Even though vampires didn't need sleep, Nate found himself longing for a nap now more than he ever had before. Even as a human, he was sure. Everything was just too much, and he could still feel the slight touch of euphoria running through his veins from feeding off of Lily. The others were stupid to leave her alone with him; who's to say he wouldn't lose control, like he almost had? If it hadn't been for Sam pulling him off of Lily earlier, he was sure he would have killed her.
He frowned at the thought, wishing someone was around to punch him in the face. He sensed a presence at the door just then, and without looking knew it was Sam. Sam wouldn't do it. Nate didn't even look his way, and Sam ended up moving on after a few seconds time. Nate glanced at the empty doorway and sighed, his eyes shifting back to the sleeping Lily.
He must have dozed, or at least gotten very lost in his thoughts, because next thing he knew the blonde was waking. His eyes snapped open and he nodded to answer her question. He did open his mouth to tell her that no, she hadn't made that much of a fool of herself, but before he could get the words out she was gone to shower.
Heaving a sigh he stood from the chair, ambling out into the hallway. The vampires were gathering downstairs, he could hear them. Although a part of him wanted to be alone, a part of him also didn't want to be up here alone with the girls. He headed downstairs just as Teddy led the two delivery drivers inside, Duncan promptly appearing to knock them out.
Surprised to see that Duncan let the others go before him, he realized for the first time that no, he wasn't hungry. He'd gotten plenty from Lily. He hung out around the edge of the room though, finding a strange comfort in the presence of the others. When the girls appeared, smelling like loveliness instead of blood, Nate offered them a small smile but didn't speak.
