After five other routes of knock-off Dynasty Warrior combat mixed with Dragon Simulator 2003, Route E ends with the game turning on a dime, deciding that it's a rhythm game now, and making you fight this.
The third game in the series does it too, but better.

I haven't fought either of them, I sold Drakengard 1 before I got big into Yoko Taro and 3 has been sitting half-played through on my PS3 for a year now. But in concept, they're some of my favorite boss fights.

If you mean finishing 3, I probably will one day. But gameplay wise 3 isn't, uh, very good, the game is quite long and you have to 100% it to unlock the final route, so I'm 'saving it for a rainy day'. Nier Automata aside, you definitely play Yoko Taro games for the story, not the gameplay.
And the character designs.

Not just that. There's also the shots when the Billbine transforms and the spot where the Aura Road leads to - Shoh basically weaponizes Isekai.

We finally have a Nobuyuki Hiyama Servant.
Unfortunately, it's just Darnic. During Fate/Apocrypha Inheritance of Glory, (You) are summoned by Fafnir-Sieg to help debug the Greater Grail and end an endless recursion of wars. As it turns out, when Rad Vlad died in Apocrypha after being fused with Darnic, he hitched a ride into the Throne of Heroes and thus shows up in this simulated environment. Coincidentally, his birthday was on May 2nd. Regardless, there's one unfilled spot in the Servantdex and Darnic here has a unique sprite and posture instead of a reuse of CE art like Kayneth - the last time we saw something like this was with Kiara/Heaven's Hole.
