August Shaw was born to a coal miner and a grade school teacher, Stanley and Martha. His father spent many hours during his infancy slaving away for any resemblance of a paycheck to feed his family, taking extra time to do so after his wife gave birth. While neither his mother or his father were not really anything other than average, their combined DNA resulted in a child who somehow got the best traits from both people. With the debt collecting rapidly and having quit her job to stay at home with her toddler, Martha came across an ad on the internet for a diapers commercial. It was a shot in the dark but worth the try, so the woman took August to his first audition. When he won the part, Stanley was skeptical and continued working long hours. However, the commercial was shot and the Shaw family's decades worth of debt was eliminated thirty minutes after the check came in. From there, more modeling work would continue to come in. At the age of seven, August landed the role that would propel him into stardom. He was the child star of a sitcom comedy by a popular comedian which found success for multiple seasons. Each year August was able to demand more money, to the point where his father no longer had a need to work. While August struggled dealing with the limelight and fame in his youth, his parents were overjoyed and supportive of his decisions - their biggest problem most likely being attributed to the fact that they spent less time parenting and more time acting like his friends.

Seven years later, the show wrapped up. August decided to take some time off to go to a regular high school, forgoing his homeschooling in hopes to make more friends around his home. He always knew how to act underneath a camera, and parading around in his charade was no different when it came to the eye of the public. His peers all flocked around him. Some people took advantage of him at every turn they could. Others were genuinely supportive. One year turned into two, and the former child star developed a drinking habit. August's normal 'teen' life came to a screeching halt when he got intoxicated at a party at sixteen and got into a car accident resulting in a young adult's life. While his parents scrambled to take care of everything and eventually was able to get August off with minor legal penalties, the guilt continued to exist with him. Heartbroken, August was checked into a rehab facility. It was a lot of money but a year later he was out and back at work. He scored his first gig back modeling for underwear packaging and slowly made his way back up. August found success in the industry once more with a decade of movies to show for it. Never forgetting the woman who lost her life as a result of his actions, August was sure to donate a lot of his money to charities and the needy. When he had the opportunity to leave Earth, August decided to send his parents in his place, opting to be a positive force for those who were left to roam the planet as opposed to saving himself

Liliah Varen
The Medic That Makes Meredith Scream

Insert Stat Sheet Here

Life oftentimes goes awry, for Liliah, it never had, not even once. Her family was wealthy, and she had made the trip to Mars at a young age, she was a genius prodigy, the light of her family, and the daughter of a major technological developer who created cybernetic enhancement implants. She was a poster girl for the medical school she went to, literally, a genius poster child, by the time she was 16, she was a lead surgeon at the largest, highest class medical bay on Mars Primary. She was set in place to become the next Head of Surgery in the Medical Council of Mars. Everything was going her way, she had spent her entire life working towards the culmination of her career. At the peak of everything, right as she had nearly reached the final plateau, Liliah’s entire life seemed to fall from a cliff.

At twenty-four years old, Lilliah was put into a surgery theater with a patient, routine for her, but the patient is riddled with projectiles injuries, his face and neck covered in lacerations, the damage to him so horrible no one could possibly survive it. Liliah began her work diligently, plugging into the medical equipment in the room, her harmonic resonator implants supercharged by the plug, her ocular implants giving her full vitals information and control over the robotic arms hanging from the ceiling, all her family's companies equipment, she began instantly working towards mending the man’s injuries, as she worked, the lacerations on his face had laid bare his right eye, and as it recovered from the damage, it was clear he was conscious, and unfortunately for Liliah, he had cybernetic augments in his own systems, as such, he was able to implant a virus into Liliah through the uplink she had stuck into the back of her neck.

The surgery was a success, the patient survived, and as soon as he recovered enough, he was placed in Martian Security Forces custody. The story about him should end here, but it doesn’t. He was a notorious hacker, one that could transmit control viruses directly into another person’s synthetic parts and utilize them to his own aims, and for someone with as deep of implants as Liliah, those which tapped into her conscious and subconscious to allow her to manipulate her cybernetic augments, it meant he could take full control over her.

That control let him use her body to infiltrate one of the most prominent gala events on Mars, and once she was there, he murdered not just one, but ten of the highest ranking civil authorities in the entire human governments. As she finished the final target, his control was gone, and Liliah was left standing in horror at the atrocities she had just committed. Not only had she just murdered ten people, but worst of all for her, she had been forced to break her oaths as a doctor, to do no harm.

The trial for Liliah was a mess, her lawyer was paid off, the judge was on the take, and the opposition barely had to try, her medical career was over, and she was a convicted murderer. The judge, in an odd sense of humor, overrode the initial trial decision to imprison her for ten life sentences, and instead, he banished her, to Earth, for the rest of her natural life, with a restraining bolt on her implants, so that she while she would be able to practice remedial medicine at best, she would never be able to use her implants again, thus limiting her to the crude medical practices of using whatever instruments she could attain.
And so, the prodigal Doctor, Liliah Varen, was banished to Earth, to suffer as she never had before.

As her family stood before her, watching her be banished, she hung her head in shame, unable to look them in the eye, as it would appear to all around her, but as she raised her eyes, as she was loaded into the ship that was to take her to the doomed world of her birth, hatred and anger burned behind her now hampered synthetic eyes. She raised her hands towards her mother and father, the harmonic resonators on her fingertips shimmering with electrical energy before the restraining bolt kicked in, electrocuting her. The determination in her gaze could not falter, was unable to, as her resolve steeled her against the pain, and she gazed to father as her mother turned away in sorrow, she shouted to him of her innocence, and that she would redeem herself.

By some stroke of luck, or coincidence, her father had always kept an eye on her, always been backing her, and even through her court case, as all the money he could throw at the lawyers to keep his child safe had failed, he had found one final thing he could do to lessen the burden upon her. Her father reached inside his coat pocket, and nodded at her knowingly, in his pocket he depressed a switch on a small keypad, and a pulse emanated from the device, sending a signal to her implants to reset them, and to save everything stored over the last few months within them in a deep save file, along with a message for Liliah, one she would watch a thousand times as she was en-route to Earth, the message was heartfelt, both of her parents spoke to her, both of them apologizing for their failure to protect her, and finally, her father left her with a series of numbers, a code phrase, a series of ciphers that she couldn’t understand.

“I hope… that someday… you’ll forgive me for the sins I have committed against you...” was the final words in the file, and the message closed. The message included a data packet that rewrote the code within Liliah’s implants, that would not only enhance them past what the restraining bolt could contain fully, but it would also allow her deeper technological integration as well. Liliah had little idea what had changed within her implants, only that for some reason, they still worked with effort, and that the restraining bolt’s electrocution no longer took effect unless she used her harmonic resonators at their maximum setting.

Ten years Later, Liliah had finally found a small corner of the globe to try to find solace in what had happened, her life had been dissolved and everything she knew was gone, her parents were unable to contact her and every contact she had was gone, so she did the only thing she could, she found a small medical office and began practicing again, as being a healer was the only thing she knew well. She became well known as a woman with healing hands, and was embraced by her community, from the dark underworld, to the higher-class, at least as high class it could get on Earth.

Serafina D'Angelo/Amanda Price
A.K.A. The Hammer

Backstory:
"You're in for the long haul..."

Serafina, more commonly known in current standings as Amanda or "The Hammer" is a professional MMA fighter, and a very popular name for the past four years, to at least those who want the sport. Her life growing up wasn't spectacular by any means, she grew in a "nicer" part of the city, her parents managed to pay rent and feed the kids, her and her twin sister Marcella had just about anything they wanted, their father and mother both worked for one of the larger cybernetic companies, although their was a dark secret hidden behind the nice families doors. Her father was an alcoholic, and typically a very angry one at that. Taking it out on his kids for not being as perfect as they should, for not taking interest in the family business(like that existed anymore), then the next day regretting it all, knowing he did wrong but doing nothing to change his ways. This would go on for years, progressively getting worse and worse, simply to the point where the two twins had to wear long clothing to hide their bruises and scars.

And one day, when she was 15, enough was enough. Serafina and her sister, after a lot of convincing, left. Left to Renton, a place that, despite being worse off, and having to spend their first few months sleeping in the Pit, would be more homelike than their housing before.

"It's funny how things change. One minute, you are another face in the crowd, then, bam, the next you are the talk of the Town."

The twins had a rough first few months, running what ever job they could find to scrape enough cash together to get a proper home for rent, a fight they found surprisingly hard. After finally managing their own place, a realization of just how bad everyone had it dawned on them, and they had a new appreciation for having each other. Serafina one day caught wind of the fights people held every so often, and attended, and to her both dismay and amazement, she loved it. Every second had her adrenaline going, and she wasn't even fighting. And so the next day she trained. Over the next month and a half she would work herself to the point where sleep was just an empty spanse of black for her, too tired to dream. It took time, but when she got her first fight, nobody had heard of the lightweight 5'6 Italian woman who strode into the ring. But everyone who her name after her first fight. The bell sounded, and she delivered one punch, which would become her signature. A left hook came out on her unprepared opponent, and her got knocked flat out. She won big, being the underdog of that fight, and came out a very happy girl. She was only 19 at the time, very young for someone of her caliber.

"Funny thing about me? I'm probably the only person who could say being an Alcoholic saved their life."

The years would go by, and Serafina made a big name for herself, the underdog story of a lifetime, the young blood off the streets of Renton, with nothing but her wits and skill to carry her to the top. But even someone like her had enemies. Someone didn't like her progression, whether it be her parents, some underground criminal organization, or the megacorps, someone wanted her dead. And they accomplished their goal, to an extent of the word. In a fatal drive-by shooting that killed three others and injured eight more, her sister died with several gunshot wounds across her body, dying just minutes later in her sister's arms. This event was enough to bring her into a slump, turning to alcohol in an attempt to forget the past and all it had brought onto her. Months pass and the champion fighter they all cared for, seemingly dropped off the face of the Earth. She barely got fights for anything, and she fell out of the circle of interest.

She was only 23 when they tried to kill her a second time. Catching her on a walk home, too drunk to fight, too depressed to care, she goaded her killer into shooting her, a round aimed straight to her chest, powerful enough to knock on flat in one round. Seeing his work done, the assassin left her to bleed out on the side of the road. Only she wasn't dead. By luck, divine intervention, or fate, the round deflected off her flask she kept in her inside jacket pocket, tearing a good chunk from her arm, but also meaning she would yet again survive an assassination attempt from her unknown enemies.

"And thus, here we are in this lovely bar, filled with less than lovely people, on this piece of shit rock we call home."

After the second attempt on her life, Serafina laid low. She let herself rehabilitate, grow stronger. She paid more attention to what went on around her. She changed her name, and identity almost entirely. And at the age of 28, after five years of silence. A new Challenger stepped into the ring, with a similar fighting style to the champion of years past, and no other name besides "The Hammer." She no longer fought to pay rent, she'd fight to avenge her sister, and find the bastard who orchestrated this all.

599792Aeron Hutchinson has gone by many names in her twenty-eight years of life, none of which she cares to repeat. Early childhood was hard for her, as the girl never stayed in one place long, but she built the same reputation everywhere she went. Being a child in foster care wasn't that abnormal. She rarely spent more than a few months with the same family. Considered a 'problem child,' people gave her a wide berth wherever she went. There was something in her steely grey eyes that told people to leave her alone.

This inevitably became handy in her line of work. Strapped for cash in a decaying world, Aeron has tried her hand a variety of criminal activities. Sought out for her nimble body and charismatic smile, the woman was never had a hard time finding people willing to employ her. She built a name for herself, although no one is quite sure which pseudonym she built it under. The woman is good at disappearing into the crowd, and each time the bounty on her head grew she would change locations, appearance, and even her name.

The Citadel has almost felt like home to Aeron. In a world where crime was plentiful and easy to get away with, she had more than enough to do. Eventually she learned it was far more lucrative to let the thrill seekers do the heavy lifting and sit back and watch it unfold. Aeron now spends her time as an information broker, but she may put her skill set back out into the field for the right price or the right job.

Born in 2092 to Michael and Emily Schmidt; the early life of Jeremy Schmidt could be considered as normal as it could get on this dying world. Although his family was not rich enough to emigrate to Mars, due to his father´s job as a reporter they were barely able to live on one of the ¨nicer¨ parts town.

But then something happened that changed his life forever. The day began as any other ¨normal¨ day would, while Jeremy and his mother were eating breakfast, his father left for work. He should have returned at Eight O´Clock as usual, yet he didn´t. The very next thing they knew from his father was that he was now interned in a hospital with an arrow to the knee; His dad told them that while on his way home, he got in the middle of a gang fight by accident, but before he could escape a crazy red-haired hobo with a bow shot him.

The bills for his father´s recovery were exaggerated, yet they still spent till their very last penny on it. After his recovery tho, things got even worse. Not only was he fired from his job, but the attacked left Michael with chronic pain on his knee and was unable to get another job.

Due to the condition, the gang battle left his father in the young boy swore revenge against his attacker, and that no matter the cost, he would put behind bars every single one of those fuckers. 12 years have passed since that day, and 8 since Jeremy became a detective… and he still has no fucking clue about the location of the hobo that attacked his dad.
