[Sulfurix and Gilmore] Ranch loss

Harrison crawled into the bed and fell asleep after he threw the blanket over himself. His body slumped against the bed as his breathing slowed and steadied in his chest.

At the knocking, he stirred awake, turning to look over to the door before pushing the blanket off. Harrison shook his head, getting up and wandering over to the door. A yawn opened his mouth as he pulled the door open to see Vixi. "Everything alright?" He asked, blinking the sleep from his eyes, his voice a bit rougher than normal from still being half asleep. He pressed his shoulder against the door frame, holding it open with one hand.

Vixi shook her head."I don't want to be alone tonight, I can't sleep and I am freaked out."She says. She looked at him with big eye's. She had her arms crossed over her chest. She was shivering and cold. She looked at him. She didn't trust herself to be alone. And yeah she couldn't admit it, but Vixi was scared. She yawned covered her mouth. She didn't care he sounded gruff, she figured he was just tired.

A small frown edged onto his face to her words. Poor girl... "You can come in here, if you want," he offered, letting his hand push the door all the way open. She looked cold, and he'd give her his blanket if she needed it. He didn't want her to freeze.

Vixi walked in.She walked over to his bed.She layed down on the edge of it and curled up. She left basically the whole bed fir him."thank you again. "Vixi says. She looked over at him.

Irish Ice Queen

Harrison watched her walk in, lifting a hand to push it over his face before bumping the door mostly shut. He walked over to the bed, leaning over and taking an extra pillow off. "You can take the bed," he said, offering a smile to her before dropping the pillow onto the floor by the bed. He didn't want to make her uncomfortable, so he decided to take his spot on the floor tonight. Harrison got down and laid on his back, head propped against the pillow.

Vixi shook her head."no, I don't take up much room and wouldn't mind the extra warmth and besides I can sleep on top of the covers." Vixi looked down at him.Vixi sighed and put a blanket over her shoulder. She sighed. "I am so sorry for everything. "She mumbles.

Irish Ice Queen

He puffed out his cheeks for a moment before sitting up, grabbing his pillow and looking up to her and frowning. "Don't apologize, please. It's not your fault, none of it was," he said, pushing himself up off the floor. Being half asleep, he didn't care he only had his boxers on. He walked to the side of the bed she wasn't on, dropping the pillow and sliding back into the bed. He lifted his arms and put his hands behind his head, staring at the ceiling. "Sorry you had to see me do that," he wasn't able to stop the words before they flew out of his mouth. "I just...snapped," he said. He wasnt sorry he beat that guy down, just that she had to see him do it. His eyes locked onto the ceiling that he could hardly see, a long breath leaving his lungs. Ever since his father started up his...abuse, Harrison got this pent up anger towards the man that'd come out against any man that dared to hurt a woman. He shut his eyes tightly for a moment before reopening them.

Vixi noda and sighed. She listened to him and smiles. "Well it happens. "Thanks she mumbles tiredly. Vixi fell asleep in moments. In her sleep she rolled over and curled into him her head wound up on his chest. She had a small smile on her lips as she slept. Vixi slept even more peacefully next to him, then she had in nights. Vixi had no dreams and moved closer to him for warmth.

Irish Ice Queen

He shut his eyes after a while, still awake when he felt the weight of her head shift onto his chest and her curled into his side. Not having the heart to move her, even though he assumed he should, Harrison just shut his eyes again and soon drifted off himself. While he slept, he let his one arm slip from behind his head to hook around her as she slept, mind going blank.

(Time skip?~)

( sure doll)

Five o'clock rolled around, vixi woke with a sigh. She slowly opened her eye's and looked at where head was. She was draped over him. Vixi gave a slight noise of suprise. She felt his arm wrapped around her and it felt comforting. She groaned and burried her face back into his chest. After a bit, Vixi moved and gently woke him."Hey, we got to get going to work."vixi says waking him gently. Vixi sighed and sat up."meet you downstairs. "She said. She slipped out his bed and went to shower and change. She went downstairs after she was dressed, she poured him a cup of coffee and then for herself. Vixi drank her coffee slowly and sighed. She was still trying to wake up and was sore as all hell. She was warming up a bottle and her father's breakfast as she waited on Harrison.

He may or may not have forgot to set his alarm, with all that had happened last night, so he stayed asleep even to the stirring against his bare chest. He only shifted when he heard her words, a soft noise of complaint filtering out of his nose before lifting his arms up to his face as she sat up, rubbing his eyes. "Alright," he answered as she slid out of his bed, pushing himself up to throw his legs out of the bed. Propping himself up on his knees with his elbows before getting all the way up. He pulled out a clean pair of jeans with an old football tee shirt, tossing them onto the bed before he too took a quick shower. Changing, he set a brush through his hair hardly, the stands still sticking up in a bunch of places when he shook the water out like a dog. Grabbing his boots, he slipped them on, jumping to the sound of his phone ringing. He pulled it off the charger, answering. "Yeah?" He asked, grabbing his hat and heading out the door. "Harry, I have to ask you something..." Lindsey said, doing that guilty lip smack. Harrison furrowed his brows as he walked down the stairs. "What is it?" He asked, leaning down to fix his boot at the door of the kitchen. "Uhh, how do you get a hot glue gun out of your hair?" She squeaked. "How did you manage /that/, Lindsey?" He asked, eyes widening. "Well. I had a last minute project, and I fell asleep. And my hair was on the gun!" She whined. "Cut it out," Harrison said, unable to help the small laugh. "Harry! I'll look like an idiot!" The girl complained. "Sleeping on a hot glue gun already made you an idiot," he snickered, leaning against the door frame for a second.

Vixi went and fed her father. Vixi walked back down and grabbed another cup of coffee. She gave Harrison a look as he was on the phone. She handed him a cup and pointed to the outside. She went out and filled up the truck with hey and went to drop bales. She drove back and parked.vixi sighed and put her head on the wheel. She felt so stupid. She hopes he wasn't nad at her. She would wait on him, before she started. She was late today, but with last night and everything. She still wasn't really okay, but okay enough to work.

Irish Ice Queen

He pushed his hand through his hair as Lindsey talked his ear off, smiling to her as she handed him the coffee. Harrison drank the coffee, listening to her babble his ear off with nonsense. "I should get going, you get ready for school. And cut it out of your hair," he stated, finishing the coffee. "Fiiiiiine, pushy," she rolled her eyes and hung up. Harrison hurried and washed the coffee cup, along with anything else that needed to be washed, and then went outside. He dried his hands off on his pants as he walked to the truck. "What's on the schedule for today?" He questioned, tilting his head.

Vixi jumped as he came up."oh for Jesus sake."She said and sighed. " hop in first we feed and water, then we turn out, then we muck, and take care of little things, then feed again."Vixi says. She sighed and looked at him."sorry about last night. I didn't mean to roll on you or anything."Vixi said. She felt bad. She really didn't want to make him feel uncomfortable. "How is your family? "She asked him figuring thats who he was on the phone with.

Irish Ice Queen

"Sorry, didn't mean to startle you," he said, sliding his hands into his pockets as he went and hopped in. He made a mental list of all they were to do, nodding slightly before looking over to her apology. "Nah, it's fine. Really," he let a ghost of a smile fade onto his face.

"My sister--Lindsey--managed to get a hot glue gun stuck in her hair." His small smile grew into one of complete amusement. "She has to cut it out."

"Dont worry about it."Vixi said. She smiles at him. She blushed and looked away. She turned the truck on and started driving to the piles of haunted.she laughed at the glue thing." That sucks for her."she says. Vixi parked and got out she started taking some and tossed it into the pens. She told him how much she showed him the size and weight of the stack of Hay."Thair gets nore since he is a draft horse."Vixi explains to him.Vixi kept grabbing hay and tossing it over.Vixi sighed when they finished. She went to turn the horses out she explained as she went. She made clicking noise and used a whip like stick to get them to the pen."easy and don't worry about this doesn't harm them."Vixi said.

Irish Ice Queen

He nodded, "especially since she has school." He slid out of the truck with her, going to help with getting the hay into the stalls. He noted how much each horse got, mimicking after what She did in order to learn faster, so she'd only have to show him once. Harrison lifted a hand to push a few strands of his hair under his hat, "doesn't seem too hard." He nodded. Then again he was used to being worked like a dog from football, and he had paid her close attention so he'd catch everything.

She taught him everything and they worked through till around noon."come on let's get lunch. Don't wanna work you to death." Vixi jokes and smiles. She grabbed her keys and went to the truck. She wwnr to turn it on and grumbled as it didn't start it wasn't turning over and started smoking. She took the keys out and walked to the good. She popped it up and smoke came out. She waves at it coughing. "Piece of Junk. "She said kicking the truck and slammed the hood down."will take the horses back, I guess."Vixi says

Irish Ice Queen

Harrison did as he was told when he was told, pushing his hand through his hair when they stopped. He gave a breathy chuckle to her words, following her back to the tru k to get in. He frowned when it didn't start up, hopping up as well when she popped the hood. "I can check it out later," he offered her. He had to fix their cars since they couldn't afford someone to do it for them, so he'd know what to do.

Vixi shrugged" I will fix it later. I am just tired of it acting up."vixi says she grabbed Thair and zoey. She hopped up and kicked Thair into running walk for the house. Vixi tied Thair up and went into make lunch. She brought it out in a basket. "I was thinking of maybe a picnic on dead horse hill."vixi says."I'll explain the story behind the hill, but it is pretty this time of year. "Vixi said when Harrison road up on zoey.

He nodded, "it does get irritating after a while." He agreed. He took Zoey's reins from her, patting the mare's snout. He let her ride off before he couldn't see her, tying the mare's up to a fence for a moment before going to the truck. He didn't want her to have to fix the truck, not after everything else and all she already had on her plate. He slipped into the barn and grabbed a tool box he had seen earlier before going out and popping the hood again. Harrison set to work as fast as he could to find the problem and fix it, getting grease all on his hands. Hearing Zoey snort impatiently, he looked over, smiling lightly, "we'll leave in a minute." He said before fixing the truck and shutting the hood. With a breath, he went and snagged the old, dirty rag that was on the tool box to wipe his hands off before putting the tool box back. Harrison went and washed his hands off before going to Zoey, untying her, and heading up to the house quickly, slowing down when he got there, only to see Vixi coming out with a picnic basket. "Dead horse hill?" He questioned, getting a quizzical look on his face. "Some kind of horror story, or a normal story?" He asked with a shadow of a smile.

Vixi laughs. "You will see." She said and smiled. She untied Thair and got on.

Vixi lead him to dead horse hill. She tied Thair up and set up a blanket and the basket. She layed out the food and looked at him when he joined her.

" so this is dead horse hill."She said. She loved it here flowers every where it smelled good and everything was so pretty. She grabbed a grape and sighed." So back in the 1700's there was a war going on between the natives and the British. The Natives owned this land and shared with our family. The British and natives argued for years. Apparently a young girl from the Natives and a young man from the British fell in love. They were seeing each other. One of the British officers followed the young man to the lovers meeting spot here actually. This went on for a while and the officer finally sent a note to trick the young native. He had said a horse was in trouble and could use her help. he made it sound like her lover. When the native got here she saw a slaughtered horse. She ran crying to the creature. As she did she was shit down. Her lover ran up and held her till one I f the natives came and lobed off his head. There was a big fight Natives won and got to keep there land do to my family's help. So the battle was called the Battle on Dead horse hill. They say at night you can still see the lovers ghostly figures still meeting up at night. And here the native girls wails in the wind"vixi says

He followed after her on Zoey, looking about to remember the way to this dead horse hill. Harrison took a deep breath of fresh air, enjoying the tingle of it through his lungs. It was nice being outside for the majority of the day, even if working hard. He liked it. He joined her on the blanket, sitting back a bit to drop down on his back and turn his head to listen to her story.

As she spoke, he glanced around to the scenery that swallowed them up, with the horses tied to a small lone tree, and the flowers that popped up everywhere. For once, he turned his head to her, locking his eyes onto hers while she finished the story about the two star crossed lovers. A smirk twitched at the corners of his mouth. "I've always wanted to see a ghost," he mused, but in all truth, he kind of did.
