Kanta stopped before they entered and told him with a sad voice," You don't have to be alone...........master....." Her eyes looked down at the ground sadly, almost crying.
 
He turned around when he heard the sadness in her voice and smiled, placing a cold hand on her cheek. He kissed her forehead before whispering "Even you will leave me one day....." he said softly
 
She shivered at his touch and tears started to fall from her eyes. Kanta's hand squeezed his tighter and she whispered back," I...I don't want to........."
 
Dark caught her tears and looked at her, one eyebrow raised. "And how will you defy death?" he asked her gently as he guided her inside and closed the door, shrouding them in darkness
 
" There's only one way....." Kanta told him her voice still quiet but she shook it off, continuing," No....I can't do that....It's selfish of me..." She began to walk up the stairs to her room. She wanted to be with him but was it really worth not aging....or ever knowing what it was like to be older.
 
With that said, Dark knew exactly what she was talking about and he shrugged. "I guess, but it'll be entirely up to you whether you want me to change you or not" he told her gently as she walked towards her room
 
Kanta stopped at the top of the stairs, holding onto the rail tightly. She began to feel dizzy, swaying back and forth. Falling to her knees, she leaned against the rail trying to steady her breathing.
 
Dark sensed something was wrong and within a matter of seconds he was next to Kanta, placing a hand on her shoulder. "Are you alright?" he asked her gently, helping her to her feet
 
She took his hand, standing slowly to her feet. Kanta looked at him and smiled," I'm fine....Just tired....I feel so drained.." She leaned on him for a moment then stood straight, hoping she was just tired.
 
"I've taken too much blood from you. That's why you feel drained" he explained, helping herto her room. "You must rest, I'll do any work that needs to be done" he told her softly
 
" If I wasn't a mortal then this wouldn't happen. Don't worry about anything okay......" She answered trying to stand still for a moment. Kanta then leaned on him again, closing her eyes, asking," Did you ever have someone you loved, Master Dark? " Kanta's words were sincere as she walked into the bedroom, sitting down slowly.
 
Dark seemed to stiffen slightly when she asked if he had ever loved anyone. "....Yes. I did. Many years ago. She was my fiance, and..... And she was killed by the same vampires who killed me..... But she didn't turn." he told her, sitting on the bed next to her
 
Kanta's eyes saddened more as she listened and she took his hand again, sitting up. She tried to figure out what words she should say, answering quietly," Are you worried that.....my brother could possibly hurt me?"
 
Dark nodded once. "Yes. I am. You remind me a lot of my Elizabeth...... Except her hair was as black s a raven's wing" he smiled slightly at her. "Not the beautiful pink of yours"
 
" Is it possible for another vampire to turn a human even if they have already been bitten by another?......" The question was blunt but she wanted to get her point across to Dark. She wanted to know if her brother was able to hurt her in the way that seemed most obvious. Even if he could....she wouldn't let Blake turn her.
 
"Yes it is possible, but if the human has the mark of the other vampire then it is almost like stealing property. Not that I think of you as property of course" he told her gently
 
She nodded, understanding what he meant. Kanta never took any offense of what he had just explained to her. Basically if Blake turned her, he pretty much stole her from Dark. Of course, Kanta doesn't want her brother to take her life from her under any circumstance. She knew how he would act around her, Blake being the unstable one in the family.


" I understand Master Dark. I'm afraid of my brother......He's unstable....More unstable than Vincent......" She explained to him looking away, her eyes showing her fear.
 
"Vincent? I recognize that name......" he murmured before putting a large black wing around her shoulders. "I will protect you Kanta. Don't you worry..." he told her
 
" Vincent is Blake's Father....my step father.....head of the vampire clan in Northern Europe. " She answered feeling his wing around her," Master it's not that I doubt you.....just....I'm worried how my brother will react..."
 
He nodded. Mhm. I thought I remembered that name. And if your step brother decided to start a war against me, well I may be one vampire but I have friends in many places" he said with a wink
 
"You never know with vampires. Sometimes they can do really stupid things!" he said with a laugh, folding his wings against his back
