Joseph stood upvand walked towards the door. Nice to meet you Navi. Joseph opens the door and looks back at his team. So I know I'm not the only one that's hungry after being asleep for a long time. Let's hit up the cafeteria. Shall we team. @Dragonfry @GasMaskie @Rozalski

You know what, at least he seemed enthusiastic. As long as he didn't spend his day trying to sell her that disgusting stuff, Jade was okay with the guy. "If you've got half the enthusiasm in a fight that you do with bad soda, I got a feeling you'll be alright, Navi." she teased. "Seriously though, good to meet you and everything."

Jade looked at Joseph, who seemed to have the same idea as her about getting some food. She glanced at her scroll, stomach grumbling in agreement. "Well, I guess we don't really have time to grab something in town anymore..." she looked over at Navi. "Hey, you've been here a while, right? Will the cafeteria still be open now? And, if it is, can you show us the way there? I'm not exactly the greatest with directions." she said, smiling. Honestly, she'd probably be able to find it herself, but might as well try and include the guy properly. She didn't want it to be awkward, and he seemed nice enough despite his strange entrance. Hopefully the cafeteria had something other than Chill to drink.

Unlike Clara, who dove back towards the dorm room when she was done, May bolted towards the library, an excited expression on her face. While it was starting to get late, surely, it wouldn't last that long?

Well, she was wrong.

The library was massive, books towered in the shelves that was bigger than her own home as a child. In fact, the library was bigger than any building she had went to as a child, and it was stock full of books! Dashing from place to place admiring the collection, her eyes twinkled brightly as numerous stories she had never even heard of lined up neatly against each other. Her hands were full as she brought it all towards a single table, slightly tottering on her feet. What else?! She should borrow some books for the others, as well! May didn't exactly, know the preference of what everyone could read, but she could always start with classical literature and original stories of the Remnant. No one can exactly be bored by some myths, legends, and some old-timey stories, right? Oh, and Kuro...

Kuro floated around her mind for a second. He was incapable of reading normal books, so how was he going to study, or take notes during class, or read? Pondering this for a few minutes, a new idea floated around in her head. Was he capable of reading Braille? Surely there were braille-written books in such a grand library.

Struggling to reach the highest shelves as she wandered dreamily around the library, this place was pretty much what she had imagined heaven to be like. At least, a very close equivalent to it. Time seemed to pass like a breeze here, and over a course of probably an hour of just searching, she came across a book written in purely pertruding dots.

"I wonder how many books I'll have to put back..."

Clara came back to an almost empty room. It seemed that Kuro had left and only Indigo was left.

Closing the door behind her, she left him to do his own thing and jumped on her bed, landing on her back. She bounced a little into the air, her hair fanning out as though there was no gravity. After landing back down, she stared above her to the ceiling and sighed. Clara felt oddly comfortable, not due to her being on the bed, more the feeling. She felt at home, she felt...right.

Without looking, she aimlessly patted the bedside unit with her hand until she felt her scroll under her fingers and picked it up. Opening it, she could see all her classes that she needed to take. After scrolling the list, she felt somewhat disappointed there wasn't any Semblance dedicated training classes.

Maybe I can train it in Unarmed/PT..

Sighing again, she sat up and pondered her abilities. The faunus now knew what her current limit was, being the airship incident in that weird dream but she wasn't sure if that was actually all she was able to achieve, that being the fact it was a dream.

Reaching down into her trunk, she fetched her notepad and opened it to the last few pages. Tearing out a page, she began to fold it in places like her mom used to show her.

A memory she had once forgotten surfaced and as it played, Clara smiled at the warmth feeling it gave off.

"Ok, watch what I do," her mother told the younger version she saw in her mind. They were sitting by the fireplace, flames crackling softly as the heat pulsated through the room. Clara was 10 and had asked how to make creatures with paper, just like the kids at her school did.

They sat around the lounge table and she watched as her mom had just finished making a paper butterfly. Staring at it in amazement, Clara's mother, picked it up and pretended to make it flutter around her, causing the young faunus to giggle.

As Clara thought of that memory, she smiled to herself, finding her fingers working without her knowledge, seeing them weave over the fold. A few minutes later, a paper butterfly nestled inside her cupped hands.

Raising them to her face, she gently blew on it, immediately interacting without with her semblance, moving the wings and making it fly around her.

@Rozalski @TheOnlyCatbug @Entarriance

Indigo noticed Clara coming into the room. He waved and went back to his drawing, he was almost finished with the fox outline. He looked at her periodically, then he noticed her blowing a paper object. "Hey, what... what's that?" He asked, hoping for some conversation. He got lonely in there but he was occupied with the illustration, it had to be perfect.

@LadyClara

At that point, Kuro had made it back before Clara could respond. Clara glanced over at him, noticing that he was carrying things back in. She shrugged to herself and went back to her butterfly that she was making fly around her. The faunus giggled quietly, the feeling of joy coming to her as it brought back those memories.

Clara wasn't paying attention when Kuro was rummaging around in his bag and didn't notice he was placing things on her team mates beds until he threw something towards her.

"Oh, and this is yours," he told her. The movement of his arm throwing something in the air caught her attention from the corner of her eye. Instantly, the butterfly stopped moving and fell to the bed, lifeless, as her head snapped round towards him. Quicker than she thought was possible for her, she raised her hand, stopping the item millimetres from her skin.

Clara inspected the small bag, a curious look on her face. As soon as she read the second word, her eyes lit up, her lips parting slightly.

"Gummy...fish?! This is a thing and I'm only finding out about these now?!" she exclaimed, her voice getting volume increasing a little bit. "Oh...my...god.."

The small back plopped down on her hand as she began to tear open the top. Picking a small fish out, her ears twitching, she threw one in her mouth and chewed. Her eyes rolled back as she savoured the taste.

This is so good..

Opening her eyes, she swallowed the first piece and looked over to Kuro, holding the bag out.

"These are really good. Thank you. Would you like one?"

@Rozalski @Entarriance @TheOnlyCatbug

Indigo finished his outline, time for the blue. "Oh, those things?" He thought he knew what she was talking about, then he looked at the weird looking candy. "Wait, what are those? Can I have one..?"

Unaware of the quickly passing time, May had her face close up against two books. One of them was in braille, and it appeared to be a very popular Greek-based play that had been translated, probably because it was so popular among literature students to read. But for her own curiosity and the best interests of possibly her teammate, she was translating the braille for herself with the other copy in hand.

"Hm... so A is 3 dots in that order... and B is..."

A part of her did come to the consideration that perhaps it'd be annoying. No one really likes to be babied or spoiled, or looked down upon. So maybe doing this was a step too much. But if she needed to get closer to her teammates, it was easier to start with what may have been the hardest. Maybe the event from the dream would have shattered any hopes that she had of friendship, but she was determined to do what she could! Indigo looked easy enough to talk to, with his eccentric and happy-go-lucky personality, and Clara was already a kind leader, so they were already bound to get along. Rubbing her eyes sleepily with her sleeve, she rested the side of her head against the book, briefly dozing off. A long period of time tends to get you tired, it seems, but at least she felt at peace alone in the library.

The problem was, she tends to have nightmares easily.

It was like an out-of-body experience, but at the same time, not one at all. It was more of a replay of a flashback if she were to say anything about it, and she idly watched herself the way that she imagined herself, playing a game of hide and seek with her father. But something didn't feel right, something about it didn't look like it was her playing. It wasn't so long ago when she had both eyes, she still had a poorly wrapped patch around her left eye, and it made her feel melancholic. But watching a smaller version of herself look so happy playing with her father made her feel a little better. The weather was cloudy, but it wasn't raining, and a little bit of the sun peeked out from behind the clouds, rays of sunlight similar to the sun through a slightly fogged window. The weather was nostalgic and it felt warm, and there were numerous birds and insects crying out their orchestra.

Another round of hide and seek, and younger May had hid behind a tree. Examining closely, there were marks, cuts, and bruises all over her body. It was all too familiar, but she looked so unusually happy. The leaves swayed above her, and a leaf stuck onto long white hair. As her father came around the shed to find her, she heard not her father talk, but herself.

"Found you."

She watched herself run towards her father, embracing him with her arms around her neck. Though her arms didn't go around his neck, but her hands did. Strangling him, he struggled to pull her off of him, choking and gasping out unidentifiable words. Thrusting something meteallic into the man's body, she watched her father gasp and blood leak down from his abdomen towards the ground, uncomfortably painful gurgling from his throat. Falling limp and tiredly to the ground, the child raised the metallic trowel high over her head again, bringing it down onto the same wound again. Yanking it back out, there was a spray of blood that oozed whenever she yanked the gardening tool out, bringing it down to the man's forehead, arm, anywhere that wasn't bloody, and May was only able to watch.

Murmuring incomprehensibly as she turned her head against the book in her nap, she didn't seem all too comfortable.

Kuro waved his hand lazily at Clara's offer. "I already ate 2 or 3 bags on the way here." And he want entirely lieing. Kuro had a weakness for sweets. There never really was much of an explanation for why, there was just kind of an attraction he had to them.

In any case, Clara seemed to be enjoying the gummy fish immensely. Perhaps a little too much but it wasn't his place to judge. They were quite delicious. Even indigo had a slight attraction to the candies. Kuro was happy that he had chosen well in his favorite treat.

Still, May was nowhere to be found and it was getting rather late. She would probably want to enjoy the festivities as well. By all odds she was still in the library or somewhere on the grounds. Kuro would go and find her. Beacon was more than likely safe, but he knew that being alone in the dark could be somewhat dangerous.

While Clara and and Indigo enjoyed themselves, Kuro stood up and excused himself. "I'm going to go and find May. It's getting a bit late." Before heading toward the door, he picked up the book that was meant for her. It would give them something to talk about on the way back, or something.

By sheer force of luck and after stopping to ask directions several times, he made his way to the library. The room was big enough that finding May could possibly be an issue, but he had already committed to trying.

(Making this post quickly between raids on Destiny so I'll make another for Nave in a moment. Also, shitty detailing in this one. Apologies.)

@TheOnlyCatbug @LadyClara @Entarriance

Indigo stood up and went next to Clara. His hand moved fast in getting about 14 candies from the bag. He made sure it was enough to keep them both satisfied. He went back to his suitcase and looked inside for a bit, unzipping every pocket. He couldn't find a perfect dark blue for his emblem. "I'll be right back." He quickly went to the library to borrow the perfect shade and started to color on the desk.

((NO WORRIES B R O ))

May couldn't seem to be able do do anything. She watched herself as young May stabbed her father relentlessly over and over again, appearing to derive joy from his dead, mangled corpse. Scared, she shut her eyes, being the only thing that she was capable of doing at the time. And it went quiet.

Confused, she opened her eye, and instead, saw the background she had once been so familiar with change. It was back into first person now, and she felt her small hands grip around a weapon far too big for her. She was shivering, it was raining, and something just felt so loud. Looking behind her, she saw numerous Faunus screaming for equal treatment. It must've been back in Mistral, where while Faunus were deemed as equal by law, poor neighborhoods in Mistral still saw them as savages, as animals. She felt like she knew what to do, but May knew that wasn't the right option. Overtime, however, the Faunus appeared to scream louder, and it was no longer at a building. No, it was at her. They approached closer with large signs and sticks, poles and noticeable objects that would have made noises and stirred up detention, and they merely aimed it at her,

Nightmares were pretty frequent for May, and most of the time, it was rather redundant and repetitive, so she attempted to not let it bother others. At first, May believed that by leaving her hometown, perhaps the nightmares would cease. But the events of her trauma have been a little to recent for her to forget, it seems. What originally had been a nap turned into unconscious torture for her, shifting her head on the book in her sleep. Mays head rested on a Braille copy of a piece of well known Remnant classical literature, while she held tightly into the written copy of the same book. She was known to be a textbook mumbler, murmuring incomprehensible words as if they were fully understandable.

Her heart rate was fast, though, and it wouldn't be far too long before she woke up. It wasn't anything close to a resting heart rate, her breathing just as elevated. Hopefully for her, she'd get some shock in her dream that would wake her up.

@Rozalski (she's on one of the tables d e a d. nah but she's sleeping / stressfully sleeping according to her heart rate)

"Well there's usually a buffet out all day from what wasn't used during the scheduled lunch times." Nave took a moment to recall the way the cafeteria actually worked. Usually, he would just grab something whenever he passed by and eat it on his way to class or take a small mountain up go the room. Now that he had a team, they would probably all want to eat together. Just like a family. "They're probably shutting down soon though, so we better hurry."

The realization of his team missing out on their first meal at Beacon motivated his feet. With a quick turn and without any real warning, his cape fluttering behind him was the only thing anyone could see before even it disappeared around the corner of the door frame. The faint sound of "follow me!" echoed after his thunderous footsteps as he sprinted down the halls of the dorm.

By the time his team would have caught up to him, he would already have a table claimed for them with a few trays of food lined down the center. The staff would have disposed of it anyway, so they didn't mind a team enjoying a late meal.

-----------------

Kuro wandered the library, his cane in one hand and Mays book in the other. Out of all the rooms inside Beacon, this one was probably the most useless to him. Books lined shelves that reached nearly to the cieling, and he couldn't read a word of any of them. The only usefulness he could find was in the quiet that blanketed the surroundings.

He wandered the maze creates by shelves and sitting areas for a while before finding a disturbance. A slight mumbling came from his right as if someone were trying to communicate in an imaginary language. It could have been a real language someone was practising, but he still wouldn't understand it.

After proving the ground quietly with his cane for a moment, he felt the outline of someone sleeping against one of the study areas. Mays form was already familiar enough to him that he could tell it was her almost immediately. Although, she seemed a bit off.

As Kuro drew closer, he took notice that she was more tense than someone resting should be. She appeared more as she had in their fight than anything else. Her breathing was heavy and her heart beat hard enough that he could feel the slight pulse against the table. She was probably just having a nightmare or odd dream, but they had both shared in one of those already.

Kuro reached out a hand to wake her but stopped himself before making contact. She was definitely under stress and waking up from nightmares could often be confusing. If she woke up badly, it could mean the end for that section of the library. It would be a shame to waste so many books, so Kuro room a step and a half back.

Now reaching forward with his cane, he lightly prodded at Mays shoulder. Hopefully it would be a gentle unough awakening that she wouldn't accidentally turn on him or an innocent book. While it was entirely more likely that the former would happen given her apparent love for the latter, it was best not to take chances.

Jade shot out of the room after Navi as he turned. Normally she'd wait for the others as well, but no way was she missing her meal 'cause someone else was too slow. "H-Hey, wait up!" she yelled after the fleeing figure. At least she'd discovered that she could run in the uniform, so that was a plus. By the time she got out of the dorms, she was quite a while behind him, but she saw the doors to a nearby building swinging shut.

"Guess that's the cafeteria, huh? Bigger than I expected, gotta admit." she said approvingly, as she slowed down to a walk. Now that Navi was there, she guessed that they'd have space. She seemed to have beaten their other two teammates there, she noticed as she walked in, with an impressed whistle at the variety of food on the table. How he'd managed to get this much so quickly.

"Nice selection they got here!" she said, taking a seat across from Navi. It was time to take a look at what they had. "Let's see... Lotta sweet stuff here. Pancakes, cookies, ice cream... Hey, are those nachos? Pass 'em over, Navi, would ya?" she took a moment to look over the table some more, filling up her plate as she went. Should she have waited for the others to turn up? Nah, it was their problem if they weren't fast enough.

That wasn't what she expected.

While she was cowering in her dream, she expected the rioters to hurt her, beat her with the signs they were holding, anything that she could have accepted in deals of atonement. Except, she didn't feel it. She felt an odd poking at her shoulder, but no matter how many times she turned around, she was only greeted with the distraught expressions of innocent Faunus.

"P-Please don't hurt me I!"

Jolting awake, May flung herself out of her chair, unaware of her own environment. Toppling out, she rolled onto the ground with a thud and covered her head with her arms, as if bracing herself. For a short period of time, she was shivering, and it was quite literally seconds later before she realized that it wasn't raining, nor loud, and it was pretty dark outside actually. Awkwardly moving her own arms off her head, she peered around timidly. To her right, there were, books. Behind May, there also appeared to be, more books. Ahead of her was the table she was sitting at, with, books. And, to her left, there was a slightly concerned young man she identified with sunglasses (at night?) and a cane out with him. It looks like he was prodding her with i-
"Oh goodness, is it this late?! I-I'm sorry I was having... ah, I'm so embarrassed I-I.."

Stuttering, May was incredibly flustered, tugging at her hair in her own embarrassment and frustration with the situation. She wasn't aware of how quickly time passed, and sure didn't intend to sleep in the library, that's for sure. From how dark it was, it could have been nearing 8 or 9, but it couldn't have been that far into the night with a speckle of light still far from the horizon. Eyebrow(s?) knitted in frustration, she pouted as she stood back onto her feet, trying to grasp on calmly to the situation. It wasn't a lot of situations where she grew incredibly flustered or embarrassed, so this definitely was a change of pace for her. Picking up the Braille book and the written work of classical literature, she lowered her gaze somewhat shamefully as she walked over to him, maintaining her distance well.

"Sorry, I guess I got a little carried away. I'll try and keep track of time next time, I insist!"

Before she could try and rush quickly back to their dorm, May noticed something held in Kuro's hand. While she didn't want to be overly inquisitive, she was definitely curious about any book present in the area, whether it be a children's book or a work of nonfiction. Tilting her body, as if to look at the cover, her voice rose in question.

"What's that? It has quite a pretty looking cover."

As much as she adored books with all of her heart, there were plenty out there she could only dream of ever reading. There wasn't a whole lot she could have read back home in Mistral. The neighborhood was poor, and the Library recieved such low-funding that they even accepted stories written by young individuals, no matter how poorly written or grammatically correct it was. She read everything you could in that small store, and with it never being stocked, it lost interest to her quickly. Reading the same thing over and over again was an endless cycle of redundance to her, and it always brought up a philosophy that maybe nothing would ever change for her. That town in Mistral stayed the same, so maybe she would as well.

"Have, have you read any books before?"

A part of her wanted to go on a huge mystical story-time rant on everything that she's ever read. While it wasn't really, an original story, she always loved to read stories and recall them to others in her own perspective and views. It was a little biased on her part, though there always was an appeal of feeling like you were part of something.

Whatever that wholeness was people had, the wholeness that some people could just summon out of nothing and put it into something that they loved, they were complete in some way that May never was. And made her feel better seeing other people's accomplishments or work, as there always was this sense of accomplishment to see herself in, even if it wasn't her.

@Rozalski

Indigo was finally done. His emblem was completely drawn. He thought he would show it to the others in a later day, when they start to battle each other. His blue fox looked exactly like he saw like in the dream. The pain in the shoulder helped him draw it, otherwise it would be terribly inaccurate. He left it on the desk he drew it on and went onto his bed and laid down. He wanted sleep for the rest of the night, he didn't care how early it was. He wanted some action so why not wait out the unimportant things with sleeping. He liked sleeping anyway, so much he trained himself to lucid dream. He went into a deep sleep quickly, even without the covers on, and simulated him against hordes of grim. He set them to be realistic. He moved a little while sleeping, but not really.

@LadyClara @Rozalski @Entarriance

Kuro recoiled back a little in surprise at Mays sudden spasm that had carried her to the floor. He quickly ruled out that he had prodded her too hard and accidentally injured her. He surely would have felt the extra pressure against his cane.

May seemed just as shocked as he was though. She was going on trying to apologize as if to avoid a scolding from her father. Her body language in the distance she stood from him suggested the same. Kuro felt slightly awkward having that kind of image cast on him as she was clearly directing her apologies towards him. The fact that she had preceeded her amends with: "P-Please don't hurt me I-!" rose a red flag in his mind as well.

Kuro let her go on. His usual dialect was fairly harsh so it appeared to be better for him to say nothing. Seeing May in such a fragile light had for some reason triggered a sense of tact that he didn't even recall having.

It didn't take long for her to compose herself a bit and ask about the book he was carrying. Kuro straightened himself a bit, trying not to appear as caught off guard. Before he could say anything, about the book, she follow up with another question.

"Have, have you read any books before?"

"Heh, once upon a time." Kuro laughed a little with his words and mentally slapped himself in the back of the head for making such a pun. The storybook he carried had obviously set his mind askew. After shaking off the stupidity of his answer, Kuro held the book he carried between himself and May and leveled it with the ground so she could see the cover.

Fairy-Tail Collection

The words inlayed on the hard cover in a metallic gold were surrounded with some branching vines of the same material. Kuro wasn't really much for presentation due to the fact that it had no real appeal to him, but the book had a nice enough simple brown cover. It looked like a classic book that could easily be beloved for generations if taken care of properly.

"I picked this up for you while I was out." He turned his head slightly to one side and tried to sound a bit irreverent. He had entirely forgotten whatever plan he had come up with in bringing the book with him. The reason he had left it on her bed waa so that he could avoid this type of heart-string tugging presentation. The other two were easy. He just tossed them their gifts as he passed and didn't have to say much. Now, here in the library, there weren't any distractions that would let him slip away. May's attention would be fully on him and the book as well as his attention would be on her.

Kuro noted that if there ever were a next time, he would just leave it on her bed and be done with it.

-----------

Nave shoved a bowl of nachos down the table to his teammate, just as requested. At least one of them seemed to be impressed with the food, rather the large selection. She was rightfully impressed. Beacon had a great standard in their catering department. With students coming form every corner of Remnant, they had something for pretty much everyone to enjoy.

Nave raised his bottle of soda slightly with a smile on his face. Somehow in his mad dash, he had managed not to spill any of it. Even more impressive was the fact that his team had been able to keep up withh him. he could already tell that they would work great together
"Cheers then!" His voice echoed slightly in the mostly empty cafeteria, mainly due to the fact that he did speak quite loud and clear.

The dorm room fell silent besides the gentle flapping of Clara's paper butterfly, gently soaring through the air around her bed. It had been some time since Kuro had left the room and Indigo had fallen asleep. Although it seemed early to her, that day had been pretty exhausting from recent events. Strangely, the Faunus didn't feel tired at all.

She lay back on her bed, nibbling on the gummy fish her team mate had brought back from town, her feet in the air and her tail sliding across the covers. In more ways, she acted more like her natural animal would when relaxed. It sometimes gained Clara weird looks and comments but she enjoyed it.

She seemed to be keeping herself occupied, pawing at the butterfly every time it flew near her, merely batting it away from her as she eyed the creation like a hunter would do with prey. Time ticked by unnoticed before dawning on her. Sitting up curiously, wondering why Kuro and May hadn't returned, Clara wondered what she should do.

Maybe they're just spending time together. Who am I to interrupt them? But.. What if they're lost? Then what good of a leader am I to not help them? What do I do..?

The leader stood up and held out her hand, the butterfly fluttering over to her and nestling on her palm. She brought it over to the bed side unit and sat it down. Withdrawing her semblance, the creation tilted to the side lifeless, she looked around the room, pondering on what to do next.

Maverick woke up in a cold sweat in his hospital bed. He opened his eyes slightly and sat up. How long had he been out for? Where was he? These were questions Maverick hoped he would have to answers too soon. As he looked around, he noticed a couple of other people in beds around him. Most appeared to be students. He wondered what could have caused so many people to end up in the hospital in such a short time.

The last thing he wanted was to be kept waiting for answers. He yanked out his IV and stood up. This movement almost cost him his balance as his knees buckled and he lashed out to keep from falling. Luckily, he caught the corner of his bed before he hit the ground. "Geez", he said to no one in particular. When he regained his balance, he took another step towards the exit.

"Heh, once upon a time."

Kuro had responded with a bit of a laugh, before his expression would appear to harden once again. At her question of what the book was, the book was brought between them, allowing May to admire the cover. It was simple enough with a bit of a classical, old-styled tone to it. Something that you could read in class without having crippling embarassment over a silly cover at least, though the title spoke otherwise. It was a collection of Fairy Tales, not some complex novel that she had predicted before hand.

"I picked this up for you while I was out."

From the earlier awkwardness that she had experienced, her expression would relax, despite his hopes of making the issue extraneous. May was already holding a few books herself, bringing them back with her to the dorm. If she was going to the Library, she might as well have gained something out of it. Taking the book held out to join with the short stack that she held with her, she appeared to be gushing with joy, a little more bounce to her step with rising emphasis in her voice. Kuro definitely appeared very, uninterested, but at least he was compassionate enough to get her something! With that logic, he probably got something for the rest of the team as well. It made her feel a little better from the nightmare she had recently experienced.

"What an adorable looking book, I wonder how many fairy-tales are in this! Fairy tales are weird, it's shocking and beautiful and compelling in some ways that don't make quite sense on the surface. I suppose that's a lot like what we're experiencing now. Language in it's childhood, there's so much capability that it holds!"

With a few books tucked under each arm, she quickly flipped through the pages, feeling the crisp pages underneath her fingers as it glossed over each individual page. A familiar feeling of nostalgia washed over again, and for May, it usually was a very drug-like effect. She had experienced bursts of nostalgia so often, as if she had forgotten something in the past, that now it was a numbing ache to her. But May was happy, and her team looked like they would get along just fine! With something to look forward to back at the dorm, she spun in his direction, a affable, beaming expression over her.

"Oh, I tried to find you something too! I, er, I didn't exactly want to assume anything, but I was wondering if you could, well, 'read' this!"

Hesitating between a few of her words to choose the correct vocabulary, May held out a Remnant classic. It was one of those stories that you were very vaguely aware of what happened, it was pretty popular among students to read. But at the same time, it wasn't really a book you truly ever
read, for example, works of Shakespeare. There was a sense of vague awareness to the story, you could probably summarize it, but a good amount of times it wasn't read from cover to back. It was a simple book in appearance, there was a maroon cover that appeared new, as if the book itself has never been touched. But with that, dust was speckled between some of the pages, and May tried to clear that as best she could earlier. There wasn't a single word on any page, not even the cover, but instead, small dots that each held it's own unit of language. Braille.

"I'm not sure if you're an avid reader, but it's always good to read something every once and a while. It gives you something quiet to do~."

May seemed to be rather pleased with the book. Kuro would have to remember to give a good tip to the store clerk next time he went out. Even though most of what May said had gone entirely over his head, he nodded and tried to appear as though he understood. It was booked related, he knew that much at least. "Uh, yeah..."

Luckily, May had begun thumbing through a few pages after her little moment of poetry. Kuro had spent far too long with his own brash and simple thoughts to try and decipher Mays. After seemingly being satisfied, May spun around to him once again.

"Oh, I tried to find you something too! I, er, I didn't exactly want to assume anything, but I was wondering if you could, well, 'read' this!"

Kuro sighed slightly. Once again, May meant well in wanting to share her love of books. However, the tinge of annoyance recurred in the back of his mind. The way she had emphasized 'read' could have been taken mockingly very easily. Not finding any reason that she would want to mock him, he passed it off as just a misunderstanding.
Kuro reached for the book and took it in hand, so as not to ruin her mood. "May, you should know I can't re-"

Kuro's hand gripped the spine of the book and he felt the dots covering the outside. It was strange to have such odd protruding decorations on a book. Why would anyone want uneven bumps to hold while trying to read? The answer came as Kuro remembered one thing he had neglected to learn. There had been enough blind people in history that there was a written language for them. Braille. The book was written in Braille, it had to be. That was why May had emphasised 'read' so much.

"I'm not sure if you're an avid reader, but it's always good to read something every once and a while. It gives you something quiet to do~."

Kuro's cheeks flushed to a slightly pink color for a moment. She had actually taken the time to find a book in Braille for him. His mind wandered on how long it took her to find one amongst all the normal peices of literature. Whether it was a few minutes or much longer, Kuro couldn't recall many people caring that much to go out of their way to try and make him happy since he lost his sight.

"May, I can't read this either way but-" He cracked the book open and ran his finger along one of the dotted pages carefully. It was nothing but bumps to him, but there was a story somewhere under his finger tips. He closed the book gently and let his voice slip into a genuine tone he hadn't used for a long time. "Thank you, May."

Joseph took his time walking towards the cafeteria. He was admiring everything nice thing he saw, ranging from the cool lockers to the pretty girls. He walked into the cafeteria and looked around, he saw that mostly everyone was in there uniform . I wonder if I'll get in trouble for this. He said to himself. He walked over towards Navi and Jade, taking a seat next to Jade and whistles excited about the food. Wooow all this food here and it's all for us. He grabbed a plat with hamburgers and fries on it. He drenched the fries in ketchup. I hope it's as good as back home. He takes bite out the sandwich. His facial expression was as if the sandwich was the best he ever had. He looked at Jade, then at the sandwich, then towards Navi, then back at the sandwich. This burger is amazing!!! He yelled with excitement. He takes another bite then grabs some more burgers. You guys gotta try this. @Rozalski @Dragonfry

Reis moved down the corridor toward the cafeteria she had been staying up late the past few nights to study lore and other class material, as well as chat with her brother over her console. She had not been away that long but it felt like decades and she missed him. The girl being the only family the small boy of six years had left it was important that she constantly checked on him. Reis' stomach rumbled once more as she sighed at its distortion. Pushing open the door she noticed a team was already in the cafeteria however none from her own. She made a bowl of simple noodles and had brought a cold green tea from her room. She took a seat on the other side next to a window and began eating, while doing so she pulled out her notepad that was in her black hoodie pouch along with a pen and began to sketch the courtyard. Between the drawing and her food she was not paying much attention to the others.

Hans looked up from his meal with his mouth full. "Hmmmmph?" He muttered with his lips closed as he stabbed his pork chop with his fork. After he swallowed he spoke, "My name is Hans and this, well, I'll let her introduce herself." He shot Reis a wary glance.

Jade laughed in response to Navi's cheer, raising her cup with him. "Cheers! To the team that's gonna rock Beacon Academy!" she yelled, almost as loudly as her boisterous new teammate. Smiling, she took a swig from her own drink. She didn't pay much attention to anyone around them, but her yell would doubtless have been heard by everyone in the hall.

"Seriously, though, these nachos are delicious! Man, it's been years since I've had some proper food like this stuff!" she said, grinning at her teammates without realising that her statement would probably raise some eyebrows. She was too cheerful to really consider it, just trying to make conversation with the others.

@Rozalski @Embaga Elder @GasMaskie + Everyone else in the cafeteria a little
