Tang looked to the cat-girl. "well for one, that book isn't in english. Its Summerian." He said reclaiming his book from her hands. "and I don't know why it's interesting, I just read to pass the time." Hyotei and Daydream both watched the conversation from the sidelines, not quite sure what to make of the girl.
((and yes, they can be. xD ))
((OH MY GUSH DAYDREAM IS SO KUTTTEEEEE)) The female looked over at both of the creatures and went over to pet Daydream. "Who's this?" She tugged on the creature's ears and tail, somewhat harshly. It wouldn't cause any harm to the demon..... Or we wish so.

Jacob let out a soft laugh from behind the tree's leafy branches, "Well that's already something in common," he said, "Glad to find another nature person here. Not a lot of them nowadays, because deforestation and electronics and whatnot." He glanced down, contemplating coming out from his cover, "But the ones who don't come out are definitely missing out." Another soft chuckle emerged from the trees as he slowly started to climb down. His hair, despite being in leaves the whole time, hadn't been messed up, though his garments were a little shifted. He was able to get a more detailed look at the boy now, and he was quite cute, not necessarily handsome, due to his little horn and mottled hair. After looking, or staring, for a second, he said, "My name is Jacob, you?"

Jen calmed down a bit as Emmy asked him why he had chosen to go to the academy. "I guess I just want to be educated. Most centaurs are kinda dumb, not gonna lie. But a good portion of us want to go out and learn." he said as he finished his food. He stood up and held the tray with one hand before flipping Emmy's hair over her face with the other, consider it payback for calling him ponyboy. He then trotted out of the cafeteria to avoid any type of payback from being inflicted onto him. He went back to his dorm room only to find what he assumed to be his roommate standing with a invisible in his hands. Jen pinched the bridge of his nose and muttered, "What the hell are you doing? You look like a moron, I'm sorry but I've never seen someone stand in the middle of their room and pretend to hold a invisible sword."

@Kihara017

After he left the two alone with a sad whine, he eventually found the cafeteria, where people were already seated. Eyes wide, he seemed to run around happily, before he found the food. Burgers, fries, soup, fruit. Not finding what he wanted, he eventually got a plate and went with an assortment of fruits.

Heading to one of the empty tables, he took a seat and began to chow down. There were mostly strawberries and grapes on his plate, but there was also an apple- something to sink his teeth into. He chirped in delight at finally having something in his stomach, even if it wasn't exactly what he wanted.

Daydream gave a look that one would expect to see on a grumpy cat. The demon didn't mind being pet/touched. But it was a different story when someone just randomly started tugging on your ear and tail. Hyotei caught sight of Daydream's look and make a sound one could only guess was laughter. Tang tried to hide his own laughter, but Daydream's look could break even the strictest of people into laughs. "that. would. be. Daydream." He managed between breaths.

(lol,thanks. :) )

Noticing the female hadn't seemed to hear him, Max decided not to bother with it since the boy she did notice at least caused her to get off the pole. Looking around, he thought about the options laid out before him. Go get a meal at the cafeteria, read a book at the library, visit the front office to find out what classes his family had signed him up for, or return to his dorm room and unpack his belongings. Settling on getting something to eat, Max followed the map on his phone, as the tiny golem laid down on his head and stared in awe at what contraption his master was using to navigate the school.

Eventually getting there after some people stopped him asking for directions, Max decided to simply get a bag of potato chips, before choosing to sit at a table where only one male was sitting alone. "Hey there, are you waiting for someone or is everyone else just too hard to approach?" Max joked at the guy, opening the bag rather loudly afterwards. "Name's Max by the way, what's yours?" @Yewitz

He was completely at peace, it seemed, until someone plopped down at the same table he was at and decided to try and start up a conversation. His blue eyes opened up wide and he let out a small squeak, nearly dropping the apple he had started on.

His gaze drifted to the small creature on the other's head, flinching slightly as they loudly opened the bag of chips they had in their hands, then back down. "Uhm.." Was all he mumbled, keeping his gaze fixed on the stranger- Max- but didn't say a word. He held the apple to his mouth, as if it could cover his entire face, and shrunk back slightly.

@Silvey

Slightly grinning as the guy shyly hid behind the apple, Max relaxed before motioning the bag of potato chips towards the male. "You can have some if 'ya want, but it'll be hard to be friends when I don't even know your name." He complained jokingly, while giving a semi-worried look of concern to the stranger. Although not exactly concerned about the stranger in reality, Max always worried about shy kids, since they tended to be a delectable target for bullies. "If you need help getting anywhere, I have a map on my phone. Oh, and someone tries to be mean to you, just tell me. Don't worry about me though, I'm not the kind 'a guy who betrays his friends." He offered, extending his free hand towards the male, Max gave a friendly yet slightly worried smile while re-introducing himself. "Max Masters, nice to meet'cha" @Yewitz

Irona could hear his chuckling as if the male was right beside him. And he wasn't happy with it either. At first he thought tree-man was laughing at him because he had said something stupid of the sorts. And in the short time the man was chuckling Irona ran over everything he said to see if anything was extremely stupid. Nothing seemed to check out, but Irona could never know. However, his thoughts were cut in when the male began to speak again. He looked up and watched as the tree-man began climbing down. He had perfect hair despite crawling around through the trees. Irona's ear flicked as he noticed the male's staring before he asked for the child's name again. "Didn't I tell you earlier?" He inquired, sitting up from the tree. "I am Irona." He stated, eyes rolling over the male curiously.

Jacob shrugged, "You might've," he said, "I don't know. Sometimes things pass over me. Things like names." He walked over to the pond and dipped his hand in it, testing the waters. "Man, I'm going to have to come back here with a book sometime," he said, "Or maybe a swimsuit." He sat down on the edge of the pond, a hand lightly touching the pond's surface, creating a ripple that gently spread across the water. "Do you know how to get back? That would be useful."

Irona watched Jacob's every move. When his hand made contact with the water and sent ripples across the surface Irona's ear twitched again. "I don't exactly know how to get back there, but I could figure it out." Irona said, looking around and taking a few sniffs of the air. From what he could tell, they were downwind which meant he'd be able to sniff out the school. Otherwise, he or Jacob could just climb a tree or something and find it that way. Irona moved down and scrambled over to Jacob, his grey-brown eyes exploring the ground on his way before he stood next to the male. He wasn't standing to far away, but he wasn't super close either. "How long to you intent to stay here for?" Irona asked with a tilt of his head.

Paris was hunched over one of the tables in the cafeteria, wiping it clean. He was looking down, but inspected all the students of various shapes and sizes out of the corner of his vision. All these creatures sure were fascinating. He hoped his job here wouldn't get too repetitive-he'd rather be ran over by a truck than go back to that fast food place he worked at. Having finished with cleaning the table, he pulled up a chair next to it and relaxed, still looking at all the people in the cafeteria. He saw how everyone interacted and put a few mental bets on who'll be playing the most antics. A few of the creatures-and how they acted, made him raise an eyebrow. If things get too noisy in here it's his job to step in, he reminded himself.

Jacob once again shrugged, "Well, until something else makes me go," he said, "like hunger or curiosity. Maybe keep going farther in if I keep track of my steps. It depends. Right now I don't know which one will make me go, but it might be curiosity." He sighed, "Man, who knew that this school had a forest of this size? There's mountains out there too. Maybe I could hike there..." his words faded away in thought. "Where you from?" The question seemed to come out of the blue, but once again Jacob was curious about Irona, and who he was.

Tori sat in a grassy patch by a huge tree that casted a cool shadow over her. She was in her human form, her white hair shining brightly in the sun. She looked around at all the other's around her with a straight face, showing no emotion. If I didn't go to that damn party I wouldn't be here.. I could be back home with my friends having fun. Not here where I know no-one..

Arjean sat outside drawing the scenery quietly. They watched as people moved from one place to another and tried to draw some in the picture. Included was an albino looking girl with white hair and blue eyes sitting in a patch of grass near a tree. Arjean blushed at how similar the two looked in terms of pale skin, white hair, and blue eyes. It seemed the woman didn't show as much emotion as Arjean did, or, well, should. Arjean just wore a fake smile to look polite and friendly, even though they didn't feel like smiling at all.

@Comet

Irona took a good look around for a moment, his eyes wide. He wasn't sure if he felt the same in that sense. Honestly he wanted out of the forest. But now that he was in he didn't think leaving would be an easy task. Going in further though? A small voice inside of Irona's head told him that if he did that, there'd be no turning back. Irona's ear flicked as he spotted a small forest animal just across the pond. It was just a small rabbit, no different from any normal bunny you'd see hopping around. But this one had extremely dark brown fur and almost blended with the dirt beneath it perfectly. Other then it's snowy white paws and fluffy tail, of course. Irona turned his attention back to Jacob as he was asked a question. One he wasn't to fond of either. His eyes narrowed as he looked at the water, remembering his old home. He remembered the small forest that resided on that tiny island, and the tall trees that went with it. An image of the rocky shores flashed in his mind too. That and blood. Lots of blood.

Quickly, Irona shook the thoughts away. "It's a small island that a bunch of spirits live on." He said slowly, taking a moment to look up at a tree before he glared down at the water again. "It had a forest similar to this one, although it was a whole lot smaller. And we had cute little houses there too." Irona had begun tracing out sketches of trees in the dirt with his index finger, clearly thinking about something else as he spoke. "What about you?" The boy then inquired, sitting up.

@Foundry

Tori noticed someone was looking at her and looked over at a figure with wings. She made a face and waved, before standing up and sighing. "Just got here, not in the mood for 'friends' but..." She walked over to the figure. "Hello.." she said, looking at Arjean.

@The Royal Keen

Arjean waved shyly at Tori. "Hello." they said in a meek whisper as they looked u from their drawing. "Sorry if I bothered you; I was just drawing the scenery." they explained as they showed the incomplete drawing with Tori half drawn in it.

@Comet

Jacob watched Irona's sketches in the dirt as he talked about his home. He noticed that there wasn't a lot of compassion in his voice about his home, maybe he didn't like it? From what he heard, it was a nice place. When Irona asked him, he decided to make his answer a little more passionate, "Me? I grew up in a wonderful town in the middle of a mountain valley, sort of like here but with more mountains. We also had cute little houses, but not a lot. In fact, we were one of the only families who actually lived in the "town" year-round. Most owned property there for vacation from the big cities, or they just used the town to get supplies before heading out into their own cabins far away from us. But it was amazing. Hiking everywhere, running around, it was like a dream..." once again, he drifted off into merry thought. "I'm hoping that it's like that here as well."

Tori looked at it with a small smile tugging at her lips. "That's actually a really good drawing. I love it." She replied then looked around at all the others, she saw groups of people talking then sighed. "If you want, I can go back to my place and let you finish your drawing. I wanna see the finished product."

@The Royal Keen

Irona caught on to Jacob's fondness. He smiled. "That sounds nice." He stated, giving a sudden push of energy into his voice to make him sound less dull. "Although, I've never been hiking before. There were never a lot of mountains where I'm from." He said, giving a moment of thought to it. "Is hiking fun?" He then inquired, turning his head to stare at Jacob with wide, curious eyes.

@Foundry

Arjean's smile felt a bit more genuine after the compliment. "Thank you. And it's fine, I have a pretty good memory of things. It's sort of scary how well I can remember something." they said as they went back to drawing. They began to finish the sketch and moved onto line art, and their next step seemed to be painting it since they had a lot of watercolors nearby.

"So, um, did you just join here too? I'm sort of anxious being here without my friend and family." they said, trying to start up a conversation the best way they knew how.

@Comet

Tori nodded. "I was made to come here actually." She replied, sitting down beside Arjean and leaning back comfortably. "Met anyone else or am I the first person you met?" She asks.

@The Royal Keen

He still kept silent as Max spoke, though he soon took the fruit away from his face and listened with a bit more interest then before. He hesitated when he extended a hand to him, before moving to shake it. "Egill Eriksen," He replied with a small, timid smile. "And, trust me, I'm capable of defending myself." The selkie was quite confused as to why this boy was speaking to him, but shook it off. He shook his head at his offer. "But," He started again, "If it's bad, then sure, I guess I'll tell you." He shrugged, before taking a large bite of the apple. "Thank you."
