Here's an official hello to everyone now that I'm officially part of the team XD

I saw some people introducing themselves earlier in the thread so I'll shoot mine. No clue if it's required, but might as well. It's your choice on whether to call me Silent, Paper, or Gavin. I'll respond to all three (nicknames work too if you can find any you'd wanna use). I'm he/him and I'm excited to rp with all of you!

And I'm making an unnecessarily long list of every single oc and my characters thoughts on them, so will update as new ocs come in ^^
 
Speaking of a list here it is. These are kinda wild, loose ideas at best that could happen in regards to character relations, mostly how I think general interactions with other ppls ocs & mine would go down. Would love to hash things out more, we'll see where it goes! (Also low-key long bc I love rambling, so forgive me-)

- Joy; They're pretty different so I don't see too much interaction, I see them being involved in different things. I think at most their interactions would probably be if she tried to get him to follow the rules more - which he would zone out and not actually listen. Or directly tell her to stop bothering him, because class sucks. Maybe some baking club stuff when he does go, though it's mainly him 'politely' asking if she's sharing whatever she's baking.

- Soren; They share Mentalist class. Not 100% sure if they'd get along or not but if they did - it might be interesting? They share alot of similarities in terms of motivations, and Momo is the least judgy person to exist. Or at least, he's very direct + uncaring about things that don't concern him. He usually eats humans, so it might be intriguing for a potential friendship or acceptance of one.

- Arya; As someone who throws people under the bus alot, I see Arya potentially snitching on Momo since he believes class is a suggestion and not a requirement. Momo would see him as rather troublesome, especially because they have rather conflicting views relating to music. One interesting thing I do note is that Momo would care less about his family heritage bc landfolk stuff matters little to him. If everyone else knows his family to be powerful and feared, curious to see how Arya might react to someone whose unaffected by it.

- CJ; not super sure tbh, as there's not alot for me to go off of. I feel like it shes popular he'd vaguely know who she was, but since they most likely wouldn't interact too much (or at least, not have a reason to) it would be general indifference.

- Jordan; Maybe they know each other from their shared elective (Astrological Divining)? They also have baking (when he comes anyway). I imagine he'll try and get food from her. Silly thing if he ever finds out she bit a child he'd be like *'mhmm, yum'* and she'd be very alarmed???

- Ronen; Momo technically does go to the music club (I imagine he was poking around and found it accidentally), but has little interest in whatever shenanigans are planned. Outside of that I don't see much happening, though since Ronen has a nice voice; Momo would listen to him (not literally, but just to his voice. Not anything he tried to get him to do lmao)

- Jackson; I think Momo would be at the very least, intrigued by another Mer being in the school. He wouldn't necessarily go out of his way to try and bond with him just bc they share a species, but maybe he's seen him every now and then from music? Momo would enjoy his voice, if he ever does catch him singing/talking. Would probably have no idea why he'd hide it.

- Keefe; would catch his eye, literally (bc he's glowing ahaha am funny). They're pretty different people so unsure about anything, but at the very least - Momo wouldn't outright dislike the guy, nor say anything about his looks.

- Geode; Not sure. Tbh I see Momo unintentionally being quite unsettling, or at least making Geode a bit nervous if he's around? Like if ever they had to interact Geode might be ramble about something and Momo would just be staring at him lmao

- Fern; Since Momo knows very little about landfolk, I think it Fern just came up to him and started talking (depending on the setting) he probably wouldn't care? Maybe he'd even converse with her. His pod uses the stars when traveling so he knows a fair bit about constellations and whatnot. I think they'd actually be able to hit it off, though that does depend on how well she deals with him as a whole.

- George; They share alot of the same electives, though due to age I don't think they'd be in th same classes, so interactions (or at least seeing each other) would most likely be boiled down to if they happen to be in the music club at the same time?

- Devan; Different people, so I don't seem them interacting much. If they do, Momo would be generally indifferent to him. Not in a negative way but moreso like he doesn't really hold a standing opinion on him.

- Joy; He'd find her low-key very intense, especially if he sees her more competitive side. She's definitely alot of things that he's not(in a good way-) and he'd admire her but also have trouble actually holding a conversation.

- Soren; another person who would low-key making Takeo nervous. He's admire how Soren does what he wants, but also would never actually approach him.

- Arya; uhhh idk. Takeo is a pretty solid rule follower, so the only way they'd interact is if Arya goes out of his way to get him in trouble? Which would then lead to Takeo disliking him, but for now I'd say neutral but generally avoid him.

- CJ; they share Herbology and Alchemy as electives, but I think Takeo wouldn't really have much of an opportunity to talk to her since I feel like she'd be surrounded by friends, and he's not good with people in general (especially larger groups).

- Jordan; Tbh, I see alot of potential for a friendship between the two. They share an elective and I think Takeo might be curious about another were since he's only really had himself to go off of. I do want him to have a friend who he builds confidence off of, and I think Jordan might be a fit. Yapper x Listener dynamic y'know-

- Ronen; tbh I doubt they would ever actually talk, bc Takeo isn't in music club(cult) and when Ronen was still good, would probably be surrounded by people. I think if anything impact wise, the whole ordeal would just leave Takeo more paranoid about seemingly nice ppl.

- Jackson; definitely spooks Takeo a little (a lot). I think he'd generally avoid Jackson bc people are scary but that guy...that guys especially scary.

- Keefe; Oh wow popular guy, that's terrifying. Not really, but Takeo has terrible social anxiety and wouldn't know how to talk to him at all. In general though, Takeo would admire him bc Keefe navigates social settings the way he wishes he could.

- Geode; Aw man these guys are two sides of the same coin, awkward yet paranoid. Unsure if they'd actually talk to each other or not due to their awkwardness, but I think Takeo would be relieved at the very least to find someone who mirrors himself and be less afraid(or insecure) about talking if he did talk to Geode.

- Fern; a bit similar to Geode, I think. Since she's initially quiet Takeo wouldn't be as nervous about being around her, though due to age I don't think they'd see each other a whole lot unless she approached him randomly and started talking. Which would freak him out mentally, bc socializing is spooky.

- George; not sure if they'd ever interact tbh, nor how they'd feel about the other. But Takeo is generally very avoidant due to social awkwardness so there's that.

- Devan; One of my options for potential clubs for Takeo was sports bc he's naturally athletic, so if he did join, I think that's when they'd interact. Takeo would probably think Devan is cool and admire him. If Devan did try and do a silly lil prank it might backfire depending on what it was, but generally chill guy vibes.

I love both of your ocs, already! Dont worry, CJ is friendly and if you would want your ocs to speak to her, she can tell her friends to scatter :D

Yes! I totally think the two of them could have an interesting dynamic! And I think it would be a pretty beneficial friendship considering that eventually if Takeo feels comfortable enough Jordan could invite him to the study group if that’s a future goal to get him more friends. Otherwise the two of them can just be werebuddies and go from there!
 
Yeah… inspiration just keeps hitting me over the head with a sledgehammer. If you want to steal one of them, let me know and go for it. It also helps that I’m still on my christmas vacation and am doing nothing but sitting around writing and thinking about writing. Plus I love making ocs and this world is perfect for millions of various types of people and whatnot.
 
Question… are wereinsects a thing? Like can somebody be a werebutterfly, or a werecentipede?

Edit: yes, I know centipedes aren’t insects okay? Werebugs.

Uhhhh... maybe? Pixies are probably closer to the insect thing. Most were creatures are some kind of predator. Maybe a weird mix of pixie and werecreature DNA could result in that sort of transformation?

Love that! I definitely do plan for Takeo to get more friends (as it stands he's nervous around 75% of the population smh) so study group antics will be fun! He'll be happy to sit there and listen to everyone else, and woohoo more friends 🎉
 
We should be close to starting soon! Just waiting on Silent to post his characters (absolutely no pressure bro, take as much time as you need to make and develop your characters well ^^) and get some last connections figured out, and we should be good to go!

I'm so excited to do this with you guys and show off the story I've prepped and see where you guys take your characters and plot. But before we start I do want to ask just a few things!

1. Silent brought to my attention that using Discord for ooc might be a little more efficient. I'm not going to make it a requirement, but I wanted to put it out there that it is an option if u want!
2. I need to know your guys hopes, expectations, and boundaries. I want to make sure every character gets a moment to shine, so if there's anything specific you want to happen you're welcome to post it (or message me if you want to surprise everyone else with it)! I also need to check everyone's boundaries within the story, and see if there's any sort of triggering topics I should avoid. For example, one of my hard boundaries with anyone I rp with is no explicit sexual content and that's final. I also don't do excessive violence and gore, and I don't do stories with themes of suicide. I just want to give a heads up that while I don't plan to be SUPER dark, some darker themes might come up and I am the type of writer that likes to traumatize characters for the sake of the plot, so if there's any kind of trauma that's off the table, let me know. Your well-being is very important to me.
3. I have MANY events planned, and I was wondering if you guys would like a list of some of the school's special events so you know what to get excited for, or should I let them come naturally? Things like dances, festivals, big sports games etc.

3. I think letting them come naturally could be fun, it also lessens the load of things to memorize/prepare for. Plus, I like a good surprise. Then again, you could tell some of us, like reflective of whether or not the students pay attention enough to know ahead of time or not - but that’s just giving you more work! I’m chill either way.
