"I remember when the general picked me up from one of those...I was only five." He mentioned, knowing that she might not even care, but said it anyway. "How far do we have to go?" He asked, not getting impatient or tired, just wondering.
Jen perked up at his last question " Actually, where almost there... " she swung one leg over Snow and got on her like she was a horse " you sure you can keep up? " she asked before Snow dove down an uncapped manhole and into the sewer " Hope your not afraid of the dark! " she called and laughed
Light smirked and watched as she plunged underneath the road and into a sewer. "You kidding? Max and I are the Kings of speed!" He exclaimed then hopped down there after her, Max at their heels.
" Go Snow! Go! " Jen smiled wide and pressed flat against Snow, she blendid in and it was hard to see her separately from her spirit animal, Snow room a sharp left turn and then a right before slowing and and Jen jumped off unlocked a dor and strod inside
Mia laid back and saw the girl and boy from earlier jump into a sewer. She thought a moment. "Well nobody ever got hurt from curiousity." She said happily. "Mercy, you ready to be sneaky? You ready to be nosy?" Mia said and Mercy responded by wagging her tail.
Light was right behind them, almost tripping on the second turn which slowed him down slightly. He stopped right behind them, fixing his hair. Max barked and wagged his tail happily, excited to go inside. Light stepped in, looking around.
Mia followed the girl and boy silently. Mercy clung to Mia's back. Mia arrived at the door but hid herself in the shadows, curious. Mercy got off Mia's back.
From being an exceptionally good assassin, Light could sense someone around. "I don't think we're alone..." He said, turning around and walking out. He saw the glowing eyes of a small animal but couldn't tell what it was. "Hello...?" He asked.
Jen took a deep breath in and the cavern had light pouring in from a large gratw in the ceiling, a few broke or tatwrwd bwds where spread about and a cough was placed in front of an old tv with a game console and a few games in front of it, strangely the whole place smelled like vanilla " Not technically home... But where I've been staying " she glanced to Light " Ya I noticed...I'm sure she spotted us as we went down, but she's a child so she shouldn't be any trouble " Jen flopped down on the couch while Snow walked off and came back with a movie Jen got up and put it in the gaming consol then turned on the TV grabbed the remote and flopped back down " Make yourselves at home " she relaxed and watched the movie as it began the advertisements
"Yup. You ruined my run into the store to, um, borrow things?" Mia said. Mercy noticed how large the other spirit animals were and her ears flattened against her head.
Light kinda smiled as he saw Jen get comfortable. He turned back around to look at this girl with a fox on her shoulder. He doesn't mind children. The only problem is that he never usually talks to people younger than him. He was always the youngest one back in Alaska. "Have you been following us this whole time?" He asked as nicely as he could. "Oh yeah...sorry about that. I have food and candy in my backpack if you'd like some..." He said, gesturing towards the pack behind him.
Jen strethxed and sighed as Snow came and climbed on too of her laying down, Jen groaned " Ugh....Snow....your heavy " she laid her head back and watched Light and Mia except they where upside down now " Nice fox " Jen said and pointed to Mercy
"Well, curiousity never hurt anyone." Mia said, she tried to get Mercy off her shoulder, only to find the fox's claws had dug into her shoulder. "Mercy! Ow. You need to let go." Mia said. "Thanks! Because, Mercy is just too sweet!" Mia said as she struggled with Mercy.
Light kinda chuckled as the girl struggled with her fox. "I'm Light." He said, taking his backpack off to get some lollipops that were inside one of the smaller zipper pockets. "Here." He held his hand out, waiting for her to get her spirit animal under control. "Hey Jen, wanna lollipop?" He asked, sticking one in his mouth.
Light smiled then walked over, handing Jen the lollipop. His gaze shifted to the screen. He's only ever seen one or two movies, and they were about killing. He never got to watch actual acted out movies because they always had him training.
Mia pulled Mercy off, then nodded to Light. "I'm Mia, the aforementioned fox is Mercy." Mercy was terrified of the two much bigger spirit animals in the room, and she was barely the height of Mia's knee.
Jen popped the lollipop in her mouth and tossed the wrapped on the floor next to her licking it quickly she took it out and said " I'm Jen and this is Snow.....she's as harmless as a kitten so you can pet her, she won't hurt Mercy " then she put the lollipop back in her mouth and hummed to the songs they sang on the TV
Jen skipped through a few bits and played it at her favorite part, suddenly she busted out singing " The Phaaaaaaantom of the Opera is theeeeeere, inside my miiiind! " and Snow stole a few licks at he lollipop, Jen had a beautiful singing voice
Jen stopped and jerked her lollipop away from Snow " Hey thats mine " she said more amused then angry, she chuckled and sighed rolling her eyes " Fine we'll share " she stuck the lollipop back in her mouth, its not like Snow could give her anything...this was practically her soul in animal form
Light turned around to look at Jen singing. When she was done with her song he clapped and nodded his head. "You sounded like a dying rat." He joked. "I'm kidding. You have a very nice singing voice." He said genuinely.
