Dark looked at her. "Rest. You'll need your energy for school tomorrow" he told her, lightly running the back of his hand down her cheek. With that, he stepped back and began to leave to room, willing to stay here if she asked him to
 
Kanta reached her hand out to him and grasped his cold one tightly. She gave a light tug on it, signalling that she wanted Dark to stay with her. " If you don't mind master....I'd like it if you stayed in here with me...." Her fingers tightened on his gently, her eyes growing tired.
 
Dark smiled slightly and sat on the bottom of the bed. "Alright Kanta, I'll stay here... Now sleep, you need your rest" he said gently, stretching out across the bottom of the bed
 
Dark closed his eyes and, eventually, he too fell asleep.

Later, once Dark awoke, he saw some early morning light filtering through the curtains. He huffed and rolled over, poking her side. "Wakee up" he mumbled into the pillow
 
Dark shook his head, his blue hair a complete mess. "Nothing's wrong. You just have school today" he mumbled, remembering that it was Friday
 
She sat up slowly and rubbed her eyes slightly, then looked to Dark with another question," Is there anything you need me to do before I go, Master Dark? " Kanta went to the bathroom to straighten up her hair.
 
Dark thought for a moment before touching the music note on her neck. "Yes.... Would you be alright if I took some more blood? Or are you still feeling weak from the last time?"
 
Kanta turned around to face him, putting her hand on his and nuzzled his face softly with her nose," I don't mind, Master Dark. I am alright. Don't worry about me. " She closed her eyes leading him over to the bed, sitting them both down.
 
Dark smiled slightly. "I will bite next to my mark. That way it won't hurt you" he told her before biting down and beginning to feed
 
Kanta looked away, letting him feed off of her and let out a soft sigh. At least it didn't hurt her when he did. She pulled him back, him over her holding him closer. She didn't expect this to feel so good either.


Kanta ran her fingers in his hair, asking as she let out another content sigh," How long has it been? Before me I mean? "
 
Dark extracted his fangs from her neck before licking over the wounds with a sigh. "Since I had last fed? About a month. I was beginning to feel rather weak" he said with a sigh. "But now you are here"
 
Dark watched her leave and he smiled. "That music note is definitely going to be noticed by her friends..... I wonder what they'll think it is?" he murmured to himself, closing the heavy door once she had left
 
As the day passed, Kanta hadn't said a word to any of her friends about the day before. More like they steered clear of her. After school was over with, she walked out of the building as one of the boys in her class, Ryou, asked as he yelled out to her," Hey Kanny! Wait up! I heard about yesterday! Are you hurt?"


Kanta pulled her hair over so he couldn't see the mark Dark left on her, while answering with a smile," No I'm fine, Ry. "


He walked with her and asked again," So did you see him? "


Kanta's blood ran cold (excuse the pun) and she shook her head, shrugging," No. I guess the rumors aren't true. " Ryou wrapped an arm around her shoulders and leaned in close to her ear," Are you sure you didn't see anything? "


She pushed him away roughly," I'm sure, Ryou! Now get off of me! "
 
Dark had been bored, so he had pulled on his hooded cape and walked through the town to the school. When it ended, he stepped onto the property and saw Kanta with a guy. He walked over to them before bowing and holding out an arm for Kanta. "Miss" he said simply with a sharp-toothed smile that would easily have been seen by her.
 
Kanta looked back at Ryou and took Dark's arm, walking close to him not taking a second look back as she answered," Thank you. Ryou I'm sorry I have to go. " She waited til they were away from the property and whispered to him," You have perfect timing, you know that master? "
 
Dark chuckled softly as they walked. "Indeed. What kind of a vampire would I be if I didn't have perfect timing?" he said softly in reply, smirking slightly. "Although I must admit, the sun was a little too bright for my liking"
 
Kanta looked away blushing a little, answering him," You didn't have to come out in the sun for me? Why did you do it, Master Dark? " Her eyes looked into his concerned.
 
He shrugged at her question. "I was bored and felt like taking a walk. And, although it was bright, I enjoyed it" he said with a smile. This must have looked rather odd, a school girl walking next to a dark cloaked figure.
 
Dark shrugged. "I heard you say the rumors weren't true. You know, you don't have to protect me. I kind of miss the days when the villagers sacrificed people to me" he said with a chuckle
 
Her eyes narrowed and she immediately felt sad. Kanta knew he was still a vampire and she wanted to keep her promise to Dark. Her fingers intertwined with his and she replied," I want to keep my promise, Dark......I not only care about my friends but you as well.........."
 
Dark squeezed her hnd. "I am dead. In a few years everyone in this town will be too, but the next generation, your generations grandchildren, will be the people in this town. I, however, will not have aged at all. I've seen a lot of people I've cared about die..... And all the while I've been alone" he said almost sadly before entering his mansion
