Fantasy Soul Secrets

Valentina yawns before rubbing her belly. Looks like she had way to many berries. She looks around at all her new friends smiling widely, mouth stained purple, this had been a really fun day and she was reluctant to leave. Yeah they had school tomorrow but she just wanted to stay a forest princess with all her friends. She got up and stretched, needing a drink she walk over to the pond.

"I see." His eyes moved from the sky, back down to her. "Something is going on. No point going back home now, is there?" The words escaped his lips, asking no one in particular, but the entire time he spoke his teeth remained gripping the butt of his cigarette. When she mentioned Julie, Cameron turned his head to look over at the young man. "As I remember it, Julie is a good guy. Interesting name, but all the same." He shrugged slightly as he turned his attention back to the female. They all were going to have to fight. That's what it came down to. Cameron wasn't sure exactly what hiding was going to do, but it was a huge possibility that all of the people who surrounded him weren't ready to.

Fight. They needed to establish themselves as people who would not be stepped on just because regular humans didn't understand the nature of their genetic mutations. Fight. To abolish unfair practices. Fight. In order to stop hiding their eyes, who they are and what they are, they needed to fight. His hands moved from across his chest, one grasping his cigarette and removing it from his mouth. His teeth clenched down, grinding slightly against each other as he continued to hype himself up. The souls around him were seemingly in a state of contempt when they should have been riled.

"So, are we just going to... Stay here and wait to see what happens? Or are we going to get out and actually try to shape and mold the populous' opinion of us by fighting to survive?"
Cameron didn't want to kill anyone. However, when it came down to someone else being killed or him being killed, he was going to choose the former. Not the latter. "Just because we all feel safe around this pound, in the middle of a forest, doesn't mean they aren't coming for us right now." He audibly had increased the volume of his voice, to reach anyone who could hear or would listen.

Listening in to what was being said, Ben got up and approached him. Her eyes were lowered and she pressed her lips together. She wasnt sure why she felt the need to answer his speech with something. Maybe because such thoughts plagued her for years.

She replied in a small and calm voice, "we cant wait.. or spend anymore time dodging bullets.. and from what ive noticed it seems our.. erm condition of sorts is changing to that of something larger. I feel if we defend and formulate a way to assert our combined strengths and perhaps prove we mean no harm in such a group.. while also proving we could do harm.-" she thought about her own words and grinned at how childish they must sound, "it could work.. but we are living in a known hotspot.. so if we work together HERE we wont make it."

Julie heard Cameron, but he didn't have to, he knew what Cameron was thinking about the whole ordeal. He understood, he wanted change with all his heart. The only thing that held him back was himself, his fears. It was his moment of weakness, he secretly hoped that things would fall into place by themselves. He didn't want to abuse his powers against normal people, he didn't want to rely on his powers to settle things like this, but sometime you have to make people see things with force. What Cameron said opened Julie's eyes, his resolve was stronger than before. If it came down to it, Julie had no problem to beat some sense into the government, a thorough revolution for their rights. They were still children however, he didn't want to drag themselves into something so large. They needed some guidance. He sat up, looking over at Cameron with a determined gaze and then at Ben.

She peeked from above her book at Cameron spoke, his voice gradually getting louder with each sentence. Chantal agreed – sitting around and just waiting for something to happen wasn't the best opinion, but what else could they do? The last time she tried to fight and stand up for herself resulted in her being nearly uncontrollable with her new founded powers because she didn't have the proper training in combat or controlling her psychic “gifts”. As much as she hated that she was constantly on the run from S.E.P. and was disgusted by the authorities, avoiding conflict and not hurting innocent bystanders was her ultimate way of thinking.

“If we go out and try to shape what people think of us by fighting, don't you think they'll misinterpret our actions? Attacking the authorities, being rebellious – it'll cause even more ill thoughts of us, wouldn't it?” asked Chantal. “I understand that sitting around isn't the best option but what else do we have? We have no experience of fighting or properly using our powers.”

Noticing Ben approach, she peered down into her book, indirectly removing herself from the conversation.

"Fighting I don't know anything about fighting." She walks closer to Cameron. "But I do agree that I guess just sitting here won't help us. I mean we almost died during that eye exam." She sigh

Alex jumped out of her trans when she heard Cameron. She got up without a word and walked over to the group forming. Nodding in agreement, she spoke, "Not to mention that the more we're around each other without a known common purpose, the more likely we are to kill each other." She referred to the incident from earlier and crossed her arms. "I'd rather not die anytime soon because of an eye color," she added looking around.

"We dont need to kill or injure.. really." It was one thing she hated. Ever since.. she shook her head at the memory that proved the authority's could be monsters.

"But we could train to defend ourselves and push through to confronting the SEP nonviolently unless provoked to simply stopping them.. we are strong and just for i reason i think.. and from how we evaded them earlier, imagine how we could do it. We were all creative in preventing getting caught." She offered to those who didnt want blood shed.

"Fighting?" Jane says, opening her ears more.

"We're fighting? Can we fight?" She says in her giddy innocent voice- which doesn't sound like something a little girl would say.

"What are we fighting?" Jane asks again, eager to join in

((Sorry, just woke up and I'm going to California in like 30 minutes :P ))

Lex had been pacing back and forth in her little apartment waging war with herself. After taking time out to digest today's events she's been thinking furiously what to do next. She was very concerned, with such a large amount of coloured souls in one place everyone is in danger of getting caught. What if it was a trap? What if this was all planned? What if someone was watching her right now?! With a squeak of terror from Lex, the light bulb in the room leaving her in a semi lit room. "This is what I get for freaking myself out." she grumbled to herself before catching her jacket and heading out the door.

His nose crinkled up. He was angry about the situation, but he was level-headed at the same time. Listening to everyone talk before chiming in once more, he felt a sharp pain in his jaw from the amount of time he kept his teeth clenched. "We train. We combat the SEP if they want to attack us, and show them that our lives will not be given up for nothing. If we act, we do so in the name of all those who can't act for themselves. We do it for our right as human beings, just like everyone else's. We don't need to cause chaos, take innocent lives of the people doing their jobs, but we need to do what we have to do in order to prolong our lives.

It's not about being children anymore. That excuse won't work here. If we put our heads together, we can do anything. We have the power. I don't know any of you that well, really, but I could tell you..."
Cameron's fists shook slightly at his side, clenched. "If you're with me, I can personally ensure with my own life that you all will live!"

He raised both of his hands. One continued holding a fist, the other opened. He slammed both of them together, signifying that he was ready. "There's no more time. We start training now." And what better to do so, with a couple of rifled SEP members making their way through the silhouette of the forest, toward the pond?

Bens eyes lit, sensing the crunching of grass, pressure of feet on roots. Heavy and organized. She became stiff and hands rosein that direction, vines and weeds climbing and tugging their legs only to be hacked at. It was enough to know who they were now. "..they've found us...." she whispered.

Listening to Cameron gave her a sliver of hope, but Chantal couldn't bring herself up to wanting to fight, let alone cause any violence. She was torn – fight for her rights or die trying – and she didn't want to die, not at all. Even with the finest training, one hiccup could possibly screw everything up. With her attention still in the book, she stood up and closed it, looking around at the small group that was forming. All be said, she was afraid. She would be throwing her life away and for what?

Turning her eyes to the riled up male, she frowned and turned on her heels, determined to make her way back home. “If you guys want to train and throw away your lives, then so be it. I won't have any part of it, I just can't,” she said to the group, but directed her voice to Cameron. “I wish you luck.”

With her farewell, Chantal started to walk away onto the path home until she heard movement coming from the distance. Was it the S.E.P? Her face whitened and knew sticking around here was a bad idea.

She was walking, where she didn't really know. She had to walk to clear her head. Once she noticed crunching under her feet and and the shade of the tree's had engulfed her she took notice of where she was and smiled. Of course she'd end up here, this wood had a calling for her ever since she came here. Paying attention now she scrambled over some rocks and taking care not to stumble over and tree roots. As she was nearly her destination she could hear voices. Eager to see if they belong to the group of souls at school she hurried to enter the clearing before something caught her eye. she dropped to the forest floor her heart pounding. S.E.P's were spreading around the clearly, at least 3 were in her range. She panicked, clenching her fist against the damp earth. The footsteps went by closer to the group of voices. She had to warn them, but what can she do without getting herself killed? Looking up from her hiding place she saw one enter the glade and draw out a small firearm. Throwing aside caution, she lept up and caught his arm, she sent shockwaves down her arm to him, causing him to grunt in pain and drop the weapon.

Valentina freeze up. "No, I mean I though this was a safe haven." She looks around before looking at Cameron. "You're so serious but I feel like you're the best chance we have to live, so I'm with you." She never fought in her life but she thinks as her hands curl into fist maybe it's time to start.

Realizing how little she was needed, Alex pushed past the others and walked off. She went to the front of the school to the parking lot and scouted out her car. Leaving her things at the school, she cranked it up and pulled out of the parking lot and off school grounds. She drove around town for a little bit, thinking about anything and everything. I'll drop out of school. The thought crossed her mind several times, but she didn't know if she could go through with it.

Ben sprinted into the woods without warning. Eyes practically lanterns in the darkening woods. She ran up a branch that lowered itself then hovered above them. "Hey! Looking for the Soul kid? On a little patrol!" She yelled to distract, fake cheeriness in her voice and made a branch barrier as they shot. "Wow.. how do you expect to kill us like this?!" She prayed others would catch onto her plan.

Lex was panicking. She only ever got into a fight with her powers once. When the S.E.P tried to break free from her grip she increased the power. Her eyes began to illuminate as they did when her power was used as much. He started to wither in her grasp, dropped to one knee before his eyes rolled and he passed out. Frightened at what she done she pushed it out of her mind and ran into the cleaning, bursting in on what seemed a tense talk, "S.E.P'S are out there, One is down but i dont know how many more" she gasped.

Ben saw Lex and the SEP started to shoot. Ben swiftly grabbed her and pulled Lex into the trees. "Hey there. Relax and give me a moment. Good job by the way."

Lex jumped when she was grabbed but recognizing the face from earlier she did relax. It was the Green, Ben. "Thanks, what's going on here? Wait never mind that, how will we get out? I don't know if i can do that again." Lex was speaking quietly but she was also hugging her sides, what she did took a toll on her.

"I could make a path for you.. if you feel okay to run and warnthe others.. but it seems safer for you to hold tight and ill help you leave after im done with them. Sound alright?" She said with ashaking voice but a smile.

Ben made sure Lex was well hidden and she leapt down in frontof them. "Whelp. here i am. A kid. great job really, but tell me can you still shoot?"

As expected, they shot at her and she was sheilded again. Slowly, roots climbedup their bodies, loose enough not to feel. They climbed up their guns and she ran around like a fool, messing with them. What the hell was she doing?!

Lex stared with astonishment at the courage this girl showed as she leapt from her hiding place. Thinking about it for only two seconds, she took a breath and caught up to Ben. "I am not leaving you alone out here, if you're fighting then so am I." her tone was surprisingly even but her jaw was clenched tight. She wasn't leaving Ben out her by herself. Lex took a deep breath and steadied herself. Her power came from her, and she was a very energetic person.

Bens shoulders shook with fear and her eyes were watering. She still grinned through. Never having to do anything like this before she felt young and scared. "Thanks! Im restraining them as we speak. You send a small voltage to knock them out when i say so.. okay?" She said, keeping and eye out. One SEP tried to move and ben tightened the roots that covered him and broke thw weapon.

"What the-" she other gaurd was escaping and thoroughly distracted.

"Lex now!"

"Tsk" Julie clicked his tongue, his face serious and fierce. He was back to his older self, a determined individual that doesn't yield to anything that opposes his justice. He kept calm as he listened to the footsteps near, was it so soon that they had fight? The only thing that didn't sit well with Julie was, how did they know about this place or about them? He doubted if they should had provoked. But that was too late, he sighed as he sits on top of an unconscious soldier. Glad that he knows this forest more than the back of his hand, or he would had been dead already. He took the time crushing their firearms using a large tree root before searching for the others. They all seemed to had scattered from the open. He ducked when a bullet came flying over his head, what a close one. It probably wasn't safe to sit around a the bodies of a few unconscious soldiers as Julie ran off into the thicket. While running he spots a distracted soldier. He flicked a thorn at the man's unprotected neck almost like a dart, the man falling flat on his back soon after, knocked out cold. The thorn was mildly toxic, but it wasn't lethal. The man would wake up in a couple of hours with a bad headache and a sore back. He didn't want to yell for any names when he's searching for the others so he kept moving after destroying the man's firearms.

Lex snapped her hand up toward the guard and shot a bolt to knock the guard own, she ran doubled over, in case any other S.E.P's saw her and dove onto the soldier getting to their feet again. Like last time her eyes lit up and she charged the voltage just enough for this one to pass out. Quickly she ran back over to Ben in case the other one needed to be taken care of in a similar fashion.
