Fantasy "Super" Powers

Barefooted Ash noticed somewhere that looked warm, and realised it was a pub. Swallowing, knowing she didn't have any i.d on her, she summoned her courage and entered. Besides, she didn't want to drink, just curl up in a warm corner for a while, to warm up her cold toes. So, walking in, she glanced around warily, hoping no one noticed her lack of footwear, or her weak appearance, and scuttled to a booth in the corner, where she curled into a ball and tucked her cold feet close, watching the other people warily

Echo looked up as the girl offered her a drink, "Uh, no thank you. I'll just have a water." She figured if she didn't use the hand the fire came out of, she would be able to touch the water bottle.

Cynthia was dead tired. She probably should have gone back to her apartment last night, but she'd gotten caught up at the library and had lost track of time. Scrubbing the heel of her hand against the corner of her eye, she tried futilely to chase away the need to sleep, both grateful to and cursing the fact that the local library was open at all hours. Blearily noticing that one place already seemed to be open, even so early in the morning, she tucked her periwinkle hair behind an ear, fixed her bandana, and fished her ID out of her pocket.

It was a bar, but that hardly mattered, it was open and she was too young to drink anyway. Completely ignoring the other patrons, Cynthia sat down at the bar and promptly passed out.

Elizabeth tried not to stare at the weird girl without shoes and the other girl who had just passed out and turned around to get a glass. She was about to open the freezer to get a bottle of water but then remembered it was not working and the water was probably really hot, no one had really cared before since everyone came for the alcohol and no one wanted water but she made a mental note to fix it afterwards. She looked around to make sure no one was looking at her and pointed a finger at the glass and smiled as it began filling with fresh water. So there one good thing about this stupid power after all. She thought to herself as she gave the girl the water.

Alex when to do some shopping in a liquor store before arriving to the bar entering through the bacl door. He relieved the bartender, replacing the drinks missing at the counter. He had worked shifts in the bar for a few months and this was the second time he borrowed drinks from the counter, it wasnt the healthiest or cost effective way of getting drunk but the past couple of days were a low ones for him. "Hey, Eli."He said noting Elizabeth."Sorry I am late."

After hours of wandering around, Greg felt a great thirst in his parched throat. Not a lot of places seemed open at time, so the bar that rested directly to his right would have to do. Entering its inside caused Greg's nostrils to be assaulted by the tavern's stench, something that was a mix of liquor, cigarette smoke, and loathing. He took care in making sure his "condition" was under control as he strolled up to the bar counter, hands hidden within the pockets of his jeans.

Taking a seat on the stool, he signaled the bartender with a weak wave of the hand. "Glass of water, please. No ice", Greg said in a sullen and somewhat dejected tone. He rested his arms on the polished wooden bar counter and stared down at the fabric of his checkered flannel jacket while waiting for his drink.

Elizabeth smiled when Alex replaced the drinks on the counter and though about taking some bottles home when her shift ended but she didn't want to return any alcohol so she got rid of the thought quickly. "It's fine, I was late anyways but thank you for coming. Who would've thought that we would start getting new costumers the day no one decides to show up for work?"

Gazing around, especially at people who entered, and anyone who talked, Ash felt lonely, but somewhat safe. No one was taking any notice of her, except a few glances, which meant no one would bother her, which meant no one would upset her, and meant that her wolf form wouldn't attack anyone. She allowed herself to relax, shivering slightly as she tried to warm up, her thin clothes doing nothing for her.

"Right away mate."Alex said to the new customer, serving him the water he asked. It was strange to him serving water in a bar, thinking what was the point of coming to a bar if it's just water. He turned to speak to Elizabeth." Who would have thought to this du.... bar would get new customers period. Well why should we complain, more money for us. " He said before chuckling."had a good night?"

Leo wasn't sure where he was, the town was new to him. He wasn't running away so much as not going back home, the last round with his father had worn him out. So a new place to call...not home he wasn't sure what to call it. Seeing a girl enter what looked like a bar gave him pause, nothing else was open on the street and he wasn't going to find the seedy hotel on his own obviously. So maybe a drink, some directions, and meet the locals. Sounded like a good idea! Though as he crossed the street he felt that familiar lift in his stomach, panic grabbed him as he rushed for the door and charged in without reservation slamming the door behind him and holding onto the wall.

He was inside, he couldn't go to far this time. At least he hoped, however looking around the bar another fear flooded him. People.

Oh please for once listen and stay grounded.

Emma started to cringe a bit. She didn't like the fact that there were so many people here. She came here to get away from people!

Whatever, She thought, it's not the end of the world.

Her eyes moved over to the people sitting at the other seats, they all looked too young to drink, but who was she to say anything about it?

Even exhausted, Cynthia rolled in her sleep, it was a simple fact about her, and normally didn't matter much considering how much she kept to herself, not to mention she was usual in her bed, not passed out at the bar of a hub. Had she been better rested, she probably would have realized it was not a good idea to sit next to someone, or perhaps even to sit at all, if she was going to fall asleep, but seeing as how she wouldn't even be there at the moment if she had been thinking clearly, it was only inevitable she ended up sprawled on the floor taking the guy next to her with her (@Upbeatdown). She woke with a start, panicking even as direct physical contact allowed the electricity constantly flowing over her skin to pass into living body under her.

Ash jumped slightly as someone hit the floor, and looked over, eyes wide. She curled back into the corner, confused and concerned, but didn't move to see what was happening, afraid that someone would get hurt by her. Instead, she watched them, curious as to what was happening. Her wolf senses were usually awake in her human form, and she could practically feel the electricity in the air, which made her frown, and growl slightly

"Well at least the regular costumers are not here, I really need a break from them and their love for alcohol and singing horrible songs but you're right at least we get money" Elizabeth replied and jumped over the counter when a guy with a panicked expression entered and slammed the door. She didn't really care about the well being of the costumers but she wanted to make sure he was not going to cause any trouble. She walked towards the guy and crossed her arms. "Are you O.K?" Elizabeth asked trying to sound interested. She turned her head when she saw two costumers falling but she couldn't help three people at once but she would try to help if she had time after helping the guy.

Emma saw the girl hit the floor but didn't give any reaction. On the inside she was concerned and wanted to help, but she didn't want to get involved with people. She was stuck, debating what to do in her head.

Leo was pulled out of his mild freak out by a pretty blonde girl. A smile spread on his face as he let go of the wall, grounded was well in place for him. A pretty face could do that to him.

"Yeah, just fine." he held his hand out to her, lame move he knew shaking hands with a girl but it seemed right. "Names Leo, would love to know yours." his smile wasn't leaving his face any time soon. Not even when the girl on the bar fell from her seat. "Looks like you serve some strong stuff here." he joked eyes scanning the room taking it in. They all looked to young to be in this place but he could hardly bring that up only a few more month to go before he himself was 21.

Greg hadn't noticed the girl collapsing until it was far too late. He toppled over, drink of water in hand, before crashing to the floor. The glass of water managed to spill over his hand before crashing to the ground and shattering. Already he could feel the once loose liquid begin to harden around his cold and exposed flesh. But then a new feeling it him, and hard. The sudden shock of electricity sent a jolt through him. Greg felt as if his nerves were fire. Ironically, part of himself was thankful for the experience. It was, after all, the warmest he had felt in quite a long time.

Frantically, he pushed the girl off of himself. He feared prolonged contact with his chilling body would cause harm to her. He stood up, awkwardly taking a look around at all the onlooking patrons. Whatever sadness he felt before was now overtaken by a sense of complete foolishness. Hesitantly, he held out his right hand to girl, offering her assistance in standing back up. Greg wasn't sure if he should say something. "Be careful where you sleep...", he said awkwardly, avoiding eye contact with the girl. He did his best to suppress his condition, but he still feared that the girl might feel the otherworldly coldness radiating from his body.

Cynthia hesitated in taking his hand, not wanting shock him again, but looking up at him, somehow, he was clearly okay, or at least not too badly hurt. Shakily, she allowed him to pull her up, mumbling a quick and quiet "sorry" before awkwardly clearing her throat. She took a seat back at the bar asking almost inaudibly for a glass of water from the guy behind the counter. It took her a moment after sitting there to realize his hand had been a lot colder than any human's had a right to be, but considering she herself had something not quite natural about her, she brushed it off and pretended not to notice.

Ash watched the girl warily, the low growl still in her throat, until she seemed to realise what she was doing, and stopped. Awkwardly she curled up into a ball, looking at the glasses of drink around, wishing she had money on her to buy something. Or at least the confidence to ask for a cup of water from the tap. She rubbed her bare feet, finding a few cuts on the bottom

She decided to sit there and ingnore it. There was no point in drawing attention to herself. Besides...she was probably to weak to be any kind of hero.

She took out her earbuds that were attached to her iPod and blasted Hollywood Undead songs in her ears while gulping her beer.

I'm so fucking dumb...I should have helped...

She looked over to the girl that was curled into a ball. "Uh....you okay, girl?" @WolfOfProphecys

Elizabeth smiled at Leo and shook his hand politely, something new for her since she had never really cared about being polite or not but she could make an exception for a few seconds. "Nice to meet you, I'm Elizabeth" She replied and groaned when she saw the broken glass. Something she would have to clean up in a few minutes. "Yeah we have great drinks" Liar, but that's your job right? She thought to herself. "Do you want something to drink?"

Ash full on jumped when she was spoken to, by another girl who was gulping down a beer. Silently she nodded, and managed to let out a quiet, "Y-Yes miss" before she silenced again, studying her scratched feet and sighing. She needed to find some sort of foot protection, but it wasn't on her priorities at the moment. Before that she needed somewhere safe, warm, and somewhere she could be alone if her wolf got out of control

Echo was too distracted by her own thoughts to motice the girl fall. She was staring at her hand, confused. How had fire just burst out of it like that? She was concentrating so hard on her hand that it lit fire for a few seconds, she quickly closed it and looked around, luckily no one noticed, she thought, they are all distracted by the girl.

Emma shrugged. Well that was enough talking for today...at least if someone didn't talk to her first. Then again why would they, anyone with eyes could see that she wanted to be alone!

Ash nodded, glad that the other hadn't responded. Her tongue darted out over her dried lips, swallowing hard. Her fingers twitched as she held back the urge to shift into her stronger form, into the form that could keep her safe. But, seeing as it was also the form that could kill people, she refrained from allowing it out, and instead allowed herself to yawn, curling up tighter
