[QUOTE="Jade Dragon]'Hmmm... Red... Well thats a new one...'
"My name is Jade Spade. Nice to meet you. Want help with those bags? I may not be super strong, but I'm strong enough for that! Oh, and your name is?"

Jade's ears and nose twitch hearing something a little disturbing outside the airplane.

I thought I already said that.

"Rosenberg, Melania Rosenberg. Call me, Mel. It's a pleasure to meet you Jade."

Hello new faunus friend

Lazuli

Lazuli was still attempting to drown out the rest of the ship in music when she caught sight of someone trying to call out to her with a bunch of "Wah wah wah wah wah"s. She was fully prepared to ignore the girl except she noticed how she seemed to be in an argument with another girl. Always one for conflict, Lazuli hopped off her bench and removed her earphones just in time to hear the taller of the two tell her to go back, and compliment her shoes.

However, before she could even do that, the fight was over and the two girls went their separate ways, leaving Lazuli less than thrilled. Well, that was boring, she thought. And a complete waste of her time it seemed. So she went back to her seat, again attempting to deafen herself.

A little bit after sitting down, she could see Beacon slowly come into view of the ship. Well, that took forever. She could've done so much in the time she was on this ship. Made a friend. Started a new board game. Got pregnant. Sacrificed everyone on this ship to the great overlord Ursa or something. She was quite bored.

Lazuli was about to get up when some boy snapped in her face. Rude. She stood up, earphones still in and smiled sweetly. "Go **** yourself," she said in an overly cheery voice. "I can take care of myself." She then skipped and twirled off the airship, followed by a few men pushing a trolley of her luggage. As they took care of her things, she made her way to the amphitheater where everyone was to gather.

"I think she was asking me.. My name's Sapphire Stone." Sapphire said, still carying Mel's bags, "These things are light.. How are you struggling?" Sapphire wasn't trying to be rude, just trying to strike up a conversation. He eyes scanned the faces around her casually.

Mel was a deer in the headlights...

"I don't have good arm strength."

Good save.

"Well. Glad that's over" Beo said as she slunk out of the ship. The view was amazing of course, but she still didn't like being stuck in a metal tube for an hour, just gave her pause. As she looked around, no one else seemed to be nervous, except well, throw up. Once her feet were on solid ground again though she relaxed and stretched. Beacon was a beautiful school and those cliffs, she couldn't wait to scale them on her own. Her ears started to twitch in excitement at the very thought. But that would come later for now, she had heard that they had to gather at the auditorium. She figured she'd go early and get a good place, to sleep of course she wanted a nap. So she stretched again and began to stroll slowly to the main building eyes and ears darting to try and take in all the new sights and sounds.

Following the rest of the crowd off the ship, Irving walked with his backpack over his shoulder, bracers on his arms, and towering several inches above most of the other students. His pants and shirt were made of white linen, and his shoes were simple athletic shoes. He currently had his nose in a book and wasn't really watching where he was going. That tended to happen when he was reading a good book.

Such a response hit Jack, and promptly didn't take any effect as he would simply continue to smile and continue on his own way, not really being phased by a sassy attitude like that since in the end, she still wound up doing what jack was trying to get her to do. That aside, he just let out a sigh, as he continued on his own way, tightening his grip on the satchel he was gripping and began to move forward, towards the structure. Looking around a bit as he somewhat detached himself from the crowd moving and sprawling around, and just looked around at the various people around, excited, nervous, all sorts of emotions filling the air as people already seemingly began to form a bit of chatter.

"The heck do we go." He blurted out, a thought crossing his mind suddenly, he doesn't exactly recall where they were supposed to be going to once they landed here, so for now in the meantime, he just was gonna follow the cro- oh, oh he's been left behind. Well time to take a look around then, yaaaaay? Jack just began to wander through trying to find his way towards wherever the majority of the people have gone to.

Rolling her bag off the airbus slowly, Hansi felt someone bump into her, causing her to trip over her bag and fall. If she hadn't been surprised, she might have landed more gracefully, but all that happened was her managing to land on her butt instead of her face.

She turned to say something to whoever had bumped into her, but decided against it. She'd made enough enemies today. Besides, he was reading a book and she couldn't snap too much at a fellow bookworm.

"Hello Sapphire, Melania. I hope that we have a long beautiful friendship. Maybe we'll be on the same team!"

She stoops and picks up her bag, along with one of Mel's.

"By the way, be careful what ever you do. Trouble is brewing here in Remnant." Then she walked away.

"Yeah, like, I mean, nothing's broken, and my ankles aren't twisted, so I guess you can consider me all good. So like, other than my pride at falling over my own bag? Yeah, I'm good, apology accepted or whatever." How did one talk to people without being super sarcastic?! She really needed on that.

"And sure, I'm a huge fan of multitasking, but I think walking and reading might be counterproductive to each other..." she laughed. "What book is soo good you can't pay attention to what's in front of you?" she asked, genuinely curious.

"Trust me I hope we will be... and if it's not too much... maybe a little more than just partners..." Mel said in a day dreamy way as Jade walked off

I hope Sapphire's not going to drop my bags...

Mel then walked off the Ship and into Beacon...

Irving smiled at the question about his book.

"Oh, it's called Cold Case. It's about this detective who has to stop this terrorist group from releasing an army of Grimm into a small mountain village. I don't know why they want to do that, I haven't read that far yet. But I try to read at least a book a day. When I'm not practicing for a match that is. So far I'm about halfway through this backpack."

"Oh man, I really wish I had that much time to read. Between training and choreography lessons and practice and all the other stuff a succesful dancer slash huntress is supposed to do I've been stuck on this one novel for like, a month now." She sighed. "Maybe when I find myself with a little free time I'll start reading again. You'll have to tell me if it's any good when you finish it." She reassembled the awkward rig she had for her luggage, her duffle bag hooked over the rolling handle and sitting atop the bag.

"Oh, I'm Hansi, by the way. Hansi Kharaba, to be exact or whatever. I'm from Mantle!"
She held out her hand elegantly, whether to be shaken or kissed (if he was a cheesy guy like that) up to him. She had heard somewhere that respectable ladies in Vale behaved like that, but she was kind of skeptical about the old etiquette tome her mother had gifted her.

Irving shook Hansi's hand, bowing slightly.

"Irving Cynbel. I enjoy reading, weight lifting, and boxing."

Irving grinned slightly.

"And between you and me, I've had more than my fair share of nights spent up late reading."

"Keep dreaming, Mel. I don't know about Jade, but the most you and me will be is friends." Sapphire said, straightforwardly. She didn't know if she came out as rude or not, but she added to her statement by saying, "Unless friends is too awkward for you?" She was still on edge after the small fight between Mel and Hansi, which explained her attitude. Sapphire watched Jade walk off.

'Is she just gonna go with Mel's stuff?' Sapphire thought to herself, looking at the bag in Jade's hand. She followed after Mel silently, thinking about the Jade person who seemed very familiar, yet she couldn't put a name on it. @Jade Dragon

"Friends, is better than whatever it s me and that other girl are..." told Mel.

But hey, with my luck I might end up on a team with people who all hate me...

"I wish I could stay up reading, but when you have dance practice at 7 AM and have to be in pique condition for it, it's not to easy."

She grabbed Oracle, bringing her into the conversation. "Omigosh, where are my manners! This is Oracle!" She smiled brightly at both of them, hoping desperately that she wasn't making the situation awkward. ((@MoltenLightning bby you're here, come (role)play with us!))

"What did you have before? A life with no friends and a school filled with people bullying you because of your species, just to come home every day to an adoptive family who sees you as a freak and forces you to fend for yourself?" After Sapphire finished her sentence, she realized how rude she must have been and immediately covered her mouth, her ears flattening against her head, "I-I'm sorry.. I just.. I'm in kind of a crappy mood right now." She was also upset with herself for spitting out a synopses of her life, instead of listening to what Mel was going to say.

Oracle had tried to talk, but lost her courage as she talked to others. So, instead, she followed Hansi around just in case she would get angry, then was abruptly brought into a conversation. She gulped as she saw the guy, then managed to whisper out a "Hi..." She was so utterly surprised by all the events happening, it had knocked her breathless. She reached out her hand, biting her lip as it started to shake. Stop, stop. Calm down, recover. Her posture became a little more confident, and she grasped the hand firmly, a newly awoken smile upon her face. "As you know, I'm Oracle. Glad to meet you, Irving." She stated, her voice brave again.

"Believe it or not... Yeah... Well minus the family hating me..." Mel said somberly.

Mel then told Sapphire her history, why she loved the faunus so much... She was adopted by a family of faunus and was bullied at school for living with 'A Pack of Animals'.

"So I apologize for my previous behavior with you... I just couldn't help myself... you reminded me so much of someone I loved..."

"Don't worry Mel! I'll just drop this off in the room" Calls Jade over her shoulder. "If you follow me, I'll show you where the room we're in tonight is, and maybe, since we may be on a team, talk about our skills? If we go ahead and do that, we will be more prepared tomorrow for when we are put on teams." Jade pauses. "Ya'll coming, or what?"

While waiting for Sapphire and Mel, Jade begins to think.

'Sapphire...Sapphire.... A brown haired wolf faunus...'

"Hey, Sapphire, you wouldn't happen to be from Vacuo would you?

Maroon and Russette

"And I never would've noticed if it weren't for you!" Russ continuously pouted, having finally calmed down after the "groper incident". After slowing down, Maroon had reluctantly climbed off of her shoulders and walked like the others. He was only partially listening to his sister's concerns, mainly due to his annoyance at her stopping before they'd reached the amphitheater.

Honestly walking was beneath him, but he'd put up with it for the time being. Russette just kept droning on and on, and was honestly being more of a burden than a relief. Scanning the nearby surroundings and students Maroon searched for anything he could use to get some momentary relief.

"And maybe if we get enough speed off the mountain I can-!"

"Hey Russ!" Maro interrupted, to which the Faunus girl turned and tilted her head at him in sudden rapt attention "Did you know that they hand out free treats to the first five students who reach the inauguration?"

Her eyes ballooned at the thought "Really!?!"

After he nodded she turned to run when Maroon placed a hand upon her shoulder "What are you doing?!? Don't you know that running in school is prohibited!?!"

She gasped as the realization hit her and she turned worriedly towards the other students "But some are already in front of me!"

Maroon's face grew deathly serious "Then you know what must be done! "he yelled at her "Slow Jogging! Quickly!!!"

She nodded quickly before attempting slow jogging, which was mainly just her jumping forwards a foot each time.

Maroon watched in smug amusement as Russ tried desperately to go faster in the odd motion she was attempting, silently congratulating himself on finding some more silver lining to her presence.

Citrine and Amber

The flashes of light were beginning to be noticed by several students, who pointed them out to their pals before they too fell victim to the lights and grabbed at their eyes while blinking dark spots out of them.

One guy jostled his friend as he saw the flashes near them "Hey, don't those things kinda look a bit like-?"

He was instantly floored as one of them went off directly in front of his face and he was nearly blinded by them, he stumbled a bit blinking furiously before looking up as the dark spots receded. What he saw he could barely comprehend.

A living angel of golden hair stood before him, radiating positivity and confidence that filled his very soul the more he took in of her presence. He openly gawked as she turned and gestured to someone else behind her, but he hardly cared as a smaller girl stood next to the angel who began to speak. The words were lost on him as he stared, stupefied by the sheer elegance and beauty that was radiated by this individual.

"Now you see this? This is an awestruck look mimicked perfectly," Citrine stated as she gestured to the human statue who shamelessly gawked at her from the ground "caught at an angle with some good lighting, these looks can be framed perfectly, but only with a certain form of grace."

Amber stared at her with dull eyes, but nodded intensely at her words. Citrine nodded towards the boy, who hadn't moved since seeing her, and Amber backed off for a moment. Citrine stood perfectly still for a moment and checked her hair, doing anything but look at the boy on the ground. Finally she saw the telltale flash of light out of the corner of her sight and immediately walked over to Amber, who was crouched beside the frozen boy.

Citrine knelt down and took a glance at the picture, immediately noticing the glare Amber had used shadowed the majority of the boy's face.

Biting down her grimace, she patted Amber on the back "Well, your framing is simply divine Amber!" She said as Amber took the time to look away for a moment.

"Oh come now!" Citrine said as she pulled Amber to her feet "Lets go find you another shot!"

Amber just slowly nodded before the two donned their cameras and went back to randomly mobbing the walking students with their cameras in arrays of blinding light.

Behind the crowd, the boy still sat there, rooted to the ground as if his very soul had been stripped from his body.

The Amphitheater...

Those who assembled there already talked casually as they waited for the Professor's speech. Many students had already assembled into their groups, chatting quickly with one another. as they began waiting in anticipation for the mandatory inauguration for the new students to begin.
