The base death sight scan allows you to pick up the following basic information:


This isn't normal Awakened (Mage) magic, but it is a supernatural effect. This seems to be an ancient ritual or form of pact that has existed since the dawn of time, and will have a permanent effect. Even though this is not Mage magic, the strange thing is that you are able to notice with Death that this is magic related to the Soul. This means it must be some kind of ancient Soul-altering pact. Very dangerous stuff, in fact, you'd be aware that the human man who was standing before you has had his soul replaced with whatever this unknown spiritual entity is. The human's soul is gone, and he is technically dead, but this other entity has taken the place of his soul.

You are able to determine that whatever is causing this Soul effect is at least three times stronger than you, being an apprentice mage...and seems to be growing stronger after claiming the man's soul. You glimpse the form of an angelic looking eyeball with a red glowing eye and wings, but it isn't clear at all. The creature resembles and angelic or querubim creature from the Supernal Aether, but it's not a creature that you are directly familiar with based on your Arcana of study. A creature of the Aether isn't likely to work with soul magic either, so this is something very different. It's clearly not part of the normal magical paradigm, besides resembling an angelic creature. It's hard to read its essence with death so you have no idea what powers it may have, but it's clearly a spiritual being.

Week 10 Update (Session 2 End)


Yuzuki gets 1 beat [3/5] for Participation, and the next session will start with her moving in with Madison.


Xanthus gets his participation beat [2/5] and will remain in the morning inside the manor.


Saede earns tons of beats. First, one for participation. Then two for her demonic conditions. She cannot earn a Cover beat because Kal found her, but she still gets two normal beats instead so...fair trade? She also gets a fourth beat for continuing on her investigation. This brings her to 8 exp [1 unspent and 3/5 beats].


Robbert earns his participation beat, bringing him to 10 exp. I suggest he reshuffle some of his Aspirations, now that he's left the manor.


Naomi gets no beats this time due to being unconcious, but she's going to have plenty to do from this point on since we're moving forward.


Madison restores her Willpower [5/5] due to sharing her home with Performance (Generosity). She also gains her participation beat (4/5 beats)


Lupus gets his participation beat, giving him 5 exp with 3 unspent. I would give another for finding the forsaken, but you didn't have to do any work to get that info so I'll pass on that for now.


Jean gains his participation beat [3/5].

You find some phone-numbers in his abandoned contact book that are tied to the Casino as well as the friends of his that you've talked to. His room is fairly ordinary. He's got sports posters on the walls, a bed, a laptop, and a closet that has a strange pendant with a pentagram drawn on it. Was this guy into the occult?

It honestly depends on what kind of character you're interested in playing. Some concepts would be easier for me to insert than others at this point.

I'd suggest Demon between those two, only because I haven't read Geist at all. This is also a demon-focused story so...that's also a factor.

I'd like a new character on the anti-demon side, as long as they post often. If you wouldn't mind playing a Forsaken, Vampire from Ordo Dracul or Lancea Sanctum, or Hunter from Mallus Maleficarium, or maybe a Spirit Mage or Shaman, I'd appreciate that. :3

Right now he's working on playing a Mekhet, who are mostly allied with the Ordo-Dracul. He didn't list his character as being part of the covenant though, but he is going to be on your side. Most likely working with Laurie.

Week 11 Update


Everything's going fairly smooth. Participation will be given out next week. Some updates below.


-The Police Station is now controlled by the Lucifuge. I will update it on the map later. The character list has also been updated.


-Xanthus needs to either post this week or get into a text-chat with Jean in order to earn full credit. If a text chat happens, it will count towards participation for both characters.


-Naomi is on leave due to being in the hospital. Participation will not be given.


-Umbrie and I are going to do her next scene in private, because of the explicit nature of the Dollhouse. She will get credit as for this.


-The deal has caused Lupus to sever ties with the Thule Society (Merit removed, 2 merit dots left open due to Sanctity of Merits. Lucifuge Status 2. Audric has been removed from his phone and has left the game. Lupus has also been Soul Bonded [blood Bond stage 1] to Yuzuki and gained the Twilight Sight Tell as merit.)
