Realistic or Modern Same Love

Elodie Amelie Bellamy

For Elodie, not going to college had never even been a consideration. There hadn’t been much, if any, outside pressure to go to college - Emmanuel had never pushed it on her, but promised to support her in whatever she chose to do. Teachers, those that paid any attention or were at all invested in Elodie’s future, expected it of her, but didn’t make that explicitly clear. On Elodie’s part, she expected it of herself. She was certainly academically inclined, that much was obvious, and it just always made sense that she’d further her education once she got out of high school. It seemed like the most natural step to take. Elodie always felt as though she had so much more catching up to do than everybody else, and going to college was one of her many ways of compensating. Even if she had nothing to compensate for though, Elodie reasoned that she’d probably still aim to go to college. It was just the kind of person she was; someone who valued education and higher learning. She wasn’t yet sure what she wanted to do with that extra education, but college would also give her the time and opportunity to explore her options while also potentially helping her cope with her neuroses. The more exposure and community, the better. And hopefully college students would be more mature, understanding, and patient than high schoolers. Everest’s comment about learning every word in the dictionary got an involuntary smirk out of Elodie, who quickly responded, I don’t know about every word. But yes, I intend to go to college in the fall. Work experience is pretty useful too. Work experience wasn’t really in Elodie’s vision at the moment. With her obstacles, it would be too difficult and harrowing just to get a job, not to mention keep it and do well at it. She didn’t have the kind of connections that would get her something nice that catered to her struggles. The only people she knew outside of her brother (and distant father, who she’d never met since he traveled for work) were fellow students and teachers, who wouldn’t be of much help aside from a recommendation letter, and doctors, who wouldn’t be of much help aside from a prescription. Truth be told though, Elodie hadn’t given working much thought - whether she’d preemptively deemed it impossible or she’d simply never wanted to, she wasn’t sure. Maybe both. So you’ll be staying nearby even once the school year starts? Elodie hoped that the message didn’t sound as eager as she felt. To prevent it from being interpreted as such, she tilted her face away so that Everest couldn’t see her eyes if she tried, shielded as they were by her curly hair and her rigid shoulder.

Kim sighed and later back down, she had a slight headache so she covered her face. She could hear Mel throwing up "Kevin said there's an extra toothbrush under the sink" she said loud enough for Mel to hear. She layed on her side and began scrolling through her phone, a lot of the texts were from girls who were interested in Kim, but she just deleted them. She didn't want the other girls no more, she wanted Mel.

Erik's face was red from embarrassment, he and laughed a bit "sorry man, that usually doesn't happen to me." Erik wanted to stand up, but if he did it would show worse so he kept it covered, and moved away from Adam careful not to touch him, or it wouldn't go away.

Everest smiled at her message after noticing the smirk that had formed on the other girl's face. Dammit she's cute. Rubbing her face a bit and sighing, she keeps the smile on. "In the fall? That's cool. I may or may not go really..." It would be a tight squeeze to go to college after her dad had gone to jail and she had somehow ended up bailing him out after a few months of doing everything and anything necessary. EVERYTHING and ANYTHING. It sucked to remember all that she had done just to have her dad back but giving it little thought, Ev moves on into the subject of Elodie getting a job. Her main interest was that El probably wouldn't have any connections when it comes to being hired but she does have Everest. The frosty white head smirked at the thought that had burst into her mind. "You know, you could always become the book keeper and help with little stuff like that? Secretary would most likely be out of the equation but that would still work fine. Just an idea." Whatever Elodie decided on doing would be backed up by this boisterous rocker. She watched as the next message was put into process and a small grin showed again. "You could always be our saleswoman! Or, just follow me around during advertisements and be adorable." Her eyes went to the screen as it was turned toward her and reading through she tilts her head. In attempt to see Elodie's face, Eve soon found it impossible with the wall of curls in the way. "Yea, unless I'm recruited for NASA or something incredible like that. I can hope." Being hopeful seems to be her new rule of thumb, that and to kick anyone's ass who got in the way.

@Bupkis

Jade smiled, pulling her closer. "What other kinds of trouble do you get into?" She asked. "Because I kinda have a thin for bad girls," she joked with a smirk.

Elodie felt like there was context or a story she was missing here, but decided against commenting. It was also possible that Everest was just the type of person to do things as they came or happened, and there was nothing wrong with that - although Elodie wasn't sure that that kind of approach to life would ever suit her personally. Maybe if she ever overcame her anxiety, she'd like to be able to be spontaneous, but that day wasn't anytime soon. Part of her was drawn to Everest for her antonymous methodology, though. Elodie was drawn to the kind of person and lifestyle that she wanted to emulate, wanted to be and partake in. In Elodie's eyes, this was where part of her beauty came from. The rest... well. Let's just say that Everest didn't need to try too hard. Elodie began fidgeting with the blades of grass surrounding her feet, idly twirling long ones around her pointer finger or plucking smaller ones, only to let them rest again. It baffled her a little how Everest was so intent on the future and actually making plans after having just met her, and it was taking her a while to puzzle over it and figure out an appropriate response. Was she comfortable with this? Not entirely. But despite that discomfort, there was a yearning underneath the anxiety and worry. These were the kind of chances she needed to take, right? Besides, she liked Everest, she really did. She wanted Everest to stay and be interested in her, and a scared part of her made her want to do anything to keep her interested, no matter how much she may dislike it. Ironic that she was being scared into doing things she was afraid of; really, Elodie was used to never being able to escape fear and anxiety by now. It was like going from the frying pan into the fire every waking moment. Trying not to feel too sorry for herself and to just focus on Everest, she let herself get caught up in the idea of working as Everest suggested. As much as she was tempted to do it just to stay near Everest for longer, she knew it wasn't an option, not for her. At least, not yet. Elodie was intent on college and admittedly, not entirely out of alacrity; part of it was certainly personal obligation. It was reassuring however to know that Everest would be staying close by. Maybe this wasn't such a lost cause after all. I don't think I can work, Elodie typed. Her inability to do so wasn't just out of a lack of time; she wasn't sure that she was mentally fit to have any kind of responsibility like that. But I'll probably be going to school near home. What she didn't add was the thought, I'll be near you in the fall, and we can see each other again. Elodie would've laughed if she'd been alone; she was getting so far ahead of herself, but couldn't find it in her to stop herself.

@ShadedRose

It came as no surprise when Elodie gave her an answer about working. She could understand just fine that it may not have been appropriate to ask so suddenly but to be honest, Everest is scared. Her fear emits from the thought of gaining a friend and then loosing them within the same twenty-four hours. Sure, they may never talk again after this night and maybe their paths would go in two completely different directions but that wasn't going to put an end to Ev's hope; not just yet. She grinned and nodded her head slightly. "Some of the greatest people who ever lived didn't work." She tells her friend with a simple grin. "You just might be one of those greats!" Encouragement had been a bog thing among her early development and without it she probably would not be nearly the same person as she is now. "Great!..I mean, that's cool." Her small slip up was quickly corrected and shifted back to her calm and even tone. "You're going to do fine and if anyone gives you any shit just give me a call..or text." Smiling now, Eve reaches into her back pocket and pulls out her cell. Bringing it in front of her then holding it out to Elodie. "Here, put your number in and I'll text you so you can have my number and vice versa."

Elodie hadn't meant to imply that she'd never work in her life. She aspired to be able to work in a field she loved one day, or at least a job she didn't terribly hate. For Elodie, the main achievement would be being able to work. With that confidence, Elodie felt, she'd be able to do anything - and she couldn't wait for that day to come. In the meantime, it would be plain old schooling for her. Her one friend in the world moved away and while her brother was adoring and supportive, he was also fairly older than her and busy with his own life. There was very little variance or excitement in Elodie's life - that is, before meeting Everest. Or perhaps before the night altogether, but Elodie would remember this night, not as the night that she did something stupid and went to a party despite everything in her telling her not to, but as the night she met Everest. Even if her and Everest never spoke again afterwards... Elodie began to think that she'd always, at the very least, remember meeting her. And maybe she'd even miss her... whether or not they maintained a friendship. Elodie enjoyed her presence so much, she figured she was going to miss Everest once they left no matter what happened. Before Elodie was tasked with coming up for a valid, normal response to Everest, she beat her to it. Elodie briefly hesitated at the mention of a call, but once Everest added texting, she relaxed again and gingerly reached out to take Everest's phone. Don't drop it be really careful hold it tightly don't just grip the edges oh my god if you drop it what if I do drop it I'd have to pay for it of course but what if she hates me please don't drop it Elodie carefully entered her own number which she'd memorized when she first received a cellphone, even though she hadn't had much occasion to give out her number. It had been a silly fantasy for a moment like this one, but as Elodie very cautiously handed back the phone with the name Elodie Bellamy in it, she realized that no fantasy she'd had over the years had ever compared to this. In preparation for the text she'd soon be receiving, Elodie put her own phone out in front of her, the screen dark. Even though she was sitting right next to Everest, her heart began to race with excitement. A text. From Everest. Any moment now.

@ShadedRose

((She is too sweet...<3))

Everest watched a bit nervously as Elodie took her phone and slowly pulled it to herself. She was not the least bit worried over the phone but what if she was taking things too fast and possibly wierding Elodie out. Just chill the hell out... She thought to herself in annoyance at the sudden change of attitude. Excited to have someone to talk with even if it was just through texts, Everest was relieved when Elodie handed her phone back and she gave a sideways grin. Now what to text her?! Her mind goes a mile a second as she swims around trying to decide if she should just send a simple 'hi' or maybe something more? After a moment she makes up her mind and begins to type up the message. Soon enough she hits the send button and looks over to see how long it would take. In precisely four seconds Elodie received her text and her grin changed into a smile. "I feel like this marks the start of a new awakening! From this day on," glancing down at the girl's last name and then up, she continues, "Elodie Bellamy, you and I are beginning a friendship." Declaring this made Everest feel a bit happier. This was a big thing for Elodie, she's sure but so is it for Everest; the outcast with a rebellious heart. "I hope that's alright."

Text : Hey, you're gorgeous, don't forget.

((I'm so sorry about how short it is! I have to get my butt to work xP))

Alex groaned and held an arm over his face to block out the sun. He had been out drinking last night and the hangover he knew would be horrible.

Rolling out of bed he went into his bathroom and brushed his teeth before getting dressed. He was feeling too punk to shower right now.

Pulling on a hoodie that hung off his bare shoulder and a pair of black chinos and white converse, her grabbed his phone, keys and wallet and left home.

He was heading for the bakery where he always got something sweet and a coffee to feel alive again. Pulling on his beats he began to listen to music as he walked.

@ShadedRose

Nikolai sluggishly moved from his bed, his stomach aching and head pounding from the previous night's activities. He had only a few drinks yet feels completely out of it. Lucky for him, his mother and father were off to work by the time he gets downstairs and they pay little attention to their son. Walking straight to the fridge and opening it, Nik lets out a sigh. "No food again..." He rubs his eyes in exhaustion then stumbles back up the stairs and goes into the bathroom.

About fifteen minutes pass before he is finally out the door and walking down the sidewalk away from the empty house. His dark gray cargo pants that had somehow become his one and only clean pair and a long sleeved white tee are the only things he found to wear. He slides on a pair of sunglasses to hide his tired eyes or maybe to just look less of an idiot seeing as he had been the dumb ass to get himself drunk last night. His stomach grumbled rather unhappily and that's when he knew where to go. The bakery would do the trick plus it was less than a block from his house.

Alex got into queue for something. He was craving cream filled doughnuts and satan herself would not be able to come between him and his delicious treat. He got to the bakery and stepped inside, going straight to the queue he stood waiting as he began to text on his phone. He rubbed his neck where he had gotten a love bite, but from who he could not remember. He just remembered blonde hair.

Shaking his head, his stomach rolled and he just wanted his fix of sugar and caffine.

"Just a quick in and out," Nikolai breathed quietly, his mind battled his hunger upon entering the small building and he already knew that anything too sweet would end up like the alcohol he had given back up. His eyes flickered up at the sign listing most of the delicious foods they sold and then go across the counter to stare at the ready to go delicacies. Settling for a bagel and warm tea, he looked away from the woman in the front of the line and instead moved to look at the person in front of him. The guy seemed fairly familiar though Nik shrugs it off assuming him to be just another guy who attends the same school as him. Thank God school is over.. The blonde relaxed and looks down to the floor. He was glad to sleep in everyday excluding weekends again and he's sure that the guy in front of him is too.

(I'm sorry my posts are pretty sucky at the moment!!))

Alex was slowly moving up the queue and eventually got to the top. He ordered a coffee and 2 cream filled doughnuts.

Taking his order, he went to the one free booth in the back of the shop and sat down to relax.

Putting some milk in his coffee he sipped in and sighed in contentment.

He saw the blonde hair and had a brief flashback to last nights party and the heaving make out session he was involved in

@ShadedRose

As soon as the guy in front of him was given his things and walked off, he stepped up to the counter and placed his order. The woman was a bit distracted, he noticed and quickly looked down. He had presentable clothes on and his hair was surely at least half way decent. The only thing he had missed was the small bite marks just below his colar. An alarmed look showed briefly though the sunglasses hid most of it. He reached a hand up and rubs around his neck to hopefully make her less interested.

After his drink and bagel were handed across the counter and paid for he turned and retreated to a small table made for one. He began to tremble nervously not understanding what had gone on. Not until his eyes moved around the room and landed on the customer who had gone before him. The familiarity turned into goosebumps and hesitantly Nikolai makes his way over. "H-hey..." He mumbled and sat opposite from the other. Hopefully he could get someone to explain to him what happened and this person had to have been there too. "You were at the party..weren't you?"

Alex looked up as Nik approached. He remained silent until the question was asked about the party.

Nodding he shuffled into the booth, offering a seat to Nik

"Yeah I was there last night, whats up"

He asked as he took another drink from his Coffee and looked to Nik, wondering what he wanted to know.

Mel grabbed the toothbrush from under the sink. She was so sick.

"What happened last night?" she asked Kim, the memories fuzzy. She stood up trying to be careful not to puke again, but failed and puked all over the floor.

She was disgusted with the way she smelled.

Adam watched as Eriks face turned red. He tried his hardest not to look down at his crotch but it failed. His hormones got the best of him and he was looking down at his crotch again. He couldn't hide how much he wanted Erik. He was just glad he had the blanket over top of him cuz he could guarentee his was worse. He shifted in his seat and stared at Erik. He felt uncomfortable, but could not hide the fact that he was hot.

Kim heard her puke again "Mel imma run to the store and get shit to calm your stomach, so just stay in there." When Kim had gotten back one of Kevin's butlers had cleaned up the mess. Kim just ignored the smell and smiled at the pale Mel "well I know who's not allowed to drink anymore" she teased and set the bag on the ground "I don't know what this is but the pharmacist said it'll help. And there's some pepto and ginger ale" she smiled handing Mel the little tablet. She sat on the edge of the tub and watched "I always see you at parties, always drunk, but have you ever been this drunk?" She raised an eyebrow.

Erik noticed Adam staring "awe man, don't do that" he mumbled, kissing Adam deeply before quickly scooting to the end of the bed and pulling on jeans. He didn't bother with a shirt "I uhm I'm gonna make breakfast. I hope. You like eggs n bacon or.. Whatever." Erik wasn't one for displaying nervousness, so he acted on instinct and slipped out of the room. He took a few deep breaths trying to calm himself and ran a hand through his hair.

Mel smirked at Kim when she asked her that.

"Of course ihave" she said, lying. "I just havnt in a while".

She pushed her hair out of the way and took some of the medicine. Then she layed on the bed curled up so she wouldn't hurt her stomach anymore. She felt like crap. "I feel like shit" she said hicupping.

Adam tried to look away when Erik asked him to but failed. "I'm sorry..." he said. He wanted to say what he thought but he couldn't. Suddenly Erik was kissing him. It sent butterflies through him but then it was over. He tried to grab Eriks hand as he walked away but was too late. He was in such shock that he ignored everything that Erik just asked. He rolled over on his back and sprawled out thinking of what just happened. He was even worse after that kiss. He just kept thinking about what Erik would look like naked. He shook the thought out of his head trying to calm down.

After a while he got up to go downstairs. He was hungry and he couldnt stop thinking about Erik.
