You guys haven't posted in quite a while, which is fine of course. Just for the sake of clarity, please let me know if you still plan on picking things back up here. You can definitely also just ignore this message if you feel awkward about it, but I will just assume you've stopped. Contact me again any time you wanna get back into it.

You guys specifically have landed yourselves into a difficult position, but I just wanna clarify once again that there are ways out for you here. If you're stumped and really don't see a way out, you can always hit me up.
Also, I've noticed your last few posts only being about a sentence or two long, and I don't know if it's because we're in combat or you're not feeling it much anymore, but if you wanna continue I would have to respectfully ask you to explore your characters and their feelings and describe their actions some more in your posts. It's hard for me and/or your future counterplayers to write meaningful things based on just a sentence or two from your end. I don't wanna seem like a bitch over this but I've seen many people be turned off by things like that over the years.

Once again, if any of you just decided to drop out, that's totally fine, and you don't even have to reply to this if you don't want to.

I know I wasn't tagged, but I just wanna say I'm definitely still in!

Thinking about it, it may be because these were just two large scale encounters with lots of characters that I had to keep track of. They seemed narratively super cool so I really wanted to do them, but every time I wanted to write a post I'd have to check who moved where, check damages, make multiple rolls for about 15 characters, track all HP and statuses and update the map in some very basic map drawing thing in my browser, and all of that once again for the other encounter. It was always just a big amount of work that I had trouble motivating myself to start on.

But again, this was probably because I made these up and they weren't described with stat blocks and premade maps in the book. In the future combat will probably be a bit easier, so I'll try the next encounter with the current rules and see how Roll20 works.

In another adventure I tried to run I just focused mostly on narrative and pretty much dropped half of the combat RAW. I wanted to avoid that this time so it still felt like you got some use out of your stats.

So in short, I think it'll definitely be easier in the future when you're all just one group, and when I've found an optimal way to track and update positions on a map.

Btw idk if you were still seeking advice on this, but when I've run mass combat I find breaking a group of allies into a few teams and treating those as single creatures with multiple attacks can help.

I apologize for the late response, and how short it was in comparison to everything that happened in my absence. However, this week my schedule will be far more flexible so I intend to make up for it.

Well, since I assume there'll be no more posting from the inactive peeps, we now have a party of 3, soon to be 4, which still works :)

I'll work on a general update post today. If there's anything anyone wanted to do before that but was too late, we can obviously do a bit of a flashback scene
