Fantasy Soul Secrets

"Well you can help if you want." She hands him a few ingredients. "These will make some good biscuits, I've all ready pre-heated the oven." She looks at Ben, "It's the least I can do since you protected me and you weren't useless at all, you were probably the bravest person I've ever seen. Here," she hands her some orange juice," to wake your mouth up."

Not to mention, Honesty has some mean bed head going on. He nodded with Ben. "To be honest, you don't look like much of a hero type. But hell, I'm not a hero myself." [He could have been if RPnation didn't flunk out.] He mumbled gently, his mind wandering for a moment. He sighed happily. "The food better be top notch Tina, or I'll be disappointed~" Honesty said smugly. He was a pretty mean cooker, according to her and his biggest fan, Julie. He noticed that Kat walked over. "Oh! Surprised me. Morning Hot head." Honesty said, walking out the kitchen and grabbing his bag. He was gonna take a shower, and he didn't really dig the reusing clothes gist. He could just wash them with soap and drain them from their water. Ah, the luxury of being a blue soul~

Ben weighed out what they said and gave a helpless shrug and smile. "Okay.. Im not hungry. Be out for a bit." She said shyly. "Thanks anyways Tina, you are really really nice." She said as though speaking everything in her head. She sat by the door and tied her shoes on. Food smelled good though..

"Good morning, Ben, Honesty, Valentina." She says while graciously taking the phone and dialed her mother's phone number. After a few rings, she answers. "Where were you last night?" Her mom says into the phone. "I was at a friend's house." Katarina stated. After a silence, she hears a man's voice start to say, "Karen-", but it was cut off as her mom hung up. Katarina sighs and gives back Ben's phone and sits on the bean bag.

"I really hope Lexi doesn't mind the mess..." She says, acknowledging the whipped cream, cake and ketchup lingering on the floor. She jumps up and decides to clean up at least a little bit, it's all she could do to repay for the hospitality. I definitely wouldn't want anyone leaving a big mess for me to clean up, if this was my house. Katarina notices Ben leave the room as she gets the supplies to clean up.

"Ahhh don't be gone too long cause the food might be gone and please check if that weird dude is still out there." There's flour on her hand and a bit of everything and she places the biscuits in the over and goes to make some coffee. "Morning sleepyhead," she directs to Katarina, "sleep ok?"

"Yeah, slept fine." Katarina said, gathering the cleaning supplies. "I hope the food tastes as good as it smells!" She takes a deep breath, smelling the delicious food.

Chantal over heard Valentina's comment and turned her attention to her from the window. "His name is Cameron and he's certainly not weird, alright?" she slightly snapped at the girl and looked down, embarrassed.

She stared at the girl before grinning. "Oooh somebody got a crush." She laughs,"I'll stop teasing, didn't mean to insult your "guy" friend. Just a bit strange he is, nothing wrong with that either." She hands the girl some hot coco,"drink,I promise it will make you feel better and a bit more energized."

Ben walked out and down the street a bit, hair covering her face. Each step she took created a hypnotic rhythm in which promoted thoughts to flood her mind. Next time.. she would keep everyone together as rule one. Julie being hurt was bad enough. She would make sure nobody was overworking themselves. Ben would take over for anyone at the drop of a hat though.. so it was a bit hypocritical. She would be stronger over all.. train in any way. They would have to leave soon too. Maybe then she old become someone reliable and make up for the day before. It was scary but.. no excuse for what happened. Thinking about it, she found every mistake.

Eventually, Ben sighed in defeat. She was far from the apartments after her thoughts broke apart and she figured she might as well bet started immediately. The roads were clear of people and officers which was nice. Already wearing running shorts and shoes, she was prepped. Ben started her watched and sprinted in a nearby park, careful not to arouse eyes or suspicion in any way.. though it didn't seem logical that attention would be drawn.

As his fingers brought the cigarillo down from his lips, his tongue escaped to provide some moisture to them. That was when he heard Chantal's voice his stream of consciousness. The corners of his lips curved upward into a large smile, opening his eyes to the concrete below his feet. "Hey." This was when Valentina came outside, with a joke. When she mentioned the marijuana, however, he apologized. He didn't want to be rude, it was never the case, but everybody had their own way of calming their nerves. With all the issues that generated anxiety in his head, chain-smoking was a horrible habit that helped him take his mind off of his life from time to time.

He offered a small wink in response to the girl's comment, immediately after Chantal spoke. His gesture meant nothing more than what it originally was intended to mean. Putting out the rest of his blunt, he flicked it into the darkness before turning by the female and walking inside. Peering through the living room, he found that not many people were left. Chantal was still on the couch, so Cameron thought he'd capitalize. Cameron moved from the front door, over to the couch beside Chantal and sat down. Wrapping his arms around her midriff, he would move the female slightly so she was leaning more on him. Resting his chin on her shoulder, he nuzzled his face into her neck by use of his cheek as she was handed the hot chocolate.

"I hope we can get some sleep soon." He let out a small sigh after mumbling into Chantal's neck. Coffee was definitely necessary.

Honesty, walking out the bathroom and as fresh as a daisy, noticed the love in the air. He stared for a moment, squinting his eyes as he made his way to the others. He had comical tears rolling down his cheeks, looking rather grumpy. "... Maybe one day a beautiful blue soul will swoop down... And we'll just cuddle in the currents forever." Honesty wasn't serious about the crying however, it came out one of those really thick crying waterfalls you see in anime.

Valentina begin to place the food on the table, keep it cover so it wouldn't get cold. She then sat at the table and drank some coco. "I know no hot yellow soul, is going to find me, all the yellow souls I've met have been really young or girls. I know I should have been a pink soul, it's such a pretty color too." She yawns, "anywho, anybody that wants to eat can come and get something."

With her eyes still casted downward, Chantal regarded the girl's comment. It wasn't a crush, it was just... she didn't know how to describe it, actually. It was certain a form of affection but probably because she finally found someone who she was like her and connected with her. Wait, wasn't that how crushes start though? A faint blush crept on Chantal's cheeks as she thought about the possibility and had increased in tint when she felt the weight of another person sit beside her, a pair of arms circling around her to pull her closer to them.

She felt the person tuck themselves close to her neck, feeling the softness of their cheek press against her skin. Absently, she accepted the offered hot chocolate and smiled a little when she figured out it was Cameron. His remark about sleep reminded her that she didn't get any at all last night and she presumed he didn't either. She looked down at her hot beverage and moved it towards him using her hands as a gesture of offer. “You should take a sip. I'm sure it'll give you a bit more energy,” she said, turning her head slightly towards him so that her head could rest on top of his a little.

“After all that you've done, I'm sure it can be a better pick me up than whatever you've been smoking earlier.” said Chantal with a small chuckle after having smelt the fumes still lingering from Cameron.

"Ah, finally!" Katarina exclaims while running up to get food. She's cleaned the whipped cream and other foods from the ground and she's become terribly hungry.

As she ran, she saw the woods they were in covered in yellow caution tape. She entered through the trees and kept cover as she saw few SEP and a couple official but unarmed men. One had a file with the picture from the news in front. Out of curiosity Ben approached until speech was recognizable. A bearded man in a black suit was talking to a younger one in a dark blue.

"-school without finding any of them. I don't know how they managed to get past our patrol but they are making it evident they wont submit. Its getting dangerous."

The blue suit cut in. "This place is heavily populated with their disease. No way at least one wont get turned-"

"They have families that will protect them! Even if we catch some, these kids are shown to be violent. Ive got a plan here and a back up copy. Now if we send out guards to patrol all reentering or entering new cities we have a better chance of finding them. Here Ive marked our locations and specified spots to pat- hey!"

Ben saw him turn in her direction, without seeing her.

"Theres someone out here?! Come on out!" He looked around and Bens chest thumped heavily. a root lifted and tripped him, sticking him in the ankle with a sharp branch.

"Rick you alright?"

"Yeah, geez.."

He turned away, not noticing the dropped file. She slowly reached out for it.

"Maybe you're right."

A small whisper, before he removed his right hand from around her waist. Placing his fingers around hers, he moved the mug closer to his lips and tilted it slightly to take a sip. Then, he removed his hand from hers, placing it onto her right thigh. When she rested her head on his, he took a deep breath. What were they going to do, now? Cameron wasn't so sure. They weren't going to just sit around in a room for the rest of their lives, that was one thing he did know. And how long would they be safe here?

Despite all of these questions that were currently unanswered, Cameron felt oddly comfortable. The girl beside him seemed to have this weird power over him, something that he definitely wasn't used to, not unlike a siren with way more positive reprocussions. Nor was he ever, really. Turning his head a bit to press his lips against the area of her neck under her ear, he would slip from behind her and stand up.
"I'll be right back. I've got a cup of mud with my name on it." And that was when Cameron moseyed on around the couch to move to the kitchen. Instead of making his presence known, he immediately moved to the coffee maker and began setting up what he needed to. Not exactly knowing where things were, the young man had to make educated guesses in order to find the appropriate materials needed. He didn't want to bother anyone for such trivial things.

Travis was hidden in another tree near the edge of the forest, he has been tin the forest all night without sleeping; the dark circles under his eyes. Sticks and leaves were sticking out of his hair and his clothes were ripped in places. When morning came, he attempted to try and escape the forest but stopped as soon as he saw the yellow tape surrounding it and a few law enforcement, including S.E.P. “Okay Travis, don’t give up. You have managed to survive for this long, so there's always a way. Think, think!!” He was planning on various ways to get past them when he suddenly saw a girl out of view from them too. “…Is that? Yeah, one of the Souls! Was she here all night too?” He thought as he slowly and quietly climbed down and move from tree to tree. He managed to get behind a tree closest to her. “Psst, Psst” He whispered to her as discretely as he could.

As she reached, one of the men swiftly turned around and saw her. Her grabbed her roughly by the arm and yanked her out. Well shit.

"Ive got one! A green soul! Kill it before it can act." He called out for attention. She grabbed his wrist and pulled him near, turning him and shoving a foot hard enough in his chest to knock him out and topple on his friend. She grabbed the file and stuffed it in her bag to see a small troop of SEP pile in. Double shit.

She sprinted up the tree, hands and bare legs scraping against tree bark in a sloppy scramble as the tree guarded her. Branches wrapped around some guards who were slower and they suffered from mildly toxic thorns. Others she couldn't get shot at her. Too fast to avoid, she was slipping from the tree. In a swift act of stupidity, thought and "if Im gonna fall might as well take them down with me"ness, she aimed, toppling into the remaining two men and knocked both of them down, one gun falling away. Another loaded and aimed. Without moving, she had a root system pulling him underground and half way to hell. No way to get out of this though. She heard another.. a soul. Without looking back, she gave him a signal to leave.

Her lips parted slimly, but formed a small smile, as she felt the male beside her place his fingers on top of hers and took a sip from her hot chocolate like she suggested. They closed instantly as soon as a hand fell to her right thigh, however, the sudden gesture throwing completely off guard. Even still, it was a nice feeling so she didn't make a bother about it. Chantal frowned a bit afterwards, feeling Cameron breath deeply against her body. She knew he was still upset about what had happen preceding and knew he still wanted to do something about it. After all, they couldn't all stay in this apartment forever – though she wouldn't object to the opinion. There had to be something they could do instead of fight but knowing everyone else, they'd rather take up Cameron's advice and start training to become strong and hone their powers.

Her mental trance ended once she felt lips upon a small area under her ear, causing the unforgivable red tint of fluster to reappear on her cheeks. A nod, most likely to herself, was shown as acknowledgement when Cameron stood up and reassured her he'd be back after he made his coffee. Hastily, she sipped some of her hot chocolate but forgot that it was actually hot, burning a small portion her tongue and the roof of her mouth as result. She cried out quietly and brought a hand up to her mouth, covering it as she turned towards the window again to avoid questions on her clumsiness.

Chewing the inside of her semi-burnt cheek, she spoke to Cameron telepathically: “I – Uh – Can you bring back some ice for me to... suck on when you're done with your coffee? I kind of forgot the definition of 'hot chocolate'.”

Cameron blinked a couple of times, the coffee machine ringing once in order to indicate that the brew was ready to be poured. Listening to Chantal speak, he didn't give her a response. After making his coffee the way that he liked it, Cameron was sure to grab a spare cup to put some ice in from the freezer before he removed himself from the kitchen. Within moments, he was walking around the couch once more and taking the seat immediately next to the young woman. Handing her the cup of ice, he placed his mug of coffee onto the small table in front of it.

Without another word, the pink soul would move to the nearest bathroom that he could locate. When he was searching for something to cover Chantal while she was sleeping, he happened to find out where it was. Closing the door and locking it behind him, Cameron's fingers reached for the sink and turned the knob in the appropriate direction to get the water running. This was nothing more than an action designed to make it seem like he was doing something different than what he actually was about it. Lifting an extremely small baggie from his back pocket, he would remove the pill inside. It was anxiety medication, designed to take the edge off of the user. Crushing it up by means of pressing his cell phone onto it, with applied pressure the pill turned into nothing more than dust. He grabbed one of his cards belonging to his wallet, along with a dollar bill, and you know the rest.

He rolled the dollar up, scraped the powder into a large line, and snorted it all up.

Making sure his face was clean, he left the bathroom and returned to his seat beside Chantal. Cameron leaned forward, resting his elbows on his kneecaps. Lifting the coffe from the table, both of his hands would find their way around the cup, which was generating a fair amount of heat. The aroma along with the temperature created a combination which he found nothing less than pleasant. He brought it closer to his face as a result.

Did she really just burn her mouth with a hot chocolate? Chantal was definitely not feeling herself if she was making all these careless mistakes and honestly, she didn't like it. All her life she planned things out accordingly and took careful steps in what she was doing so she could excel and have her existence trip on clumsy bumps. Ever since she started feeling a sense of fondness, it had messed with her mindset. Whether or not it was her actually being a girl of her age and experiencing 'feelings', she didn't like how it was messing with her.

She stopped thinking negatively when she saw from the corner of her Cameron exit from the kitchen with the cup of ice she requested along with his freshly made coffee. Turned to face him, she grasped on to the cup when offered, watching him place his cup on the table in front but made his way to down the hall, assuming to the bathroom. She frowned a little and picked up an ice cube with her finger, and inserted it in her mouth, the cold sensation sending shiver throughout her body but provided instant relief from her silly burns.

It seemed like a long while before Cameron return once again and finally sat beside her, resting himself on his knees with the cup in hand. She was on her fourth cube when she faced him, sucking on the ice quietly and leaned closer to the male. Placing a hand lightly on his arm, she asked, “Are you alright? Feeling exhausted again?”

"Oooooh, cool." Travis muttered as he saw the older girl kick the S.E.P's butt. Judging by the fact that plants were used in their downfall, she was a green soul. Her methods in taking out the soldiers made him cringe, he wished that fighting wasn't the only way. She seems to have acknowledged him, but she gestured him to leave. It sounds like the smart thing to do, but he wasn't sure if he could leave her behind, even if she was a competent fighter. He ran away, but hid in alleyway near the forest just until he made sure the fellow soul would get away safely.

Feeling Chantal's hand on his arm, followed by the collection of words which flowed off of her tongue, Cameron brought the coffee up to his mouth once more. After taking a sip, he replied. "I'm still exhausted. There has to be an open bed, especially with all these people up... Maybe we should go find one." Oh, what a beefy male. Always taking charge, that Cameron. He finished his drink, placing the empty mug back onto the table before standing up. "I know you can use some too. C'mon, we'll go find an open spot." Cameron offered Chantal a small smile, expecting her to follow as he started his search once more. It may have seemed, at the moment, that Cameron was full of energy, but it was practically the complete opposite. He was so far gone, as it was.

Opening one door, he found that it wasn't a bedroom. Another led to the laundry room. The third, finally, was a spare bedroom. It was made up, though obviously slept in the previous night. How could it not have been? Walking into the door, he requested that Chantal close it behind her before diving on top of the mattress. Moving to the furthest side from the door, he immediately buried himself under the covers and flipped his pillow around. Turning onto his side so that he was facing the door while he was lying down, he spent somewhere close to five minutes just staring at the girl who had entered with him. He was excited. Every time he thought of her, since he met her, his heart raced. He felt clammy at times, his adrenaline spiked. She had been genuinely exciting him, just with her presence. That, coupled with a slight fear of seperation anxiety from the one person he knew he could trust (weirdly enough, considering they had just met), all mixed to generate an experience like no other. Cameron dosed off with a feeling of content to match the look on his face.

Cameron didn't really give her a choice in the matter of finding a bed for them to rest together with, especially with that little smile he gave her which sent tingles down her spine. With the cup of ice still in her hand, Chantal hesitantly stood up and followed the male, avoiding the others and not paying them any mind. She laughed to herself as he picked the doors which led to anything but the bedroom, although, it wasn't until the third door was claimed victor and opened the way to their destination.

She entered the room after Cameron, closing the door behind her and stood next to it for a while. Where they going to sleep together? In the same bed? She obviously wouldn't mind sleeping on the floor the combination of the bed and him in it was all too inviting. The grip on the cup tightened. As he made his way towards the bed and got under the covers, she noticed him staring at her, their eyes locking for a brief moment before she looked away and waited for him to fall asleep; which wasn't that long.

Chantal walked over the side of the bed that wasn't preoccupied and placed her cup on the nightstand close to her, reaching up to fix her hair into a loose bun and stripped off her light cardigan, leaving her in only a white tank top and her red skirt. She sat on the edge of the bed and remained still for a while before shifting her body to be underneath the covers as well. She must've been extremely exhausted because once her head hit the pillow and her body engulfed by the softness of the sheet, she almost instantly knocked out herself.

But before doing so, she turned to her side to face Cameron and smiled. Again, she couldn't describe the feeling but being next to him felt unbelievably comforting and a little part of her never want to leave his side – as cliché as it sounds. Her eyes closed, her eyelashes brushing against her upper cheeks and she dosed off with content.
