Fantasy Soul Secrets

It took a while for Chantal to calm down from crying, her head hanging low and blonde hair hugging the frame of her face. Shaky sighs were released from parted lips as she scanned the lower have of her body momentarily, leftover tears falling gracefully from her chin on to the skin of her thighs. Cameron spoke to her again and it caused her to look up at him.

Yes, he wasn't dead, yet, but there were plenty of times when he had been close to reaching that point. Fighting to protect the group was all fine and all, but there were other ways of just springing into action and throwing your body recklessly at the enemy. The girl sighed when he was done speaking and shifted her body to be on her hands and knees, crawling closer towards him from the bed.

“You say that you want to try to reciprocate the feeling,” Chantal said while she moved and reached the edge of the bed. Using whatever telekinesis she had left in her, she moved the rug underneath him to bring him closer to her but slow enough so he wouldn't fall. Once near enough, she extended her hand to tug on his pants to pull him even more in the vicinity of her and rose on her knees so they could be somewhat eye level. “You say how how some of the time you've experienced were the best because of me, how everything becomes possible with me at your side,” her voice turned into a whisper, wrapping her arms around his neck to bring her face closer to his.

Hands caressed through his hair soothingly as she looked him at, her pink hues were bright as ever as the area around them were a bit tired and swollen from crying. Chantal didn't know what she was doing at the given moment but she felt as if this was the best time to just let her emotions naturally flow and take control over her actions. More so than the first time they had shared their first kiss in V's apartment, the new surroundings being far more adequate. She moved one of her hands that was caressing his dark colored hair to gently place it on his cheek, rubbing the skin ever so faintly with her thumb.

It was clear that he was still tired and hungry, they both were and after their mini bonding session, she mentally promised at they would get some rest and food in their systems. Moving closer so what their lips could touch slightly, she spoked as her lips grazed upon his. “But these are just words, Cameron, and actions speak louder than a thousand words combined,” she stopped to peck his lips before continuing. “Can't you try to show me how much your words mean? They sit heavy on my heart, but if you just try and show it,” another peck. “Then I'll know that they ring true.”

Chantal leaned back a little bit to furrow her eyebrows at him slightly. “Things are horrible and I'm losing hope here, but that doesn't stop the chance at all of us being happy. Don't you want to be happy – with me?” Her eyes moved around his face to search and wait for an answer. Even if their relationship failed, like he said, she would never stop loving him as well and hoped that the time they've spent together would help him more throughout his life, to be happy with or without her in the picture.

She chewed on the inside of her bottom lip, drawing a small amount of blood. She ran her fingers through her hair, continually before she finally stood up shaking her arms by her side and groaning loudly into the open air. She removed her robe and had on a tan loose fitting razor back tee with purple boy short panties. She sat her robe by the door and almost ran through the house, finding Cam's old room. She stood there for a moment, listening to mumbles of people talking. "eh?" She shoved an ear to the door, with a smile reaching both ears. "Don't you want to be happy - with me?" She shoved a hand over her mouth. Were they having a moment? Was he about to get the puss? Was she going to dare interrupt?

She made no time shoving the door open and staring, with the same smirk as before, With both hands on her stomach a roaring laughter escaped her lips, her maroon eyes filled with water. "Oh God." She continued, now stomping her feet, "You and her?!" She squatted down and placed her face in her hands for a moment, trying to calm herself, she wiped the tears that seemed to be falling from her face and smiled, "Her? Cam, really? Maybe it's a weird sister thing, but seriously." She sat there squatting and smiling, with the occasional laughter falling from her mouth. "She almost looks like mom did, when she was that age." She stood back up, and grabbed hold of the door knob, her teasing smile turned into a sarcastic smirk, "But I'm sure he'd love to be happy with you." She slammed the door shut as she left.

Katarina shrugged and extinguished the fireball. Intimidation hadn't worked, so it's true. Maroon souls are not afraid of anything. While Katarina was mentally noting that, she thought it was best not to get to know this girl pretty well. Last time everyone befriended a Maroon soul, she attacked one of our own. No Maroon soul is truly good on the inside. Katarina thought to herself. But why is this one letting us inside her home? Why hasn't she attacked me yet? She must be calmer than the others. Katarina walked over to the fridge and opened it, looking at the contents inside. There were many things in the fridge, and she even swears that she saw a severed head in the back of it. She quickly grabbed the milk and closed it. Her mood has changed since she woke up, Katarina felt great. She had a sudden burst of energy from the encounter with the girl. After sinking into her thoughts, she noticed that Valentina and James had joined her in the kitchen. Groaning, she hurriedly made her bowl of cereal and went into the other room. She didn't feel like talking with anyone else, she still felt guilty.

Katarina sat down, head in her hands. She didn't want to act very depressed, so she thought back to the good memories with the others. The fun scary movie and quickly afterwards, the food fight. She smiled, then went a little back more to the first day this all started. At school. She was being dragged around by Ben to comfort James, then bugged by Lexi. Very late into first period, Honesty walked in. Jane was eyeing him and Lexi was waving for him to sit down by them, and of course, Katarina groaned. She hated all of the buzz around her, how almost everyone in her homeroom class was a Soul. She didn't realize how fast they would become her best friends. Smiling, she thought of the beautiful day at the sanctuary in the forest. That was fun, James played music and swirled around balls of light to make a show. Ben and Julie were bonding in the forest, as expected of the two green souls. Soon after, Katarina had a short swimming lesson with Honesty. She shook her head at the memories, noticing her face was getting red. As she took another bite of her cereal, her eyes roamed around the room, clearly amused by the beautiful mansion. This may be their best safe house yet.

Katarina's thoughts were wandering, she was thinking of random things all at once. It was bound to give her a headache, but all of her thoughts settled on one thing. Her mom. She quickly became frustrated again, due to not being able to ever see her mom. Sure, Katarina hated her mom, but she still loved her in a way. She had great memories with her mom when she was sober. Katarina furrowed her eyebrows, thinking of ways she could ever see her mom ever again, if the government hadn't already killed her. She was sure that the government already knew her identity, so the closest thing to her was her family. Her mom wouldn't know where Katarina could be hiding, but knowing the government, they would think that she was lying. Suddenly, Katarina wished she could set up telepathic links with her mom, like how Chantal and Cameron can with each other. All she wants is to at least say goodbye. Katarina gently brushed through her hair with her hands and let out a deep breathy sigh.

Julie stood still, his dark hair being weighed down by the water as he simply let it do all the cleaning for him. Standing in the shower was always a good time for some soul searching. His resolved to become stronger, how exactly would he go on approaching that here? Simply becoming better at controlling your powers won't amount to much without experience and knowledge of how to fight. The incident yesterday had been an eye opener for Julie, of how much stronger everyone needed to be.

Cameron's rad flip kick thing and Ben's skillful exchanges refreshed in his memory. Asking them about fighting first would be reasonable, although he also remembers clearly that none of that mattered to the Agent regardless if they were tired or not. He began a mental image of a fight between him and agent, ingraining the swift kick that knocked him out effortlessly. Regardless he would still end up losing in another way even after dodging or blocking the previous attack. He didn't even know how to begin to imagine winning.

Well whatever, he was hungry now and there was plenty of opportunities to become stronger. He turned off the water and stepped out of the shower, grabbing a white towel to dry himself with. He ties his hair into a ponytail with a rubber band as he exited out his room, wearing a simple white short-sleeved tee and black pajama pants, which was what he usually wears at home. He walked barefoot down the hallway until he saw Mollie slammed the door shut to some room. Who was she again? He scratched his head when he was unable to recall.

He mindlessly began to open doors as he looked for the kitchen. Most room for empty except for the ones who were still sleeping. He avoided the room Mollie slammed for no apparent reason, he just didn't feel any compulsion to open it. He spots Honesty aimlessly limping around calling out names, causing him to raise a brow. "You okay..? Everyone's fine and well, hello..?" Julie flicked him on the back of his neck to grab his attention. What a lost puppy.

Valentine finished up and begin to clean up. Once she was done she stretched and yawned before wondering what to do now. She look around the kitchen most people were asleep, being lovey dovey, or just ignoring each other. She sighed and peaked outside. The day was lovely and she need to get away for everybody. She looked down at her clothes, she could just wash them.

She quickly left the house and went out on the peer. She walked to the edge and stared out. It really was beautiful here and she was glad they made it. She stared at the water before shrugging, why not. She slip into the water with little noise and began to swim. As she swam Valentina begin to think about how life really did bullcrap her.

She got to the middle of the lake and floated, tears falling. She was lonely, they all were. Her tears increased at least they had family, at least the were going to fall in love. She saw the signs and it pained her. For all her bravery, she really didn't have anything. No family, no place to call home, no love, just herself like she always did. She wondered why nobody love her the way she wanted, not even her parents, who had abandoned her even before her soul came out. Soon she swan back to the peer and just stayed there, not wanting to go inside.

"Fricken sun.." Lexi groaned, she couldn't take the sun's assault on her closed eye lids anymore. Swinging her hand she used her power to move the metal rings of the curtain to cover that one spot where the sun was beaming on her. She only figured out how to do this new thing with her powers during that fight, no time to refine it, the whole curtain rail went flying across her room landing with a crash. "Oh well fuck you too!" she mumbled at the sun which now had full access to her face. Dragging herself to the shower, she let the hot water wash over herself, for several minutes before doing anything. Afterwards she studied herself in the cloudy mirror, pulling a smile on and watching it fade.

She left her room dressed in a light top and shorts and walked around the house. She smiled weakly entering the kitchen for some food, grabbing some apples she left again before anyone could notice her and began to wander around. She found herself outside, staring out over the beautiful crystal clear lake, oddly wishing she could swim better. That's when she noticed the lone silhouette over at the pier, squinting over, Lex thought it looked like Valentina but she couldn't be sure. Caught between wondering if she should go over or leave her be, she wasn't surprised when her feet lead the way towards the lonely figure. She scooted down next Valentina, silently she offered her the second apple Lexi took before munching on her own.

"We don't have to talk, I don't think anyone is fit to right now, but here, you should eat this at least. I always take more than one apple when they're available. Especially when its red apples."

She grabbed it with a silent thanks. "You know Lex everyone's falling in love. Even in such terrible times, people are." She sighed and torn a big chunk of apple off. "I can feel it and it makes me so lonely, I never been in love, never had a crush either but right now I would give anything to be in the arms of someone who loved me." She stretches getting cold. "I've always been a hard person to love ,even my parent didn't love me, I don't know why but I am maybe I'm just..." She trails off and finishes the apple. "Sometimes I blame my soul color, don't know why but I think that had I'd been any other color, I would have been loved." Her eyes are dry. "Don't go telling anyone I told you this, I want to remain the happy-go-lucky girl of the group because no else will," she get up and smiles,"ok."

James finished his apple and headed up to the room he was in. He looked around. It looked like something homey. Something... Like his old home. James pulled the curtains, turned out the lights, and began to work on his light. There wasn't much to do, but hey, what else could he do? He didn't have anything else. So he decided he could go down to the water... The light looked better there. He walked downstairs, seeing that there wasn't anyone else. He remembered an old recipe of his parents... Sour cream twists. Maybe he would make that sometime. It would remind him who he lost, and keep him focused. He then opened the door and walked down to the lake, away from Lexi and Val. Before he knew it, he was on the other side. He began to shoot little balls of light into the water, and it looked cool. He remembered the little place back where it all began. And he remembered the light show... Did he still have his laptop? No. He still had around $3,500 in his account, which he would have used to pay for his apartment. Maybe he would buy another computer.

Lexi listened carefully to Val. She pretty much mirrored Lexi's thoughts, about everyone being in love, falling in love. "Y'know what? I think those same things. Look around what do you see in our rag tag group? I see Chantal and Cameron in love, like, the forever kind. I see Kat blushing when she thinks no one see's when watching Honesty. There's Ben and Julie, at the awkward cute stage of maybe realizing how they feel." Lex tore three large bites from her apple before continuing. She chuckled slightly and turned to face Val, her legs swinging gently over the water. "You? Unlovable? I don't believe it. Not for one second. You, my dear, are easily one of the most lovable people I've met. Well I for one, think so," Lexi at this tossed her apple as far she could and watched it bob for a few seconds before glancing back at Val, her blush hidden behind her hair and got on her feet beside her.

Ben finally decided officially waking up was a good idea. She slowly and silently opened her door and shut it, making sure not to bother anyone. Her muscles screamed, telling her she overused her gift. Though, how could she not? It only proved that training was needed. She felt as useless as a sack of rocks bolted to the floor yesterday. She wanted to work harder. Maybe ask for a sparring partner. Somebody who would never go easy and whos intensity was overpowering.. but something told her cameron wouldnt be willing.

She stepped into the hall and slowly made her way past the kitchen to what must eventually be the door to outside. She could grow something to eat while training. No need to burn more daylight.

She grinned," I knew someone else saw it too, I mean how could you not, all these teen hormones kicking everbody butt." Valentina stood up with her. "I bet you even like someone..hmm like me guess it's James isn't it." She nods. "I know it's him you two are sort of opposites and opposites attract right." She laugh and tugs Lex inside. "You know I'm grateful that you think I'm lovable, I don't believe you but it's nice to hear. You know Lex you're like the sister I never had or never knew." They being to walk inside when she spot James and nudges Lex. "There he is, you should totally go over and say hey."

"Right, well whatever then." Julie said, giving Honesty a firm grasp on his shoulder before he had a chance to respond. Honesty can wait later, he was more concerned with simply eating as he made his way into the kitchen. He watched as Ben went outside as he followed into the kitchen, shame. He was really hoping to talk with someone while he eats but he guess it wouldn't matter. He began to rummage through the cabinets and fridge for some food, his eyes zoning in to some gogurt in the freezer. He took one and ripped the plastic off with his mouth before continuing to look through the kitchen with the new steady supply of yogurt streaming into his mouth.

He decided on just a scrambled eggs, bacon, and toast breakfast since the ingredients were readily available. He fished out two pan from the cabinet as he started to look for spices and seasoning. He was impressed at how well equipped this kitchen actually was and began the cooking process that won't be described in detail. Julie gave the eggs a quick taste before shrugging, it was manageable. He tossed a knob of butter in there for body before finishing up with a pinch of salt and pepper. The bacon and eggs were just simply done without anything fancy. After being satisfiedwith the result, he poured out a cup of milk and began speedily eating in the kitchen.

Ben peaked from behind her, spotting Julie. Maybe he would spar with her? No, getting food. She turned around reluctantly and crept close the the kitchen door, tempted to ask if he was willing when she thought about the realization that she had the other night, after the fighting. It was embarrassing, and she was unsure if she could chat with him after that. She opened the door slowly and felt her hair nearly stand on end, dumbest thing leaving her lips. "Hey ih.. buddy. Wanna spar later?"

Katarina soon finished her bowl of cereal, trying to clear her irritated mind. She went into the kitchen to put her bowl into the sink. Who's going to do the dishes? She asked herself. Probably Honesty, as he was all about water. Katarina wanted to talk to Honesty, but she understood that he didn't feel good due to the demon possession. She noticed that Valentina had left the kitchen and was talking with Lexi out on the pier. Shrugging, she spots Julie. "Hey Julie, how are you holding up?" Katarina asks him, concern filling the air. She sees his breakfast and automatically grabs a piece of bacon and munches on it, making excess noises as she savors the taste in her mouth.

She hasn't interacted with Julie much during their journey, only a few times. He's always come across as very serious to her, and he's always around Ben. Katarina wasn't one to interrupt things, especially when she thinks that Ben and Julie look very cute together. Katarina turned her head, looking at Ben. Speak of the devil, huh? She smiled and nodded to Julie, grabbing another piece of bacon as she watches them converse.

"Duuudee!!" She bumped shoulders with fellow yellow soul. "I don't think I've even said anything to him! Unless you count me telling him about there being bodies in that room.. ALSO I haven't spent enough alone time with anyone to actually begin to develop any, y'know, feelings like that." Lexi was caught off-guard by the sister comment, she even stumbled over her own feet. "I had um, two little sisters before.. Ciara and Allison, I couldn't protect them like I should have." Tears welled up in her eyes but she did smile at Valentina. "That's sweet of you, thanks." She gave her a brief hug before turning her thoughts back to James. "Oh you are not serious, damn you're serious aren't you?."

"Fine, better than yesterday for sure", he raised his eyes at Kat taking his food, but he guess he does that a lot too so he let it slide. He gave her a friendly smile as she made that weird noise, it was really weird sounding but he didn't mind. "What about you?" he asked, also concerned about her well-being. It was not as if she was safe from the stress they all had went through, but it seemed she was healthy and doing well. "We haven't exactly talk much huh." He acknowledged, but he didn't mind if they started now or later.

After Ben entered the kitchen, Julie turned and gulped down his food, letting out a long sigh as he managed to swallow it all,"Spar? Yeah we can definitely start after a couple of minutes." He answers before tossing his plate and fork into the sink and began hand-washing everything his friends left over. He felt the urge to ask Ben the same."Are you doing okay? You sound a little funny." Julie asked, placing the plates and utensils on the rack before turning to look at her. He started drying his hands on his pants as he waits for their answers. He looked forward to sparring, it was a chance to learn something.

She grinned, "well now you can get to know him ok." She called James over waving frantically. "I'll even be your wingman. I mean don't you think he's lonely too, nobody has shown him any attention. You two would be good for each other just trust me." She smiled and continued to wave, even if they were desperate situation she still wanted her friend to find love. She conjured a little electric heart and made it thump.

Ben nodded shortly, then looked at kat, cheeks reddening. "Fine. Ill be out side when you're ready.. s-sorry for interrupting." She half smiled and left. Her largest urge was to tell Julie what she was thinking. Maybe she could apologize for her thoughts, be forgiven and bury the subject under forty layers of meaningless conversations and half assed spars. He looked better. She showered the night before so the dried blood was gone, though she lost some color and weight. Hopefully she looked overall better too though, so they could all move on from the events.

Hearing familiar voices, Honesty's eyes dared to tear up. Why the fuck was he so emotional, it was just a dream. Water bending his tears away before he become too emotional that they could tell, he made sure to calm himself and take a load off his ankle. He hissed mentally, holding onto the wall a little. He felt himself again, that's for sure, but his ankle was slight a bit screwed from the electricity. He evasively stopped putting so much weight on his healing foot, wobbling over to the others.

Katarina watched as Ben walked out of the kitchen. Ben was hiding something; she was stuttering a whole lot and her movement was very awkward. Yes, she was a shy girl, but she never really acted like this. "I'm fine," Katarina said, looking over to Julie. "Yeah, we haven't talked much. Everyone says you're a pretty cool guy though." Katarina thought it was good to befriend all in the group, as we all had to work together to stay alive. They always had to have each other's backs no matter what, since the world seems to hate them due to their genetic mutation. Katarina's thoughts roamed to the same area when she thought about the government. We didn't choose to be this way, to have powers. We were born that way. We can't change it, even if we wanted to. She pulled herself out of her thoughts and turned her attention to Julie's reply.

He nodded as Ben exited, deciding to follow her out not long after. "Yeah, I'm pretty cool huh." Julie answered smugly, not exactly sure if anyone really says that but it didn't really matter to him. He excused him from Kat,"Shame we couldn't talk more, but we can save it for later." as he started making his way outside. He didn't bother putting on the shoes since he remembered something more important that sparring.

Julie took a step out the door as he spots Ben, waving her over,"Ah I forgot. I promised to look at your injuries when we got here." He waited by the door for her to come over, prioritizing her health over becoming stronger. Getting stronger is one thing, but it was better to take care of yourself first since they weren't in any rush to train. "We'll go to my room since I have the medical supplies there." he told her with an inviting smile, although he didn't really understood the implications he was giving.

Ben leaned against a tree, waiting. He seemed casual. He probably would be freaked out if she said anything. She sighed and smiled to herself. Well, what could one do but fight to survive and start ignoring. She looked at her hands. Pieces of torn flesh loosly wrapped. They would lack use for a bit. A stupid move on her part, but she could still practice.

Her eyes trailed to Julie and she nit her lip, lowering her eyes at what he said. Well, he did promise. She, too naive to get anything else from what he said simply nodded. "Sure.. sorry. Then we can practice.. right? I have some stuff to show you." She offered, a bit shy. She didnt want to suggest he needed the training.

James walked over to Val. Damn, that girl wanted him to come over there. So he put out his light, walking over. James was a little nervous. He'd never really had a girl friend, romantic or otherwise, and he was always a little nervous around them. He pulled out a little light and played with it as he walked over. He then turned to Val and said to her, "What needs my attention, Val?" He was really hoping it wasn't one of them personally... But with his luck, it was probably them.

"Oh I don't but Lex here does." She can't stop her giggles from coming out and gave him a warm smile. "You see we really don't know that well and would like too, or rather she would like to get to know you better." Valentina kept a straight face and accidentally pushes Lexi closer to him while giving her a thumbs up. "Well I'm still hungry so you two have fun now." She skips away her laughs trailing behind her.
