Slippery Scales of Decipet

Smiling a littel bit, Aaron found the corner of the cave and rubbed his eyes. He looked at her and then blinked, "Remember earlier how I tlaked about... well about getting furnature for the cave?"

Emma nodded "Yes..." She replied, but was silent otherwise while she waited for him to continue. She could tell where this was probably going, though. And, to be honest, she didn't really mind. At least, if her suspicion was correct.

He blinked a little bit, "I know of a few traders that you can get some from. And there is an area outside the castle where we try to sell some stuff, that's your decision if you want to."

"As much as I'd like to furnish this place, seeing how dull it is, I don't think buying them myself will be much of an option." Emma replied, motioning to her lower half "Somehow I doubt they'd take a liking to me."

He looked around and then looked to the moss, "Most of them won't notice if you cover it with something. If you get a blanket and tie it, you'll actually look like a nomrla woman, just odn't let them see it."

Emma raised her eyebrows, surprised at Aaron's idea "Huh... Yeah, good thinking." She said, getting up to gather some of the moss "Perhaps you're smarter than I gave you credit for at first."

He took the moss and smiled, "allow me." He used the strands to weave them together and used vines to hold them together. Then, he took some mud in his fingers and gently smeared it on her cheeks, "there, now you look like a normal peasent."

Emma nodded once Aaron finished "Alright, let's go get some furniture, then." She said, before heading to the exit. Once outside, she turned to him "Lead the way. I don't really know where we're going."

He nodded and grabbed his pouch. "When we get there I can't really be there, otherwise I'll be seen. I-I'll give you the pouch." They began to walk, himself trotting and smiling a little bit as he realized the situation.

Emma's suspicion plainly showed on her face "Why can't you be seen? It's not like we're going back to your castle, we're just going into the village, right?" She asked. It hadn't even been a day they've been working together, so of course she wouldn't put trying to run off past him.

He blinked, "I-in the off chance that.... never mind." He sighed and followed her, looking down. He blinked a little and groaned, realizing they had a long distance to travel just to get halfway to their destination.

Emma nodded, making sure to keep an eye on Aaron as he led them to their destination. A thought came to mind as she checked the sky for the time "How far away is this place, anyway?" She asked. If it was too far, they just might have to put it off until the morning.

"By my estimate, maybe seven miles north... maybe eight." He looked down at her legs... err tails, "you cover ground much better than I do."

"Hmm. We have a lot of ground to cover, then. Perhaps this will end up being more trouble than it's worth, if we have to trek there, then haul the furniture we buy back to the cave." Emma said, stopping. She was glad she asked when she did. Granted, she didn't exactly know how quickly she could cover seven miles, but it sounded like quite the ways for someone who's never left the forest.

He nodded, "If we go tomorrow, then we could get a much better start." He was secretly glad, for he wasn't in the mood nro the energy to walk over seven miles there and back. He walked back into the cave and sat down, rubbing his eyes.

Emma nodded back in agreement "That's probably best." She said, turning around and heading back "We'll head back, get our sleep for the night, then in the morning we'll set out for real."

She looked down, shivering a little bit, "If you're willing to sleep, then I woudln't mind." He smiled and rested his head agianst he wall.

Emma slithered next to him and wrapped herself around him "Of course, since I can't really trust you not to run off while I'm asleep yet, you're going to have to sleep in my tail for the time being."

He blushed profusely. She felt extremly warm to be honest, and it felt... well safe. He yawned nad laid himself into her embrace, slowly yawning and closing his eyes.

Emma watched as Aaron fell asleep, surprisingly comfortably. Making sure her grip on him would stay firm by tying the end of her tail around the previous section, she closed her eyes and fell asleep as well.

When he woke up, Aaron realized he had himself wrapped around her tail as though it was a pillow. He decided not to mind, just petting the tail and slowly falling into a state between sleep and awakeness.

Emma woke up, herself, soon afterwards. Feeling Aaron petting her tail, she figured she could let him enjoy himself for a little bit. Honestly, she was surprised he wasn't as freaked out as her other meals had been when she was keeping them for when she was hungry.

He kept petting her tail, forgetting entirely she was a monster. It was just relaxing for him to pet her tail, letting his mind drift away and not having to worry about the present. He kept going until he finally managed to open his eyes.

Emma smiled at him as he woke up "Well, good morning. You seem to have a fondness for my scales." She greeted him with a tease, chuckling a little bit "Don't let me stop you."

He looked up and blushed, "It just feels so soft and silky, as though you're a pet." He continued to stroke and soon scratched them, "Can you actually feel anything?"
