RWBY: The Years Before: Shadow of Grim

@HoneyBear\-Kat

Oh Goodness, she gave me a silent reply, does that mean I offended her? Mel thought to herself with a worried look painted on her face, "Azure, I'm really sorry, if I had offended you in anyway, I only wanted to do what's best for you!" she said again trying to salvage any sort of budding relationship she thought they had.

Curve walked out of the front gates of beacon. Ozpin thinking he would listen. Curve didn't care, with his 'i'll fuck you up' demeanor, loud steady gait, and half-tattooed face, he pretty much looked like he owned the place. He ran a hand through his hair, his black locks cascading around his face. It might be time for a haircut soon. Curve shook his head. He didn't have time for a haircut, there was too much to do.

Eventually Curve made it down to the docks of Vale. He didn't go out to meet Jackal and his crew, they would come to him. He stood at the end of the dock, placing his hands behind his back, feet placed slightly apart. He could pick out the four figures from the end of the dock. Jackal, of course, the oldest, wearing his trademark black coat. His weapon was carefully concealed under it, Curve respected a man who knew how to pack heat. Then there was Junior, his bat carried on one shoulder. Good choice, they'd need some muscle in the field, and behind the counter. He could see Roman Torchwick, the youngest ever intitiated into his gang at the age of ten. And then there was Fudge, who was almost impossible to miss on account of his bright red hair. Curve liked Fudge. Traditional, and not afraid to throw his weight around.

"Good to see you boss," Jackal said, stuffing his hands in his pockets. Curve nodded, glancing around. "Good to see you too. You've picked some good people to bring with you." "Thanks boss." Junior placed his bat on the ground, leaning on it like a cane. "You wired us some money to buy a place. We were thinking a schnee corp place. Still got him around your little finger?" Fudge barked out a laugh, lighting another cigarette. "Heh! Who you tink yeh talkin to? Dis is Curve we're talkin bout! Nobody just jumps out of 'is pocket just like dat." Curve was obviously highly praised by the members of his circle. This was good. He'd rather not rule by fear, but sometimes it was necessary.

Curve took his scroll out of his pocket and scrolled through his contacts. He pressed Schnee Corp's number and held it to his ear. "Hello, Schnee Corp, this is Schnee's secretary. He is not currently available at the time. Can I take a message?" "False." Curve said into the phone, "Tell him Vacuo's waiting. He'll know who it is." "One moment please," the secretary said. Some music played, and Curve jerked his chin at Roman. "Your area comes first. After the club of course." Curve said. Roman giggled childishly, and Curve rolled his eyes. Schnee finally picked up the phone. "What do you want Curve? Here to threaten me?" His prim and proper tone came from the other end of the line. "No. But we both know what happens when I'm not happy." "All trade stopps, yes, I know. So what is it you want in Vacuo?" Curve almost smiled. Oh how clueless rich people were. "Nothing in Vacuo this time, actually. Got any large buildings you don't use in Vale?" Schnee said nothing. "Well. I was offering to purchase one, but with that attitude I might just seize it." "No no, no need for that," Schnee quickly replied, "There's one in a particularly shady part of town that you'll love. Plenty of space." Curve tapped his finger on the side of the phone. "Good. In exchange for a considerable discount, none of your establishments in Vale shall be attacked. Until you get on my bad side again. Refrain from keeping secrets from me in the future." "Understood," Schnee stated, "Is that all?" Curve hung up the phone without even answering. This was how he handled business.

Boomer steels himself as the Beowulves drew close. The pack was significantly bigger than before, bigger than he thought. "I can take 'em." he said aloud as he got into a defensive stance. "I can do this. My anger will pull me through." He said as his conscience spoke. "Would they want this for you? would they want you to murder animals just for the sake of quelling your rage?" He had pondered this for a moment as a beowulf leaps at him, however, Boomer stopped the beowulf in the air with a shield thrust, gathering energy, but not enough for the hilt of his blade to glow yellow. "I need more energy. Then I can charge my shield, and break their lights!" He thought as he made a joke with the name of his Charge blade. Two more then charged him as he did a Roundslash, hitting their heads as they instantly grow limp as they died. The hilt of his blade now glowing yellow. "Perfect. now just a few more and I have all 5 phials loaded." He thought as 3 more Beowulves surrounded him. One of them jumped on him, but received a blade through its spine, and the second of the tree charged in for a bite, but was smacked with the thrust of his shield. His blade's handle now glows red, and has sparks dancing off of it. "Crap, I am a sitting duck if my blade is overcharged." he thought as a put the sword into the shield, expanding then condensing back to normal size as a shell flew out of the shield. "Cool! now the party can really start!!" he said as he combined his sword and shield into axe mode, and readied for an AED (Amped Elemental Discharge), but put the shield in his left arm, and spun around, performing a roundslash, and Charging the shield, boosting it and making it glow red. The roundslash had hit the 3rd one, and boomer growled as the pack kept coming.

Then Ozpin shows up, Hitting a Beowulf as it Pounced from behind Boomer with his cane. The biggest of the pack then howled, ordering a retreat. The pack left as the alpha growled at Ozpin, who simply stood there nonchalantly, and left. "I hope you did not have a death wish. Because you could have been severely mauled if it had not been for me watching you every time you 'Enter' the forest." Ozpin said as boomer looked at the man, his veins glowing red from his semblance being activated, and his anger being part of it. "I got your letter, sir. But the reason i come out here is because.." "You have a lot of bottled up emotion that needs to be released? I assume that is correct?" Ozpin asked with a smile. Boomer was stunned. But then again, it is not hard to hear fury and bloodlust in his primal screaming as he killed off the Beowulves. "Y... Yeah. You heard everything from those times.... Didn't you?" Boomer asked as ozpin nods. "Yes. Glenda and I did. I see potential in you, Mr. Thorson. But you must control your emotions, maybe you should find another outlet, besides going out at night on your own." Ozpin said as he pats Boomer's shoulders. "We know a lot about you. We chose you because we think you can be a Hunter. and a good one at that."

"Look. I don't think I got what it takes to do it. I've been a Street rat for pretty much my entire teenage life. My parents died because of a human riot against the Faunus. My parents were Faunus. A wolf and a fox. They were coming home with groceries, when a crowd started throwing stones at any Faunus they saw. They did it with such hate, such ignorance. And on that day on, I lived on my own on the streets, only to fend for myself. I have anger towards everyone. Especially my own kind of people." Boomer said as he gripped his blade as tightly as he could, his rage building up as memories flashed in his mind. "I had a good childhood.... I loved my parents with all my heart. But one group fucked it all away for me. Now I am the angry animal you see in front of you. I am not as good as your other students, nor will I ever be. But I wish for one request, sir. I want to be like the others. I want to be able to feel like I am part of something. Part of something big. Will you and the others help me accomplish this?" He asked in a genuine tone. He needed the help of others to learn how to function like a member of society. "I want to be known as a student at Beacon. Not a homeless child who lost his Faunus family, and Is bullied because of who raised him."

"Glenda. What do you think?" Ozpin asked as he turned to Ms. Goodwitch.

@HoneyBear\-Kat @theManCalledSting @Anyone I missed.

Glynda scoffed at Ozpins question. "What I think is we should get him back to the school," She said, hefting the large parcel of bark the students had collected earlier, "And make an announcement the forest is not safe. He shouldn't have been out here in the first place without a teacher, and he's lucky they weren't like..." Glynda's voice trailed off, referring to the ones her little bark collecting expedition had run into. Sentient grim. The grim boomer had just chased off didn't seem to be any ways out of the ordinary, they behaved like they usually did. Glynda shook her head. "My point is, if he wants to release pent up energy, we have the training room for that. And boomer dear, you're definetely not the least complacent student i've ever taught." She added the last part, remembering Curve, who was by far the worst vagabond she'd ever had in this school.

"Well Miss. Like i said. I am a Street rat." Boomer said in reply to Glynda's statement to him. "And to be honest.... I came here every night, before you two sent me the letter. And I had a feeling that one of you watched me every time." he said as he looked at the both of them. "Clearly they have grown much larger in terms of groups. Let's head to my office, to discuss a few things." Ozpin said as he smiled at Boomer. Boomer then looked at Glynda, and spoke "Need help with that? You seem like you are carrying a lot of bricks." he said jokingly. Though Glynda may not be one for humor, but Boomer was being as genuine as possible, since after all, He was raised a gentleman. "By the way Mr. Thorson. Where on earth did you get your weapon?" Ozpin asked as Boomer bluntly said, "I made it myself. I infused Red Dust into it as well." "Interesting. Never heard of a weapon with Red Dust infused in it. Anyways, we should be heading off." Ozpin said as he led the way to his office. @Alstromeria

Curve stretched, cracking his back. "Deed's done," he yawned. Business transactions involving numbers always bored him a bit. "Jackal, give me your scroll." The older cartel member immediately obliged. Curve punched in some info, then tossed it back to Jackal. "You've got more than enough cash left to make the place look nice. Set up a bar, a back room, the essentials. Adress and info's there." Curve nodded at junior, who saluted with a smile on his face. "Once that's done, Roman, go about acquiring as much illegal substances as fuckibly possible. Drugs are good, the gangs will like that, but if you happen upon some dust, snatch it up fast. We need to be number one supplier and distributor here." "And there's nothing we'd rather be!" Roman said, tipping his hat with a smirk. Curve nodded in conferment, this kid had spunk. Curve appreciated that, Roman would be going places. Jackal had picked just the right people for this.

"And while he's at that, Jackal, I'm going to need you to recruit. Talk with some of the local thug rings about who's boss here. You get any resistance, have Fudge talk to them instead." Fudge seemed pleased, as he lit another cigarette and spun his knife with his cocky, wolfish grin, but Jackal didn't seem so sure. Curve picked up on this almost immediately. He raised his eyebrows at Fudge, who punched Jackal in the shoulder. "Aww, what'sa mattah Jackie?" he mocked, Tall dark an' scary got yeh tounge-tied?" Jackal shook his head, rubbing his arm where Fudge had punched him. "Well, yea, boss, about that..." Curve's tattoos glowed. He was listening now. This could be a problem. "Go on." "Some guy in a cloak with a sword came, told us the guy he was working for had control of most of the local gangs..." Curve glared at him. His words trailed off to a wimper, and Curve spread his arms wide. "Well what's the problem? Nothing we haven't been up against before." Jackal kicked the dock a bit sheepishly. "Well, yea, I know, but-" "But what?" Curve interjected, "We have a guy. In his pajamas, I hear. Coming and telling you to step off. And what does he do, sprinkle fairy dust all over the place?" Fudge answered the next question for him. "'E wears a mask," Fudge tossed the card to Curve, "Got 'imself a lil' sumthin that creates a portal. 'E left dat way."

Curve crumpled up the card, tossing it over the side of the dock without even looking at it. The dark water permiated its surface, reducing it into a wet, sloppy mess in a matter of seconds. "I still don't see the problem. You guys have dealt with worse. If you can't do it, I will. Now, I probably should be getting back to beacon. Let me know when the club's set up, I'll bring Sward down to see you again Junior." Curve got up to leave, straightened his tie, and began walking down the street. "Uh, boss?" Jackal called after him. Curve stopped, turning around. "What do we do if the guy in the cloak comes again?" Curve turned around, sending his last remark over his shoulder with as much insenitivity as possible. "Shoot him."

With some time passing, Glynda, Boomer, and Ozpin are in his office, with the two standing, and Boomer having a seat. "So, Young man. We are going to discuss some things with you before we let you go. But first, I would like to get to know you more. Let's start with your name, even if we already know it." Ozpin said as boomer took a deep breath, and spoke. "My name is Boomer Thorson. I am 17 years old, and I have about 9 years of general education under my belt. That may not be much in terms of an interview, but it's all I got." he said as he crossed his arms. Ozpin nodded, and looked at him. "Who gave you your name?" "The couple who raised me told me my name came from my Birth Parents." Boomer said as he got slightly emotional on the topic. "Who is this couple?" "They were faunus. A male Wolf, and a female Fox. They were basically what any kid could ask for really. They cared dearly about me, they taught me many things when I was young. And mostly, they made me feel like I belonged with the Faunus, Which is not common among youngsters like me.... I know this, because I was bullied constantly, and even assaulted for having parents who are Faunus. That is why I have no friends.... because I avoid others purely because of the fear of being bullied."

Boomer took another deep breath, and exhaled slowly as he calms down.
"I see. So you were constantly picked on because of your parents. I cannot say that I have heard of such a thing. But it is believable. And you do know that at this school you will be assigned a Team, and have to actually socialize with others, correct?" Ozpin asked him as boomer nodded. "Yes. I do know that. It's just.... I am not really the kind of person people want to hang out with...... It's because..... No. I will not talk about that." "You do not have to, if you do not wish to. anyways, where did everything go wrong?" He said as he took a seat, clearly interested in Boomer's answers. "It was when I was 14. 3 years ago. There was a riot caused by the White Fang's peaceful protests. They started throwing stones as hard as they could. only 2 Faunus were killed. and those killed..... were my adoptive parents. They were caught in the crossfire when coming home from shopping, and were not paying attention. I was there..... I saw it all. The pools of red, the fear, the anger...... and that was when I started living on my own in the streets." boomer said, completely calm, but still hurting on the inside. "5 days later, I discovered my Semblance. I was being harassed by some of the bad boys in the local area. They ganged up on me, and started slugging. I got so enraged, I exploded. LITERALLY. I blew them all away into a wall, which belonged to a Cafe. I fled before anyone realized what happened..... and hid ever since then." Boomer said as he sighed. "You... Exploded? I have never heard of a semblance being Explosions, in my entire Career as a Professor." Ozpin stated with intrigue.

"I know. All of this is unbelievable...... Ever since I lost my family.... I became a Ticking Time Bomb. I became mentally unstable..... and I was miserable." boomer said, striking some worry in Glynda and Ozpin.
"We are concerned about mental Instability at this school. I believe you are the first case at this school, but I could be wrong. Boomer, You are safe here. You will not be harassed, you will not be subjugated, and most importantly, you will learn many skills, which will be used for your whole life, and you will learn how to be a member of society, as an individual." Boomer scoffed at hearing the word 'Concern'. "Yeah. That's what they all say. After saying that word, they started running away from me, pissing their pants as they scream at the top of their lungs. I was a freak to everyone.... A FREAK. The only group who actually accepted me.... were the Faunus. They respected me... unlike any other human they meet. All because I accepted their culture. I became apart of it, and felt like I was one of them. But.... They could not help me with my problems.... they cared... but were afraid to do so, because of how much of a bitch Human society is. I do not mean to insult my own race, I am simply stating facts from my view. And please excuse my language.... I just get really passionate about these kinds of things." Boomer said as he scratched his head as Ozpin looked at him in shock. "My, my. You certainly have a lot to say, don't you." Ozpin asked him in amusement. "I do..... and you two are the first to listen to it all. No one else would, and I do not want to tell any sob stories or something to other students...... because I don't think anyone cared enough. I isolate myself for a reason. I did it out of Fear, hatred, and pain. I thought if I could isolate myself, then I won't hurt anymore...... I was wrong.... dead wrong. It all found a way to get me, one way or another. Whenever an explosion happened, and I was around the area, I would be instantly blamed, and chased down by the cops...." "Sounds like this causes some trust issues with human beings?"

Boomer was afraid to answer him, but decided to do so anyway. "Yes..... I hated everyone around me because of it." "What of your weapon? How did you make it?" Boomer chuckled. "Lightbreaker? I made him using plans i found in an abandoned house that I squatted in on a rainy week. I also made him using parts of a dead monster..... though it appeared to be something that was never seen by anyone. It was not grimm, and i could tell because it was as hard as obisidian, but with a black/greenish hue. And it had yellow goo seeping from the fists, head, and tail. And the red dust infusion? I used the goo as a component when making my weapon, I basically mixed them both used it as a binding agent, which is so strong that my weapon would never break." Boomer said as he smiled. "This Charge Blade has been my weapon ever since." "Charge Blade? That is what you call it? Anyways, moving on. What of your insignia? or tattoo?" Ozpin asked him as boomer rolled up his sleeve. "That? I found a picture that looked just like it at the abandoned house, and had someone tattoo it on for some labor. i did it because I wanted to stand out." "Alright. I see."

Ozpin looked at the time. "I will let you go right now, it is late. We will continue this tomorrow. I did enjoy getting to know you MR. Thorson." "You know Professors..... Even though one of you may not have much to say.... It still made me feel better that you both listened..... I never had that in a long time.... and I greatly appreciate the time you have set aside." Boomer said as he left the office, tired and bushed. "Boomer is certainly something, Is he not, Glynda?"

Locke looked at Sward in guilt. "Sward... I- I'm sorr-" Sward just patted the small childs head. "Its alright its alright. I haven't had an injury quite like this since I left Shade Academy. Heck I remembered being impaled a few times though my chest and arm and there has been no permanent damage. It's mostly because of my aura and semblance. Anyhow don't worry about it. I'll be fine by... let's see here.. late tomorrow afternoon? Yeah tomorrow afternoon. Now I don't know about the two of you but i'm starving." As Sward said this Locke instinctively hugged his friend and began to cry. Just a little. Sward was a bit surprised by this but just patted Locke's head again. As Locke let go he looked 100 times better then his gloomy self. Heck he was so happy he forgot he still had a black eye. "Come on follow me!" And Locke rushed to the cafeteria with a smile on his face.

Jett reappeared on top of a building that was still under construction. He was rather pleased with himself. He finally had a few targets for practice. It won't be long until he makes plans for a full frontal Assault n all the remaining gangs in the city that stayed neutral or opposed him. He remembered all the good times he had turning the criminal underworld into his own little playground. The gangs all knew what kind of power he possed and so much more. It will be quite exciting in this little city he was in. Just then a beowulf was scaling the side of the building and leaped in front of him. It had a note and a package tied around its neck. As Jett read the note his smile kept on getting bigger. Then as he opened the package and had the item at hand he began to laugh maniacally. Just then Garnet spoke. "Oh will you just shut your big mouth Jett." This made Jett turn in surprise. "How long where you sitting there?" "Long enough Mr. Cloak and Dagger. Anyhow where have you been?" "Oh just saying hi to our new guests." "I know who you mean, but why were you idiotic enough to introduce yourself?" Jett put his hand and waved it in a shooing motion. "Oh please a guy has to have his fun. Besides I know what they are most likely doing here. They're setting up camp somewhere in this city, but it will take a while before we can pinpoint there location and flush them out. If they make any trouble for us I will personally see that they die by my blade" "Funny. I took you more of the running type rather than a fighter." "Oh shut your damn mouth. Any who why are you bothering me. " "You know why" Garnet said in a dark and intimidating tone. "Fine lets be off." As the pocket dimension opened Garnet caught a glimpse of what Jett was holding in his hand. it was a strange liquid ina a test tube, but what was strange was the fact that it had Ragnarok's stamp on it. Jett saw Garnet peeking. "Its a present from our dear commander for the both of us." (Portal closes and both disappear.)

KURO MAYONAKA

After every member of Kuro's team had met up in their room, it was time to begin his talk. This affected everyone at Beacon, but he wouldn't have the organizational talent to gather all of the teams into one spot. Goodwitch and Ozpin most certainly knew about the problem and would probably inform the school of the danger later today or tomorrow.

"Alright gals and guy, we need to talk about what happened in the forest. And please, don't interrupt me until I'm done," he started off. "Those Grimm out there that we fought off, they weren't normal. Normal Grimm attack to kill and don't stop until their targets are dead. What we went up against today, they were smart. They evaded attacks, took cover, that ain't normal Grimm. Question now is, how did this come about?"

@HoneyBear\-Kat @theManCalledSting

OJ smiled and shook his head. He was glad Sward was more forgiving than Curve. It seemed Sward was the exact opposite of his partner, but just as strong. Come to think of it, where was Curve? OJ shook his head again, trotting to keep up with Locke. Like Sward, he was getting pretty hungry as well.

Curve strolled back to beacon. He really didn't want to be here. But that was the deal, he'd have to attend school here or Shade would come back and pick him up. Eventually he would stop, but he didn't have enough influence to do that yet. Soon, though, soon.

Curve sat upon the lawn of Beacon, laying back under the shade of a tree. Ozpin's voice crackled over the loudspeaker. "Attention students, this is a public service announcement. No student shall be allowed in the emerald forest for any reason as of today. Not even in the exception that a teacher is with you. Please, stay on school grounds and within sight of others. This is simply a precautionary measure. Thank you in advance for complying." Curve almost smirked, exhaling a bit through his nose. He was wondering how long it would take to lock the place down.

Thinking back to his 'staff meeting' earlier in the day, he assessed the pros, cons, and threats. Pro: His core personel couldn't be better. Absolutely nobody could handle the situation as well as Jackal, Junior, Roman, and Fudge. Levelheaded and not afraid to react, all of them. Con: the criminals. Curve would either have to induct them into his cartel -Excuse me, alernate law enforcement- or kill and/or detain them to show the people of Vale what he did in Vacuo. Curve favored induction first, then detainment. After a significant amount of people were detained, he could go about killing whoever he wanted. Killing anyone at this stage would do more harm than good to his plans.

Then there were the threats. The dude in pajamas. Yep, Curve was right the first time, he'd have to be shot. No doubt about it. Fudge or Junior could take care of him if it really came to that. But any violence henceforth would be linked to gang violence, and in order to be involved in gang violence, you had to be a gang. Which Curve and co. wasn't. Yet. That led to recruitment. Given that there were less criminals in Vale than there were in Vacuo, Curve only estimated (and his estimates were usually correct) At most seven other gangs with again, at most 20 members each. Jackal had said most were in Mr. Pajama's pocket. So at least two were netral, and one was against. And then the white fang, which was against crime in general. That was how Curve would get his orginization to be recognized as protectors. Additional thugs could be picked up at the club by junior. Wouldn't be hard with the amount of booze he served.

Curve's stomach growled, but he didn't feel like eating. He convinced himself he wasn't hungry and fell into a listful doze on the school lawn.

Sterling was leaning on a fence looking at his new weapons. They were "gifts" given to him by Ragnarok. He studied it very closely and saw how advanced and complicated it all was. It was most curious. He started to aim it all over the place and started to fire it obliterating everything in a blast of electricity. He continued to do this until a random cargo container crashed almost on top of him. Sterling saw the shadow underneath him just in time before squish. As he laid on the ground he could hear laughter. "SSSSLLLLAAAAATTTTTE!" Slate's head poped out from behind another cargo container. "Slate! What the f***! You almost killed me!" Slate had his hands behind his head and had a grand smile on his face but was not visible because of the mask. "Oh lighten up Sterling. I saw you playing with your new toy so I wanted to try out mine." He then continued to a nearby cargo container and started to bench press it. "Besides.. (Huff) We have to test these (Huff) babies out and (Huff) and..? (Huff) " Sterling face palmed and said underneath his breath "And continue our surveillance" "Oh yeah that!" Slate stopped bench pressing the train cart and was now hitting the side of an abounded storage building causing huge cracks and holes all over it. He threw one last punch and the whole building collapsed. "Man this guy can really make weapons." Sterling still had his hand on his face/ mask. "Your an idiot. Well even though we are on the farthest docks away fro the city no one can see what we are doing." Just then Jett and garnet appeared in front of Slate who was now juggling crates and was so surprised of the two appearing right in front of him caused him to slip up and have all the objects land on top of him. Slate spoke. "Come on you numpties its time to go to our little gathering." He helped Slate up and Sterling was walking towards them. "Alright! Onward!" Slate began to walk away from the others until he was stopped by Sterling. Sterling was pretty pissed still. "Slate. Go in the por-" "NONONONONONONONO! I hate that thing!. It messes with my brain." "Oh brother... (Its not like he has anything in that empty head of his to have a headache.) Relax Slate we will take a different way." "Really?" "NO. This is for almost flattening me like a pancake." And with that Sterling kicked Slate and the group disappeared. Leaving the remains of a destroyed abounded storage facility.

Mel raised her hand an answered her leader, "The Grimm are adapting to the hunters and huntresses and now they've gained some sort of intelligence but..." she paused and gave a sly smirk and continued, "We Hunters are way smarter... We need to be quick on our feet! Any moment of hesitation might get us killed! I say this is our trail by fire..."

Azure Snow

Kuro had a point. They were smarter than the average grimm, and the beowulf pack was much larger than normal packs in the wild. So what was behind it? How did they learn to duck and cover, or evade certain attacks. Most grimm are blinded by their own rage they dont think about those things. They run on primitive instinct, but these ones...ran on something a little bit more than just instinct. Kuro paused for any ideas or theories and Mel jumped right in. She looked at her team mate across from her while she sat on her bed and nodded to ensure she was listening.

Mel did have a good theory. Theyre adapting. But how? Who or what taught them to adapt. Perhaps it was just evolution? Survival of the fittest right? Now that humans have evolved to fight these creatures off nature has to bring both forces to an equilibrium, even if it does mean smarter grimm. Azure shrugged, about to mention her thoughts that it just may be a strange pack of beowulfs when suddenly a PSA by Ozpin was made. Fluffy ears twitched at the voice and the fox remained silent. Ozpin ordered that no one set foot in the forest. Not even with super vision. Azure ate her words back up, now there is something weird. What was Ozpin afraid of? Hunters and huntresses fight off grimm all the time, whats keeping them from doing so this time? Heterochromic eyes stared at Kuro after the PSA, to his reaction from it. The fox didnt say much, but its not hard to tell her mind was deep in thought.

(Been so long so uhh...eyyy?)

Ivory hid silently in her team's closet. She let the light of the outer room seep through the cracks and into the gleaming blade of a dagger that she had managed to procure from somewhere. She let out a slight giggle as she let the light reflect off of her blade and show her reflection. She was waiting for someone to open the closet door so she could freak the everliving crap out of them only for her to grow bored off sitting on the same spot for some time. She kicked open the door and slid out of the closet, tucking away the dagger in her back.

She heard the announcement and sighed, there went the plan of woodcarving a wooden mask. She went to the school lawn and spotted someone lying on the ground. She silently went to him and bent over to stare at his face in curiosity. @Alstromeria

Upon hearing ozpin's announcement that prohibited anyone from entering the forest, Silas grew worried as she listened to other team's theories. She had to admit, she was a fraud of the Grimm before, now things have gotten worse as they became smarter. She went to her team's dorm, and started to panic internally, not expecting anyone there. She began to think as the room remained silent. @Metaphysics

Asher finished eating his dinner in the cafeteria and decided he was due for a nap. He walked to his team's room, slouching and loose. When he finally made it to his dorm, he saw Silas, and she did not look likd herself. "You alright? You look upset... The Grimm?" Asher asked with a still face. He had to make sure his team was always alright. He was responsible for them. He was here older brother.

OJ got some fried chicken from the cafeteria. He sat down, diging in. He glanced at Sward, then at Locke. He hadn't seen Locke this happy around someone new in quite awhile. OJ believed that with patients, teamwork, and with a little time, their team could be the best at beacon this year. He took another bite of fried chicken, taking another glance at Sward. He was one fast healing guy.

Curve was enjoying the sun, or as close as he could get to enjoyment. He was... Content. Planning ahead never did any harm. He was anticipating a shift in the light of the streets in his favor very soon. Curve felt an object block his sun. Opening an eye a crack, he saw a white haired girl bending over him. "Problem?" He stated gruffly, a bit groggy from his period of relaxation.

Carter "Grey" Greyson

Grey roamed the room, listening to Kuro as he spoke but he was organizing his things that were just brought into the room. When he settled his stuff, he stood at the doorway with his hands at his hips, taking in the whole room,'The beds are too close,' he thought. As Ozpin made an announcment trough the intercom, Carter went to his bed and took liberty of moving it all the way against the wall, away from the others. The sound of the wooden bed frame scraped along the ground for a moment before there was silence again. 'There,' he thought,'Thats better.' There was a significant gap between his bed and the other three, he preferred it that way.

As soon as he was finished with rearranging he looked back to Kuro and the others,"Maybe youre looking too deep into this. Sure i think its suspicious, but it isnt our job," he stated," well not yet..." he mumbled. Grey continued,"The grimm wasnt our problem, we had a task to collect Glynda's special tree bark and thats that. The grimm was just an obstacle, nothing more." He shrugged and turned from them, taking his weapon and setting it on the bed with his back to the rest of the group,"Sometimes its best we dont get into things that we shouldnt. The grimm were weird, so what. We should only deal with the matter if Ozpin asks us too, then you know its serious. But until then, let Ozpin take care of it, give him a chance to figure out his next move before doing something on your own and getting us killed," his gun made a click as Carter snapped the magazine back in.

Kuro had a point but so did Carter. He wasnt trying to shoot anyone down, he was just trying to tell them to take it easy, take it slow. He didnt want them getting ahead of themselves or worrying if the problem ends up being smaller than they think and then suddenly taking action. However there was that big what if, but they can worry about it when the problem is in their path. Carter's method with these things was to step back, let the chips fall, and figure out something from there. If you rush in, you rush in blind. Stepping back and looking at a problem from the outside was how he solved things.

However...Grey isnt the best at explaining or expressing himself gently...or in a kind manner.

Morganite just shrugged he didn't really mind one way or the to her he didn't plan on going to the forest today anyways. This just meant that he could work on some homework or maybe practice some, though he always hoped he could practice alone and use more than just his great sword form of his weapon as he took great pains to hide that it could change.

" Well don't be you and i are huntresses we are going to kill grimm" Morganite said not exactly worried about one of hie team mates fearing the grimm.

"You don't understand...... Ever since I was a kid.... I have been afraid of them. My parents were mauled by a pack of Beowulves... And did not live." She said as a tear fell down her face. "You know what that's like, right....? You understand how it feels?"

Morganite could lie and say he did, but he didn't there was no way he could honestly know, but he could compare he had lost his sister and that had mostly driven his parents mad and caused him to start living as a girl. So he had lost someone but not like that he had become the person he lost lacking any real identity of his own. " I would say i do but a twin brother is different from parents and i was always the favorite so little changed in the end, but if your scared of them why are you trying to be a huntress whose job is to go to them and kill them?" He said more interested in changing the topic to her life instead of his.

"Because I want to conquer that fear!" She exclaimed with anger and passion. "I want to be able to slay them without hesitation! That is why I am here!" She said with light irritation, and looked at Morgan. "But... I am just a scared little child, who cannot fill her giant boots. I feel like coming here was a mistake..... But at the same time... I can learn how to grow up here. Especially with a team."

Morganite could understand the desire to change he was getting there himself as well he was able to step out of his sisters shadow here, yet it was easier to just remain her rather than make up for lost time, even if he was being a bit more lazy than she would have, but he was trying to pretend to be someone based off their personality when they were ten.

" Good answer i guess, well you know what they say heroes are the people who feel fear but fight anyways" he said with a shrug having little to answer that emotional outburst.

"That is what I want to do..... I want to fight, despite being a pansy about the Grimm. I want to change..... I want to do right, and find who I am. And this school will help me with all of it." She said as she grabbed Conqueress, and started looking at it. "As long I have my blade.... And team. I am as strong as a mountain, with my team supporting me, and vice versa."
