Soul Eater RP

Mac blushed a little and nodded, taking his sandwich from the waitress who had walked up. He thought of asking why she was being so nice, but then he remembered that she was in fairly the same boat as he was. "That's the plan then."

Ahri nodded, not aggressively for once, and sipped her tea. "That's the plan!"

Once they were finished with their mini-lunch Ahri lead Mac to her apartment. It was very close to Death Square, Ahri had bought it for a high price. They approached the large, old, brick building when Ahri stopped. "Here we are!" She gestured to the elderly building.

Mac's jaw dropped as he scanned to the top of the building. "H-how did you get that? You'd let me stay here?"

Mac started to get a little excited, the apartment looked really cool.

"Well, I played my instruments on the streets for a long time. I made a lot of money from it." Ahri shrugged. "Ofcourse I want you here! I mean, to be honest I got two apartments but took down the wall between them so it would be symmetrical." She smiled at him as she headed into the building and held the door open for him. "We are going to the top floor." She said after he entered. She pointed to the elevator.

Mac didn't comment about the symmetrical part, but it made him smile. He had always wanted things to be symmetrical, but the chaos of the world had always brought him down. Perhaps here he could be comfortable. He entered the elevator with a smile and rode up with Ahri. Then he walked over to the apartment and waited for her to unlock it.

She followed him to apartment 10-221B. "I will give you the key for room 10-221A inside kay?" Ahri smiled up to Mac and pushed the door open. "Your room is on the over here, the left side." She walked over to what she thought of as bedroom #1.

"Wow, thanks," responded Mac with a smile, bringing his suitcase to the room and looking around a bit. Then he came into what seemed to be the living room and looked around for Ahri. "Hey, so are there any house rules I should know about first?"

Ahri popped out of her bedroom and headed toward a tv. "Nope, just clean up your own mess." She smiled, then stopped. She turned bright red and faced him. "No late nights with strange ladies, or guys, what ever you prefer..."

Mac's face matched the color of his hair when Ahri said that. "Wh-whatever I prefer? I'm not into guys if that's what you mean. A-and I doubt any girl would go out with me late at night. But… what if that strange girl is you?"

Mac immediately winced, the way he said that could be taken in so many different ways. That was just not smooth at all. He felt like hitting himself on the head with a hammer.

Ahri's face turned into a cherry. "W-why-Wh-at? Um..." She didn't even know how to respond to a question of that nature. "I-I guess since we live to-together it wouldn-t be a problem..." The cherry faced girl couldn't look Mac in the eye as she said this. She held her hands together in the front of her body and squirmed awkwardly.

"Good… I mean, okay. Er, never mind. It's not like we'd be staying out late anyway," replied Mac nervously. Sweat started to roll down his temple.

Ahri simply nodded, holding in laughter. "I'm sure we will be out late, just not in that way." She giggled and sat in the window seat. "So, I talked to Lord Death, he said that he will make arrangements for this to work and not to worry." Ahri grinned as she clicked the on button for the TV.

Not in what way? Mac wondered. He didn't let himself ponder it for too long. He blankly nodded when she told of Lord Death's decision. Then he waited to see what she would choose to watch. Mac found himself confused with emotion.

Ahri stared at the TV, it was on but not on a channel. She turned it to HDMI 1 and handed the remote to Mac. "You choose what we watch tonight, new roomie. I'm going to order pizza." She stood up and wandered to the kitchen table where her school bag sat. After digging in it for a minute she dialed Death Pizza. "What kind of pizza do you like?" She yelled to him.

Mac was frozen for a moment. He couldn't imagine ever being comfortable in the situation he was in, but maybe that would change over time. He finally arched over the back of the couch and called out, "I like sausage, pepperoni, or meat lovers. Whatever you like best is fine."

Then he turned back to the TV. Mac slowly leaned back on the couch and sighed. This was home, whether he was used to it or not. He started flipping through channels until he came across a movie on TV. It just happened to be his favorite movie, Bloodsport.

"Oh, good!" Ahri responded. "I would like a large meat lovers, please." After ordering the pizza she got a pepsi for herself and jumped back onto the couch. "What is this?" She asked sipping her drink. She had already gotten used to having another person in the house. Am I trusting him to easily? He just seems so trust worthy... I will back off a bit... I guess.

"It's by far the best movie ever!" exclaimed Mac, "It's about this American dude who travels to Hong Kong to fight in a secret MMA tournament. It's really awesome and brings in a lot of different cultures! You have to watch it with me!"

Mac was practically bouncing off the couch as he said this. Apparently the movie had made him completely relaxed for the moment.

Ahri started laughing at Mac's reaction to the movie. "Alright!" She threw a fist in the air in excitement. She held her knees to her chest as the movie began. Her long golden braids here looped around her arms, Ahri didn't bother to move them.

Mac excitedly watched the movie, yet during a slower part, he looked over to Ahri. Again he was bombarded by strange emotions he didn't understand. What did it mean to be partners? Why didn't it feel right? No one had ever taught him about girls, and he had never really interacted with them before. Did this mean they were married? The idea sent shivers down his spine. What do married people do? Those questions felt really odd. He didn't want to be married, at least not yet.

He slowly looked up and his face became red as a ruby, "Um… this doesn't mean we're married right?"

Just at a slow part of the movie Mac asked Ahri an honest question. She turned to him, wide eyes and bright cheeks, and threw her hands up by her head. "What? No, where did you get that idea?" She responded, putting her hands back around her legs. "Partners only mean in battle and stuff, silly." Ahri giggled. He was getting more and more adorable as time went on. Ahri felt very well about their situation, and was excited to use a new type of weapon.

Mac sunk back into the couch, feeling stupid. "S-sorry. I didn't know. I… was an orphan for most my life." Mac looked away, fighting back tears. He was a man, why was he sitting here crying? Mac felt like an all around failure. Anyways, Ahri had it pretty rough too, so it wasn't like he was an exception.

As Ahri noticed Mac starting to cry, she realized their pasts were similar but different. She set a hand on his shoulder, facing him. "You're okay, Mac. I was too, I guess you could say." She then wrapped her arms around his shoulders and buried her face into his shoulder. "Please don't feel stupid, or bad. Ever." She looked up to him. "You are awesome, and we are going to make the best pair out there!" She threw her fist into the air and smiled at him. The movie had kept going, but it didn't even phase Ahri. Mac had pulled one of Ahri's heart strings and now all she wanted to do was make him happy, feel safe in her-no their- home.

As Ahri attempted to console Mac, he felt the tears push harder. Yet it wasn't so much in sadness anymore. She was his meister. No, it was more than that. She was his friend. His best friend. It was at that moment that he swore to himself to become the best weapon. He wouldn't let the drawbacks of his weapon hold her back.

After a moment, he looked back to her, composed as usual. "Thanks A. I'll be a death scythe before you know it!" He clapped his hand on her shoulder and continued, "Besides, I've got the best meister."

Ahri's face brightened up and her smile grew to the edges of her face. She set her hand on his resting on her shoulder. The smile only grew.

(wat? .-. )

Mac's expression formed into confusion. "Wh- are you alright Ahri? Did I say something funny?" The look on her face made him a little uncomfortable and he started to blush. He didn't know how to handle things like compliments or smiles.
