Soul Eater RP

Ahri nodded and took Mac's wrist. "Please, I can figure it out. Don't make me choose someone else." Tears were starting to come to her eyes. Even the thought of having to socialize with people made her scared. "Please." She held onto his wrist tightly, and wiped away involuntary tears.

Mac looked at the girl, unsure of what was happening. Was she about to cry? Mac swore under his breath, that was his soft spot. He didn't like people being unhappy. But of course this was probably just another ruse that would come back to bite him in the butt. But, what if it wasn't.

"Well, if you're really being serious, I guess I could be your partner. But what's the matter? Nobody's ever wanted me as a partner for anything before."

Ahri exhaled with relief and let go of Mac's wrist. "I just have issues with people, and the fact you aren't hurting me right now means a lot." She gave him her most kawaii smile, but the scar on her face made it look slightly off. "No one has ever wanted me either, besides Lord Death because... of reasons. Yet, here I am."

Mac held an expression of concern that eventually hid a hint of care. Was she being genuine? If she wasn't, Mac was going to be really pissed. Because she had appealed to his deeply caring personality. Some would say he was gullible because of this. Only time will tell. It was only now that he had noticed the scar on her face. To be honest, it wasn't that noticeable, and made her look sort of intimidating.

Suddenly Mac was left with a bunch of questions, yet he refrained from asking them. If he was going to be her partner, he'd let her tell those secrets in her own time. "Well, if we are going to be partners then, I'll need to know your name. I'm Michael Ugiyoshi McGhann."

"It nice to meet you, Michael-senpai!" She bowed. "I go by Ahri." Smiling up to Mac she moved her bangs out of her face. The teacher at the front of the classroom introduced himself and told us about the classes we would be taking. He then told us to partner up and we were dismissed. "So, do you want do get lunch or something?" She asked forgetting that they still had luggage.

Mac blinked, surprised. "Well, you don't need to call me that. Heh, just call me Mac. Alright Ahri-chan?" he responded with a smile.

"Get lunch? Uh, sure, but where? Only place I know is Deathbucks."

Ahri's face lit up. "Okay, Mac!" There was a skip to her walk for a moment, then Mac mentioned Deathbucks. "Oh my death! I love Deathbucks! I heard DWMA kids work there part time!" She said excitedly and headed down the DWMA steps.

Mac smiled lightly. "Alright, then that's where we'll go. But don't you want to set our luggage away first? Do you know what they gave us? Are we in separate dorms or did we get one of those apartments down in the city?"

Ahri awkwardly smiled as they continued to walk. "I actually have an apartment, if you want we could arrange with Lord Death for you to live with me!" She skipped at the thought. "I have an empty room, it would be perfect!" Suddenly she stopped. "What do you mean 'what they gave us?"

Mac stopped. "I simply meant what they gave us as living accomodations. I know that some of the students stay in dorm type things, while others are given appartments. But the dorms are divided by sex, so I don't think they would do that in our case. But you have an appartment? A-and you want me to l-live with you? You mean with your parents and stuff?" The idea of living alone with a girl made mac a little nervous.

Ahri's face went serious. "Our situation is... special. I don't have parents and honestly it would be better if we stay together." She looked him dead in the eye as she said this. Turning forward she said; "I will talk to Death, after lunch we can put your stuff in your room!" She went back to her bubbly self, pulling him toward Deathbucks. It didn't even phase her of the girl/boy rooming, all she thought of was their safety.

Mac allowed himself to be tugged along as he as he pondered what had just happened. "Doesn't have any parents? Just none living with her? Or... is she the daughter of a witch?"

This though sent shivers down Mac's spine. What was he getting himself into? He smiled nervously and stopped outside the door to Deathbucks, slipping his hand out of hers. "I-I don't know if that's such a good idea. I mean, they probably already have accommodations for me. It would be rude to refuse right? I mean, I'm not trying to be rude to you but I just... you know..."

As Mac slid his hand from Ahri's grasp she turned to him, with the new info he told her she frowned. "I'm sure Death would prefer you live with me, though." She took a deep breath. "I will tell you more inside." Turning into the cafe, she didn't force Mac to follow but hoped he did. She sat at her usual table at the far corner of Deathbucks.

Mac looked around nervously for a second. Half thinking someone was following him and going to yell at him. Then he slowly walked into the coffee shop and looked around, not finding Ahri.

When Ahri realized her new partner couldn't see her she sat up straighter and waived her arm in the air, trying to grab his attention. She also pushed the chair across from her out, which made a loud squeaking noise.

Mac heard a loud screeching noise and winced. Then he looked over and saw Ahri trying to get his attention in the corner of the room. Blushing a little, he started his walk toward the table as a bunch of eyes looked back on him. Finally he sat down next to Ahri, putting his back to everyone else.

"So? What did you want to tell me?"

Ahri took a deep breath, then showed a serious face. "I'm the child of, well, a mad man and a witch." She looked up at him to see his expression, then continued. "There isn't a problem though, only when in a really difficult situation does the witch take over in me. Anyway, Lord Death took me in a few months ago and, so, that's the reason you will be able to stay with me. Also, the reason we need to stay together." She smiled kindly at Mac.

Mac gasped when the first statement was said. Damn, I was right. Yet he continued to listen, folding his hands and resting his elbows on the table.

"So… you're a witch who doesn't want to be?" Goosebumps pinched his skin as he thought. Then he looked into Ahri's eyes and said, "I'll help you through it. Besides… I'm your weapon aren't I? I have to take care of my meister."

Ahri's eyes opened wide, and her smile almost ripped her face. "Thank you, Mac! But, I'm not quite a witch, it comes and goes.." She gabbed a napkin and drew her soul on it. "See the purple? That is the witch, like right now its up here!" She pointed to the top of the soul with her pen. "Sorry, that this is so difficult. I need you to keep me sane I guess." She offered him a smile.

Mac directed his attention to the diagram and nodded. After a moment, he reached for the pen and napkin. Flipping the napkin, he began drawing his own soul. On the left side, he etched a star. Yet the star bore strange tendrils, giving the impression of broken glass. Then he pushed it back to Ahri.

"Ahh!" Ahri grinned at the drawing of Mac's soul. Since she had a hard time seeing souls, it was always interesting to see what other people's looks like. "Beautiful! Very different. Well, I bet everyone at the DWMA has a soul that's different." She giggled, trying not to offend him. She quickly raised her hand to call the waitress over. "I would like a spice chai, extra spice please!" The waitress nodded then looked to Mac.

Mac quickly folded the napkin, scanning the cafe to see if anybody had noticed. When he averted his attention back to the waitress, he eyed her carefully, then said, "I'll just have the house sandwich I guess."

As she walked away with the order, he stared at the table. "I bet everyone at the DWMA has a soul that's different." he thought, letting Ahri's words resonate in his head. "Different? Yeah. Just don't tell Lord Death I showed you that okay?"

Ahri put her elbow up on the table, offering him her pinkie. "I wont tell if you don't." She smiled at him. I will leave out the part where Lord Death could expel him for now.

Mac gives a smile as he locks his pinkie with Ahri's. "Deal. I'll explain it later when we're alone… if you want."

After saying this, Mac fidgets, feeling uncomfortable still about the whole situation. He was actually talking to a girl, and she was listening to him.

"Ofcourse, I told you mine and I want to hear yours!" Ahri offered a comforting smile, then nodded. "After this we will head to the apartment, I will call Lord Death there. Sound good?" She realized how perky she was sounding and wished she had calmed down sooner.
