Good Morning! We received a wonderful suggestion from a player to introduce a Too Long, Didn't Read (TL,DR) segment to be posted for our new players. Which we happily agreed to! We will do our best in posting atleast once a day to summarize the current roleplay events happening so that the transition for new players can be made easy.

Current Setting
A storm as casted mercilessly over Saint Haddock, creating a blanket of downpour and clashes of thunder. It is just a little after midnight, there's been an active investigation for a homicide - the body of a man shredded was found in a downtown alleyway (Eastside). An elusive detective dispatched the Deo Volente to take on the case with suspicions it was the act of a supernatural, and further assist in their crusade to exterminate the occult.

Active Characters
🞄 Charlotte 'Lottie' deLorme' was suspiciously hiding amongst the concerned citizens who surrounded the murder scene, but left with the crowd when the police commanded they return to their homes. She made her way to Club Lazarus where she met her sister, Sabine deLorme' and Dante Wolfbane in the VIP section. They are vaguely discussing the homicide, as Sabine was handed a report about it and implied it was Lottie's doing. Lottie brushed it off and noticed a human, Magnus MacVain, attempting to eavesdrop on the trio's conversation. She audibly mentioned his presence.

🞄 Lieutenant Thomas Barrett of the Deo Volente was the first to respond to the scene, quickly piecing together possibilities and a range of suspected offenders. Now, diligently looking for clues. He traced back the victim's steps to a local pub, where he was seen earlier that evening. Noting a particular couple leaving the pub, Thomas followed them around the building and into a dark alleyway. There, he found the woman to be a vampire and feasted on the drunk man. Thomas initiated an altercation and managed to pin the woman down and began to interrogate her for more intel.

🞄 Dante Wolfbane has made quite the grand entrance to Club Lazarus, fancying himself a drink at the bar before entering the VIP room to speak with Sabine deLorme' of a potential partnership with Club Lazarus and his Crimson Tears Crime Organization. Though he has elegantly introduced himself as would a normal greeting, he failed to properly introduce himself in terms of meeting Sabine deLorme'. As there is certain are particular customaries when addressing her, something Lottie deLorme' had no restraint to calling him out.

🞄 Sabine deLorme', the illustrious owner of Club Lazarus readied herself for the evening while the venue opened. Once she had settled into her reserved section, nestled in the VIP area of the club, she indulged herself with a wine glass of blood. The arrival of Dante Wolfbane had caught her interest, but to show up empty handed, had created a sense of disdain for her valuable time being wasted. Her sister, Lottie deLorme' finally sauntered in. Sabine gracefully scolded her sibling, having known about the homicide and suggesting it was the result of Lottie. Sabine made demonstration of the power she holds within, not only Club Lazarus, but her own unique gifts by manipulating a thrall like a puppet. To which she questioned what Dante Wolfbane offered in the possibility of partnership. Lottie deLorme' exposed Magnus MacVain lurking for information outside their VIP section, upsetting Sabine even further and engaging with him to come forth and empty his belongings.

🞄 Magnus MacVain, the Leader of the Coven, could be found in Club Lazarus having a drink, with the hopes of discussing matters of peace among the occult with Sabine deLorme'. First, he noticed Lottie deLorme' entering the club with her brawny escort. But found himself surrounded by gluttonous night walkers attempting to seduce him for a quick bite. Finally fed up with the party goers, he offered a bag of blood to send them on their way. Which in turn was selfishly snatched from him. Secondly, entered Dante Wolfbane who approached the bar and had himself drink. Magnus watched as both vampires had made their way to the VIP section, where he assumed Sabine deLorme' took up residence during club hours. He made his way there, nonchalantly attempting to eavesdrop on the trio's conversation, to only have Lottie point him out and Sabine taking action.

🞄 Elu Tainn, the fierce Pack Leader of Saint Haddock's werewolves struggled with the less glamorous side of motherhood. Her darling three year old, Kitchi was rebelling against the inevitable battle of bed time. Having the weight of not only being a mother, but the responsibilities of being the Alpha of her pack, began to wear the woman down - mentally and physically. Quickly receiving word of the homicide, Elu tactfully took action in arranging a meeting for the pack within the sanction of their den, Lucky Dave's Dive Bar. Alerting her most trusted comrade to babysit little Etchi and headed into the unforgiving storm.

Absolutely! Much like general lore of Werewolves, they obviously shift into a lycanthrope form, granting them the ability of speed, strength, and even regeneration - given it's not a fatal wound. With the addition of one unique power of your choosing that can aid them in combat. To balance out the power, there does have to be a drawback. Feel free to look over some of the character sheets posted in the Characters thread to inspire some ideas. If you happen to need some more clarification, you're more than welcome to message me and we can discuss any of your concerns!

Current Setting
The night is slipping away rather swiftly, as the clock strokes just at 2am, the storm has began to cease and retreat. Only a light shower blanketing Saint Haddock. Bars are closing, drunkards are returning home, giving a different breath of life to the city. Once those have returned home, a silence will fall upon Saint Haddock while the denizens rest their weary heads in preparation for the approaching work week.

🞄 Charlotte 'Lottie' deLorme' has caused quite the scene during the unprompted meeting with Dante Wolfbane and Sabine deLorme', with the newest addition of Magnus MacVain entering the mix. Lottie went on a tangent, berating Dante with her doubts of his preposition for her sister. But was swiftly silenced by Sabine. Lottie found a peculiar interest in Magnus from his lack of class and gruff appearance. Becoming further inebriated and growing weary of sitting still, she excused herself from the VIP room, taking her personal bodyguard Varney to the dancefloor.

🞄 Jacques-Louis Du Chateau-Pere joined the investigation of the recent homicide, but quickly realizing his Lieutenant had decided to go solo. Irritably, Jacque used his skillset to hunt down his commanding officer. Finding him overpowering the female night walker in a dark alleyway near the downtown pub. Offering his assistance to further close the case at hand.

🞄 Lieutenant Thomas Barrett received new information from his comrade, Jacques, with possible leads for their case. After reviewing the folder given, there's summarized data listed about Dante Wolfbane and the deLorme' sisters holding a meeting in their safe haven - the infamous Club Lazarus. Thomas set aflame the female vampire, disposing any evidence of his brutality.

🞄 Sabine deLorme' has had enough of her sister's interruptions during the meeting and has rightfully put her foot down. With her sister's departure and the tension fizzled, Sabine was able to effectively display her resources of knowledge. Albeit the company not thrilled with her executing a seemingly innocent woman, she has implored that she strategically selects her victims after reviewing their demographics, family ties and personal affairs. Further pushing the discussion along of creating a partnership with Dante and forming a possible alliance with Magnus, the leader of the coven.

🞄 Magnus MacVain joins Sabine, Dante and Lottie in the specialized VIP room of Lazarus. Now welcomed in by Sabine herself after Lottie's call out. The young vamp having took notice of the warlock and made an alluring request for him to dance with her upon her departure of the meeting. Now, Magnus is faced with convincing Sabine that a human's life is still worth value despite her having murdering one without hesitation only a few moments ago. Beseeching that she take careful steps when dealing with Deo Volente.

🞄 Dante Wolfbane questions Sabine's careless killing, not having the slightest that she has done thorough research on every victim. Thus, she proved herself competent and not some feral beast, unlike her sister, Lottie. Though apologies were expressed from the younger sister, there is still visible tension between Dante and herself. However, Sabine has welcomed Dante's proposition to be partners and further discussion appears to be taking place on the details of the matter.

🞄 Elu Tainn arrived at Lucky Dave's to gather her kinfolk for an emergency meeting regarding the recent murder. Spoken like a true leader, she addressed her kin to remain attentive so that they do not appear on the Deo Volente's radar. Passionately adding that the pack needs to stay tight and together in order to remain safe during these dire times.

🞄 Dani Leiber made quite the introduction at Luck Dave's, having not only starting but finishing an altercation with a group of unruly new members of the pack. Elu's entrance calmed the internal storm brewing in Lucky Dave's. As she declared her commands and suggestions, Dani had offered some form of evidence with a photo of the victim, that she managed to snag at a gas station just around the corner of the crime scene.

🞄 Kate Gray could be found in her own squabble, located within an alleyway. Clearly, she meant business as he was unable to put up much of a fight. Interrogating a rather small man with inquiries of information on purchasing supplies to further aid her job. Taking the man's suggestion, she ventured to Silver's Potions and Oddities.

🞄 Silvermist Cearos attentively did some basic chores around her shop, Silver's Potions and Oddities. With great care, she dusted, recounted and restocked. With a joyous surprise, a customer, Kate Gray, has arrived at her store in search of wolfsbane and holy water.

OOC Information
While we are familiar with the phases of the moon and it's many abilities to affect those around the world, the Blood Moon is most notable in the world of the occult. To celebrate it's gift, a mysterious ball has been known orchestrated by an anonymous host. This event has been known among the supernatural for centuries, it appears annually in different parts of the world. This year, it has graced itself upon Saint Haddock. It's been theorized that due to the sudden increase in night walkers that it quickly became a suitable area to hold the ball. Not only are the citizens of this city invited, but many elites of other regions are expected to attend. According to the nameless host, they wish to host a night of peace with the premise of the ball is to bring together the many factions of the occult to set aside any feuds and simply enjoy the comforts of song, dance and cocktails. Even notable members of the Deo Volente have received invitations to the event, even their elites have commanded they attend for the sake of gathering more information.

Though the ball itself may be based on a joyous celebration, it also offers many drawbacks for the supernatural throughout the entirety of the Blood Moon. It's highest peak will be 11pm, enhancing all it's effects to maximum capacity.

۰ Vampires
These nightwalkers' sclera become stained with deep red hues, signaling their overwhelming insatiable blood lust. While their strength and unique abilities become increased, they're faced with extreme fatigue once the blood moon has passed.

۰ Witches & Warlocks
Having been one with nature and all her gracious creations, this occult will become more entuned with their specified element. But they should be weary of asking too much of Mother Nature for their could face her consequences in the form of spells backfiring, creating averted expectations.

۰ Werewolves
These beasts will be forced to shift into their lycanthrope forms, despite whatever scenario they've found themselves in, causing them to feel a primal frenzy. Though their strength is amplified much like their vampire counterparts, they too will feel the effects of exhaustion after the passing of the blood moon.
