, and when the time comes, you can choose where you want your spirit to reside. Abiageal Ó Mordha, from this day on, Asgards' doors are open to you.". He knew that the journey could be somewhat taxing for a human when undertaken without the aid of a god, but it wasn't harder than going for a longer run and he figured she could handle it gallantly after having recovered a bit.

Viktor chuckled, here he was having been minding his own buisness, and the next second he was being accused of being soulless by an old werewolf "Being mercenaries would imply that we serve the highest bidder, we don't. And we have larger concerns than this Colony, that besides isn't in any impending danger unless something has changed over the last few days, nor have we been given an assignment to protect it. The lack of discipline and coordination has always been a weakness of the American hunters."

He turned his eyes to the younger wolf who was making threats, his eyes were cold "Don't worry, our job is in another state entirely. But I would advice you in the future not to make threats to every stranger you meet, when you have no idea who you are talking to. The only thing that threat makes me worry about is a potential delay of a few minutes at most. You may not like us but we fight for the same thing, we do not kill for pleasure... or food." Being a pure-blood he retained more control over his wolf form, but he wouldn't be surprised if at least one of the wolves had killed a human as a wolf.

Solomon chuckled as he made his way up to his apartment. “I would dare say that you wouldn’t be wrong calling me a friend let alone an ally. We are all allies in the fight against the First Sin after all.” Solomon opened the door and found Thor starting a game of chess with the witch. “I’ll look forward to the information. Shavua Evelyn.” Solomon said before hanging up the phone.
“I’m glad to see you two getting comfortable.” Solomon said with a sigh as he started gathering the notes that had been thrown into the floor.

A desire to sleep would begin to overtake Ginny as Hypnos sent a vision to his Oracle. The vision would describe the arrival of Hades to the Colony. The Solar Eclipse heralded the god of the dead’s arrival. A procession of the dead gathered at the gates of the Colony and at the head of the crowd was a pale skinned man who was obviously Hades. The dream would shift and Hades and the dead were now inside the Colony. The lord of the dead was flanked on either side by Hypnos and Thanatos. Even though it was a dream when Hades spoke, asking for the Colony’s Council about the wish, Ginny would feel an unnerving sense of dread. Then Ginny would notice them: the Reapers. They seemed to be strewn throughout the Colony watching the inhabitants closely. One reaper whispered into Thanatos’ ear relaying information on the Colony. Ginny would hear the information as a demographic. How many humans, wolves, etc. the names of who recently died, and who was close to death. The dream would end with the Council and god’s sitting down at a table to discuss the wish.

Ginny blinks, groaning softly as fatigue comes in a wave, seeping into her bones, clouding her mind. She looks to Da Ji, realizing that this probably won’t make much sense. They never got to the part where she’s an Oracle. “Hey, one minute… got a… thing…” she manages, quickly laying down on the ground of the rec center to make sure she won’t fall and hurt herself.

Mentally facepalming at that pathetic attempt to explain the situation, she lets herself be pulled away from reality, and into the world of dreams. It’s not a pleasant dream, but she’s glad for the warning. Because if this happened without warning, she would be utterly terrified. She knows that many of the members of the colony will need warning as well, to avoid chaos. She’ll inform Brendan and Will at the first opportunity.

She watches for every detail, any hints of danger. Obviously hades could be a threat, but that’s just if he’s provoked. Which of course means keeping Mac away from this meeting. Not that that’s likely to happen of course. Ginny just hopes she won’t antagonize or threaten anyone important.

She really shouldn’t be surprised by the amount of reapers, but she’s never encountered one, and it really brings home how many people die here on a day to day basis. And of course Thanatos has been keeping tabs on them. That doesn’t surprise her as much, of course the gods would be keeping an eye on the colony, and the reapers are perfect spies. That does give her an idea, which she tucks away for later. Better to stay focused until she wakes.

Evelyn was content by Solomon's answer, though uncertain if he were simply saying it to appease her or not - only time would tell. The line disconnected with their well wishes and she set the phone down queuing up the intercom to speak to her secretary "Chadwick, send out the remaining strike teams to apprehend the other subjects, except within the America's - let's leave them to their own devices for now."

nKdhc2k.jpg

Emile winced internally as he heard Chase once more mouthed off to the unknown wolves, he was at least thankful the younger managed to keep at his side for the time being but he wasn't certain how long it would last. The two mercenaries went on to dismiss his comments - not surprising to himself though he certainly didn't appreciate their barely veiled threats. he growled lowly and pulled at Chase's arm. "Let's go." he cautioned not wanting to get into conflict with these two, certainly not if they were directly involved with a god. Manitou certainly offered him and his pack protection but his god certainly wasn't strong to fend off another god's wrath.

Ashley-May rolled her eyes and smiled, giving Eli's shoulder a playful shove as he spoke; the uncertainly in his voice clear. "Well I'm not getting rid of you now," She chided. "I need someone to be my baby daddy and Mac's too busy playing house with Will." She knew no matter what she had the three of them to support her, what ever her choices were. She leaned in a kissed his cheek briefly. "But seriously, I'll think about it and so should you; it's great opportunities for both of us."

Elijah's head tilted back with laughter as Ashley-May laid out her "intentions" for him. "There are worse fates..." he said with faux thoughtfulness, leaning in to give her a peck on the cheek. As she remarked that she would consider the offer and that he do the same with his own, he pursed his lips but nodded slowly. It was true, of course, especially in Ash's case: the ability to finish her schooling, give herself and by extension Liam a chance at a life beyond hunting. A life with stability and safety. The responsibilities would be immense of course, but the woman he'd fallen for was hardly one to balk at the sight of work.

Eli was less certain about his own acceptance and he cocked his head before speaking quietly. "It's just... I've never seen myself as much of a leader. Will and I were partners, but he's got it in his blood. He offered me the job as his aide when Brendan appointed him, you know that? I turned him down on the spot. Brendan's been here so long... those are big shoes to fill, especially at a time like this."

530014626.jpg

"Arrogant prick." He spat in frustration whilst glaring at the other wolf. Chase wasn't a fan of the mocking and was more than up for knocking this man down a peg or two right then and there, but opted not to given the fact that it was meaningless and worked against everyone in the grand scheme of things. "That's big talk for someone who came begging for a gods help." Finally he turned to follow Emile at the older man's insistence but kept the two men clearly in his peripheral's until enough distance was garnered. With blood churning he huffed, "How is they even got inside the colony to begin with? Did Vitae throw out it's safety protocol's the moment the council collapsed?" It made no sense, and he already knew he'd have to tell Will about it given the man's status he could do something about it getting things back on track in that department. It was always possible Thor..or Edgar, whoever he was pretending to be these days, had managed to set up the entry.

As Abiagael and Thor sat quietly, playing a game of checkers whilst waiting for the final decision of whether or not she was to be prosecuted and trialed as a witch would be. She was quick to startle when she heard the door open after a soft mumbling of a male's voice just outside the wooden door. It was Solomon, the sorcerer of whom posed a threat to her God and to herself. She wasn't happy with his company. Although, she was his prisoner and had no rebuttal to whatever he was to suggest the best course of actions be.

Emile continued to walk away, headed back towards the main parking lot of the colony where he knew Chase would have left his car. He did his best not to look back and see if Chase was following or not - he knew how much the hunter in the younger wolf would be bothered by it. It was within hi nature to worry over his pack - regardless of their relationship status, Chase still deserved the same worry as he would any other pack member.

As they drew away Chase questioned how the pair even got into the colony and Emile paused mid-step, a frown cross his features. If Franklin's nest had been at the gates they would have known any of his pack members by scent and Bart's ability to remember names and faces superseded facial recognition technology. He could only give Chase a confused god. "Maybe it was their god then. You think there is a hidden way to come into the colony?"

3SijZSx.jpg

"That's it exactly." She stated after Elijah worried on about how he would measure up to those already on the Council. She smirked as he watched the confusion read across his face. "You see both of them, Will and Brendan, as strong leader. You trust their judgement. You know they will do what needs to be done for the betterment of the colony, right?" She watched the man nod. "And one of the things they have in common: they think you're an asset to them and us." She leaned in and bumped her shoulder against his. "You know that neither of them would suggest anyone to the Council they thought wouldn't further their needs. You're just as good as they are, Eli, you just need to trust yourself."

She raised a hand to stop him from interrupting. "Don't give me what ever hunter bull crap you were going to give; I've heard it all from Mac. You're just as good as they are, you have probably more experience than most of them in the field, even over Mac in this case. You are beyond qualified for the position."
Safton Safton

530014626.jpg
Chase shrugged his shoulders at Emile's question as the continued on, vaguely aware that they seemed to be heading for the parking area. Whether Emile was trying to hint that he wanted to back to the packs camp or not Chase couldn't be sure. "I guess it's possible, I'm not exactly a local so I wouldn't know. The only reason I got into Vitae to begin with was because my father had a contact that agreed to falsify the test." The man was still a bit frustrated before digging his phone out of his pocket, deciding to shoot Elijah a text. You should know your furry asshole friends can be bought, I'd keep an eye on them. Did either mention how they got into the colony? Chase had two reasons for doing so. He wanted the others to both have that information, as well as knowing Elijah had likely had an actual conversation with them and got more info than he had with his pissing contest.

Lowering his hand to the side but keeping the phone in it Chase turned his attention back to Emile, "No other meetings you need to go attend or people you need to speak to?" He did realize today was meant to be the aligning day and they'd essentially gone to have breakfast and left Malcolm to deal with everything. It was hard to say if Emile just sought to get back to the pack or if he simply had nothing left to do in Vitae. And whether he was hoping for Chase to go with him was a mystery. It was hard to imagine everything was squared away so quickly. Honestly Chase was ready to head back himself, but he was hesitant to take off with the newest addition of both Wolves and these Men of Letters in the colony. He assumed the others would have a handle on it, but the last thing he wanted to do was regret leaving.

Elijah's eyes widened slightly as Ashley-May spoke with the utmost confidence... in him, about him. It wasn't a perspective he would have ever approached Brendan's offer from on his own, but he couldn't deny that the woman knew which buttons to push. His mouth slowly curved into a smile as he leaned in to plant a peck on Ash's cheek. "Thank you," he murmured quietly. "For the vote of confidence. I'll... I'll give it some thought."

Eli's phone vibrated insistently in his pocket and he gave Ash and apologetic glance before fishing it out to see Chase's name on the screen. Swiping to the text message, he read it with a wry smile and shake of the head at the werewolf's phrasing, turning it toward Ash so that she wouldn't be left out before tapping out a reply: I'll keep that in mind. With any luck they'll be moving on to New Orleans before it can become a problem. No, they didn't mention much about their arrival.

1522358163774.png

Thor looked at Solomon "Has a decision been made as to what you want to do with Abiageal?". The question was innocent enough, yet by his tone it was obvious where he stood. To get to her you'll have to get past me. He was distracted a millisecond by his phone buzzing, it was lying on the table and was from an unknown number. The other wolves didn't seem to appreciate our presence - V. The deity sighed, he'd have to attend to this later. He turned back to the sorcerer to await his reply.

Solomon continued gathering his strewn notes as Thor asked him about a decision. “ Nothing absolute. The council has yet to hold a meeting to decide such a thing. I just confirmed that as long as you are with her, or I can contain her then she is free to wander the Colony. No need to be hold up in my messy apartment. Hopefully we can arrange for some actual clothing on your first trip out. “ Solomon said placing the notes he had gathered on top of the fridge.
Solomon’s eyes wandered to his knife which had been thrown into the bathroom, “ I know you don’t like it, but there’s no need to take your frustrations out on Pan. He’s following orders.” Solomon said putting the knife on top of the fridge with the notes. “ Stay or go I don’t mind. My home is open to the both of you as long as you may need it.” As Solomon talked to began sketching the magic array he planned to use against Thor in his notebook. He had a good enough foundation, but there was still the main runes to deal with.

Ginny opens her eyes, letting out a long yawn as she sits up. “Oh, man… that’s gonna take some getting used to.” She mutters, getting to her feet, and brushing herself off. She looks over at Da Ji, wincing. “Right, Sorry about that. Should have explained earlier. Hypnos has decided to take me as his new oracle. Which is going to involve a lot of spontaneous vision naps, I can already tell.” She says, chuckling a bit.

She takes a moment to think on what she saw, taking a breath. That’s going to be very scary, for everyone involved.

As soon as it was stated that she could leave her prison, she did. She stood, mid game with Thor and began making her way to the door before stopping when she heard the male speak about her taking out her wrath on Pan, "Leniency, I have not towards such vile Gods as the Greek pantheon. A twisted lot they are. I also do not appreciate being siphoned from." her words carried a particular type of venom, one that wasn't hostile, but a warning as she said it while looking to the blade as if directly speaking to it. "Thor, let us leave this place for I wish to return home."
She did not await a response and immediately took her leave closing the door behind her which immediately caused her rage to subside when she stepped into the open air. She hated being trapped in a cage. And even if it was an apartment it was still a Human-sized cage that was used to bind Abiagael within its walls until she was released. However, now that she was allowed to wonder she was partially free, at least to the extent of which mattered. She could be outside, with nature and soon to be back home as she'd started making a bee-line directly to her heavily warded tent, which, to the common eye, wouldn't even exist let alone be picked up on by more keen eyes.
Once she had made her way to the tent and stepped into the lot of which her home was located, she immediately went to the garden which resided in the far back corner. Kneeling down, she began to talk to the Poppy flowers which were just beginning to bloom. "Hypnos, God of Dreams, hear me for I need your assistance. I seek to know what the effects of ambrosia would have on someone outside of the Greek Pantheon."

Thor nodded and followed her as she walked out from the Colony and to her tent, it did not take long for they moved swiftly. He knew that she wasn't really supposed to leave the Colony, but frankly he did not care. He was still with her. The witch walked to a small garden and when she approached the poppy flowers the deity knew what she was about to do. She contacted Hypnos, but to what end? He soon found out when she mentioned Ambroisa, something the Greek gods used to strengthen themselves. He had never tried it himself and had no idea what it would do to him, so he waited for Hypnos' response.

Hypnos was quite puzzled by the prayer from Abiageal. He hadn’t really expected those poppies he had given her to be used in such a way. Let alone the subject of her prayer. The image of the god appeared before her, but his eyes were closed and as he spoke it was directly to her mind. “ For what purpose do you seek the food of the gods?” Hypnos tilted his head as if just registering Thor.
“I see... I have no idea what would happen. It would either greatly strengthen or be a powerful poison. More importantly... what price are you willing to pay?”

Emile shrugged slightly as Chase mentioned meetings. "They said they will call if they want me." It was clear he was more than a little annoyed at the prospect of 'being on call' to the Colony's Council while they deliberated. He understood it would take time for them to sort out their affairs (And for Borseti and the violence it fell under, Vitae was doing better by leaps and bounds) he was used to being in charge, in control of things. At the very least his pack - most of them - listened to his commands. "What about you?" He asked then curious. "Do you need to do things here?"

Ashley-May smiked, leaning against Elijah's shoulder after he became distracted with his text; she assumed if it involved her in any way he would inform her. Once his reply was complete she kissed his cheek briefly. "I should get back to work and check on our guest." She murmured, rising from her chair and brushing her hands across her scrub pants. "He's the second person that's arrived here bloody and saying that they're from the Men of Letters." She paused, considering dramatically by taping a single finger against her chin. "Does that make him a Man of Letter then?" She was bemused by the thought. "But like most pig-headed hunters: he refused drugs. I should check on him and make sure he isn't bleeding out. I'm pretty sure they'd revoke their offer if I let him die while flirting with you." She gave the man a quick wink before bouncing along towards the back rooms once more, though she paused at the door. "Oh, you should tell Will what Brendan told you; I'm sure he'll be happy to have someone he can trust helping him out."

Abiagael felt ashamed of the fact she had to consult a Greek God in request of something so powerful. Though, Hypnos had told her she had his blessing, even though he knew she did not worship, let alone, like the presence of any of the Greek gods. "What is the price of which you ask? Perhaps we can make a bargain." She had items, a small collection worth of mythical, valuable items that were of desire by more powerful beings than mere mortals. So she had one or two bargaining chips if it were something materialistic that he was after.
