Well to be clear, lots of war crimes happen in FE but like she is really bad and I personally did not like her character writing at all which was sad because her design is so good but she was so oof. Like I will never understand how Byleth would even side with herDhsjfjdj tbh I know very very very little about three houses’ characters but what few things I’ve heard about Edelgard don’t exactly shine the brightest light on her
Like Edelgard basically let’s her goons kill Byleth’s father??? I dunno how Byleth just puts that aside and is like “yeah I’m chill with helping you commit war crimes against the church”

Honestly, she's so pretty but sucks to a monumental degree. Like who tf would want to even be around someone who killed your parents? She could have been written so much better. If she's a House Leader, she doesn't have to be the nicest person ever, but don't be responsible for murder and warcrimes smh

Look I’ve played Persona 5 like 8 times through and I do not understand why people think it’s remotely okay. Not only does he try to murder Joker at least twice, but he killed a parent of two of Joker’s friends… So you’re telling me Joker would also be like “lol fuck you guys” to his own friends? I remember I once said something a long time ago on a Wattpad fanfiction (yeah I'm cringe), against a Ganondorf x Link story because I said that Ganon is bent on destroying Link so why would they suddenly just throw their hatred against each other away? Like realistically love doesn't work like that but I got hella backlash for it anyway...

I wish there was more focus on true friendships in media, but people will ship anything even then.
I don't ship Pit with anyone in Kid Icarus, as I do not think any pairing there would be a particularly stable and healthy one for him. I like Toon Link and Tetra, and I have a headcanon that T'ink becomes the first king of New Hyrule, but I've no intention of doing anything romantic with T'ink in the RP as he is still a child.

I remember Twilight Link x Wild Link was popular (regretfully) ;-; It was because of the Wolf Link thingy in BotW.
I think that the enemies to lovers trope is good ONLY if the hatred is more innocent, like if the two people are rivals or are "supposed" to hate each other because of other forces saying so. But if there is a legit terrible reason behind their tension and stuff, then it's just icky asf.

Like yes the player, if they didn't fuck up the interrogation and got on the path towards the true ending, finds out that was a cognitive version of Joker that is killed cuz the PTs set him up hard and used Joker as bait, but like you can't tell me when Akechi acts like this, fake Joker or not, that there's love of any kind
But man I should stop cuz I could write a whole 10 page essay on this LOL
See I'm like a weird place cuz I love me some good friendships, but I'm also like a huge sucker for close friend to lovers. Guess I'm part of the problem LOL
And you know not shipping is perfectly fine. Tbf in XC2 I never shipped Mythra strongly with anyone and felt she was fine as an independent character. Then XC3 threw that out the window for me and went canon harem Rex and yep. Like with her and Pyra becoming their own people at the end I figured Pyra would be the one, but Monolith made sure Rex's words of "I love all you guys" was the realest statement spoken. But like rp wise, I probably won't pursue any ships unless for gag/silly purposes (and well Joker-Ann lil bits of stuff but that's between me, myself and I)

I've seen folks try to justify a lot of stuff in regards to Pit by bringing up Ancient Greece, and y'all, a LOT of that stuff is very heavily exaggerated or outright myth. Pedastry was not a widely-practiced, happily-accepted thing in Ancient Greece; it was mostly associated with corrupt politicians and other elites. But that's getting into a nasty topic unsuitable for this thread, so I'll leave it at that.
If Pit were to get a love interest, I think it'd be cute if inspiration was taken from the Eros and Psyche myth.
I've never played any of the Xenoblade games so I don't have a stake in this, but I will say I do respect Monolith for having the gonads to do that, even if it did make me raise an eyebrow lol
I do love Pithra as a joke-ship though! It definitely makes more sense than a lot of Super Smash Brother ships! XD

Lol you're fine! I was just thinking about some past cartoons where they started out good, then tried to force a romance in, which ends up ruining the show overall. I don't mind romances when they're well-written and the characters have real chemistry.
