Fantasy Soul Secrets

Julie groaned,"What happened here?" he asked Kat, struggling to get up. His head was spinning, not sure if the others felt it but a disturbance reverberated through his body. This was probably caused by the awakening of a Lvl 2 nearby, although most of them wouldn't know or notice.

"Did you feel that?" he asked her, surprised seeing her not reacting. It shook his core causing him to collapse again.

Thanks to Tina's energy drink, Honesty felt a little bit better. But Two or three days of this? Yuck... He clumsily fell to his bottom, sighing heavily and trying to stay calm and awake. He didn't like the taste of the drink, but it was helping slightly, so he took a few long swigs. He wished he had something to lean against.

Valentina laid on the ground, her stomach having hungry pain and a terrible feeling in her heart that wouldn't go away. She had been overjoyed to see Ben and Julie but couldn't stop Ben and Chantal from going. She groan and rolled on her back looking up at the sky. She hated this town and really wished to leave.

James cradled his elbow... "Shit!" That really f***ing hurt... Goddamn. He grabbed his stuff and paid for it, then he left. He just needed to heal that before it set. "Gotta get to Valentina... She'll know what to do." James felt the power of something travel through his body, and he collapsed... Right on his other elbow. He got to his feet, and looked around. Where was Ben and Julie? He leaned against the wall until he could get back to the group... Then he decided it would be good if he found the others. He looked around... Sigh. It would be awhile before they got here.

Chantal nodded at the girl. She entered the supermarket, earning stares from the customers and employees but whom didn't seem to care about their arrival. She brought up a hand to her chest to feel the beating of her heart as she tried to single out every sense available to narrow it down to the connection her and Cameron had together. Focusing on which ways he had been, she followed her telepathic perception. She walked through aisles he had been only to stumble across a passed out James, his arm twisted in an horrific manner. With a loud gasp, she called Ben over to her.

“Ben! I found James,” she cried and ran over to the boy. Kneeling over him, Chantal hovered her hands above him cautiously, not sure if she should touch him in such a state. Needless to say, he looked absolutely horrible. She looked up at Ben. “You should stay by him. Tend him if you can.”

Just then she heard a loud scream come from the distance – loud enough to ring in her ears – causing her to quickly stand up. Her ability to sense Cameron was beginning to fade slowly. She raised a hand up to tell Ben to stay with James and ran off in the direction she heard the yell. With Cameron's link fading from her senses, she could only speculate only one thing. Chantal held back her tears and a sob as she rushed through the supermarket's backdoor, running through the long corridor and back outside. She stopped for a moment to catch her breath, cursed at the wind and noticed a building not to far from where she was.

The faint sense of Cameron pointed drew her attention towards it and so, she took her chance and ran to it. Entering the double doors of the building, she didn't stop and just followed where the dying feeling took her. As soon as she came face to face with a beat up door, the sense she established with Cameron died out completely and just then, she didn't want to see what was on the other side. Her hand reached for the doorknob, lingering as she paralyzed with fear for a moment and twisted it. Walking inside the apartment, every sense in her body melted and her mind went blank. Cameron.. was dead. Right in front of her.

She wanted to scream but couldn't, instead a small chuckle merely escaped. “C-Cameron?” his name rolled off her tongue in a whisper.

Travis was rotating in place using his place, he was waiting to leave this place where the thing happened. He saw Ben and Julie come back, but the other two didn't. Chantal then went with the female Green Soul to try and find while Julie stayed, exhausted. This caused the Yellow Soul to sigh again. "Can't we ever catch a break?" He asked no one in particular again. Realizing that everyone must be exhausted, he held up his backpack. " Does anyone want some pastries and bottled water? I have some right here." He offered to everyone.

Ben ran into the building, finding James. She bent down and grabbed him, carefully avoiding his elbow. "Sorry.. we took too long." Pulling the boy onto her back, she followed chantal and saw the body. Everything started turning dark and hazy in her vision. Her fault. Could have helped. An inconvinience. Inexcusable and now cameron paid. She tried to breath but it didnt feel like it would work. "Chantal. I am bringing James back. Join me when your ready." She said, slowly and too calm. She couldnt touch her, too scared. She wanted chantal to scream at her, say out loud what they both knew was true. What was in front ofthem.

Sheturned around and sprinted back tothe home with jamessecure on her back. She pounded on the door, dropping on her knees but keeping James in a secure position.

"We kind of did a Ouija board and released a demon named Emma that attacked me and possessed Honesty. Also, Valentina performed a perfect exorcism." Katarina said, with a smile due to how crazy everything sounded. Julie shook, and asked me if I felt whatever he felt. "I don't feel anything." She said, raising her eyebrow. Julie shook once again and he collapsed. Katarina ran up to him and asked, "What's wrong? What are you feeling?"

"Ugh, I don't know it felt like a wave hit me" Julie rolled over on his back, staring up at Ben who just returned with the injured James. He could see how terribly bruised and twisted James's arm was,"Where's Cameron?" he asked. He struggled and pushed himself up on his elbow,"Can you look at James' arm?" He pushed his bag toward them, there should be some stuff in there they could use. Though...a ouiji board demonic possession? No comment.

Oh, this was just fucking LOVELY. What was Cameron going to do now? His throat hurt, he was tired. He was in an entirely new body, which he just found out much to his dismay, and somehow CHANTAL had found her way to him. What!? How does that even work?? Literally, this was the worst thing that could have happened. Not to mention the fact that she was now staring at his old, dead body. She whispered his name. What was he going to do? Let her believe he was dead and go on living his life as a sad, miserable, different person. Without her. Or he could take a chance and probably fail miserably. He picked the second option he had, because at least there was some small sliver of hope if he did. There was only one way he could truely go about it, though.

She had just walked through the door too. What if he was V and just murdered her? Probably not the best thinking. But, back to the topic at hand... Cameron, in the body of V, continued leaning against the bottom of the couch, pink eyes staring up at Chantal. If that didn't give his presence away, as well as what he was about to do, then nothing would. Any sort of inkling of a relationship that was starting, any type of relationship they had. Everything. The first try was a telepathic shout.

"Chantal."

His arms tried pulling his body up to his feet, but they kept collapsing.

"Chantal." This time, he said it out-loud, trying once more to lift his body up by way of pushing his palms down into the cushion of the couch behind him, but his feet couldn't hold. He dropped right back down to his butt. His teeth were gritting, sweat beginning to form as he tried to lift himself up.

"I'm not dead yet. Don't count me out so quickly."

Ben didnt really pay any attention to Julie except a brief look of horror and concern. She got out the first aid kit and started feeling his arm. Broken. She made a hard splint and wrapped the offending appendage without a word. She picked james up and laid him on the bed she slept in. Eyes glazed over as she thought about what she saw.. all the events. Poor Chantal, she could have done something for the girl but- her train of thought left her staring at james blankly.

Katarina nodded and grabbed Julie's bag. She calmly walked over to James and looked at his arm; it was a horrific sight. Looking over at Ben, Katarina was worried because she suddenly paused. "What happened out there?" She calmly asked her, yet with a slight curious tone. Did they go through as much as we went through? Or was it even worse than what we went through?

Julie had fallen asleep, blacked out to be more exact. His face kissing the floor, everything in his body was screaming in response to what he felt. It was like his soul had been shaken, trying to tear out of his body, the vessel that contained his power. He was past his limit again, this stress made him more susceptible to the event that Cameron triggered out of his determination to survive and tenacious mentality, not to mention sheer luck.

Bens eyes stayed locked in place for the longest time. Blood turned dark brown on her face made pale skin look eerie. How would one explain it? Her dads there to kill her and his men are easing in. She let her own stupidity keep her from watching james and camerons backs and oh god. How horrible james looks.. cameron is.. hes..

She never made eye contact with her friend. She wanted everything to disapear, but that doesnt work like that. Kat asked her a question and whether or not she is able to say anything time is still passing.

Chantal couldn't remove her eyes from Cameron, now deceased in her perspective. His body looked like it was eaten by hell and spit right back out; his was just a mangled up body of nothing. Her mind was still blank and void, traumatized by what she was witnessing at the moment, but her body moved on it's own. As if what she felt for Cameron – affection, adoration, et cetera – was the fuel to make herself take a step forward, she absently placed a foot forward as tears started to overwhelm her. She called out to him again, foolishly hoping he would respond or move, just to do something to show her he was still alive.

Chantal. Her name echoed in her head faintly and took her time to process it, taking her by surprise. The only person who could talk to her telepathically was Cameron, but he was dead, wasn't he? She stopped moving to blink in confusion, tears sticking glazing her eyelashes. The more she thought about it, the more she started to freak out but still contained a bit of hope. If she could hear him with her mind, then that meant he wasn't dead! Unless, she was going crazy.

The girl stared at the body, however, until she heard her name aloud this time. Startled, Chantal instinctively turned towards the sound of it and saw a person struggling to stand up. She wiped the tears from her eyes and crept closer to whomever it was, which was hard to do since the figure was shrouded in a black suit and his hair black as midnight. Words echoed in her head again as she noticed, very briefly, the bright pink hue of the person's eyes; who she know figured out was a male.

But it could've been anyone, perhaps another soul like her and Cameron. Perhaps he could establish com links just as easily as they once did. She wasn't going to take her chances. She stopped in her tracks and brought a hand up to her chest, eyes averting back to the dead body and back the mysterious unknown male. “How do you know my name?” she asked meekly. “What do you mean you're not dead yet?”

James grimaced. Why did the government hate them so damn much. Holy hell... That hurt. And it was his right arm, too. Guess he would have to work with his left. He tried to summon light, but only succeeded in a small sphere. About an inch around. He would have to work on this constantly, otherwise it wouldn't work.

@Idyllia

I'll roll 3 six sided dice. On a 10 or less (50% chance) he wins once. He needs 12 wins to learn how to use powers with one hand

"I know your name?" He said with a scoff. "These days, I practically live it." He let out another growl, sick of looking at his dead body. He had to get out of the room before he had a mental breakdown, but his legs weren't cooperating. They were beginning to get better, with time, but they weren't cooperating at full capacity. Just an after-affect of what had happened and readjusting to a new body, which he felt was abnormally stronger than his own from the get-go, but the thought was hidden behind the shock of what was going on.

Cameron was still in shock, but that shock didn't trump Chantal. There was nothing that beat the thought of her.

"The first day I met you, was in the same place I met the rest of the group. You saved my life, and I saved yours. You - " He placed his hands onto the fabric of the couch, trying to push himself up, but he fell back down to the floor. "..." Cameron let out a sigh, taking another deep breath. He found that he didn't know much about the girl, something he had to try and change. A little alone time would probably help, something that he was looking forward to doing when they got south, originally. Now, he wasn't so sure the girl was going to bother giving him the time of day. Was there anything he could do to convince her that he was what he said?

His nose twitched. His muscles flinched. Cameron's next attempt on puching himself up to his feet was successful, but it was hard to balance himself out while he stood there. Whatever the case was, he was standing, and that was much better than being a paraplegic.
"I told you once before, if you go, i'll follow..." Those pink hues of his stared right back into hers, as he stood there, rickety as anything. Then, his right foot moved forward to take a step, followed at an extremely slow left. When he got close enough, he ripped the armor off of his hands and placed them on her face, before he pressed his lips against hers, lustfully.

If nothing else, she would be able to feel the sincerity in his touch.

"Ben?" Katarina said with more concern in her voice. She hugs her lightly, hoping to make her feel a little better. She didn't know what she saw, what she was thinking about, or what was wrong, but she hugged her nonetheless. She didn't mind if Ben didn't want to tell her what was wrong, but Katarina really just wanted her to speak to her, or to continue working on James' arm.

Ben flinched lightly at the touch. Sort of shaking her back into the real world, she looked down slowly at the first aid kit. James's arm was splinted but minor wounds were untouched. Slowly returning to autopilot, dulled eyes scanned for bandages and antiseptic and began cleaning him up again. Slowly her thoughts nearly disappeared. Simple things to focus on until they had to leave again, like fixing James.

The more the mysterious male spoke, the more Chantal's mind began to reawaken as if small lightbulb were turning back on. After having just seen the dead body of someone whom she cared for deeply, it was only natural she could recreate a shell to protect herself and not trust whoever this was. For all she knew, it could've been an incognito enemy following them and this was their time to strike. However, as words continued to roll out, she soon found herself in sudden realization.

Cameron? Chantal thought to herself as stared carefully at him, watching as finally stood up with some struggle still. Of course, she remembered his promise he made to her, how could she ever forget. Their eyes locked and he started to make his way towards her with difficulty.

“If you go, I'll follow.” she softly whispered to herself as he finally made his way to her, removing his armored gloves and placed his hands on her face, tilting her head upwards so their lips could touch. At that moment, she just knew it was Cameron and the tears started to flow down her face once more. Seeing how this was her first kiss, she didn't exactly know how to reciprocate so she allowed her feelings to take over and did anything that came naturally.

Her partly puffy eyes closed as she reached up to wrap her arms around her newfound soul pair's neck to bring him closer and opened her mouth slightly more to allow him in, returning back the lustful gesture as equally as she could. Her cheeks reddened and tears danced off her face as she immersed herself in the kiss, holding back cries of relief she deeply wanted to let out. The hands that was around Cameron's neck, dangling gently, found their way to his dark-colored hair and ran her fingers through it. Letting her feelings take over her body was so comfortable and natural.

She established a mental communication link between them in the process. “Count you out? I wouldn't dare.

[Has everyone gone with Ben and Chantal to find Cameron??]

Lexi was stretched out on the patchy lawn outside their latest hide out. She was unusually quite, thinking about everything that has happened. normally she would have gone with the search party to find Cameron and James but she wasn't in much of a mental condition to be anything but a burden to anyone right now, best she sit this expedition for now. She gratefully took Travis up on his offer of some water and a pastry.

Watching the others leave, she noticed how Chantal used her powers to boost her as she walked/bounce towards the department store. She thought again, how she heard snippets of Cameron talking about everyone being able to control their powers, to use them better. She frowned at her own hands thinking to when she was considering shocking Honesty until he passed out to protect them, did she really know how much she could control? Or the damage she could cause? Mulling it over, she stared at her hands, watching as sparks danced across her skin. With an idea formed in her mind, she suddenly jumped up from where she had been sitting and strolled purposely into the house, taking care to avoid the blood and the room with the bodies in it, she went into the kitchen and rummaged around for some light bulbs.

Finding two neat packets of ten, she walked outside again. Placing a light bulb 15 feet away, Lexi began experimenting with what she can control. What she had in mind to do was hold a gentle stream of power directly at that bulb, she only wanted to light it. To test how much or little of her power she could control at at time. With her first attempted, the light bulb exploded. It wasn't until her 7th light bulb did she manage to hold her stream of power at that one bulb and light it how she wanted. Dim or extremely bright. Maybe it wasn't that useful but she had a grasp on how much it took to overload something, and just enough to have it work in her favor.

Isn’t this just completely romantic? Here they were, doing what they do, surrounded by four walls that were littered with blood and his last body, which was lying in a pool of its own. First kiss? Cameron couldn’t think of a better place. He moved pretty awkwardly with her, his eyes opened while hers closed. She was busy, but he needed to make it out that door. And so, as they continued macking it up, Cameron’s leg kicked open the door to the apartment and moved her outside after it flung open.

He used his other leg to shut the door, before he turned Chantal’s body slightly and pushed her against the wall, making sure not to hurt her in the process. Cameron continued intertwining his lips with hers for now, mostly because he didn’t want to stop. Closing his eyes, Cameron kept going as if nothing ever happened.
“Looks like I’m turning into a bit of a damsel in distress, though, aren’t I?” This statement/question was accompanied by a rather large smile gracing his features.

His top lip, which was between hers at the moment, would be switched in with his bottom after Cameron turned his head to the other side. That was something he always did, as a way to keep things fresh. His hands slid down from Chantal’s face, moving down both sides of her frame until he got to her hips. He broke the kiss soon after that, resting his forehead against hers while his eyes peered down at the ground. Cameron was nerve-struck a bit, but he was alive. And so was the girl that he needed in his life.

“I love you.”

Both of his hands moved hers from behind his neck, his fingers locking with hers as he pulled her hands to his mouth. He placed two small pecks against the back of both palms, before his left hand let her right go. Using the one hand that was still holding hers, he began moving toward the direction of the staircase, so they could both travel out of the building and start heading back for the others.

She had to admit, this wasn't how she expected her first kiss to play out. Surrounded by blood, Cameron's old body, apparently, severely disfigured and maimed still up against the wall when she first entered... yeah, definitely not the perfect surrounding to be in. That being said, Chantal was relieved when she felt Cameron move them out of the apartment, her eyes still closed and their lips still pressed intertwined.

Despite all that had happen and what she had seen, this was a nice calm after the storm, especially neither of them didn't stop, or want to stop, kissing each other. She was forced against the wall then and she arched her back slightly from it to further so her body could come in contact with his somewhat. The male's words was heard in her head again and she smiled into the kiss as well.

As Cameron deepened the kiss by moving his head to the other side, Chantal couldn't hold back a small moan - especially when hands started to move down her sides; stopping at her hips. The kiss broke off and his forehead rested against hers. Eyes still closed, the last few tears ran down her cheeks and her lips were still slightly parted. Then it struck her like a bullet to the heart. Did she hear correctly? He loved her?

Her cheeks' red tint intensified and her eyes opened, eyelashes still damp from the tears. She was dumbfounded, watching him move her hands to place kisses on the back of her hands. However, could she expect no less? After all they've been through together and having an instant link towards each other when they first meet, should it be that he loved her? And that she loved him too? Valentina was right after all.

Chantal snapped out of it as Cameron started to head towards the staircases and she ran in front of him, her left hand still in his hand. She placed a hand on his armor chest in hopes of stopping him momentarily so she could ask, “Wait a minute. Are you okay to walk? To move even?” She looked in his eyes, searching for any type of signs that signaled if he was feeling ill.

“I don't know what exactly happened, and I'm not ready to ask how, but you just got into a... new body. Don't you need time to get use to it?” she sighed, letting her anxiety bubble to the surface again. “I just don't want you pushing yourself. Not after...” she trailed off, looking away.

After fixing up James, ben looked towards Julie. He was out cold as expected, face down. She moved towards him slowly, grabbing a blanket as the did. The girl green soul lifted up her companion with care and laid him on bedding on his back, covering him. She sat down against the wall and watched james, then julie

Julie slept soundly despite having his body dragged across the floor, such little disturbances wouldn't bother him. He nuzzles in the warmth of the covers, trying to regain his energy more efficiently. He lays silent on his sides, drooling on the side of his mouth as it trickles down his cheeks. Julie wasn't a graceful sleeper by any means. His brow furrowed as his dream became more resolute.

Julie stood in the middle of an open field, the breeze caressing his hair and loose shirt. He didn't know what was going on at this point, squinting his eyes across the horizon. When he took his first step, the ground violently shook, but Julie kept his serenity as a tree began to grow in front of him. A tall, towering tree with branches that could potentially home a large city.

It was overwhelming, but strangely felt natural in the open like this. Its leaves glowed a green shine, as if they were made of light itself. Julie watched as its enormous roots absorb the nutrients and life that this field had to offer, it was only natural yet he didn't know he knew. He could just feel energy flowing through the roots that gave its leaves radiance. He tried to shade his eyes as the leaves themselves began to fall down, like orbs of energy as they enter back into the ground. It was a cycle, that repeated itself over a long progress. Each time, the field was greener and the leaves brighter. Time passed from years, to decades, to centuries as Julie just stood and watched. Nothing had aged but he could sense of the course of time flow by in the dream.
