It took a while for Chantal to calm down from crying, her head hanging low and blonde hair hugging the frame of her face. Shaky sighs were released from parted lips as she scanned the lower have of her body momentarily, leftover tears falling gracefully from her chin on to the skin of her thighs. Cameron spoke to her again and it caused her to look up at him.
Yes, he wasn't dead, yet, but there were plenty of times when he had been close to reaching that point. Fighting to protect the group was all fine and all, but there were other ways of just springing into action and throwing your body recklessly at the enemy. The girl sighed when he was done speaking and shifted her body to be on her hands and knees, crawling closer towards him from the bed.
“You say that you want to try to reciprocate the feeling,” Chantal said while she moved and reached the edge of the bed. Using whatever telekinesis she had left in her, she moved the rug underneath him to bring him closer to her but slow enough so he wouldn't fall. Once near enough, she extended her hand to tug on his pants to pull him even more in the vicinity of her and rose on her knees so they could be somewhat eye level. “You say how how some of the time you've experienced were the best because of me, how everything becomes possible with me at your side,” her voice turned into a whisper, wrapping her arms around his neck to bring her face closer to his.
Hands caressed through his hair soothingly as she looked him at, her pink hues were bright as ever as the area around them were a bit tired and swollen from crying. Chantal didn't know what she was doing at the given moment but she felt as if this was the best time to just let her emotions naturally flow and take control over her actions. More so than the first time they had shared their first kiss in V's apartment, the new surroundings being far more adequate. She moved one of her hands that was caressing his dark colored hair to gently place it on his cheek, rubbing the skin ever so faintly with her thumb.
It was clear that he was still tired and hungry, they both were and after their mini bonding session, she mentally promised at they would get some rest and food in their systems. Moving closer so what their lips could touch slightly, she spoked as her lips grazed upon his. “But these are just words, Cameron, and actions speak louder than a thousand words combined,” she stopped to peck his lips before continuing. “Can't you try to show me how much your words mean? They sit heavy on my heart, but if you just try and show it,” another peck. “Then I'll know that they ring true.”
Chantal leaned back a little bit to furrow her eyebrows at him slightly. “Things are horrible and I'm losing hope here, but that doesn't stop the chance at all of us being happy. Don't you want to be happy – with me?” Her eyes moved around his face to search and wait for an answer. Even if their relationship failed, like he said, she would never stop loving him as well and hoped that the time they've spent together would help him more throughout his life, to be happy with or without her in the picture.
