Fantasy Soul Secrets

Katarina watched everyone try to attack the man. Her friends weren't doing much as they attacked him, so she didn't think she would do much at all. Katarina conjured a ball of fire in her hands and threw it at the mysterious man. She didn't think that it would do much, but she wanted to whatever she can to help out her friends who have always been there for her for these past few action-packed days. Katarina was ready to make a wall of fire if the agent did a lot of damage. She tried to have the wall of fire as a last resort, it pains her to keep it up all the time. It consumes a lot of her energy.

Chantal watched in horror as Ben was thrown easily like a rag-doll and Julie was kicked in the face with harsh force. This agent was literally taking them down one by one with effortless ease and they weren't ready for this kind of combat anyhow, not against someone this precise and powerful. They were all tired, hungry and weak from fighting other enemies but it just seemed like the trouble loved to hit them right after another with no mercy. Seeing on how things were turning out, this could very well be their last day alive.

She looked around to get ahold of the surrounding she was in and of course, being that it was a jungle, it was just trees and dirt. There was nothing that could really help her but then she thought about the barrier she had created around Honesty when he was possessed. If she could create something similar but with a thicker energy and hard to penetrate from the inside out, perhaps she could trap him inside. Maybe, just maybe. However, what would she do after then? Decrease the size of the barrier to suffocate him or possibly crush him? It was worth the try wasn't it?

Her stomach growled again as she shook in fear at the thought of actually being in combat, something that she swore she wouldn't find herself into but with Cameron and her friends down, she had to do something. Being with her other half made to realize that. Chantal's eyes went back to him as she heard him excrete contents from his stomach, most of it being acid. She placed a hand on his back for a quick support before she inhaled deeply, standing up to try and get closer to the agent.

As she did, Cameron's words echoed in her head as a warning. Run? She was tired of running. It was time she would do something... or die trying. Giving the other pink soul a quick glance, she merely shook her head before moving a bit more towards the male clad in the black suit.

Julie watched as the agent had delivered a deft kick to Ben's parietal bone, pushing the limp body onto the ground with an extended arm. Not wanting to miss the chance, he binded the arm with a branch against the agent's body to help restrict his movements. He was least expecting any retalitation, going to forcibly tackle the man onto the ground. His body flinched before he could realize what the growing object was.

A clean kick across his face had sent him reeling. Mercilessly, Julie crashed headfirst into a tree from the impact, a loud crack indicating his dislocated jaw. He managed to barely hold onto his conscious as he picks his head up from the dirt, grimacing as he watch the agent snap the branches like they were toothpicks. With his teeth clenched from the pain, Julie coughed up some blood onto the ground.

It hurt, it seriously pained him to watch his friends get demolished like this. He had no energy left to spare, his body failing to respond to even one simple last request to attack. He knew that his friends could not hold their own against the agent, not even if they all jumped in together. This man never took them seriously in the first place, they were like crippled hamsters trying to pick a fight with a lion, a hopeless situation. He placed his head down in defeat, his expression bleak.

Ben let out a soft groan, looking up just in time to see julie smack into a tree. Well, seems like none of them are gonna win this.. but they could buy time for Cameron in some way. Or at least they wouldnt all go down via SEP.

She quickly jumped to her feet. Sharp branches grew in her hands and she forced them to take root in said hands, so her weapon could not be knocked away. They grew in size and ben attacked, slashing at him from every direction with a similar plant out of the ground. This way she kept some distance and was a good distraction. She looked toward Chantal, ready to give her room to fight.

James began to store energy, and his eyes began to glow bright white... It would take him a bit to charge up his best beam. But he would wait.... As long as he could store it, it would all be fine... But it didn't look like they had any time left. As the beam charged, he began to take slow steps to the point where he wouldn't be blown away... Much. He could just watch as the pain slowly grew. Slowly... Slowly... He didn't know his limit, but at his last point of consciousness, he would release the power. Hopefully it wouldn't be too long. James might go into a coma for a week, or he might just fall unconscious for a day. James was going to need a bit of luck to do this and hope the agent didn't attack him. He had one shot... One chance...

They say, mind over matter. Cameron believed it, but at the moment he couldn't see how that would get him up. It took every fiber of his being just to roll over onto his stomach. Julie had just coughed up blood, and he seemed like he was out. Guess that's what he gets for picking plants as his power, amirite? It wasn't even a half of a second that Cameron kept his focus on Julie, though, because Chantal was still moving forward.

Even when he told her to run, she kept moving. He couldn't be mad; what would he do in her shoes? The exact same. But he wouldn't let her go alone. There was no way. He had to get up, he had to fight. This was it, if he didn't. They would die. Everyone who had grown so close, worked together to keep moving onward through these past couple of days in hell... Their plight would be for nothing.

Fight... Fight...FIGHT.

He let out a frustrated yell, placing his hands on the ground before he began his attempt to push himself up. Sweat was dripping off of him like a fountain, and his bones felt brittle to the touch. Cameron's stomach was in knots and his head was pounding, to the point where he wanted to rip it off just to feel better. His skin felt as though there were tiny bugs scurring across the entire surface area, tingly to the touch. All of these things, in comparison to Chantal, mattered none. His body not moving was insignificant as opposed to this. He got up to his knees, which only exacerbated his issues.

Nonetheless, he moved one leg slowly, and planted his foot on the ground. As he slowly got up to his feet, his posture was all kinds of fucked up. Half-leaning to the side, his knees slightly bent (one moreso than the other), and his arms hanging limply. Cameron let out another yell, through gritted teeth.

"CHAN....TAAAAL!"

The pain forced James to his knees. "Shit." James whispered... Now he was defenseless... He missed his parents... He might see them again... But he had to keep charging in the hope that one of them would get away... He would just sit there until he had enough charge... He would see his parents if this didn't work. And he might see them if he did.

Valentina didn't know what to do. She wasn't a fighter every time she got into a fight she would lose and be left crying on the ground. But all her friends needed help, she stood frozen, what could she do. She stared at the man, she couldn't fight but maybe she could give those that could a chance. She steeled her resolve and ran straight and hard at the man, tackling him.

The roots of her plant sunk into her skin as it gained her nutriants to grow in density and strength, turning poisonous as well. Lets see him try to break these. The contact to the bark has minor but effective toxins. She would cut at his head and arms as one from tje ground attacked his back. She avoided chantal and val to the best of her ability, not letting them touch her comrades.

Chantal ran towards the man, trying to be a swift and quiet as possible to try and get the jump on him. Twigs crackled under her feet and she was certain that the sounds would give away her position but that wasn't her main concern. She need to trap him in a barrier thick enough that he wouldn't be able to penetrate – she need to protect Cameron.

Getting a good angle, she stopped and planted both of her feet firmly into the ground. This was her chance; this was her only chance. Both of her hands were soon raised into the air, directed at the suited man. If one hand could create a thick enough barrier, imagine what two could possibly do. She focused on the energy around him, ignoring Cameron's yell towards her, and began to cast the physic construct over him.

It amazed her how it was working so far, the energy particles gathering and bonding together to create the sphere. Could she actually trap him inside? She though so before the barrier dispersed before it could even be completed and that had never happened before. He looked at the man confusedly before looking at her own two hands and stood paralyzed. What just happened?

As Honesty stood ready for his turn of attacking, his jaw repeatedly tensing and relaxing as his eyes followed his makeshift soul family get easily counter attacked. Why wasn't he moving or taking any action than just waving back and forth like a fool? Hell, he knew himself. He was a lover, not a fighter, but by now he would've been seething with rage when the Agent actually laid a finger on their heads. Through his misplaced emotions, he was struggling to keep on his two feet already. And this is what poked in a speck of 'anger' into his skull. The blue soul subconsciously swore to protect his friends, as a user of water and important component to the globe they called home... But he couldn't even stand up without struggling. Right on time, he was to weak to even make haste from the fun earlier events to begin attacking. He wavered over mother nature's green carpet, his sight constantly blurring in and out of focus as if some opposing foe was using their powers to keep him at useless bay.

Seeing Katarina's face alight of indecision as her hands instantly burned bright with flames, ready to attack, the sounds of battle taking place faded as he focus on her for a second. An abrupt pop of what could only be a bone resounded as his shoulders arose and sunk periodically, his eyes glancing at Julie as he stumbled hard into a tree. Honesty's heart secretly wrenched as the green soul pathetically tried to lift himself up, but crumbled back down onto the grass, his face giving and saying not a thing. His fingers curled, his pillar of water ready to be shifted and used, an occasional shock of white brimming the smooth edges thanks to the help of Val 'enhancing' it with her electric abilities. The pillar soon began rippling as his hands lowered from exhaustion, but the swimmer hoisted them back up. No more waiting, no more watching others.

Honesty's right hand began to rise, the pillar splitting to about three thick sections. He spared at a glance at them and felt a pang of worry. He aimed for five or six liquid pucks, but his hand kept moving. His currently unbreakable gaze set right on the blond Agent, his pinky and ring finger lowering as the rest of his fingers stayed 'awake' and slightly bent. Pressing the knuckle of his thumb to the tip of his nose, something he did to heavily focus on the target or targets, taking in nothing but him and the attacks around him. Honesty completely checked off all open areas he could officially hit, but he only have three fat pucks floating in a wobbly line. Taking those open areas, the blue soul sifted areas prone to receive more damage and aim for them. Honesty, using all the strength he could muster and the 'power of friendship', turning his back towards the heart of the clash and firmly reared his foot back.

First target was higher than the future ones, so his ankle bent slightly as he lodged it against the water puck, a thick piece of his sole and side of his foot digging into the ground. It darted over the grass at high speeds, taking speed and propelling higher as it froze solid. Honesty immediately took notice the weird tingle in his foot and mainly his lateral malleolus from kicking the electrocuted puck, but if he kicked with that frozen, he'd for sure cause more damage to his ankle than the target. He shifted, his shoulders twisting first as his torso and finally legs followed. This move made him do a slight hop without having to turn in his combo because his foot twisted in the grass and mud. As his right leg turned to meet the waiting puck, his left foot hit the ground and kept him steady so he wouldn't become a spinning mess and fall on his ass.

Abruptly he lodged his medial malleolus into the next waiting water puck, a pressure wells even more so on his right foot. The element he can't really get along with... It was kind of like a mallet hitting the wooden spheres in croquet, except the pucks each had different ways to be hit and different wickets to violently rocket through.... Or into, in this matter. Honesty felt awkward as he nearest his last puck. He'd have to hop once more, use the affected leg to hold him up as he does a blind boot. Either way, his toes and feet would grind into the jungle floor, thus slowing him down, or stopping him and having him to flail his foot. The thrust of his left foot might miss or, if he magically hit the puck so blindly, it would surely fail to even near the Agent without the proper punt. His world was spinning from the sharp turns, and stumbling backward, he recklessly propelled the ice puck forward with his mind. This one was lower than the rest and hovered right above the blades of grass as it traveled towards the opponent. Hopefully no one runs into them.

Honesty held out his hands to catch him, but still found himself in a pushup position. He gasped for breath, his head pulsing from exhaustion. He quickly tottered to his feet, too quickly, he ended up with his toned back against the nearest tree. His legs strained as a small spark went up his calve, and he barely held his yelp of pain to himself. He was swearing in his mind. The male's own torso was a block of cement, and his limbs with tied with iron balls. [hate that word amg] The blue soul pushed himself completely onto his buckling knees, his left hand holding back at the tree as his feet was placed under a heavy weight once more. Honesty noticed the sprawled out water bottles that manged to escape from his still open backpack.

Catch your breath, you still need to fight.

Agent

The agent took this moment to straighten his tie, absorbing in his current situation. The new V was especially annoying with his yelling, well not as annoying as the first V. He promtly went to dodge the fireball casted at him, tilting his torso back ever so slightly. As the green soul girl went to slash at him, he dropped low, using his hands as a torque to deliver a low spinning sweep kick at her unprotected legs. He broke the poison thorn simultaneously, sending it upwards as a result for him to do a spinning 540° hook kick, before landing back on his feet.

The thorn shot through the air like a high velocity spear, flying directly at James' head. He was slightly flustered to think that people would still use slow-charged up attacks even when they're not practical at all. It was completely garbage. A short girl foolishly ran at him, of course he didn't expect soul-infested kids to learn from their mistakes. He sidestepped next to her, putting his leg behind as he sweep his foot up at her lower calves which would cause her to trip backward. He punched the poor girl consecutively three times as she fell back - hitting her stomach, torso, and head.

He looks back up, waiting to see if any of them would try and assault him again. He remained blasé and ran fingers, again, through his still-kempt hair. He looked at the pink soul girl, knowing that any psychokinetic attack directy on him would fail, and calmly walked over to the kid he was supposed to bring back. Her effort to creating a barrier construct failed when it all suddenly shattered into glowing particles as he touched it with his fingertip. A wave of energy would knock every soul user in the vicinity confused for awhile. He grabbed the kid straining to stand by the hair, not wanting to waste any more of his time with these kids. His eyes watched as three clumsily thrown ice pucks flew at him, shattering each of them with a precise punch before continuing to move.

His mind wandered off when he thought about what V would say in this situation, shaking his head when the annoying voice screamed out
"NOT TODAY WATER BOY EHHEHUHUHUAHAHAAHH"

Lexi's mind was awash with panic and confusion. One after one she saw her friends bravely standing ground and putting their utmost effort into fighting him, one after one, their attacks where foiled. He broke through Chantal's physic power wall, punched through Honesty's ice strike, not to mention dodging Kat's fireballs and countering the physical attacks against him. Sparks rolled down Lexi's arms, furiously sparking at her fingertips. Static made her hair rise slightly. Desperately she tried to think of a plan, or maybe just something to distract him. Extending her hand out to her fallen bag back, the remaining 11 light bulbs rose in front of her. Steadying herself, she flew each of these simultaneously towards the Agent, followed by a charged blast aimed directly at the Agent. As long as her charged shot is powerful enough, it'll not only hurt him she hoped, but it'll also reach out to the bulbs being close enough and shatter them.

James fell back to avoid the thorn, but that was all he could do for the moment. Maybe a bit of limit breaking would be good. He didn't have time to release in short bursts, but he did have time enough to do one point blank shot. He slowly made his way towards the agent, stopping just outside of reach. If the agent walked forwards, he would fire. If he did anything else, he would use all energy in his body and fire. Hopefully this worked. If not... James muttered "I'm coming to you, mom and dad..." James couldn't afford to miss... He crumpled, almost losing consciousness. "Almost there..." he murmured.

Valentina lay curl up on the ground. It hurt to move but she need to get up and help more she couldn't just lay down and die. She forced herself to stand, tears streaming down her face. She forced herself to ignore the pain and try to build up her powers, what good was she if she couldn't help. The more she build up her powers the more she hurts. Valentina bites her lips hard and tries to calm down and focus.

Ben stayed down, the moment she hit the ground she felt her head get heavy. She was close to the agent though, and she saw james crumple in her dazing vision. He has a chance.. ben stuck her hands against the ground and roots took hold of his ankles. Before he could move, more grew and pulled him into the ground just a little. She used all the energy the could get to keep them from breaking as she shouted "james now!"

James released his beam, waves of agony hitting him full in the face. The beam traveled at the speed of light, but he didn't see that. All he saw was darkness as his head hit the ground. He wouldn't wake up soon, and he might never wake up. All he saw was darkness. His last thought for a long time was Is this what death feels like? (Switching to first person as this is something his brain constructs for the time being.) I walked along the dark hallway, my eyes seeing only black. I remembered the shot... Damn that hurt! I would wait until my body worked again, but for now all I can do is wait. My body wouldn't wake up for a while. Unless Valentina can jump start my brain. But for now all my remaining electricity is focused on breathing. (This is not the end. I hope.)

@Idyllia He'll be stuck in a coma for a while, and may never wake up. Should I make a twin he didn't know about, or just one of his old friends so they know him?

Agent

With the pink soul still in his grasp, the agent waited for a moment to lower his extended arm down after he had precisely punched the ice pucks that was sent towards him and casually slipped his hand back into his pocket once more. The shockwave left everyone still dazed and confused and with this confusion would obviously screw with their minds, halving their damage and powers significantly. Not that it mattered, none of their attacks could hurt him anyway.

He was about to make his way off with the boy before an electrical shock jolted his hand causing him to wince a little and release his grasp from Cameron's hair. Now his hand went numb. Great.
"Ow." he merely said and shook his hand to get circulation back to it. A buzz was felt against his chest as his phone vibrated to signal a text message. He pulled it out with his other hand and fixed his eyes to the screen, kicking his feet casually to undo the roots that was trying to bind him.

Boss Man

Leave them and return. Now.

Guess it was these twerps lucky day. After idly kicking away the roots, he just slipped his numb hand in his pocket and continued to have his attention set on the cellphone screen. He turned his back on the group as if nothing has happened, walking away along the jungle's path and didn't even worry about the white soul's attack since it missed him as he moved.

Chantal looked back up at the agent to realize that the agent did something to cause her barrier to disperse but before she could make any theories on how he did, a blast of energy overcame her and hit her right where it hurt the most – the mind. Her head went heavy and she staggered in place, her hands reaching up to be placed alongside her temple. Too her, it was like a severe headache that she hadn't experienced before and made her topple forward, landing on her hands and knees.

It was either the aching feeling of confusion or the fact she hadn't eaten but she had then coughed, the contraction of muscles causing her to excrete the contents of her stomach just as she saw Cameron do before. She vomited until she felt empty and weak, a shaky hand reaching up to wipe away whatever bit was around her mouth and gazed up to see the agent taking his leave.

Chantal's head fell for a moment before he pushed on her hands to help her stand up, losing balance momentarily before she looked around at the other to see if they were alright then set her focus on finding Cameron. Once found, she limped over to him with a hand on her abdomen. The feeling of excreting washed over her again as she fell against the tree and excluded the bile that was nothing more than acid. She sighed once she was done and wobbly continued over to him, calling his name.

No matter how ill she was feeling, she had to make sure to remain sane and strong enough to help the group back to the safe house where they could be far from anymore harm.

Valentina watch the man leave, it seem that they had gotten super lucky. She coughs hard tasting blood. She looks at her hand...blood. She looks around nobody has notice and as long as she doesn't pass out, no need to worry everyone about. She sits and waits for everybody to get their wits back and see what will happen.

Ben closed her eyes, laying on the ground. A concussion, probably.. and she overdid it with her abilities. She didnt even have to open her eyes to see the holes in her hands and wrists. At least its over now.. but-

"Julie!" Why he was the first she thought of was unknown to her. She sat up too fast, then crawled over to him. She saw blood and became worried. "H-hey julie?"

The sound of Ben's voice snapped Julie awake from his trance, although he failed to notice her specifically. With his friends laying half-dead around him, he screams in frustration, bashing his head against the tree."Why am I weak, why?!" he cries, his blood painting the tree,"Why can't I protect my friends , even when I place my life on the line!?" Julie started to punch the tree, a sorry attempt at getting stronger. His fist bleed and bruised from the impact, but he continued punching.

"What the hell is justice, freedom?" he continued bawling,"What's the point of it all if there's no strength behind it?!" He gave one final punch that shook the tree, before tears streaked down, "I want to be stronger..." he howled ,"Strong enough so that I can fight for my rights." Julie bashed his head against the tree one last time, panting after most of his pent-up frustration had been released. He stands there immobile, feeling a sense of guilt that this was all was caused by his shortcoming.

Ben was unsure of what to do. She did what she could though. She hugged him. Sure it might not seem like much, but he proved her understood and feared like all of them. She was only glad to see him alive. Weak as he says or not, he is gentle and kind and the glue that keeps the group from falling apart. In that way, he was so strong it was a shame for him not to know it. Tears started streaming down, not of sadness as much as a strange sort of relief. He was okay. They would make it through another day. Even those injured, and julie had time to see he was strong

Honesty witnessed the smug opponent neatly re-adjust his tie, each breath for the blue soul a blessing and each second he remained standing a miracle. He quivered and shook, a feeling washing over him like an unexpected wave that didn't manage to push you under water. With a single harsh jolt, he could barley keep up with the movements of the agent. His mind a flurry despite his tired being. He realized something. They lost even before Cameron made the first attempt. This feeling of false empty hope spread through his sagging lungs, his mushy muscles, his swollen veins and aching bones. He always had a reason to fight on, fight on fight on. So this feel of nothingness, of devastation... Made him use his powers to keep the tears away from his eyes.

His body was still on the memo of 'lets go fight, fight fight fight' that it moved on it's own accord if anything. A hopeful body with a doubtful mind was even more a hassle to take care off, his eyes not able to look away from how he brutally took care of Valentina, the girl who now lay crumbled and on the verge of tears, or how he completely dismissed Chantal and her efforts. Honesty, for the first time, was thinking the exact words. What the hell was the point? They should've ran the moment Cameron carelessly rushed into battle. The hands that he owned trained and reached for the carelessly strung water bottles despite the exhausted state he kept persisting to push. Shoving the bottles of water messily back into his bag, noticing an idea his brain had as soon as he watched the agent smash easily through his attacks.

His right leg throbbed with pain, in time to the pulsing draped over his head. Beads of sweat ran down the sides of his face, breathing and panting like an animal as he hurried to get the task done and over with. Honesty watched with a desolate face as he went out strong with try to drain the thickest trees behind the Agent and the core of the struggle, but soon, he fell to his knees as thick spouts of water, twisting and morphing but not completely detached from their owner yet spotted from the trees. They rippled and shook constantly, reflecting Honesty's inability to even water bend anymore. The thick dumplings of water, about a body wide and a man tall, swayed side in different directions. Fat droplets of the water dropped from them as they became crumbling apart and turned into nothing but small water droplets that drenched anyone underneath.

Honesty watched as his water bending began to fail as assumed, then cursed this body who willed to go on. He was at his limit, he couldn't do it any more. He fell forward, his face hitting the earth and he immediately rolled over. Hearing Ben's familiar shout and flurry going on about him, it soon became a mush and blur. Any and all noise came to his ears like they were uncased in water. Damn, if he was going to die, he wanted his ashes thrown into an ocean or something, even though that would be against the law. Honesty's head swayed gently, his eyes going blank. He held loosely to his book bag strap. Fuck this shit... He couldn't even feel frustrated as he started drifting into unconsciousness.

His body tensed from the sudden hug, turning his body slowly to see Ben crying and caused his complexion to soften. Julie rotated his body to reciprocate the hug and nuzzled his head against her neck as he continued to weep. He wrapped an arm around her frame, pulling her closer to him and felt more of her warmth against his own. Even though he didn't exactly understand, it was comforting to hold her. His fingers caressed her hair, gently grasping it as his cry started to deepen.

Bens tears turned to a silent sob. She felt comfort from his arms like for a moment all was right. "I just need you to not die on me... okay?" She mumbled near inaudibly. When his crying got louder and his finger ran through, ben felt what he was holding in since their running away started. She realized why she cared about him so much. "Your gonna be okay.." she whispered again.
