However, if you dispel that anger, or any kind of negative emotion that clouds your mind, all by your own, then there is a chance that you have obtained..."enlightenment", and from that you are granted what is to be the state of which nothing can make you feel anger, sadness, fear, anxiety, and other negative emotions. "Mushin", the state of nothingness and the one thing that is capable of dispelling any form of ki, including Satsui. The only problem, as I e said, that chance for it is one in a billion. Train as hard as you can, but attaining that state is a lot more harder than you ever thought."​

“Sounds more like a curse in return for the "greater good" to me.” Clair remarked.

“Doesn't sound like using fire against fire applies onto Satsui though.” Xenon commented.

"Satsui against Satsui is like adding more fuel into the fire." Ryujiro said "Mushin is the only way to counter it, or rather, nullify it."​

“Is it an iron rule that firmly says that's the case? Or is it currently the only known technique to dispel it?” Clair asked.

"That is the only technique that can stop such." Ryujiro said.​

“Guess I'll take it as the former then.” Clair spoke. “I'd rather believe there's actually more ways to do so.”

"You think? Well good luck finding which work best then." Ryujiro said.​

“Sure.” Clair responded,shrugging as he knew that he was probably the only one here who believes there was only one solution.

“But,if he really is going to come then...are you sure you two will be alright?” Xenon asked both Ryutaro and Wendy “We don't have much time left for the two of you to try to master Mushin.”

 

[Topless]

"I don't care what happens." Ryutaro said "Mushin or not, I'm gonna fight him no matter what." Wendy then butts in, saying "Me too."​

 

[SpaceRavens03]

“Y-you two are a little too fired up for this...” Xenon muttered,dreading at the thought of them fighting the stranger that had murdered Wendy's sister.

"Hey, you know there is no hurt in trying, right?" Ryutaro asked.​

 

[SpaceRavens03]

“I get what you're saying,but-”

“Papa,” Ruri immediately interjected, “It should be okay as long as they manage to get out alive,right?”

"Yeah, I mean the first rule clearly states to never kill your opponent." Ryutaro said.​

 

[SpaceRavens03]

“What's stopping him from doing so without being part of the tournament however?” Xenon pointed out.

“Well. Maybe that's why we're here with them in the first place.” Cheng answered. “If we do find him,we could try intercepting him should he attempt to harm either Ryutaro or Wendy.”

"Yeah, pretty sure he might be the one who doesn't abide much." Ryutaro said.​

“Well,I hope he doesn't take hostages if that's the case.” Cheng remarked.

"We have a few days left. Let's take this time to get serious before the day comes." Ryutaro said.​

“Yeah.” Xenon nodded in agreement.

And so time has passed. After a few days of hard work and training, the day has finally come. The group now stands at the front gate of the venue. It is flooded with a lot of people wanting to watch the action unfold.​

“Sheesh....that's a lot of people gathered here.” Clair muttered,imagining what would have happened had they brought Scientia along (who had still been holed-up in the storeroom and still hasn't met Wendy sicne the last few days).

“Am I supposed to be with the audience as a manager or also waiting in the contestants room?”

"You'll be with me in the contestants room." Ryutaro said before turning to Wendy and ask "Say, where's your manager?" Wendy turns to him and answer "Oh, he said that he'll be late. He is gonna arrive soon."​

“I'm guessing every other contestant here has a manager too.....” Xenon noted as he looked around,noticing one hooded individual leaning by the wall near the entrance (no,his skin isn't tanned) “Or probably not? I'm not really sure.”

"ATTENTION ALL PARTICIPANTS. THE TOURNAMENT WILL BEGIN SHORTLY. PLEASE GO TO YOUR ASSIGNED ROOMS AND WAIT FOR FURTHER ANNOUNCEMENT. THANK YOU." The speakers sounded. It is almost time.​

“It's time,” Xenon muttered before nodding at
Ryutaro, “Let's go.”

“Uncle Ryu,Onee-chan (Ryukia),Miss Wendy,good luck!”

Ruri called out to them as the three,including Xenon,went ahead.

Ryutaro, Ryukia, and Wendy nodded before going inside the arena. "Come on guys, let's head inside." Rachelle said.​
