Backstory:
In the grand scheme that is Torith's childhood, not a whole lot happened. He was raised by his average non-superhuman father in a small town, graduated from school with decent grades, and then moved to Hale to strike out on his own. After a rough couple years of going from job to job, he finally found steady work for a downtown nightclub, The Lux, as a bouncer. This led to him meeting Claire, a young woman from a well off family. A little over a year later, their daughter, Amelia was born. This however would only prolong Torith and Claire's relationship by a few years. As Amelia got older, Torith and Claire's differences would eventually come to a boiling point. By the time Amelia became old enough for schooling, their arguments came to a climax and they split up. Although Torith fought for custody of his daughter, the cost of going up against Claire's family resources left him with a sizeable debt, a hole in the wall studio apartment, alimony payments, and bi-weekly visitation rights.

Accepted, the different aspects of his ability are close enough together that I'm happy to consider them as a single power... although I'm not too sure what you mean by 'indomitable will'. Is he naturally resistant to mental attacks or something? Also, I think you may have messed up your BBcode a little - I couldn't see the backstory until I quoted the post.
 
He has a lot of determination which causes him not to give up easily. Also, it means he is hard to control to a degree. I noticed, I'll fix the bbcode. Thanks! :)

Appearance: Delilah may be the shortest GLASS member standing at 5'2. She has an hourglass figure, toned but not to muscular. She has hazel eyes, and dark red hair. It's been dyed of course, as her natuarl hair color is a dirty blonde. She has a few scars here and there, most notiable a think scar on her left temple. It's from where a bullet grazed her. There's another gun shot scar on her left shoulder.

Personality: Rather standoffish, angry, and untrusting, Delilah isn't what you would call a friendly person. She doesn't talk much, and would much rather punch things than solve problems. And then ignore the problems she can't punch. This may also stem from the fact she's pretty depressed and this is the only way she can cope without drinking til she passed out. You know, violently. But, once you get to know her, and she opens up, she's actually a pretty chill person. She likes to read, sing, and she has a pet cat named Jamie. She does suffer from mild PTSD, but after the shit she's been through, it's expected right. She deals with this in her own however, and doesn't want to let people know or to have help. Which isn't good for her. She just really needs a hug and some friends.

Power: Super Strength: A rather cliche power which Delilah has the pleasure to have. It's pretty self explanatory. She lift, punch, move, things that most humans can't, and even stuff that other supers with super strength can't. She's like Supergirl times 10. And while this also increases her endurance and stamina, she can only move at normal human speeds. Though she can jump pretty high. Her skin is tough and a durable, but soft to the touch so it's not like a lizard or whatever. This just helps it not get all messed up when she lifts.

Weaknesses:
  • Delilah can't trust many people, and even those she does, she is still wary of them.
  • She she pushes herself beyond her limits trying to improve, but it's not always a good thing. She often exhausts herself.
  • She would much rather charge in than come up with plans
  • There's a super put there who can trigger flashbacks, panic attacks, and so much more due to his power. He's the one person she's utterly terrified of.

Background: Delilah is the daughter of a freelance artist and a military man. Being an only child, she was alone for most of her child hood, seeing as how her parents either didn't care enough to make time for her, or completely forgot about her until they got home. And even then they didn't pay much attention to her. This neglect, followed by the abuse which started around the age of 10, is the reason she ran away. She somehow managed to make her way to Hale, where she was taken in by a kind couple. These two were military as well, and while she debated on leaving again, She stayed once she realized they weren't like her parents. Plus, they were both supers. Delilah liked them, and eventually grew to love them. They taught her her how to fight, how to handle her powers, it was great. However, four years later, Delilah was alone again. They were just going out for some drinks with their friends, and it ended with their funeral. She had been left alone again. Shipped off to an orphanage, this is really where it started going down hill. Grieving, and alone, She soon realized that this wasn't the place for it. The people who ran the place were the worst things to ever live, and she was the only super there. She could only take a few months before she left. Out on the streets, Delilah honed her skills and control over her strength. And as soon as she turned 16, She joined the military seeing it as the only way off the streets. Many people questioned why someone so young joined willfully, and I'm not sure if she ever told them why. Two years ago was her last tour before she was asked to join GLASS. Her, and a small strike team were just doing some recon before it all went to hell. Her memory of what happened is pretty blurry, maybe the adrenaline or absolute fear hindered it. The official reports say she carried the survivors out to safety, while somehow managing to fight back. She joined GLASS once she recovered entering at C rank until she learned how it worked, and was then moved to V Rank.

Background: Let's keep this short. Delilah is the daughter of a freelance artist and a military man. Being an only child, she was alone for most of her child hood, seeing as how her parents either didn't care enough to make time for her, or completely forgot about her until they got home. Eventually, they stopped comming home at all, and it was only a little later in life did she find out why. She joined GLASS as soon as she could, and revived a pretty decent welcome. Some people don't like her because of either her being a super, or her personality.

Simon is a snide, bitter piece of a misanthrope. He hates people and believes that humanity as a whole will never amount to more than the sum of its parts. He has a bad habit of seeing the evil that people do more clearly than the good, which means that he also has grown to be generally distrusting of those around him, not to mention any kind of authority. He can make exceptions for individuals, but in his worldview, a large group of people will never amount to more than the worst of their collective traits. This has resulted in an anarchistic philosophy, where he believes that the world would be better off if everyone were to fend for themselves, without any governing bodies to tell them how to act or feel. He is feverishly devoted to these ideals and is trying to incite revolution, toppling the "tyrants" in charge. The first step of this is to remove GLASS from the City of Lightning, as he finds their presence proof that they're transforming into a police state. He is impulsive, self-absorbed and refuses to listen to the words of others, clearly considering himself everyone else's superior for "figuring out the truth".

Power
Explosive Skin; By concentrating on any portion of his body, Simon may supercharge that patch of skin before causing a blast of heat and concussive force to explode from that area of himself. The heat and shockwave can both prove fatal if powerful enough and the intensity of the blast varies depending on how big an area he supercharged. At the bare minimum, he could make his fingertips spark with the force of a common firecracker (hardly lethal at all), while a detonation from his whole palm has about the force of a military-grade concussion grenade (casualty radius of about two meters). The blast resulting in him supercharging his whole body could destroy a city block (casualty radius of roughly 300 meters).

Mastery of Power
Mastered in use, considering its very simple concept. He has yet to get creative in the application of it, however.

  • Athleticism: Simon is athletic. He's a fast runner, skilled climber, impressive swimmer and has praiseworthy stamina.
  • Combat Experience: Simon was never trained professionally, but he has done what he has needed to do to survive. Simply put, he's been in bar fights before, he's dealt with other criminals and has fended off security. He knows his way in a fight, using a self-taught, pragmatic style.
  • Relentless: Simon just does not know when to quit. His passion can be a weakness, but he also possesses a ridiculous amount of willpower that allows him to push on in the face of ridiculous strain, often to a suicidal degree. One gets the impression that he doesn't care for his own well-being, which can be a weakness, but also means that he won't stop when most should. He just keeps going.
Limits
While he is immune to the concussive force and burns of his own explosions, Simon's body does still take damage from the recoil of his blasts. As such, too powerful blasts can and often do hurt him in turn, breaking bones if the blasts are too great, meaning he has to be very careful about how much skin he supercharges for a blast at a time. Furthermore, every explosion does break away a thin layer of skin and flesh from the area where it occurs, meaning that he can leave himself with large, bleeding patch-like wounds on his body if he keeps charging the same part of his body repeatedly.

Weaknesses
The explosions Simon create are really caused by flash-heating part of himself. Thus, the cold is his greatest weakness. If properly cooled down, his explosions will be a lot weaker than they should and if frozen badly enough, he won't even be able to create a blast at all.

Simon was born in poverty, to a single mother in the Hale slums. He never knew his father and was later in life told that his mother did not truly know who of her fleeting dates had fathered him. From an early age, he was a problem child, getting violent with other children over petty disputes, stealing from stores and getting mixed up with wholly the wrong kind of people. He had his first smoke when he was eleven years old, got truly drunk for the first time when he was twelve and lost his virginity when he was thirteen. Doing what he could to support his mother, he gave up studying around that same age and instead began working a multitude of odd jobs to support his household, none of them fully legal. He was fifteen years old when his powers first emerged, as he got himself into a fight over a drug run that he had agreed to be part of with one of the local gangs. In self-defense, he detonated his palms, the concussive blasts killing the gangsters on his case.

Though initially terrified, the sudden new power flipped a switch in Simon's mind. He figured that he could finally do something about the way the world was, right wrongs, get back at the rotten world that had handed him nothing but dirt his entire life. He transformed from a scared child into the anarcho-terrorist "MK3", using spray cans to tag his new alias wherever he chose to strike. With his new explosive abilities, he began destroying any infrastructure that he associated with those in control, GLASS most of all. Revolution was here, and he considered himself its spearhead.​

Personality
Manuel is a serious, disciplined professional above all else. With military experience behind him, he is well-versed in the proper code of conduct on the field and expects everyone around him to behave like the trained professionals that they are. Many would consider him bossy when on the field, but ultimately, it amounts to that he knows how dangerous the battlefield can be and that he refuses to let folly cost him human lives. He adheres to a strict code of "better safe than sorry".

When not on the field, however, this changes. Manuel becomes a very relaxed individual, preferring to enjoy himself with a good book, a smoke and a good glass of liquor, rather than any all too intensive or action-filled activities. In such relaxed situations, he can be amiable and pleasant. Casual but polite, he has a way to make others at ease. Some could describe him as fatherly, even.

Quirks

He appears to always need a source of sound around him, even if it just the loud ticking of a clock. He does not deal well with silence. He is also afraid of darkness and sleeps with a nightlight, to his great embarrassment.

Power
Power Nullification; Manuel just recently discovered his extraordinary ability to cancel the powers of others. His touch negates other powers or shuts down any effect reliant on a power. This means that as long as he maintains skin-to-skin contact with another powered individual, they cannot use their powers at all and are for all intents and purposes normal people. Using this ability, he can even grab otherwise intangible power-users, "ripping" them back into physical form. This also makes him effectively immune to any "lasting" power effects that are explicitly power-based. That is, he will still be burned by power-conjured flames, because the heat of that fire is not reliant on a superpower, and he can be pushed by a telekinetic shockwave since kinetic force does not simply stop even if the source of the push disappears, but if he was hit by a petrification ray he would nullify the effect and would not turn into stone, since that would require the power to "stick" to him in a clearly supernatural way. As a byproduct of this, his body can easily break through any barrier or force field generated by a power, since he simply "shuts down" that barrier when he touches it, easily letting him phase through it.

Power Mastery Level
N/A, it's just something he does by touching things, not much of a learning curve there.

Limits
To shut down a power or a powered effect, he must touch that which he intends to nullify somehow. There is no way for him to make it occur from a range, he must touch the intended target. Skin-to-skin contact is a must if it involves touching another person. Furthermore, for better and worse, he is completely immune to telepathy. Telepaths simply cannot form a link with him. This is obviously handy to avoid having his mind read, but he can also not get often useful information from allied telepaths, as his power nullification is always on. He cannot shut it off.

Born as the third child and first son of an old farming couple in Murray County, Minnesota, Manuel grew up in a conservative, traditional American family home. His upbringing was fairly mundane, he developed an interest for the army early and when he graduated and applied for conscription, his family supported him the entire way. After going through the obligatory training, he was deployed to Iraq, where he served for 14 months during the surge, where he was eventually wounded and medically discharged. Luckily, he made a full recovery after a minor surgery.

Once back in the Americas, it did not take long before he was called back into service. This time, it was to partake in the GLASS initiative to counter the sudden emergence of superpowers around the City of Lightning. At the time, he thought himself a perfectly normal, non-powered individual, as did everyone else. He was discovered to be anything but a few months after that. Fighting a local, extremely powerful superpowered terrorist, Manuel was struck by a projectile that threw him into a so-called "Time Void", a small pocket dimension of displaced time that acted as a place for the terrorist to banish their enemies. It was a black void of no light, air, time or sound. Complete nothingness, in which Manuel spent an indefinite amount of "time" if it can even be called that. The sensory breakdown caused by being stuck in what can literally be described as "nothing" sent him into a panic attack, which triggered the activation of his own powers. He suddenly shut down the Time Void around him, emerging back onto the field after what to the outside world was only a minute or two. To him, he did not know exactly how long it had been, but he still has nightmares of the event.

After the incident, Manuel was spent off-duty for several months, going through extensive therapy to deal with the existential terror that he had undergone. Still, he has medication to avoid further panic attacks now and ways to deal with the resulting phobias. He was eventually cleared by his psychiatrist and he was put back to action in GLASS. He was going to secure this city, no matter what it cost him.​

Manuel becomes a very relaxed individual, preferring to enjoy himself with a good book, a smoke and a good glass of liquor, rather than any all too intensive or action-filled activities. In such relaxed situations, he can be amiable and pleasant. Casual but polite, he has a way to make others at ease. Some could describe him as fatherly, even.

He appears to always need a source of sound around him, even if it just the loud ticking of a clock. He does not deal well with silence. He is also afraid of darkness and sleeps with a nightlight, to his great embarrassment.

Power Nullification; Manuel just recently discovered his extraordinary ability to cancel the powers of others. His touch negates other powers or shuts down any effect reliant on a power. This means that as long as he maintains skin-to-skin contact with another powered individual, they cannot use their powers at all and are for all intents and purposes normal people. Using this ability, he can even grab otherwise intangible power-users, "ripping" them back into physical form. This also makes him effectively immune to any "lasting" power effects that are explicitly power-based. That is, he will still be burned by power-conjured flames, because the heat of that fire is not reliant on a superpower, and he can be pushed by a telekinetic shockwave since kinetic force does not simply stop even if the source of the push disappears, but if he was hit by a petrification ray he would nullify the effect and would not turn into stone, since that would require the power to "stick" to him in a clearly supernatural way. As a byproduct of this, his body can easily break through any barrier or force field generated by a power, since he simply "shuts down" that barrier when he touches it, easily letting him phase through it.

Hey, what would happen if someone else who could cancel powers touched him?
They would probably cancel out one another, I'd imagine. So neither of them could cancel any other power than eachothers', and both of them would be shut off until they let go of each other.

Hey, what would happen if someone else who could cancel powers touched him?

There is actually another power nullifier in the RP, so this is something that might actually come up at some point. Her ability is a little different, though, so we'll see how that works out...

She's very flirtatious with everyone especially the people that try to stop her. Though she's also the sweet kind of girl if you can get on her good side (which no one wants to do). If you get to know her really well she becomes a sort of shy and clumsy girl but still wouldn't hesitate to let off a grenade in your face if you do something wrong to her.

In terms of her powers she's only had about as much power as a V2 rocket but the porential is what gives her the nicknames, though even if she actually got the energy of a nuclear weapon she'd never actually use it all at once, more in small bursts to slowly dispel it. She thinks it would be boring to just end it all at once and much rather prefers the normal acts of slow destruction and chaos

Weaknesses:
As stated before her kryptonite is her mental stability and how her mind can easily be broken
She can expend all her energy if worked hard enough, though that takes time and she can quickly replenish it if she can find a power source or any other form of energy she can get

Mostly okay... but I'm not a big fan of having a character that is totally indestructible, mental instability or not. I'd say either make her just indestructible (and leave out energy absorption entirely), or limit her actual powers a bit more (maybe a reasonably large explosion is her absorption limit).

Alright I guess. I'll put some more limits to abilities I guess. Can I ask a question though if you don't mind? Plus it's the energy absorption that makes her indestructible
