He's a Merc of course, but he has done some questionable things for GLASS. One of which was slaughtering super humans in a facility under quarintine. After this he went rouge, GLASS only hearing stories about his existince. They still hunt for him. Either to kill or wipe his memory. GLASS considers him a great threat politically. Lucky for them, he bests himself up too much to spill the beans. But they don't know that

Ah okay, cool. That's fine - but bear in mind that GLASS has only existed a few months, so this would all be relatively recent. And you'll still need an appearance :)

If his body is completely destroyed it may take a week or more to return, he is not sure how his body returns just that he awakens within one of the gates of hell located around the world.

At the age of thirteen Ulysses was forced into his first conflict, a vicious battle over an urban area. Used as cannon fodder the fighting was brutal and by the end most of the other children had perished, but this was only the beginning of Ulysses' trials.

Over the next thirteen years Ulysses fought for the Tartarus Corps. where he first got his nickname, the Revenant, due to his penchant for surviving suicide missions. Long after all the others that were recruited with had died Ulysses lived to spite his captors. His skills and reputation propelled him through the ranks of the Corps, and earned the ire of members who saw him as a mistake. Eventually it was one that they tried to correct.

In order to protect his secrets Ulysses has used his mental conditioning to create a Memory Palace, should a telepathy enter his mind they would have to find their way through this construct to find anything.

WIP, but what's your thoughts on the power?

Power's fine, as long as he can actually die - I don't just want to see it used as a back-up to make him crazy strong. Also, what's with the 'gates of hell' stuff? Let me know when you're finished :)

He does die like a regular human he just comes back, wound the brain or heart, bleeding out, as long as the body isn't completely destroyed he will come back within 24 hrs. Say he stepped on a landmine, it blows of his leg and he bleeds to death 24 hrs and he wakes back up, but the leg is still gone, he would need to destory his body for a full resurrection. Now say he stepped on that landmine and it completely destroyed him, he would wake up at one of these gates of hell in a regenerated body.

Gates of Hell are locations all over the world where the native culture believes a passageway to the underworld exists. Pretty much every major culture had at least one of these gates. When completely destroyed his body regenerates at one of these areas, which more often then not means inside a cave.

As for permanent death that's not that hard to do, cyrostasis, or burying him alive would effectively remove him from play unless freed.

Personality: Michael is a no nonsense kind of fellow, he'll take no bullshit from you and you'll receive none in return. A fairly straight forward and honest person, he is also disciplined and strict towards himself. He's the type of guy who'll listen to a drunk's rambling with sincerity and would even dole out a n advice or two. Just don't go around poking about his past and don't cause cause a ruckus in his bar, you'll regret it.

Power: Gravity Manipulation - Michael is able to bend gravity to make the environment very “heavy” or “light” and cause objects to “fall” toward another object instead of the earth. They can repel and attract matter and energy regardless of its mass or move objects in a manner similar to telekinesis.

Michael primarily uses his power to either increase gravity or to reduce it. He can also use it to make himself appear stronger by manipulating the gravity around himself. Michael can also redirect gravity, causing every affected object to be pulled towards the area instead. Michael can choose to be unaffected by the effect of his own power.


Weaknesses: Michael's power has a limited range, roughly about the size of his bar. While not that taxing, continuous use of his powers over a certain period of time can make him extremely nauseous.

He doesn't like to talk about his time both serving his country and offering his services for cash, so not much is known in regards to that part of his past. He's currently the owner and bartender of the bar "Event Horizon", a bar being frequented by shady people and well known criminals. There's even a few vigilantes that drop by from time to time. Michael does not tolerate any rough housing in his bar. He doesn't give a damn if that man killed your wife or raped your son, if you want to kill each other, do it outside. Failure to follow his rules and you'll be nothing more than a bloodstain he'll have to clean up. The bar is also a frequent hangout for members of ARK though Michael himself is not a member.

Other: The bar is open from late noon to early morning. He also serves meals and snacks for those who wishes to eat while they drink. The bar is also open to minors though he win't be serving them any alcohol and they'll be expected to fend for themselves. Pets are also around so long as they don't shit or piss within the bar.

Howlett stands around 5'11 (180.34 centimeters). Considering he's seventeen, it's a good height for him, and makes him somewhat around the same height as most other GLASS members. Underneath his fairly large shirts, he is quite muscular, possibly due to great bone structure, and some training. Howlett also has slightly tanned skin, tired dark brown eyes, and messy dark brown hair. His head is somewhat oval shaped, with a strong chin. He has a small cut on his mouth, for an unknown reason. He appears to be of African American and Asian descent, but it cannot be confirmed.

Before and outside of combat, he is often known to pop his knuckles often. He says he does this to relieve the lactic acid in between his joints so his powers work more efficiently, but honestly, it's just a habit, and nothing more.
Fears/Phobias: Minor cynophobia
Personality:
Howlett is a very calm and collected, fun-loving individual. When dealing with a problem, he will often take the creative choice, attempting to use his powers to their best extent at the time. However, he can be quite shy, and not one to open up the conversation first. He is a deep thinker, and will often spend large amounts of time contemplating over certain events. Each time he does this, he gets creative, and will carve a wooden totem commemorating that past event he had just experienced. He is quite resourceful, as well. However, his creative mind causes him to be somewhat forgetful, his ideas constantly filling up his head.

However, upon entering combat, Howlett's personality shifts. He will fight until his objective is completed, which is a double edged sword of a trait. One one hand, he can be quite reliable as he will do the best of his ability to complete his objective. However, this can be troublesome, as his headstrong attacking strategy can leave him open to attacks quite often. When serious, he will calculate situations before attacking, attempting to analyze his opponents before attacking. His emotions show quite prominently in combat. He loves a challenge, especially if facing a strong opponent, as it gives him opportunity to improve on his abilities. Although not very chivalrous, he will attempt to help out his friends as much as he can, and is a great asset in battle.
Howlett finds it very hard to believe in himself, though. He constantly doubts himself, and takes losses hard. He is prone to fits of anger when immensely frustrated to the point where it breaks his calm demeanor. He also finds it very hard to bounce back when in stressful situations, and will need assistance, even if he assures that he doesn't. But when convinced, he will have a renewed sense of hope in himself, and will try his hardest to complete and fix what he couldn't before.

Howlett has the ability to pull out and manipulate his own bone structure, as well as any bones within his vicinity. However, due to lack of knowledge of his power, Howlett can only manipulate his own bone structure with varying degrees of applications, his favorite being bone weapons. Although, he is not limited to this, as he can generate the bones from his back and chest, and make armor, at the cost of the skin around the bones becoming much weaker, due to lack of support from underneath.
Howlett's bone weapons, or "Osteo Arsenal" as he calls it are incredibly thick and tough, being able to pierce through wood and some forms of metal. They are incredibly sharp, and for some reason, he does not need to sharpen them. Along with this, his bones are incredibly reflective. They are quite shiny, and can be used to reflect sunlight off of them as a form of distraction, or if used against enemies weak to light, as a weapon. Up close, his favorite form of the Osteo Arsenal, the Bone Sickles, have small bone teeth running along the blade, which are constantly moving at the speed of Howlett's heart rate, pulled by the muscle in his forearm to create the spin. However, Howlett must be conscious that he is moving them, and thus must keep focus on that his blades are moving, otherwise they will stay stationary. The reflection of light off of his bones are increased if they are moving.


Mastery of Power: Adept
Although having some degree of skill sheathing, and unsheathing his bones, as well as manipulating his other bones with adept knowledge. Howlett still has a lot to learn before he can fully be able to unsheathe his weapons without hurting himself. Along with this, he must learn how to fight with them as well, without purely relying on instincts. He must learn to be able to wield his bones unconsciously, along with being able to generate as much bone as he wants , with less of a need for calcium intake.

Skills:
Although having no prior knowledge of his abilities, Howlett appears to be quite creative and resoruceful with his powers. Due to studying various art structures in the past, as well as being an excellent sculptor, he can virtually create anything within reason with his bones, knowing exactly how thick, or thin, or sharp his bones need to be to accomplish what he needs. Another possible profession for him could be osteology, as he, when studying the human body to make better human sculptures, he took a course in biology to learn about bone structure. Talk about convenient! He is intelligent, and can find reading people somewhat easy. Coupling these two skills together can make him a very versatile, as well as a danger for anyone else who has a simple-minded approach towards battle.


Limits:
- Limited in means of range
- He must learn to wield his weapons.
- Can't make large amounts of bone without consuming large quantities of calcium to support the creation of the new appendages.
- Although quite tough, and about as durable as iron, his bones can still be broken, and take a very long time to regenerate.
- Unsheathing his bone claws is an incredibly painful task, as it is literally ripping his skin open to unsheathe his blades.
- His skin will regenerate to compensate, but it is much weaker than the skin that was there originally. Upon sheathing his blades, the bones will go back inside, and the skin will return to normal. However, while his blades are unsheathed, a well placed shot on that weak skin area is a good strategy for disabling his arms.
- Although his skin regenerates around his arms, the rest of his body will not apply to regeneration.

Weaknesses:
- Any skin underneath bones generated are marginally weaker than the skin that was there originally.
- Along with this, his body is still human, and, if hit hard enough, could die from injuries.

Backstory

Born in Salem , Massachusetts, life was not difficult for Howlett originally. He was born in a middle-class family, and attended school like any other regular student. He does not know of his parents, but was raised by his uncle and aunt Ronald and Sherry Howlett. Howlett knew of the superheroes that existed, but never really took interest in them, and wanted to become a sculptor, and make large wooden sculptures to show to the world. However, constantly bullying made it very difficult for him to spire towards it, and caused him to have a really low self-esteem as a child.
Once the bullying got physical, his family decided to move, to the more populated city of Hale. In Hale, Howlett was able to attend school normally, albeit with the occasional encounter with superhumans around the City. However, bullying resurfaced upon the discovery of his talent with woodcarving once more. However, instead Howlett decided to defend himself. The bully was much more physically strong than Howlett, punching and striking him over, and over. However, Howlett would just not go down. It progressed until Howlett had finally had enough. However, this was not a good thing, as he ended up eviscerating his aggressor upon producing bones from his middle finger when trying to throw a punch. Luckily, he had been outside when this happened, and the light reflected off his bone in all directions, giving him a chance to run away.
Howlett hasn't gone home since. He has been living somewhat on the outskirts of the city, attempting to get a hold of his powers. This continued until Howlett caught wind of a place that could possibly train him to control his abilities, as well as make a name for himself. Although no one knows of the crime, he feels a bit of a need to redeem his crime by becoming a well known as respected member of the Gnerally Lax Active Success System.

Owen grew up in the suburbs. Nice home nice family. He sees them every once in a while. Owen grew up as a quiet kid, but a smart and tough one. He managed to graduate and move out to follow his dream. Become a cop. He had always like the idea of helping people and bring justice. Cracking a few heads along the way wouldn't be too bad either. He moved up through the ranks rather quickly, becoming a detective. With keen investigative skill, no nonsense, and a good puncher he worked as a good detective for many years.

However, over those many years many of the criminals got away they had good lawyers that came with even greater excuses. When Owen tried to go after the criminals that got away even when the evidence proved obvious, he was quickly fired from the force. While at first, he was despondent, he decided that this wasn't the worst. He set himself up as a private detective, helping people on cases that the police won't touch. Still even this wasn't enough.

Something had to be done. There does seem to be a bunch of people running around doing the police's job. They seem to be working for this organisation, GLASS. Sure they might get the big fish but even they let little ones just swim away. This doesn't even mention the damage they do to the city when going up against this ARK. Now Owen doesn't have hatred for these vigilantes. After all there helping. It's their employers that worry him. That and their ideals. They fly in stop the bad guy, give a speech, and bang there gone. They never go after the real threat. People in power. The corrupt, the evil, the powerful. People like their employers. Someone has to do something. So Owen using his skills and he has born with he became, Smoke Spectre will weed out the corrupt, the sadistic, the unprincipled. He will show them that they are not safe while the Spectre of Smoke stalks the world.

Secondly, every form he shifts into is melanistic, which is quite uncommon in many animals, and he's easy to pick out if he is, say, a squirrel, and the opponent is aware of his melanism.
