"Jade... I don't think she's a wolf Faunus..." Sapphire muttered to Jade quietly, her head hanging downwards. 'Aw come on, Jade! You're giving off that puppy look! No one takes us seriously with the puppy look!' Sapphire exclaimed in her head and mentally facepalmed at the way her old friend was acting, as it got several 'awws' from the people around them.

"Well, I grew up in a family of Wolf Faunuses and she does seem to share traits of a Wolf Faunus..." Mel said now in a more refined manner.


If she had glasses she'd be pushing them up right now...


"Although some humans do share traits similar to a Faunus."

"So like.. it's like a Bayonette on a boxing glove, and you also have a gun or whatever?" She watched in fascination as they collapsed away. "That is.. like, really cool and sounds super complicated. You'll have to show me how they work sometimes. Maybe a quick spar? I'm not too good at close range, but we can try or whatever, right?"


She turned back to Oracle and Oak. "Do any of us actually know when this assembly thing starts, because I'll admit. I don't."

Lilith raised an eyebrow at Mel. Was this girl... flirting with her? Nah. She couldn't be. "Lilith Falciani. Vale." She said, returning the greeting.

"Red is... A powerful color." That was all she said on the matter. She didn't need to explain her fashion choices.


In regard to her weapons, Lilith just motioned towards the long dagger on her belt and the hand cannon at her side.

'Wow! All we need now is a friend from Mistral... And we can conquer all of Remnant! Mwahahahaha!' I think to myself. Out loud I say "Cool! What was it like in Mistral? And I agree Mel. We will dominate everyone! Talk to ya'll tomorrow!" Turning to follow Saph she cries "You're not leaving me sgain Saph!" She runs to catch up.

Hansi saw Sapphire walk away from Mel and the two Faunus girls she didn't know, and gave a small sheepish wave to the Faunus. She hoped the girl wasn't still mad at her. She really hadn't meant to upset her, but she just never knew when to stop with that kind of stuff.


Maybe when this was over they could talk a bit.

Sapphire's eyes caught the simple movement of Hansi's hand and so she waved back slightly. She didn't know if she should have walked over to Hansi or not, as it seemed like she was busy in a conversation with others. Slowly, she walked over to the group, but didn't say anything, trying not to interrupt. She tried perking her ears up, but with all the noise and the crowd of people, they would be glued down on her head for a while.

The Amphitheater...


After some time, two figures began walking onto the main stage of the Amphitheater, the murmurs of the students lowering as the pair took center stage. Anyone who'd taken the time to study Beacon in any form would immediately notice who they were: Professor Ozpin, Headmaster of Beacon, and Glynda Goodwitch.


Once the murmurs had faded, Ozpin stepped forwards to a microphone placed on a stand. He looked over the assembled crowd with an unreadable expression for a moment before speaking.


"Today, those who stand before me have come seeking tutelage in order to become Huntsmen and Huntresses. You all desire to gain power and knowledge, and plan to use these tool s in order to fight the various evils that plague the world of Remnant. Many of you plan to take this path with forward steps filled with optimism and determination to overcome what presents itself as a challenge, and many may take apprehensive approaches in order to ease themselves into the new lifestyle they will be presented with. Though both of these approaches are welcome, I'm afraid neither of which will be enough to carry you through to this journey's end."


Ozpin fixed his glasses before moving his cane to the other hand and taking his leave. Once he was gone, Glynda stepped to the microphone.


"Tonight you will be sleeping in the ballroom," she stated "tomorrow you begin your initiation."


The murmur of students began to rise once more as Glynda explained that they would be leaving for the Emerald Forest in the morning, and that all Weapons would stored in lockers for the night. Glynda then gestured and began walking to the Locker rooms, slowly but surely the students followed after her.


Once in the locker rooms, students were assigned locker numbers and began storing their weapons away in their assigned lockers. Once their weapons were stored away, they began making their way to the Ballroom to set up for the night.

Oracle nodded at Oak, then followed her to the amphitheater. "Yup, I'm Oracle. Madame Misfortune, it seems." She laughed, the looked at her weapon. "Whoa. Thats a pretty big... Weapon..." She stated, clearly impressed and surprised she hadn't spotted it before.

" Oh, yeah this is my sword-gun-thing Boodthorne!" Oak said happily "I designed it myself, But of course we all do don't-" she was cut off by the start of the orientations begining.

Pausing in her run, she comes back over, swinging the bag onto her back and lifting the last two. "I'll take them to the room now, you make allies!" I yell over my shoulder, running after Saph again.

Mel still struggling with her luggage, "Jade, be a dear and help me."
You need to work on your arm strength...


"As you can tell, I'm more of a thinker than a fighter..."

Sapphire breathed a sigh of relief when the principle and his little assistant lady (as she had never payed attention to their names) took the stage and began speaking. When the woman mentioned weapons, the Faunus immediately gripped Lamina that rest by her side. She was nervous about entrusting her precious weapon in a locker, nervous that someone would attempt and take it from her. When the assembly ended, Sapphire followed the tightly packed crowd (one of her biggest fears) to the locker rooms, where she pulled out her weapon and switched it into all of its forms. "Okay, sword, spear, dual swords, and guns.. all good and ready to go for the morning." She spoke mainly to herself, even though the small group that consisted of Hansi and several other strangers were nearby. With a small sigh, she gently placed Lamina into her locker and closed the door. Without her weapon, Sapphire felt completely bare.. that feeling would be hard to get used to.

After orientation, Hansi found her locker, and shrugged out of the bolero that covered her back and weapons. Unhooking the sheaths, and pulling the long ribbon and it's holster off of her back, she stored them in the locker.


Her arms always felt oddly light when she removed her weapons. The odd sensation made her want to find an empty space and dance, get a feel for how free her limbs were, maybe even get a few new steps into her latest routine.... But first.. She turned around to face the ballroom. First she had to find a place to set her stuff for the night.


Separated from her group, she decided now would be a good chance to talk to Sapphire. "Hey! It's weird having to pack your weapons away, isn't it? I only ever take Nila and Baingani off during dance practice and well... that's not really a thing I can do here."

Oak put Bloodthorne in her locker, locker number 999, how great was that! Oak stared at bloodthorne for a moment before whispering "I'll be back my child" creepily. "Hopefully nobody heard, that actually was kinda creepy" she thought to herself. Oak then proceed to the ballroom where she lay her sleeping bag in the corner. She loved corners, who knows why, Oak just did.

Hansi stood awkwardly as Jade spoke to Sapphire.


"A sleepover huh? I guess that's really the best way to describe it." She was a bit curious as to what she meant about her home not being safe, butknew some matters shouldn't be pushed.


"Oh, by the way, I'm really like, super sorry about earlier. I didn't mean to upset you or like, hurt your ears or anything. I just like, don't know when to quit things, ya know?" She shuffled against the ground a bit, her arms wrapped under her chest. "I just. Hope I haven't already like, trashed our friendship."





She gave a sort of brief cough as Melanie approached. "I uh. I guess we like, got off on the wrong foot, or something. I can't guarantee I'll like you, but so long as we can both be civil, I'll try not to strangle you." She gave a light smirk at her small joke, knowing that if Mel really pushed her buttons she just might actually strangle her one day.
