Crap, accidentally double posted when I meant to edit the question for greater clarity. What's the CDR cost if you have full health and use Slip Stream?

Are you a Yan? You seem like that or a Dan.

  1. What? CranberryJoe?

The Trojan skill Expansion pack is DEAD!
Oh, great pinpointing. I am a bit of a dandere (more Dan than dere) irl. I do socialize with everyone that approaches me, though. But how do I say this... I give the same vibe Dullahan will when I introduce him. He's the closest to my irl personality out of all the characters I made so far.

Tiny bits of Yan are also present...but passive

Lol. Zero. But why would you use it at full health? Solo trash like Eos?

Ho-hum. I see, I see. I look forward to the weirdo's introduction. Let's see who can out-weird who!

I'm trying to weigh the pros and cons of the newly modified skills. For the Trojan at full health, Slip Stream functions like F5 from a damage negation standpoint, but is cheaper in terms of CDR cost. With the increasing CDR cost of Slip Stream as health lowers + how difficult it is to regain CDR though, I feel that it would probably be wiser to pair F5 with health potions and Cyber Man in dire health emergencies, so Slip Stream's usefulness is limited.

I'm debating whether or not to switch Giles to Social Media now, since I wanted to build a support character who could be self-sufficient, but the changed IRTG do narrow down the possibilities significantly. Can't decide rip

F5 only negates dmgs caused by dice rolls. Slipstream turns all dmgs to heals (skills like Blood Runner, Short Circuit, Astral Finish, etc included). It's a nice safety skill to have just in case (especially if it really does cost 0 at full health~) so I grabbed one simply for the extra negation. As a heal tho, Stabilizing Body or simply pots would cost less. The Trojan is tricky because, unlike other classes, their skills aren't meant to be spammed. Rather used in certain specific situations. They have a solution to everything, but it's limited, so they have to decide where and when to best use it. And if using it was worth it. With the patch, the difficult workings of the Trojan are further emphasized.

Tbh, I think Mirror of Fortune has it worse. Even as much as I pumped CDR into JinX, the most it can be used, against just a lvl 15 is 4 times. Against stronger opponents (where the skill will be more useful since its dmg effectiveness relies on the difference) the cost is even higher - maybe two or one at most. I'd originally planned to replace F5 with mirror (even with the higher cost compared to F5), but now that's no longer possible since its use has been severely limited. Still an excellent skill for reversing situations with the die (one of the few skills that can save from Perfection, VF Force, etc), but not really something to depend on. Not even Guilty Sparks makes up for the loss that using it would cost against a lvl 30 or something <.<

Social media is an interesting class with plently of support skills, though I'm not sure how it's more self sufficient...rather it's a party dependent class.

I agree, which is why I'm in the middle of a dilemma. I wanted a Trojan that heavily borrows from Social Media skills, but now that IRTG has been limited it's either choose the fully dependent class or stick with Trojan. The current Trojan is a little too selfish for Giles, who's main schtick I planned to be team work and conflict de-escalation. I also liked the idea of Expansion Pack (specifically how a skill could interact with item effects), but now that that's been removed, the class has moved further away from my original impression of it and into heavy situational damage management.

P.S. I will never consider even using Guilty Spark out of principle, so that's probably another strike against staying with the class. But Social Media just feels too party dependent for me :|

Make an Edge Lord. Join the Solo Trash side.

Giles is a nice guy. I'm still debating whether to trade F5 III for Guilty Sparks or Trojan Horse for JinX.

Sadly, with your dilemma, the only thing I can say is to choose the choice you think you'd regret least. Social Media can be built to be more self efficient by tossing points into PROW and investing in gear. Also the Going Viral Ex can be pretty darn useful depending on who you target. Do summons count as party members? Alternatively, if you max IRTG ex, you can get up to 4 skills from other classes to create the build you want (unless you need more than 4 ). Trojans have a lot of self support skills, but it's not like you have to focus on them. The only thing is, if you don't grab the more expensive skills, it'll become very cost inefficient--lvling IRTG ex, I mean. Not that it can't be done. White just increased the price <.<

Tch. Quirk.

You're so smart. And I'll be removing Trojan Horse and Guilty Spark. Trojans are the lucky ones getting the Deku treatment.

Thanks, I think.

That's a pity. I rather liked those skills, though I look forward to whatever changes you make. Not that JinX can afford anything right now.
