“Pick me up from here!” She called as he walked out the door hoping he had heard her then she listened to max and frowned. “You’re not telling me everything missy.” She told her. “I know you too well.” She smiled some.

Jon dropped Lana off with his parents then headed home again and sat watching tv getting super jittery and not wanting anything of today to go through but he had resigned himself to not having her like that anymore.

Max took in a deep breath and looked at her friend through the mirror as she did her hair "I had this dream, it was today. I was ready to walk down the isle and I did. I had never felt so much happieness in my entire life Carmen. It felt so real and when I got up that altar, Michael wasn't there." she admits and took a shaky breath trying to not let any tears fall. She really did not want to break down crying in the middle of the salon.

Charlie heard her and quickly went home smiling as he played with the dogs until he needed to go get Carmen.

She frowned some and bit her lip, going to get her a drink and while she was doing that gave Jon a call telling him to come down to the salon now. She took the water out to her and smiled some. “The person who needs to hear this is on his way over right now. I’ll leave you both to privacy.” She smiled as she saw Jon walk through the door and she went to take her meds seeing the time and sit down with a snack, texting Charlie that he should probably hold off on putting that suit on.

Jon walked straight over to max and took a seat. “What’s going on? Carmen was real vague on the phone.” He told her.

Max looked over at him and shook her head some "I can't do it Jon. I can't marry him." she said quietly before tears started streaming down her face "I don't love him like that anymore." she whispered

Charlie frowned some at the text before he called Carmen "Everything okay?" he asked hoping that she was okay more than anything.

“Yeah uh... I’ll explain later okay? Don’t have time right now.” She told him quietly then hung up and sat waiting for them to come let her know what they decided.

He frowned and watched her carefully. “Why are you telling me this?” He asked her taking her hands in his gently. He needed her to say it out loud and that was all he needed, ready to take her away from there at a moments notice. He hadn’t never stopped loving her and since Lana had been harsh but truthful about it all he had fallen deeper in love with her all over again.

Charlie frowned softly but nodded and went back to chilling with the dogs.

Max looked at him and squeezed his hand tightly "I had this dream, it was our wedding day Jon. Not Michael, it was you. It's always been you Jon." she admitted stroking his cheek gently smiling softly at the now smoother cheek. She always loved him, more than anything and she knew now all she wanted was to be with him and have the life they had always dreamed about "Jon please, lets go, lets get out of here and make it just us with Lana. We can raise her together. I promise to handle things with Michael, but right now I need to be with you and only you." she explained to him.

Jon listened to her carefully and smiled some. “Alright.... alright let’s go. Let’s get you sorted first.” He murmured and kissed her head, going to get carmen who came out quickly. Once they were sorted he grabbed her hand and rushed out, getting her in his cruiser and then got in the drivers side, taking her home and helping her pack all her stuff into siitcases as quickly as possible, chucking them in the car then driving her home to his place.

She got Max’s hair sorted back to normal and hugged her tightly “I’ll go to the church and talk to them Alright?” She murmured hugging her again then shooed her off with Jon watching them almost sneaking out and giggled a bit. Nothing had changed really. She called Charlie and smiled some. “You better come pick me up and take me to the church babe.” She smiled, explaining once he got there what had happened and as they got to the church she walked in and straight up to the front, “Michael.... she uh.... she’s not coming.” She told him gently.

Max left quickly with him hugging Carmen tight before she left. She looked at him as they got to his place and took a deep breath feeling an immense weight come off of her shoulders. She turned to look at him and quickly ran over wrapping her arms around his neck and hugging him tightly "Thank you Jon, for everything." she whispered before pulled away and staring up at him the entire time.

Michael looked at Carmen giving a big smile thinking that Max was here and it would almost be time. Though when Carmen came up to him and told him Max wouldn't be there his smile fell "What-What do you mean she's not coming?" he asked in disbelief as he sat on the steps taking deep breaths shaking his head a bit trying to keep him composure before he told everyone.

Carmen explained everything to him then left him to it and went home with Charlie sighing heavily. “There’s gonna be drama.” She muttered yawning as they got inside.

He grinned and kissed her gently. “I have missed you every day but you’re home baby. You’re home.” He murmured holding her close.

Charlie frowned softly and held her hand as he started to drive her home "Well try not to stress about it too much okay? This is between Max, Michael, and Jon." He said seriously to her. He didn't want her getting worse because of stress from drama.

Max nodded softly not able to wipe the smile from her face "I'm home." She whispered before pressing her lips to his in a deep loving kiss. She was upset that she had to hurt Michael because that was the last thing she wanted, but she knew that this was the right thing to do and that her place was with Jon.

She just nodded and held onto him once they got inside. “Come with me mister.” She smiled and kissed him softly, tugging him towards the stairs.

Jon smiled and kissed her back, carrying her to the couch. “Look... you’re gonna have to talk to him... but I wanna make sure that I’m there. Just in case.... But for now it’s just you and me and no one else’s babe.” He smiled kissing her again.

Charlie smiled and kissed her gently following her up the stairs "You know, whenever you feel like it, my bike is out of the shop. I'd love to go on a little roadtrip with you." He told her while he followed

Max moved to straddle his waist and nodded some "I think I will tomorrow...once I know he is somewhat cooled down." She murmured before she kissed him again keeping her body close to him

Carmen smiled and kissed him gently. “I dunno... we better find out if I’m up for that.” She murmured and kissed him gently while she continued to pull him to the bedroom and promptly started undressing him.

He nodded and smiled, kissing her back softly. “I don’t think we should do this tonight max... not tonight. Give us a bit of time first.” He told her not wanting them to rush into sex again.

Max pulled away only a little and nodded some before she went into cuddling him "Fair enough, but cuddling is not off limits." She said giving a small laugh not caring about not having sex, she just wanted to be in his arms.

Charlied smirked and groaned softly undressing her as well...He lay with her afterwards and panted softly while he pulled the covers over his lower half but keeping hisnupper exposed "Well that was a very nice surprise."

He smiled and pulled her in closer, kissing her head. “I’ve missed you more than I could ever say.” He murmured gently and kissed her cheek.

Carmen smiled tiredly and curled in close to him after pulling his T-shirt over her head, slipping her arms around him. “Mmm.... I love you.” She murmured, pecking his cheek.

Max smiled softly and kissed under his chin gently "I've missed you too Jon, sometimes I wish I never left." She whispered taking his hand in hers and playing with his fingers gently "I love you Jon, I want you to know that." She murmured

Charlie smiled softly and kissed the top of her head "I love you too Carmen." He murmured before he closed his eyes taking deep steady breaths.

She frowned a little and rest her head back some gently rubbing circles on his chest. “You okay baby?” She murmured gently to him.

He smiled and kissed her softly before holding her a little closer. “I love you too.” He smiled pulling her in right.

Charlie nodded softly and gave her a soft smile "Yeah Im alright, just thinking about everything is all." He said softly

Max kissed him back and gave a soft smile stroking his cheek gently. She was having a nice time with him until she heard a banging at the front door and her mother yelling on the other side "Shit..." she muttered

Jon frowned and got off the couch going to answer the door. “Hi Marie.” He said quietly biting his lip waiting with bated breath for her to chew his ear off.

Carmen frowned. “Talk to me.” She murmured still rubbing circles in his chest.

Marie glared at Jon shaking her head "Where. Is. She." She said in a low voice furious with her daughter for what she had done. When he didn't reply she took another deep breath "JONATHAN BERNTHAL WHERE IS MY DAUGHTER?!" She screamed

Charlie frowned softly and took a deep breath "I'm doing so well...but the alcohol, its like a craving, I just want a beer but I know if I do it'll just make me spiral down." He admits looking down at her "I want to make it through this, and you're the one getting me through it all."

She nodded and frowned rubbing his chest some more. “I love you. And I’m always no more than a phone call away when you need help.” She murmured gently kissing his cheek.

Jon frowned. “Marie I.... shes inside.” He sighed heavily and let her in. “Max! Your moms here.” He called to her watching her come out the lounge.

Charlie nodded softly and kissed the top of her head "You don't know how much that means to me Carmen, no one has been there for me through this." He whispered

Max frowned as stepped out of the lounge looking at her mom "Mom....mom calm down okay?" She said gently feeling her heart break as she looked at the disappointment in her mother's face

She smiled a little and bit her lip from reminding him of why no one had been there for him “I love you. Get some sleep babe.” She murmured quietly and curled in closer falling asleep quickly.

He sighed heavily and frowned. “Marie.... I’m sorry... look I really am but...” he quickly shut up when she turned and glared at him.

Marie glared towards Jon then back to Max shaking her head some "How long will this time last huh?! You going to get pregnant again and leave?! I can't believe you are so fucking selfish Maxine! Your dad would be so ashamed." She spat before she walked out of the door

Max looked at Jon shocked and whimpered softly letting tears fall from her eyes "He....He wouldnt be ashamed of me." She whispered

Charlie nodded softly and sighed heavily knowing it was his fault that no one wanted to be around him anymore. He just wanted to try and correct his life before it was too late.

Jon sighed heavily and kissed her head hugging her tight. “Shh... shes upset but it’s gonna be alright. She’ll come around. It’s probably just a shock to her... look.... it’s been a long day, come to bed love.” He murmured gently coaxing her up the stairs.

Carmen woke up early and frowned hearing Charlie’s voice downstairs talking to someone and guessing he was on the phone so she got up slowly and headed down there frowning some seeing he was looking really excited, mouthing to him who he was talking to but froze and tensed up when he told her it was his dad.
