Fantasy SpiritFire *Open and always accepting*

Gunshots were heard and Max felt the large tiger next to him. He stopped and turned around, trying to lead Snow back to Jen by standing by her. Just then Light ran up, ran past them, and ran towards the gun shots. He got out his gun and continued running. He disappeared into a building. A couple minutes after entering, no gunshots were heard, and all was silent. Moments later, Light came out perfectly fine. He whistled for Max, which in return ran to stand by his side.

Jen came sliding to a stop " What was that? " she immediately asked brows furrowed watching Light

Light gave a nervous chuckle. "Uh..nothing." He scratched the back of his head nervously.

Jen growled slightly and asked again " What was that? " she had an edge to her voice and Snow gave a quiet hiss ears laid back smelling blood and gunpowder, as did Jen

Max began to growl a bit. "I told you already. Nothing." Light said sternly. He isn't supposed to tell anyone about what he does, especially someone he just met. And their Tiger. "I'm sorry. I just can't tell you, even if I wanted to."

Jen hissed slightly " Do it anyway... " she paused before adding " Where you sent here to kill someone? " Snow brushed against Jen calming down slightly

He sighed then looked to the side. "If I say yes will you drop the subject?" He asked, crossing his arms. Max whined after Light said the word 'yes'. Even the wolf knew what consequences would be held if Light exposed the truth so obviously in public.

(I gtg to bed, I'll reply in the morning.)

Jen hufed and fixed her shirt and jacket pulling her hood off and fixing her hair " Maybe... " she said and stole and glance to Snow who sat down next to her

He shook his head, suddenly his phone rang. He answered quickly. "Sir!" He shouted, standing tall as if he were given a command. "Yes sir. I've completed my mission." The other line on the phone hung up, so did Light. He slipped the phone back into his pocket and looked at Jen. "Okay, well, I--" Light sighed, closing his eyes. "If I tell you it could get me killed. No, if I tell you, it will get me killed. They'll kill you too." He said in the most serious tone. Light wasn't joking. What he spoke of was the truth. He walked past her, Max following, and casually began to walk towards an abandoned building. He'd have to stay in this town until the general's helicopter gets recovered.

Jen immediately was a blur and she grabbed his arm, flipped him over and pinned him to the ground holding his arm behind her back " I'm guessing we have more in common than you think " she let him go and stepped away brushing against Snow

He tried remaining calm as she pinned him down, things like this make him furious. Light didn't say anything but just slowly got off of the ground as she moved away from him. "We have nothing in common." He spat angrily. "and don't you ever do that again." He pointed to her as Max wagged his tail. Light glared at Max. "It's not funny!" He threw his arms up then slapped them back down against his sides. That just made Max even more happy. "Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go find somewhere to live." He said, attempting to move past Jen again.

Jen glanced away and laughed slightly " Sorry...but you gave yourself away, I know what you do for a living, I have the same job...and if you want I can show you a place you can stay " she stretched and sat on Snow's back smirking to Max she looked back to Light

As much as Light didn't want to admit it, Jen was right. He did give himself away. His fists clenched as he took a deep breath in, and a deep breath out. With that he turned around and put on a plastic smile. His fists were now unclenched, and he crossed his arms. "Fine." He muttered, looking to the side, his smile now gone. "You better not speak of what I do for a living ever again." He said seriously, look back at her. "You, on the other hand, how many have you killed?"

Jen suddenly wasn't amused or smug anymore, her face fell expressionless and she swallowed the muscles around her jaws, shoulders and fists tightened as she said quietly " It depends on what you are talking about...cause I don't always kill humans " Snow laid her hears back and lowered her fluffy head she seemed to be mourning

He stood there, watching as both of their moods suddenly changed. Light found his mood also changing. "What else do you kill?"

Jen swallowed again as her throat began to close, like when someone is about to cry but she didn't have any tears " ...spirit animals... " she said, her voice strained and hoarse. Jen got up and pulled her hood on looking at the ground she turned and began walking " Come on... " she said and Snow nudged them forwards before following Jen " I can take you to the place, where you can stay "

Light was kind of shocked, her words left him wandering why...? He began following Jen. Max walked along as well. After a couple minutes of walking and silence, Light moved up next to Jen. "You know I'm wondering why. Mind telling me?" He asked, not in a rude tone, but just curiosity.

Mia went back inside and sat on her matress in a large, musty room. She ate some bacon she'd snatched from an open window. "Because its who we are." She quietly sang, Mercy curling up in her lap. "Doesn't matter if we've gone to far. Doesn't matter if its all okay. Doesn't matter if its not our day. Save us. What we are. Don't look clear, its all uphill from here."

Jen paused for a moment as flashes of dying spirit animal came to mind as they stepped in her way to save their master, she gasped and closed her eyes tight shaking her head she opened her eyes and kept walking

He fell silent and turned his head away from her, looking ahead. Light knows what regret feels like. He's faced it his whole life. One out of the only few things he knows is to kill. "If it hurts that bad...why do you do it?" He asked. That's one of the questions he asks himself, he still doesn't have an answer.

Jen let the breath out she had been holding " Why?.....well, lets just say...I don't always keep the money " she glanced to an orphanage they where passing by, this made a smile pulled at the corners of her mouth

So, she's doing it for money...he told himself. Now he understood. Have to make a living somehow. "Why are you smiling at the orphanage?" He asked, crossing his arms and squinting his eyes to see what was so great about it.

Jen waved her hand and shook her head " Nothing " she sighed and her smile faded as she looked aways and picked up the pace, Snow purred and trotted coming up on Jen's other side nuzzling her
