Alias: Milo, Lily, Lyla
Gender: Female
Age: 19
Height: 5'6
Weight: 140
Sexual Orientation: Bi-Sexual
Appearance:
Personality: Shy at first, outgoing once you get to know her.
Background: Milas's mother left her outside a fire station the day she was born. Upon DNA test, it was found that her father was baseball star Mitus Castio. But when brought to him, he named her only to turn her away.
The next five years of her life was spent bouncing from one family member to the next until no next of kin was left. Thrust into the system, she felt unlovable. Each foster home was worst than the last. One couple was never home. One couple was always home but played terrible and unbearable music. One couple almost starved her to death. One almost beat her to death. But on her tenth birthday, she finally found a family.
Damien and Cody had adopted multiple children before Milas. But their love for each was no different: 100%. Tori was already in college along with her twin brother Tobi. Gabriel, Jaden and Rachel were in high school. Sammy and Wade were in middle school. Kevin was the same age as her. There were five children younger than her and one newborn.
When she was seventeen, Milas's mother appeared on the doorstep. She hugged Milas, but Milas pulled away from the withered creature. She was old, and had destroyed her body with drugs, alcohol and cigarettes. She was dying. Every bit of her was shutting down.
She told Milas she never should've given her up. Milas was the best thing that had ever happened to her. But she had felt at the time she needed drugs more than a baby. Promised money by Milas's father if she made this "little mistake" vanish. Not wanting to abort it, she gave it up after birth instead. And after all these years, she came to apologize for the mistake she made and to fix her wrongs. But even though Milas forgave her (as Damien had taught her to do), she chose her family over the mother who gave her up.
Once her mother had left, Cody went out and bought Milas a kitten to cheer her up. Milas chose a Siamese with one eye and half a tail. She named the little thing Kiara after Simba's daughter from Lion King 2.
When Milas turned eighteen, Damien and Cody gave her all the money they saved for her and told her to live out her dreams. That's when she moved to this town. She bought a small store in the mall and turned it into the perfect pet store where she rescued animals and took in unwanted litters to be taken in by loving families.

The Boy
Name:
Fukui Shoji
Alias:
Shoji
Gender:
Male
Age:
19
The Player
Height:
6'0
Weight:
167 pounds
Sexual Orientation:
Heterosexual
The Fighter
Personality:
Like any other athlete Shoji knows how hard work can pay off, heck this guy lives off of his sheer determination and a fire that will never go out. No matter how much you knock him down Shoji will always get up, no matter what odds he'll give all his strength into anything he does. In darkest times Shoji will always be the one to look at the bright side, and fight against any odds that come against him. Shoji is mostly emotionally composed, he won't get mad over a loss, and he'll keep it cool in a heated situation. Though Shoji is extremely sensitive, even if he doesn't show it. Every hateful comment is like a thorn in his side. He bottles up his feelings and they eventually explode, leaving him in an extremely emotional state.
Background:
Shoji started his life as an extremely poor boy, he lived in a shabby house in a bad part of town, he wore old torn clothing, and he was frequently bullies by his peers for being poor. At a young age Shoji was very insecure about himself, and he lacked self confidence, he surely wasn't the strong, hardworking man that he is today. He felt as if he could do nothing, and he would give up on everything. Luckily his father used to be a good high-school basketball player, and he quickly thought Shoji how to play the game. At first Shoji was terrible and he would throw fits over how he couldn't do this or he couldn't do that, "Crying won't get you anywhere. Remember it's hard to beat someone who never gives up," his father would say, but Shoji was too stubborn to listen to him. Shoji's father was harsh to him while he taught him how to play basketball, but that was for Shoji's sake. It crafted him into a skilled player who was on a different level than the players his age. Shoji never had an interest in playing on a team though, he knew that he wouldn't make it because of his parents income. This all changed though when Shoji's father grew deathly ill. Before he died Shoji's father told him to follow his wishes and become the best damn basketball player this country has seen. A sad but determined Shoji then went on to join a high school team, but the other players and even the school board itself tried all they could to get this "poor" boy from their team, but Shoji never gave up and eventually he landed a spot on the team. He was a benchwarmer though, and he barely got no play time. Until one of the star players broke their ankle while playing and Shoji was sent out on the court, Shoji played like an all-star. No other player on the court matched his skill, and the game was quickly over. Shoji and his team went on to win a big tournament, and Shoji was considered one of the best high-school basketball players. Shoji got a college scholarship, and here we are now.
