I was more so asking like... am I supposed to start the thread or do I just say we can start? And where should I post the rules like that? I know specifics, I’m just unsure of How to/who should be starting lol
I have experience with hosting group RP’s.
Common things to ask yourself:
- What’s the setting? Before the festival? During the festival? (i.e. The exact timestamp.)
- Do I want everyone in the same location? Or should I grant free reign? (e.g. Character A is taking a walk downtown and Character B is visiting a café.)
- Should I post the starter and set the tone?

Gotcha. GM's typically post the official IC thread.
Once the thread is up, you have the option to post the starter or let someone else make the first post. (i.e. It depends on your preference.)
If you let someone else make the starter, you need to establish: are we all suppose to be in a specific location? Or are we given free reign? Is the setting before the festival starts? Or during the festival? (i.e. These details will be mentioned in the introductory post when you create the thread.)
The IC thread would be subjected to the rules you've set for the RP. You have the option to add more rules. (e.g. No godmodding, metagaming, powerplaying)
The rules can be posted in the intro when you create the thread.
