You have to play out the scene first, gotta have brains, charm, and only lastly, confidence. If you just drunkenly amble over towards a girl who was staring at you because you were a grade-A wack, you'll be clapped by the cops. You need to work out the scene, whether it's absolutely consensual or not, and then you approach her — make up your most suave voice, act like a real gentleman, and don't ramble. Bonus points if you're wearing zoot shoes.
