Nathan read over the messages from Evelyn giggling a lightly at each of the poo emojis. As the last message came in he sighed with a roll of his eyes carefully considering how to respond. “ i mean i guess he has done something nice for me once.. but that doesn’t really mean much when he is mean all the other times... and like you always say that he wasn’t always like this but i just don’t get it... i don’t see how he could have ever been different its like being mean comes so easy to him like he’s always been that way... How do you forget how to be nice? I just don’t get it?”
He typed quickly his fingers just letting all the thoughts in his head out causing the text to ramble a bit.

After a short pause Nathan smiled sending another text. “ But I guess i just have to trust you and hope that maybe he can “remember” how to be nice. 😁” after sending his final text Nathan quickly finished his toast setting the plate in the sink before quickly rushing to the couch plopping down childishly next to Evelyn. He settled in to watch Ben 10 which truly was one of his favorite American cartoons. He did however reach across Evelyn grabbing the remote to turn on subtitles.

Asher left Felix's room eyes locked to the boy with rage until the door was slammed in his face. Asher placed a hand on his still aching stomach as he turned down the hall heading towards his room. As he walked he felt something running down his face then tasted blood in the corner of his mouth he searched for the blood's source finding that his brow was indeed busted and bleeding decently. Man that shrimp can punch He thought as he turned the handle to his door and slipped inside. Sitting on his bed Asher looked to himself in the mirror. Man i'm a freaking mess he commented seeing the blood covered right side of his face, his hair all over the place from the scuffle and his overall presence being that of a hallow shell. Why? Why did I do that? That was so stupid now look at yourself!! DO YOU PLAN ON BEING THIS STUPID FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE OR?!? How? how could you think barging into his room and screaming at him was a good idea! That was literally as far from a good Idea as you can possibly get! Sure you were upset cause you were in trouble but whos fault was that? Not the kid you decided to pick a fight with that's for sure!! No matter how he thought about it Asher's own brain was against him and not just because of the fight but also how he treated Felix before that minutes into arriving and Asher threatened him. That was just awful and he knew it. "DAMN!! The little shrimp still didn't have to cheap shot me though!" He told himself still trying to harbor anger for the twelve year old.

Asher grabbed a first aid kit from his drawer doing his best to close/cover his wound repeating any reason he could think of to be mad at Felix rather than himself. Eventually managing to convince himself slightly of some convoluted reason to at least be upset with Felix. However he knew if he wanted any kind of freedom within probably the next month he would have to at least try and play nice with Felix when they are forced to be around each other. Plopping back on his bed Asher just stared up at the celling for awhile thinking about... Well everything. Eventually just shaking his head " I guess this is just who I am... I was kidding myself last night with those stupid ideas about changing myself about being better... I'm Just an ass, just.... just scum of the earth might as well just accept that and move on with my life." Asher's assessment was of course wrong and would defiantly be worrying had anyone been around to hear it but in that moment he was just content with it. He was truly over the emotional rollercoaster he had been on the last 25 odd hours and simply coming to that assessment gave him a way to throw all the emotions aside and move on. Regardless of how potentially dangerous those thoughts might actually be for him and the progress he had been trying to make.

Felix just laid there in his new bed, wrapped up tightly in a near cocoon of heavy blankets. A shield from seeing the outside. A slight catharsis from trading blows mellowing the red-hot anger towards Asher, leaving a void for his upset and unstable preadolescent emotions to take hold. Stupid, stupid, jerkface bullies! Been here like a day and already I'm trouble. Felix pulled the covers tighter around himself. What is that idiot's problem!? How could he expect to threaten someone like that right after the boss lady left the room and for him not to get in trouble... Yet despite his attempts to mentally stay angry and fight back, the boy's emotional armor had cracked as tears continued welling up on his face - a small stream and soon a river beginning to wet his pillow, and the fuzzy hood of his PJs. Thought's that weren't Felix's own, the haunting voices and fears regarding his situation and family began to take centre stage in the boy's mind replacing any rationale attempt to clear his head.

Ash's words echo'd loudly in his head as if put through an guitar amp. YOU SHORT LITTLE INCONVENIENCE OF A HUMAN. NO WONDER NOBODY WANTED TO TAKE YOU IN.... Those same words echoing again, and again, overspilling the dam of tears more and more. Those same words echoed louder and louder no matter what Felix did to try and quiet them - drawing and twisting in the kid's mind off the same paralysing fear that his parent's infighting did before. It made Felix just want to escape this place, just run away and... And.. Felix didn't know what but deep down part of him did. He could do it - most of his stuff is still packed. He could grab his bags, sneak out and just run away.
Maybe Mom was right all along.. And maybe he's was right just now. I'm just a mistake. Nobody wants me... That is why I'm here BECAUSE nobody wants me. Felix obviously didn't have a clue here to go. It was one of those spiteful thoughts to run away that kids have that very rarely turn to reality - though in his case it was far closer to a reality than was safe. The tears having run dry and with it Felix's emotions were just dead. What willpower to try and fight these thought spent and eroded.

It'd been the full hour already - Felix's tears were long run dry. Felix's eye had already began to turn a deep red from Asher's blow, and his cheeks red from all the crying. Felix committing himself as he eventually sat himself back up. He was going to do it. He was just going to leav- *bzz-zzts* Felix gave an incredulous look at his phone as it vibrated on his desk, how dare it interrupt him trying to psyche himself up!
Felix got up, holding his side as he did so as the actually pretty serious pain from Asher putting all his weight on Felix's ribs kicking in. He check on his phone, and what turned out to be a fairly boring notification anyway - yet as he dismissed it away he was left with his photo gallery still open and the selfie of himself and Nathan from last night stared back at him. The two boys giving that goofy expressions to the camera. Felix just letting out an incoherent and annoyed groan to the air. "dang it..." Muttering under his breath; the plans to run away immediately thwarted - at least for the moment. He was not going to simply let Asher win at getting rid of him. He had made a promise to go to the beach and give Nathan another lesson. He could run away after that but he wasn't going to simply break his promise that quickly.

Felix despite having done his hair and cleaned up this morning, still looked a bit like a zombie as he got himself ready. He was pale, the reddened black-eye very visible, and very little emotion showed on the twelve-year olds face, there was just this a void where normally Felix would be overloaded with enthusiasm. A defeated depressed expression on his face. He really couldn't feel much either. Everything felt cold. Nothing felt like it really mattered now - The boy entirely fuelled by just that tiny spark generated from his promise, and ignited with a faint spark of spite towards everyone else himself included. He was told to wear something he didn't mind getting wet so just chucked on his swim trunks since he'd be wearing them later anyway, along with his basketball jersey and made his way to the door to find where Mrs Boss-lady was for these chores. He was like 10 minutes late already and expected to get yelled at but he couldn't care at this point...

Evelyn chose not to say more about Asher, again it wasn't her place nor did she enjoy gossiping about the other kid's just for the sake of it. She'd seen Asher at his best, and at his worse - and given his recent breakout and sudden replacement of Jordan there was no telling how he might respond to stuff. Though she did swear for a moment she could hear him shouting for a moment there.
Evelyn happily sat back for the next hour though with Nathan, just chillin' watching this cartoon. It seemed Nathan liked it a lot, seeming to smile and laugh along with certain amusing moments and getting really into it when the exciting fights between Ben and the aliens happened. She'd watched a few cartoons with Nathan before like this but she'd never seen him this into a show before. She couldn't help but smile a bit peering to him, occasionally signing him questions as the show went on asking who certain characters were or what certain aliens could do. Evelyn already had picked up plenty of this from the prior few minutes of watching, and from just obvious hints into the show itself but it didn't hurt her to indulge Nathan a bit since he seemed to enjoy it. "So he found that watch in a satellite from space..? And it lets him turn into aliens but can't take it off. Now a bunch of bad aliens want the watch that he can't take off..? And a bunch of weirdos keep making trouble.?" This all did give her a bit of an idea for another next drawing that could be fun... "You got a favourite alien?" She signed with a subtle but amused look.

Throughout the hour however Evelyn's eyes did dart repeatedly to the door and hallway outside, and to the Kitchen as kids came in and out. As usual while she often spaced out she did note one thing - a lack of a certain pancake thief and boy-replacement for Asher. Honestly Evelyn' might not have cared before - but the fact Asher had taken such a liking, that made her curious. He seemed like a very shy kid, very quiet - not his normal type. It didn't seem like he had come downstairs best she could tell either.

As Ben10 came to a finish, she quickly gave Nathan a friendly sign 'That was fun.' Passing Nathan a quick sisterly smile as she headed to the Kitchen area - letting the preteen go off and do whatever he wanted, or watch more cartoons - didn't matter which. She wasn't in charge of babysitting anyone, not yet.

Quickly putting on some toast herself, grabbing some jam, a fresh apple and some juice putting together a small brunch tray. To Nathan she was clearly back in her own little world now the show was over, baring paying him much mind now. Evelyn also adding a second glass of juice to the tray - then nodding to herself before taking the tray heading out of the Kitchen with it and then up the stairs. Passing staff members and other kids buzzing around getting ready for this afternoon.
**KNOCK-KNOCK KNOCK-KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK-KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK** Moments later interrupting Jack's solitude with an unusual knock to the door, all done with her foot in a unique but soft off-beat rhythm she just made up. The older teen girl prepared to wait for quite a while if needed, and willing to repeat the knock if he didn't answer.
Once answered he'd see her there, with a inquisitive expression. "You didn't come down for breakfast?" Not really a question but giving that same rising tone as she implying stood there in his doorway with food and beverages in hand.

Jack had been sitting in his room alone, quietly scrolling on his phone laying in his bed for the past few minutes now. The silence was occasionally interrupted by the groaning of his stomach, as he would clutch it, feeling the pains of hunger. Jack rolled over onto his side, one hand holding his phone and scrolling, the other clutching his belly. The boy figured that he was willing to sacrifice himself and suffer through the temporary pain of hunger before he went down to grab a quick bite to eat when everyone was outside and not in the house. Jack laid on his bed, certainly not expecting anything to disturb him or interrupt him. But unfortunately for the young brown haired boy, he would be sorely mistaken.

An odd and unexpected knock on his door would spoil his plans to avoid any and all social contact for the day. His heart leapt as he shot up in his bed, his eyes now as wide as saucers. Jack perked up and listened closely. He heard the calm and comforting voice of a teen girl, a voice he had not really heard before. The voice was kind and concerning, almost motherly. It reminded Jack of the way his mother would speak to him outside of his door when he would lock himself away in his room. Normally, Jack wouldn't answer, but there was something about the voice, the pure concern in it, that made him inclined to at least give the voice a warranted answer.

"I- I'm not hungry," the boy replied softly. Jack assumed that they must have found out that he never came down for breakfast, something that was unlike the boy (and unlike that of many of the other kids). Usually, all of the kids came down for breakfast, happy to fill their bellies with food, thankful that they had the opportunity to do so.

[Mrs. Richardson was waiting for the boys out front as the hour came to and end. Neither of the boys had shown up yet but she decided to give them a chance rather than just assuming they were trying to skip out after all they had both had quiet the morning. Ten minutes later Felix arrived she tried to give a nice warm smile but could tell the young boy was not happy. Not happy with the situation and not happy with her. To be Honest she couldn't even blame him first she upset Asher and had him verbally assaulting Felix because of it and now she was punishing the boy for defending himself. But Mrs. Richardson knew she couldn't allow a fight to go unpunished had Asher thrown the first punch it would be a completely different story but as things sat know Felix needed a consequence as well. "oh good Felix I haven't seen Asher yet but I am sure he will be along shortly... However this does provide a perfect opportunity I wanted to have a little chat with you." She paused squatting down a bit to look Felix in the eyes. She smiled at him as she continued. " First I wanted to apologize for how I handled Asher the first time I should have known that was likely to just set him off and you would have to deal with the aftermath and I am sorry for that. Second I know you may not be happy with me right now and you may not trust me very much after what has happened but I need you to understand the reason we are doing this. I know this all seems unfair because you were just standing up for yourself and defending yourself from someone who was bullying you. But I need you to understand we cant tolerate fighting and since you did throw the first punch there has to be some kind of recourse for that action." She paused again allowing Felix to prosses what she had said so far. " further more I cant have you and Asher constantly fighting you both live here and whether you like each other or not doesn't matter you still have to find a way to be Civil with one another that doesn't mean you can't dislike him I just means the fighting can't continue. Lastly I am not upset with you okay I know you have been through a lot the last month and Asher probably just pushed you over the boiling point. We all make mistakes and I am not one to hold that against you I still care about you and how you are doing and I want you to enjoy your time here." with that Mrs. Richardson went quiet for several seconds before adding one final comment. " Do you have anything you want to say to me or any questions.... about anything.. anything at all?"]

Felix was surprised that Asher wasn't present - though maybe he shouldn't have been. This was basically no different to detention, and you hardly saw bullies making an effort to attend those either. Not that this surprise seemed to cheer him up at all. Despite Felix only having been here a day, the boy before her honestly wasn't acting anything like what she'd witnessed before or been told about in his file - the normally passionate, energetic and restless kid just was gone - replaced with a twelve year old who was a little slouched over, just kind of starting at the floor and almost seemed barely responsive. The life in the kid just sucked out of him.

As Mrs Richardson knelt down to try and meet Felix's gaze, the boy's not only distrust of her but just isolation became clear as he did his best to look away. Despite Mrs Richardson's obvious attempts at reconciliation, the boy's body language and expression had become almost scared and defensive - like someone expecting to get scolded, shouted at, and otherwise verbally assaulted. "...Knew you were on his side... like- like he started it. he started it both times.. i didn't do anything to him but.. -like..you'd rather I just let myself get beaten up by Asher..." Felix responded in a voice barely audible, warping the reasoning for his punishment in the worse light possible. Like he was just being told to be Asher's play thing, and through his mental fog not seeing any other way he could have responded other than the binary attack or be-attacked. To Felix he'd never approached Asher, he did nothing to provoke him. It's all his fault! Asher threatened to hurt me. He came after me. So why should I get punished!?! For all of her words of 'they need to get along under one roof' Felix felt just more targeted - not having done anything to Asher, not doing anything mean to him to begin with.

Felix was almost shaking a little, slight tears again forming in his eyes as Mrs Richardson kept talking. Her words trying to comfort him and informing him that she wasn't upset with him only prying open fresh wound in the boy's heart. He felt like his heart was going to break. Yet as she asked if he had anything to say to her, and pushed he just looked to the floor. Felix hated lying, he wanted to remain silent, but yet Felix even as broken as he felt right now still wasn't like that. Honest words of pain found their way out to display his feelings. "...Liar. It was just like that jer-... Asher said. Nobody want's me. Not my Mom, not my teachers, not CPS, not you... Now my Dad's gone, my friends are gone... Not even gonna be able to hang out at the beach like I promised Nathan.." Felix's words were still barely audible and he was practically on the verge of breaking out in full tears again. The twelve year old sniffling like a much a younger kid closer to his size might. Kid was well and truly emotionally broken. Feeling cornered, alone and like everybody was against him here...

Evelyn shook her head a little. Stubborn huh.
Unfortuantely for Jack, Evelyn' had nothing on her agenda today - not even fully committed to joining the party later she could just wait outside the younger teens room all day if she felt so inclined. Spending a moment contemplating what to say she spoke again, softly and almost disappointedly replying. "We'll it's a little late to tell me that now, given I've already made you some breakfast." As she spoke Evelyn went and put the tray of food and drink down on the floor, intentionally ensuring the sound of the tray, plate, and glasses gently clinking was audible.

"And it would be kind of a waste to just have to throw out food like this." Evelyn added in an attempt to add a little pressure for Jack to even open the door. "Especially given I can hear somebodies stomach growling from all the way out here." She couldn't, but she was also fairly sure she was right - playing on her natural role as one of the houses eldest - it was far from the first time she'd had to convince a kid to eat.
Evelyn's curiosity was now mixed with some genuine concern at his clear reluctance, this isn't the kind of house where you can get away with locking yourself away, physically at least. (socially was a different matter) Regardless neither really worked worked, too many kids here, too many people wanting to poke into everyone's business. Even Evelyn' as the local queen of feinted indifference herself having played and lost this game time and again.

Evelyn leaned herself against the doorway, ready for the long-haul of waiting him out if necessary, and equally ready to put her foot in the way if he tries to opening the door a crack to take the food. Jack was a new puzzle for the girl to solve, if he liked it or not.

Jack slowly got up and off of his bed, approaching the door. He cracked the door open just a tiny bit, so that only his head was peaking out. He looked like a nervous meerkat peaking his head out from his little hole. "What? How the hell could she hear my stomach? There's no way!" the boy thought to himself in his head. "Y- you did?" Jack asked softly and timidly, in reference to both the fact that she made him breakfast and the fact that she had supposedly heard his stomach growling. "This woman is some kind of physic!" Jack thought to himself. Of course, the young boy had no clue she was just pulling his leg and that this certainly wasn't her first rodeo in terms of getting a kid to eat something.

Jack smelled the sweet aroma of breakfast in the older girl's hands. It made Jack's stomach growl even more, and it made the boy desire breakfast even more. Jack plotted out his plan in his head, "I'll just ask for the food, take it, and close the door. She'll be none the wiser and probably will be outta my hair." Jack cleared his throat, "O- ok fine, c- can I have some breakfast then?" the young boy asked timidly. He stuck both of his hands out of the door, so now she could only see two little arms poking out of the slightly cracked open door, waiting for a plate of food to be placed in them. He was now positioned to the point where he couldn't see her, making an unwanted foot in the door an easy feat to accomplish now.

[Mrs. Richardson gently grabbed Felix by his shoulders Nothing but empathy filling her gaze. "Felix... Felix look at me! I am not on his side. I get defending yourself and I am glad you have the confidence to stand up for yourself that's not what this is about... I know you didn't antagonize him I know you didn't start it either time. But we have rules and one of those rules in no fighting and since you did throw a punch first there needs to be some kind of consequence... Besides this is also more than just that we can't have you two at each others throats all the time regardless of who starts it so I need you guys to find away to be around each other without a fight happening and I know a lot of that is on Asher but it involves you and we need this to work not just for me but for you too okay?" Mrs. Richardson just continued holding on to Felix's shoulders trying to show him that she cared and she supported him. She was really regretting how she had handled this entire situation and knew if she had been more carful about it a lot of this mess could have been avoided inside she was cursing herself for her hasty and reckless way of dealing with things.

Upon hearing Felix's quiet outburst of emotions she immediately pulled the twelve year old into a hug holding him tight whispering into his ear. "Felix buddy I swear to you I am not lying I truly do care about you that's why I do this job no matter how hard or stressful it might be sometimes and even tho I could get paid better somewhere else I do this because I care so much for every kid that comes through here and I just want to provide somewhere safe for them during this chapter in their life I want to give them what I never had when I lost my mom and dad. I want you here and I want you to be safe and have a place where you can get through this difficult point in your life. I may have just met you Felix but I do care about you and while I may not understand everything you are going through I can understand some of it I was about your age when I got put into the system. Now I understand If you are upset with me and thats fine but don't ever think I don't want you or that I don't care about you because that simply isn't the case." She paused for a moment just holding onto Felix letting him experience whatever emotions he needed to in that moment. After a good minute or so she puled away still holding Felix by the shoulder she then wiped his eyes with her sleeve and handed him a tissue if he needed it. She smiled as she looked at him. "Now as far as the beach goes if you can make me one promise and keep to that promise than I give you my word that you will still be able to go with Nathan. I will be close by while you and Asher do the chore I have for you so all you need to promise me is that you won't start anything and that if Asher starts anything you just call for me rather than fight back whether verbally or physically if you can promise me that then you will be able to go to the party okay?" she paused allowing Felix to reply. " Also I am glad you and Nathan seem to be getting along well I noticed you two spent most of the day together yesterday. I even heard you were teaching him how to skate that just seems crazy to me I would have never expected him to try something like that you must have made quite the impression on him! I'm glad you have already made a friend just do me a favor. Use that spunky attitude of yours that I saw yesterday and know is still in there to keep the both of you safe ok?" she lightly poked Felix on the nose giving a wide smile as she said spunky clearly trying to lighten the mood and cheer Felix up a bit. Mrs. Richardson stood looking at the time "where is that boy?" she questioned noticing Asher still had yet to arrive. ]

Shaking and crying Felix was just a mess right now as Mrs Richardson tried to console him, eventually pulling the boy into a hug. The young boy was non-responsive for a good and long while here, though he was no longer averting his eyes from her anymore - the physical contact, soft tone and attempts to snap him a little out of it having some effect as she attempted to try and both calm the boy down and tear through the warped perception of her being upset that she just wanted to scold him, shout at him, and discard him like every other adult in his life seems to have done. It normally would be an uphill battle against his stubbornness but to be honest Felix needed this. An adult just giving him that supportive hug, calling him buddy, and genuinely trying to understand him instead of criticize him.

Felix wanted to be angry at her, he still believed he was in the right - yet he couldn't. Felix taking the good minute or two she had offered to let out his tears as she spoke to him, and gave him chance to emotionally vent. "...You were in a home as well..?" This revelation in particular washing off any attempts his mind made to warp reality as he just started hugging Mrs Richardson back and tightly for a few moments, perhaps a little too tightly but again he needed this.

Felix wiped his own eyes as well as Mrs Richardon pulled back and laid down the promise to Felix - a spark in his eyes slightly relighting as she did such as while he was still pretty upset with this simple deal on the table and having vented all that pent up sadness the preteen didn't look quite so defeated anymore, a little life restored back in him. "...Yeah okay.. -I mean yeah! I promise." Felix attempting to force a strong if very clearly faked smile. "Nathan seems really cool. He was a scardy-cat when we started and I didn't think he'd do it either. But- he was just awesome and pushed past that! He also showed me a bunch of pictures he'd taken - and yeah.." His expression did light up a little bit as she spoke about Nathan, Felix almost blushing slightly though it doesn't appear he mentally registered such as she mentioned he'd made an impression. It was also very clear that not breaking his existing promise to Nathan clearly meant a lot to him, Even if it meant fighting his natural instinct to fight back, Felix was going to try.

The forced expression and unconscious blushing quickly being replaced with one of surprise, betrayal, and then genuine laughter as Mrs Richardson just poked Felix on the nose. "H-Hey!" Barking that out in playful defiance. Like hitting the restart button Felix was back, he wasn't happy about any of this but the outgoing energetic goofball seemed like he was back in control of himself.

Hook line and sinker. As Jack eventually cracked the door open it was clear her hunch was correct - not that it was a hard guess. Jack was pretty athletic and both on his arrival day and on Felix' enjoyed a heavy amount of her specialty pancakes; that kind of appetite was pretty predictable. Evelyn waiting for him, giving him time to process the smell and let Jack's hunger grow and before long he asked for the breakfast and opened the door further to allow for the tray to be handed through.

"Well I already made it for you, doubt the plants would be hungry for it." Evelyn smiled a cunning grin. She got herself up, and picked back up the breakfast tray she put on the floor. Moving and placing the tray in his hands, putting her foot in the door and then after just a moment - still holding the tray to ensure nothing spilt Evelyn boldly just pushed her weight against the door barging it fully open - smiling to herself as she instead went and placed the tray on Jack's desk instead of actually giving it to him. Fresh toast, fruit, some choices of spread, and the two drinks.

Evelyn just leaning against the desk with one hand as she briefly looked around the hockey-themed room. "Huh.. Knew you were a hockey nut but you're really a big fan of those Sharks aren't you?" The teen girl idly commented as if her presentence wasn't any big deal, curiously commenting on her surroundings. Her entire demeanour friendly and relaxed despite her manipulation.

Nathan had happily sat with Evelyn watching his favorite cartoon of which he has seen every episode of every series at least a couple of times. He happily explained things as Evelyn asked questions probably going into far more detail then she wanted and often his explanations ending up far from what the original inquiry was about as he would explain entire episodes and story arcs. It quickly became clear that Nathan not only liked this show but he may be a bit obsessed with it. When Evelyn asked about his favorite Alien Nathan placed a hand on his chin tapping it with one finger contemplating the question. Before snapping his fingers and raising one finger into the air a bit in the classic overexaggerated "I know the answer" expression. " oh yeah my favorite is four arms. cause he's so big and strong and like maybe if I was him I wouldn't be so scared all the time and then those kids at school wouldn't be able to make fun of me!!" despite the sad undertones of his statement Nathan answered with a giant smile on his face clearly not even noticing or caring about the comment he had made. Which honestly was pretty classic Nathan he never really complained or seemed down about the fact that kids sometimes liked to pick on him and usually would only offhandedly mention it like he just had like it didn't even matter.

Nathan hardly even budged as Evelyn got up and stared making some toast he was perfectly content sitting and watching cartoons and didn't even imediatly notice her getting up eventually he had looked over and wondering what Ev was up to. Surly she had eaten already right? she was in here before I was? Oh well who knows why she does things sometimes. He thought to himself as he retuned his focus to the Tv after another program I donned on Nathan that he hadn't seen Felix yet this morning he looked about the room making sure he hadn't just missed him. Upon realizing that he was indeed not around Nathan hopped up from the couch leaving the Tv on for a couple of other kids who had settled in for the morning cartoons tossing them the remote as he headed off upstairs to hunt for Felix. He stopped in his room grabbing Felix's skates so he could return them knowing that the boy would have to be missing them given that they never left his side the previous day Nathan was sure they went everywhere he did. Nathan then making his way down the hall to find Felix's room knocking lightly the door swung open having not latched shut Nathan peered inside and saw that Felix wasn't there tho he noticed a few sings of some kind of commotion having happened in here like the poster on the floor. Not thinking too much of it Nathan simply stepped into the room setting the skates down he grabbed the poster and attempted to put it back in place on Felix's wall. That task accomplished he looked around the room he wandered over to the bed sitting down just observing the small touches of Felix's personality that where present so far like the punching bag in the corner or the tools on his desk. Nathan just smiled as he looked around the room having no clue that just an hour ago there had been a fight in this room that left his new friend a bit battered. Eventually Nathan saw Asher walking past and quickly hopped up from Felix's bed jogging lightly after the older teen.

As Nathan caught up to him he tapped Asher on the shoulder causing the boy to stop and turn to him. "What is it Nathan I gotta get down stairs " The boy clearly looked annoyed but Nathan paid it little mind as Asher usually seemed annoyed tho his face did warp a bit as he saw Ashers busted eye. "well I... I just wanted to ask you about somethin cause Evelyn said she wouldn't help cause it was boy on boy or something and said I should ask you.... But like I mean you don't have to help i guess like if your busy or whatever but I was just wondering how you find out if a boy likes you... ya know like the way you like them... like more than friends." Ashers cold expression immediately fading upon hearing the twelve year old's question and seeing his very obvious nervousness at even bringing up the topic.

[ Much of Felix's belongings were still packed in a pair of suitcases that were sat on the ground at the foot of his bed alongside an unremarkably yellow-black backpack. Outside that and the damage from the scuffle Nathan had already observed the room was otherwise immaculately tidy, with even the fuzzy Spiderman PJ's he was wearing twenty minutes prior sitting folded-up as neatly as if on a store shelf sat atop his matching spidy-themed pillow and the bed also remade and tiny. Sat on the far side of the pillow was a small tiger-plush, that upon close observation a few nearly-seamless stitches on it were it has been repaired a few times in its lifetime reattaching its tail and fixing a prior tear in its lifetime. Just sticking out but neatly under the bed were Felix' other main pair of shoes a pair of fairly stylish black-and-red vans, that in Felix's normal fashion he had customised each having two tones of laces one red and gently glow-in-the-dark visible in the shadow of the bed, the other the standard white. ]

[ Upon the desk as Nathan observed was a small see-through plastic toolbox neatly put in the corner of the desk, having a few screws inside a little compartment, screwdrivers, a hex-key, ect; assorted tools though Felix mostly used them for taking apart and customising stuff like his inline skates, or something like a skateboards or similar. The tools were kept well organised inside. Beneath the toolbox however was two more boxes which if Nathan went back to examine would find: One containing extra wheels for his inline skates in a variety of sizes some a little smaller than what are currently in use, others much larger - varying in colour though most lacked the same LED lights his current ones have. The other box box having a few sets of laces in a variety of colors, some glow-in-the-dark also, as well as having a bunch of this shiny, reflective coloured sticker-paper Felix used to make the glow-in-the-dark decals for his gear. ]

[ Across the desk Felix's android phone which sat unattended, currently plugged into the wall charging - it didn't exactly need charging but with the twelve year-old currently outside wearing swim trunks he didn't have an easy way to carry it so just left it here for the time being sat alongside his cheap Pokémon-themed wallet with a Pikachu cheerfully staring up. ]

[ Felix's posters were a variety, some of skating-events he has attended and kept them as souvenirs, one was poster for the LA Lakers's poster, others were superhero themed like Spiderman, Flash, Batman, Ben10 (sure the last one was a cartoon, but he was a superhero still). These posters all carefully plastered across the one wall slightly overlapping in places but creating this collage of interests. The punching bag was this big, adult-sized one freely-hanging by the chains of its metal frame in the opposing corner from the bed near the door, clearly nothing cheap and at around 80-85lbs weighing more than either of the twelve year-olds did. ]

Jack had certainly took the bait. Jack felt the tray touch his hands, and he lightly gripped it, going to gently close the door, but it stopped and wouldn't budge any further. "Huh? What the-?" the boy thought. But before the boy could think, the older teen girl burst open the door and barged into his room, holding the tray and then going to casually place the tray down on his desk as if she frequently visited the room all the time. All Jack could do was just stand there in surprise, his eyes as wide as saucers. The aroma of breakfast began to fill the air, seemingly floating directly into the young boy's nostrils. It smelled delicious, certainly appetizing for the young athlete who had quite the appetite. On one hand, Jack certainly wasn't happy that the girl, who he had barely even spoken to or seen since he had gotten here at the home, barged into his room: his private space, his safe space. But conversely on the other hand, Jack wasn't too bummed out about being offered breakfast that was already prepared. Plus, he was very hungry, so this "personal breakfast delivery service" was appreciated. After all, the boy needed to eat eventually. Jack eyed the tray of breakfast on his desk. Damn, it looked good.

Jack stood there in silent awe and surprise at the girl's presence in his room. Eventually she spoke, commenting upon his obvious love of hockey, as evident y the hockey themed room and his San Jose Sharks shirt he had on today. Posters of various different hockey players from Jack's favorite team draped the walls. These had been the same posters that had been on his wall in his room back at his original home, his parents' home. The boy timidly answered her question, "Y- yea, I am..." he replied, looking around at his room at the decor, assuming that both his shirt and the room gave her the glaring hint as to Jack's passion. "Th- they were my team back at home... in San Jose.... I used to cheer for them...." Jack told her quietly.

Asher's eyes bolted open he grabbed his phone checking the time. Damn I'm late!! He quickly jumped out of his bed having accidently dozed off due to his exhaustion which was only heightened by the earlier fight. He quickly pulled on some clothes his two shirt layers both being short sleeved he also pulled an athletic sleeve over his arm to keep things covered as he darted out the door and down the hall. I Can't believe I am late Mrs. R is going to be livid!! He thought as he rushed down the hall nearly reaching the top of the steps when he felt a tap on the shoulder he turned to see Nathan standing nervously oh what does he want I don't have time for this. " What is it Nathan I gotta get downstairs?" He asked impatiantly waiting for the younger boy's response. His annoyance quickly fading as Nathan asked his question. Wait is Nathan trying to say he has like a crush on a boy? Is he gay? since when? Wait who?... oh shit Felix its Felix isn't it damn just my luck!! his thoughts spiraled quickly jumping from one question to the next before he realized he had just been awkwardly standing there for far to long. Asher did his best to smile gently at the twelve year old.

"why you think you like another boy thats living here? You think you like him more than friends? Like you want to be his boyfriend?" Nathan just gave a simple nervous nod in response. "Hmm since when do you like boys?" Asher quizzed prompting Nathan to once again tap away on his Ipad. "ummm always I guess but like I didn't know it until yesterday. Evelyn knew before I did!! But she refused to tell me and made me figure it out on my own!!" Nathan giving a bit of a pouty face with his response. "okay yeah you are probably right you probably always liked boys... Umm lets see as to your question that's actually a pretty hard one Nate part of the struggle of being gay is that most guys aren't... Most guys like girls and so unfortunately a lot of the time when we have a crush it ends up being on someone who just can't possibly think of us the way we think of them... and its really hard to know if that's the case unless they make a move first or you make a move ya know?" Nathan couldn't help but look a bit sad at realizing Felix probably didn't feel the same way and probably never would. He knew most guys were straight but it hadn't really donned on him until that moment. "but wait what do you mean make a move?" he quizzed Asher truly being clueless in how relationships and romance worked after all he was only twelve. Asher let out a small chuckle at the boy’s question. “Well it can mean lots of things. It could mean asking the other person out, it could mean trying to kiss them, or maybe flirting with them and seeing how they react. Lots of things... you do know what flirting is right?” Nathan gave a hesitant nod in response. Clearly not completely confident he knew what the older teen was talking about. "well if not you can ask me I guess." Asher responded as Nathan began typing away his face turning bright red as he did. "ummm.... okay well say I was going to make a move first by asking him out how would I do that?" Asher rolled his eyes playfully " man you are helpless little dude. I mean you just ask him out like umm like you could say something like this. Hey Felix I really like you and I don't know if you feel the same way but I wanted to ask if you would go out with me. or you know something like that." Asher smiled widely as he said Felix's name making it perfectly clear he knew exactly who the twelve year old's crush was causing Nathan to turn an even brighter red from embarrassment. "HOW DID YOU KNOW!!" he blurted out. "well it was pretty obvious when you said it all started yesterday Felix is the only kid that joined us yesterday remember? Now if you have any more questions they are going to have to wait until later I am already late and I don't need Mrs. Richardson any more upset with me than she is." Asher then simply turning and heading down the stairs not giving the shocked and embarrassed boy any chance to respond/

Asher made his way through the house quickly almost jogging his way out the door. "sorry... sorry I know I'm late but I had to help Nathan with something."

[ Mrs Richardson smiled a tad at seeing Felix regain some of that wilful energy, his positive response to her playful action a good sign trying to move forwards here at getting these boys to behave. It was then almost on cue that the missing teen had arrived as she turned to face the tardy teen. She shook her head slightly at him but actually perhaps this turned out for the best, she was simply happy he did show himself and she had the opportunity to try and patch things up. "Well thank you for joining us. What matters is your here now, and you boy's will have to work hard to get make up that time." ]

Asher's presence had quickly silenced Felix, his gaze becoming a bit hostile - the 'if looks could kill' kind of glare being perhaps amplified by the fact Felix' eye had already turned black and bruised from previous fight. Mrs Richardson may have helped Felix pick up the broken pieces of his ego enough to function, she might have made him promise to not start anything or retaliate - it didn't mean he had to like it or be Asher's friend.

Felix immediately began following as Mrs Richardson began leading the two boys across the carpark and around the side of the building, to Asher it perhaps already becoming obvious where they were going as a pair of somewhat dirty and bird-pooped Minivan's came into view - along with several buckets of soapy water. Felix clearly did not anticipate this his eyes looking confused not even realising there was extra parking spots around this part of the building here. Oooooh that's why we were told we might get wet. Okay this didn't seem too bad, though are we like cleaning one each or..? Like this could take a while and Felix wasn't sure he could reach the higher parts himself.

[ "Right so today's bonus chore - the two of you are going to be out here cleaning both of these until they are spotless." Mrs Richardson looks between the pair. "-and I do mean work together. You aren't to leave here or go back inside until you are both done. And let me make this clear if either of you want want a shot at your privileges being restored you will find a way to coexist and stop being at each others throats. Again I don't need you to be BFFs, but you are both living together, so get used to it. Do I make myself clear?" Mrs Richardson's reiterated the situation again for what was at least the third time now to the boys, her voice was stern but yet she didn't seem happy with this either as she said it. ]

[ "Now myself, or Miss Langley will be just back to take a look on your progress every so often while we set everything up for this afternoon. If you need something like the bathroom Mrs Langley is just around the back, so please let her know." Mrs Richardson's gestured around the corner to the back of the house directing the boys to where she currently was working. Asher familiar with Miss Jenna Langley or just 'Jen' as she preferred as a part-time aid here at the home, often ends up being a driver when the home does take the kids out in these things. With that however she looked at her watch, it was going to be a tight schedule to get everything ready for this afternoons barbeque. "Again, spotless - and if the other starts anything just come and find one of us." and with that Mrs Richardson started to take her leave. ]

Felix kind of stared over both Minivans with a bit of disgust, they were kinda gross in his mind. Not that he hated getting dirty himself and its not like they weren't that bad but his Dad would'a gone mental seeing his car left like this. Felix's passing his hostile gaze back Asher for a moment before silently just silently heading over to the collection of soap and buckets. Felix attempted to pickup and move the container of soapy water though as he went to lift it Felix visibly flinching for a moment and letting go, putting a hand to his ribs where Asher had put all his weight. Fudge.... Oww okay other side, other side. Felix wasn't going to tell Mrs Richardson how hurt he was feeling, he'd gotten hurt worse before and at the time there was too much adrenaline in his system. Yet to Asher it might be pretty obvious as the boy went and lifted the heavy bucket putting all the weight on his other side and carried it a little awkwardly to one of the van's that while the boy blocked most of Asher's punches, the older teen's still managed to get some damage in.
Without a word to the jerkface, Felix just took a sponge in hand and began diligently cleaning the side of the van. The dry summer dust from the left a nice brown layer that the boys needed off - and at least one of the boys wasn't going to slack off, being fully prepared to try do double the work if necessary assuming the bully was going to find ways to slack off.

Evelyn's smile grow a bit playful seeing the sheer confusion over her raw audacity to march her way in. Jack's confusion amusing in a way as she gave the thirteen year old time to try and figure out what just happened. The girls eyes darting from poster to poster taking in ever little details he could - not that she was an expert or really knew much about the sport beyond the basics. Evelyn nodding a bit, sitting on the edge of Jack's desk as he began to answer her question.
"Huh, you from a bit up state then." Evelyn idly commented on the Shark's home city, there didn't seem to be any form of judgement or question attached to that - instead she merely made a mental not of that for safe keeping for later. "Probably a bit of a shock being in the Kings territory now right. Heard there's a bit of a rivalry heating up?" Evelyn commenting hoping to try and see if Jack would respond to brining up the local team, she really didn't know a thing but always forward planning she'd googled the teams before coming up here.

After a moment still seeing Jack's confusion and hesitation she sighed a bit. "Hey, come on. You might wanna sit down and start eating before it gets cold?" Evelyn motioning to the tray and picking up one of the two glasses of orange juice for herself - it was clear she didn't intend of leaving for a while yet. If Jack decided to eat at the desk Evelyn would move to sit on his bed to give him space - otherwise remaining where she was. A slight look of concern on her face as she said all this. "And it's not good for you to just start skipping meals you know." Almost starting to lecture Jack on his behaviour, before taking a sip of the juice she had in her hands.

There was something so confident about Evelyn as she sat on his desk like she had practically owned the place, but it wasn't in an arrogant or hostile way. There was something so playfully friendly about it. He just looked at the girl as she spoke.

Jack nodded as she commented upon Jack's previous location, where his home was. It was true that he wasn't from anywhere around LA or Santa Monica, so it was certainly a change once Jack got here to the home in Santa Monica. "Yea," he replied softly, "I lived just outside of San Jose." Jack hadn't lived in the actual city of San Jose itself, but the surrounding suburbs. But it was practically San Jose, making the Sharks his closest team. Everyone from Jack's little town would always say they were from San Jose, because they practically were.

The young boy couldn't help but smile when Evelyn brought up the Kings vs Sharks rivalry. He wondered how she knew about it, but didn't question it too much. Being pretty close to LA, if you were a rare hockey fan in Santa Monica, you most likely cheered for the LA Kings. "Heh, yea," he said, smiling a bit thinking about it, "LA's our biggest rival." Jack was born and raised in a Sharks fans household, so he was practically bred to hate the LA Kings.

The boy turned his attention to his breakfast which was just sitting there as he looked at the food. The smile slowly and naturally faded away off of his face and turned back into his usual shy and timid expression. He slowly approached Evelyn and the desk upon which she had placed the food, almost nervously walking over. Walking like a child that had just gotten in trouble as she kindly and sweetly lectured him, advising him that it wasn't good to skip meals. While he usually wasn't one to skip a meal, today was a special occasion. He knew there would be a lot of people happily bustling about downstairs because of the ensuing party that afternoon. He sadly looked at her, frowning as he nodded, acknowledging her kind yet concerned words in her little "mini-lecture."

Upon his arrival Asher had noticed a bit of odd tension? Between Felix and Mrs. Richardson but he just shrugged it off simply wanting to get whatever this was over with. There were no shortage of glares thrown Felix's way in return as the two boys were now forced into a situation together. Asher thinking this like most punishments was stupid What exactly does she hope to gain by forcing us to spend time together? We aren't going to get along why try and force it?... wait why? Why cant we get along? What's so bad about him? Nathan likes him?... Well Nathan likes most people so I guess that's not saying much but to be fair Nathan more than just likes him... wait this is all you again isn't it Asher? Yeah Yeah I know everybody is an enemy. Everybody is dangerous keep your distance and you wont get hurt... Hurt them first so they never get a chance... Well Asher how did that work out for ya? You hurt him first and now? Now your stomach hurts you have a busted eye, just pain in general and now you have to do chores as punishment. So who exactly are you helping here? Cause it sure as heck aint yourself. Asher glumly walked behind both Felix and Mrs. Richardson as they headed to the side of the home his eyes mostly focused on Felix but his expression and feelings for the boy softening a bit. As they got to the end of the parking lot and started turning it donned on Asher just where they were going. "really we gotta wash those nasty things." he mumbled to himself putting together where they were headed and the fact that Mrs. Richardson warned they would get wet. As they arrived his suspicions were confirmed him simply listening with an annoyed expression and nodding in confirmation.

Asher didn't move to get to work as fast as Felix had instead standing there watching for a moment and trying to come up with a game plan for how to wash these vans most efficiently. I don't think either of us can really reach the top... so we are going to have to work together aren't We uggg Despite Asher's normal behavior being that of someone who would try and slack off when given a task he is normally quite diligent in making sure it gets done especially when its a punishment as he knows it will only bite him in the ass if he doesn't. Tho his thoughts and planning were quickly cut off as he noticed the twelve year old he had for some reason set in his crosshairs the last 48 hours struggle through pain to move one of the buckets of soapy water. Man did I really hurt him that bad? Well no shit sherlock your nearly double his weight and decided to put all of that on his side what did you think would happen? He rolled his eyes and sighed as Felix started washing the side of one of the vans. He reluctantly walked over "Hey Short stuff if we wash the sides first we are just gonna have to wash them again when all the shit from the top runs down. Also let me move the buckets around if you hurt yourself more Mrs. R is gonna ring my neck for sure." not to mention Nathan will never forgive me heck he might not as it is. He really was beginning to feel a little sorry for the pain he had caused the young boy both physically and mentally between his talk with Nathan, seeing the boy clearly in pain and the time separating him from his anger the parts of him he had discovered the previous day and swore he was going to make an effort to bring out began making themselves known again. Empathy and the desire to be better slowly rising within him though at this moment he wasn't about to let Felix know any of that. " She chose this for a reason ya know. She knew neither of us could reach the top and would be forced to work together. So lets just agree to not kill each other for now so we can get this done and go to the party. Your... Smaller so how about you get on my shoulders and wash the top then we can each take a side and get this stupid thing over with?" he suggested picking up the bucket Felix had been using and moving it out of the way " just... Just try not to drip to much water on me please." he said squatting down to give Felix the opportunity to get on his shoulders

Asher quickly got chucked an annoyed glare once again as he opened a dialog with Felix. Yet mustering all his willpower to keep his promise Felix to uncharacteristically keep cool and hear the older teen out - even despite the unappreciated nickname. Asher's guidance they'd need to do the top first being met with an unhappy but solid nod - Felix kinda knew that'd be the case but he had no idea how he was going to do the top yet. "Well 'Your Majesty', it's not like I can exactly reach the top anyway." Felix's tone was a little argumentative though given how Asher had acted it made sense he'd be upset.
At the mention of his injury though Felix's expression softened a little as he sighed - knowing that Asher was right though he hated that fact he couldn't push himself fully. The reality of the situation was that normally Felix would've been fine after a brawl like that but... well Asher had unknowingly put his weight atop the ribs that had only just recently healed from the accident. Felix unconsciously going to hold his side a bit as he replied. "...Thanks." It was a bitter thanks but genuine. "Kinda-like your fault tho.."

Felix continuing to listen as Asher formally lays out the truce, and starts coming up with a plan for how to tackle this, and addressing the earlier concern on the roof. Felix felt uneasy about this but again - a promise was a promise - actually two now, one to Nathan and one to the boss lady. Felix's nodded "But no -like funny business, kay? Let's just get this over with." Straight to business Felix sighed a bit as he headed over and begrudgingly climbed onto Asher's shoulder. Felix was unsurprisingly light given his pintsized physique which makes his insane strength in that fight earlier even more impressive.

Felix with the high up vantage point gagged a little. "Ewww, have the birds been using these for target practice..!?" Urg okay this now moves fully into the 'gross' category. Yet despite that complaining the preteen already began work on trying to clear it, diligently reaching across to the middle the best he could to clean there first and work his way and the muck towards the edge. The boy also making a clear effort to try and keep Asher as dry as he could given the task - trying to keep the re-wetted sponges at a arms reach so they didn't drip down and as he washed gunk off doing it to the sides instead of straight towards the boys where it would splash on The Jerk.

Felix was surprisingly easy to give a ride to, not only being small and light but he seemed just pretty comfortable with it- having a really good sense of balance and using core muscles similar to when he did gymnastic Felix kinda just at up on Asher's shoulders as steady as if he was an actual chair, only needing minimal support from the teen he could probably give with just a single arm keeping his legs secure. Felix was still very quiet throughout this however - making it perhaps a little awkward, only occasionally speaking to ask Asher to move, or grab something from bellow.

Evelyn made herself comfortable on the foot of Jack's bed - giving the teen room to get comfortable and start eating. "Hey come on, the breakfast isn't going to bite." Evelyn joked softly as she just took another drink and just continued to muse around for a moment. She did very much put out that aura and disregard like she belonged there, just calm, confident and a amused look on her face. "Neither will I for that matter."
"Just concerned for you that's all. "
Evelyn continued, openly explaining one part of her interest in being here. Evelyn expressing but not going into any more detail for the moment - and just gesturing to the breakfast tray for him to start eating. Giving the thirteen year-old plenty of time to settle down.

Once Jack had actually had chance to eat some of that breakfast, had a drink and just had a moment to perhaps settle down tot he girls presence, Ev' pounced with the heavier topic. "Jack right..? Like kid, not to be mean but I kinda feel like you need a bit of a reality check here." The sisterly concern was clear in her voice. "Do you really think you're gonna be able to hide from everyone for the next, who knows how long..? Because that's not gonna happen." Evelyn stating very matter-a-factly.
"You just hate everyone, think we're all monsters..? Because I know Asher sets a bad example for all of us but you somehow found a way to get along well with him." Evelyn joked. "-Just don't like talking to strangers, or..? What's up?"

Jack approached his desk to eat his breakfast as Evelyn hopped off of his desk and sat on the foot of his bed to give him some space to eat. As he sat down, he began to take slow bites, gradually getting faster as he realized how hungry he was. The food was great, and luckily for him, it hadn't gotten too cold yet.

The young thirteen year old continued eating as Evelyn began to speak. He nodded as she remembered his name correctly, and listened to the rest of what she had to say. The boy just frowned and shrugged. He really hadn't thought his plan through in the long term. Maybe he truly wouldn't be able to hide from everyone forever. But it was working pretty well so far, so why change it up?

"Well, I- I don't hate everyone, I just...." Jack paused, "I just don't like talking to new people...." As he said this, he frowned and looked back down at breakfast, avoiding eye contact with the teen girl sitting on the foot of his bed. "Asher's fine and everything, but I don't like having too many friends...."

"Funny business? What would I possibly do with you on my shoulders? Besides I just want this to be over as much as you do. " Asher stated as Felix climbed onto his shoulders happy to find that the boy was as light as he looked though that didn't mean he wouldn't get heavy over time as he sat on Asher's shoulders. Felix's ability to keep himself balanced making it that much easier as Asher didn't need to spend much of his energy holding the boy up. He couldn't help but chuckle a bit at Felix's reaction to the bird poop on the roof as he got busy wiping it down. Thankfully Felix was making quick work of things and keeping from dripping too much water down on his ride though it was unavoidable that he would get hit by some water something Asher was well aware of as he slowly became more and more damp. Asher quietly grabbing things and moving as instructed hoping the top of the first van was almost done he knew his shoulders would need a break before starting on the next one the extended time of the extra weight slowly making its mark on Asher's endurance. "Hey short stuff you almost done up there you are staring to get heavy?" He asked doing his best to look up at Felix as he did noticing some obvious sweat forming on the boy's brow and dripping down his nose from the warm summer day. Asher squatted slightly picking a sponge out of the bucket. " Looks like your getting pretty warm up there." he stated as he reached up and behind Felix squeezing the sponge against the boy's neck causing soapy water to flood down the twelve year old's back and by consequence his ass well. "Maybe this will help cool ya down." He said in a clearly joking tone not realizing Felix may not take it that way given the circumstances.

Asher may not like that he is spending his day washing a couple of vans. He may not like that he is currently being punished, and he may not be sure if he liked Felix or not yet even tho he never did anything to cause Asher not to like him other than Justifiably hitting him. But there were two things Asher knew one was that if he had to wash these vans he was going to make the best of it. And getting into a water fight with a sibling while washing a car was something Asher had always wanted to do. Mostly because tv shows and movies made it seem like a normal thing families do anytime they wash a car and while he may not have any actual siblings he supposed Felix would work as a substitute. The second thing he knew was that if Nathan liked Felix Asher had to try and at least put an effort into making him feel welcome and not be a complete jerk to the young boy.

Felix worked diligently to try and get the roof cleared off, despite the fact neither of them could normally even see it they knew the staff would check. For the sake of Asher's shoulders it was a good thing Felix was progressing fast, this was far from the kid's first time cleaning a car. It was kinda relaxing doing this. Felix got a lot of satisfaction out of cleaning all the dust and gunk away leaving the surface shiny - as well as getting a cool view of the rest of the parking area even seeing over the fence a little not that there was anything interesting over there. Felix's expression becoming this soft smile as he worked nearly forgetting this was a punishment. The blazing sun was doing its work but ehh, that was to be expected as Felix wiped some sweat from his brow.

"Yeah nearly like-done on this one. Just got one more spot..." Felix replied idly not really thinking much about it, being handed the refilled sponge and leaning quite far forwards and scrubbing the last bit clean. The young boy was unaware of Asher's next intention however having also picked up a second sponge of his own. As soon as the van was clean he suddenly found show run down as his system as a burst of cold soapy water to run down Felix's back, sheer surprise was all that was in Felix's system as he tensed up for a second. "Aaaaahhh that's cold!" Felix laughing a bit. Task completed and confused shock in his system Felix quickly just rolled back and off Asher's back dismounting by himself and softly landing on his feet in a rather quick practiced and fluid motion that might have caught the older teen off guard thinking Felix just fell off his back.

"..Okay that's not funny. I-I said no funny business!" Despite Felix having this annoyed serious tone, it was in complete contrast to his actual expression whose smile clearly betrayed the fact he did find Asher's joke funny and that part of him really did want that water fight. Felix taking a few steps back from the teen, though it wasn't a full retreat just cautiously steps. "Like- what the fudge is wrong with you? I- is this how you want to try and pick on me next? Just gonna keep pouring the water over me while we're suppose to be working..?!" Again Felix's tone was clearly conflicted as open a book as always - he didn't look that upset by the water actually looking like he found it funny, he was upset not understanding Asher's intentions.

"Like I get it, you're mad at me for getting double-punished. But -like the that's all your faults! It's not my fault you decided to grab me infront of everyone else. She found out all by herself what you did!" Oh okay then Felix we're just diving right in then on that mess. "I didn't-like tell on you till she'd already found out and asked me about it, as much as a bully like you deserved getting punished." After how angry Asher previously got Felix was on full guard. His eyes darting to the sides of the van, and his stance that of someone ready to just break into full sprint the kid clearly figuring out escape routes to run expecting Asher to just go nuts on him again after saying what he did.
