Valentine Whitaker
Age: 50 years old
Gender: Female
Occupation: Butcher/Hunter

Valentine Whitaker has grown up in Sallow her entire life. She knows every inch of this land, every story to be told. She is familiar with all wildlife, the common and the unique. Valentine knows her way around hunting weapons and exercises extra care when hunting since she knows kids are kids. She is a tough woman, having to compete with the men in regards to hunting. However, she is respectful to humans and creatures. Never has she overhunted and isn't afraid to stand up for what is right. While never marrying nor having children, Valentine is a mama bear and you certainly should be wary if you cross her path.

Lance Garner
Age: 25 years old
Gender: Male
Occupation: Car Mechanic

Lance, to put it simply, isn't nice to be around. There is something unsettling about him. He scares children and women alike, even most men tend to stay away from him. He is a not clear in the head, knowing for random rage outbursts. He's a bully and has been since he was in school (most of the main characters probably know of him). Lance is known to be disrespectful and persistent. The law won't do much about him, due to the fact they cannot prove he has done anything at all. However, the town as a whole can agree he is bad news and most likely has done some illegal stuff on the side. It seems even Ray avoids him...

Many days and nights have passed since his rebellious son's sudden disappearance... And many more have passed since his healthy wife Laura's unfortunate passing with an overnight sickness, but yet, the town priest continues to intiate his sermons with a bright gaze.
That gaze has since dimmed within his long years as a priest, but it lives on, despite knowing of many confessions, of many worries and of many unknowns, perhaps because of a single certainty, that God is watching over him.
No one truly knows what goes on behind that kind smile of his, but in that old church he takes care of, Father Tobias always begins his preaching with a single phrase.
"I have hope."​
 
Me too! Feel free to post the intro posts of your characters now. I think it would also be an interesting idea to have everyone start to notice the black butterflies around town, a sight that is uncommon to those who grew up there. The imagery would imply a pestilence has come to the Sallow.
 
So, I petition that there is one chase scene from Mr. Myth in a cornfield because the setting is in Illinois. My roommate who was born and raised in IL also petitions this. 😂

We can probably swing that lol. When you all write your own Event Posts, you can kill the support characters any way you want to. So as of now and in no specific order, Chana, Fluffy, and Magnolia are next.
 
I look forward to reading the remainder of the posts; the characters are so well written and developed in their forms, I’m sure the writing will match!
 
In terms of how characters start meeting, is that something we just let it happen naturally through the rp, something we need to plan with those characters, or something that is pre planned based off the event?

Side question: does the town Sallow know that Aldon is dead at this point?

I think I said in one of the threads that everyone can start planning stuff with other characters like rivalries, friendships, romances...etc. We can go the natural route as well if you all want.

The town does not know about Aldon because his body will not be found. He has been turned. Though, I imagine some can mention about not seeing him in a couple days.
