Fandom Star Wars Altaverse (OOC)

And Yang, please share the cringy cs :D. Also, I was going to use this as a secret plot twist, but I realized some people might be making plans for different characters, so I just wanted to throw this out there now. I do have plans for Satele and the Shan bloodline, and at some point I plan to bring in her son, Theron Shan. In this version, I will be playing him as a Force-sensitive and former Jedi Knight who fought during the Clone Wars. Early in the conflict, he was expelled from the Jedi Order after he discovered an ancient holocron that belonged to his ancestor, Darth Revan. The holocron contained teachings on balancing both the Light and Dark Side of the Force, and the Council deemed him lost when he refused to give up his studies into his ancestor.

While he was no longer a Jedi, his skills would still be of use to the Republic, so he joined the Strategic Information Service. Throughout the rest of the Clone Wars, he participated in a number of cover operations, becoming a renown SIS Agent. When Order 66 commenced and the Republic transitioned into the Galactic Empire, the SIS was rebranded as the Strategic Security Agency, one of several agencies under the umbrella of Imperial Intelligence. While Theron, his team and their leader, Director Marcus Trant were all against the reorganization of the Republic as a growing dictatorship, they opted to maintain loyalty to Palpatine as a cover and helped plant seeds of rebellion early on.

Over the next ten years, the SSA compiled secret caches of data on potential rebel hotspots, concealing key pieces of information from their superiors. The Imperial Security Bureau was charged with rooting out disloyalty within the Empire and directly handled matters of rebel activity, treason, and internal affairs, but they depended on information from the SSA for a majority of their operations. This allowed Trant and Theron to manipulate which missions were successful, and often used stealth and trickery to fake the deaths of suspected rebel sympathizers and ferry them to distant worlds in the Outer Rim.

About four years ago, Agent Alexsandr Kallus of the ISB became suspicious of Trant and Theron and launched an internal investigation into the SSA. This ultimately led the SSA to destroy any leftover traces of their data caches and defect from the Empire, fleeing into the Outer Rim, where they established Echo Base on the icy planet Hoth. Within the base, Theron began training Force-sensitives to balance all sides of the Force, following his ancestor Revan's beliefs that hiding from emotions only makes them easier to take control in moments of weakness. This was the foundation of the Revanite Order, and the Revanites within were essentially Grey Jedi. Theron felt this new Order would be a better fit to fight the Sith as the taint of the Dark Side would not be so compelling to the Revanites as they already had an intimate knowledge of it and had learned to control their emotions instead of hiding them away and then being overcome by them like so many fallen Jedi.

So, when we enter into open rebellion with our characters, we have the Revanite Order and military forces from Echo Base on Hoth; we will have Jedi General Rahm Kota and his militia; we'll have the support of House Organa on Alderaan, House Mothma on Chandrila, and House Bel Iblis on Corellia; we'll have mercenary forces hired, including the Zann Consortium and the Protectors, a group of Mandalorian warriors led by Fenn Rau who defected from the Empire.
*applauds*

Yeah Ghost, didn't want to mention your Rakata rebel cell until you posted it, as I wasn't sure if you were still making any changes to it or anything :D.

Wow that uh. We need to talk...

So, cool characters, but there is no way Yoda would deliberately train a student in the Dark Side. Also, since the Empire is not involved directly in the story until the arrival of Inquisitor Malgus, Darth Droid would have no reason to be in the story at first. Also, I want to avoid him clashing with other characters during battles, because if two different writers have their characters fight each other, it often causes tensions and tantrums about people being unfair. Thus, I'd rather only have characters fight other characters they control, such as NPCs and enemies.

For instance, let's say we have a battle scene. I say there are two dozen Stormtroopers, and each person takes control of a few of the troopers to write out battle scenes.
Could Darth droid and a small group of sith training droids defect from the empire?

Hm, well, if my memory serves me correctly, this is 10 years after the Clone Wars, and the Clone Wars lasted for 3 years, means he was knightes at 18

"The RP starts similar to how the Rebels animated series did -- fourteen years after the rise of the Empire and five years before the Battle of Yavin" Quoted from the first post.
The Battle of Geonosis took place in 22BBY, so if my maths aren't off, your character was 14 at the Battle of Geonosis.

Just need to put this out there. Most younglings either get a master at around 12-13 if they don't they go off to the Agriculture Corps to grow plants.

We also have alot of trained force users...
Exactly my point. Getting a master at 12-13 and being knighted at 14 doesn't really make much sense to me. Even though it is a crisis. I mean, Anakin wasn't knighted until like 3 years later when he was in his twenties, and he was seen as an exception...

Yeah I know. I guess a lot of people wanted to RP as force sensitives...

Honestly that ratio isn't bad, especially given it's a Star Wars Rp. Imo anyway, I'm sure the ratio will even out or beef up atleast a bit more with future members should more join in. Yang Xiao Long Yang Xiao Long
My character falls into a weird category of Untrained Force User/Force user, I'm considering not playing them now though...

I just wish that when it came to Starwars RPs, Especially during the Galatic Civil war Jedi would stop coming out of the woodwork.

Yeah I know what you mean. Though in this case it kind of makes sense. Since this story will be focused on a growing rebellion against the Empire and therefore the Sith, it isn't unlikely that a lot of surviving Jedi will come out of the shadows.
I do agree that the number of Jedi dropping in after we've started should probably be limited though. Most did die during Order 66 after all. At the same time, the Jedi are the biggest reason to RP Star Wars for a lot of people.

True true.

All I want is a chance to interrogate an imperial officer. I've been wanting to do an interrogation scene for a long time.

Also how organized do we want to say the rebellion is?

I see what you mean. But then again it's Star Wars, Force users come in every generation and those who survived which is a untellable amount in my opinion, many died during the 66 onslaught , but plenty still are unknown of Status. Also in this Rps case plenty of folks including myself mentioned they'd be using a force sensitive. Plus the timeline and AU scenarios this Rp presents.

In my personal case and view: I've always preferred the sword over the gun. (Lightsaber over blasters unless it's a western) More style, forms and unique qualities to choose from and that's before the whole force deal. (I usually tend to just focus more on the Lightsaber side of Ocs rather then use force powers in direct, combative form) Non-Force sensitives for me- Never could create a OC I was satisfied with and wanted to use.

Star Wars meanwhile is the lone fandom that presents Jedi/Sith/Grey options where as plenty of other Rps, offer Guns, Merc options and etc.

I don't have anything wrong with force sensitives. It's trained force sensitives that I have issues with. I find that they dillude the story when you throw too many in.

I also tend to have issues with how powerful some of these force sensitives that come up are as well. Most times they have an affinity to the force more so matching Akakin or the Jedi Masters rather than what an average Jedi Knight would be capable of.

I'm in this for the long haul and I'm going to wait until some of these guys drop like flies before I take up a huge issue with it. As it is RPN I would say at least half of these people are going to drop from the RP.

As for the sword over the gun bit. It would actually be interesting to see a sword master character. The kind that uses a Vibroblade over a light saber. I feel they would be particularly deadly towards the Sith

I don't pay attention to the trained bit. It's all how it plays out and how much the abilities change the power scale, some if not half the force powers are rather passive and plenty are basic to all sensitives. What I'm currently wondering is about the Auto-Knowledge feature the Cybernetic eye appears to offer on the CS and how OP it sounds to me. Maybe it will play out differently in character just as force abilities could play out lower then they sound, so I'm gonna wait and see and let the GM decide who's accepted, who's in need of edits and etc.

Definitely. I mean sensing someone's weakness is key to winning pretty much every battle, and with a super-advanced cybernetic that does that for you in a matter of seconds... Well...

Yep! Even the non combat auto knowledge feature is too much imo. But the weakness sensor and locate feature plus the quick effortless time length is the major concern in my view. I've seen many Ocs and power scales over the years across several genres and fandoms like we all probably have, but to me from what I've read the one standout for me in this Rp is that eye.

Basically read the CS and your character knows all or read a IC post where your character has no way of knowing and yet they still know all. I just have a hard time with that one.

Actually, there is no probably about it. It is extremely over powered.

I concur with this, scanning someone and learning their weaknesses in a mere blink of an eye is way too OP; the only times I could see this not being OP is after diligent research and multiple encounters with the scanned target in question. Now, if the scanning was changed; for instance, maybe the user can see any injuries a target might have (not physical conditions like high blood pressure or weak joints), or see if they have concealed weapons, that'd be more acceptable.
