Answering The Call
-
It had been a week since the students had hopefully settled into the school. Many had begun their curriculum while others were still learning as much as they could about the other. Vaskoliir are like that, tending to be fascinated by other people's gifts or interest. That orange Oni was still roaming the school gawking at every possible shiny thing while trying to eat everything. Zerath had to task a special orc guard just to make sure she didn't break anything important. However there was still the matter of teaching the students how to control their gifts.
Zerath grabbed a leather bound book that contained the names and gifts of every Vaskoliir in the school. He skimmed through most of them until he found the one with possibly the most control. A Maleficarum, named Seiren Valneir. His family was a clan of powerful Ice sorcerers, and he had inherited their power. Luckily Zerath had just received a new shipment of goods, and he thought one in particular would be of interest to Seiren.
"Messenger!" Zerath yelled affirmatively. A young man came running in, holding a knapsack of letters on his back.
"Y-Yes Master Zerath?" He answered shakily.
"Please summon Mister Seiren Valneir to my office immediately," Zerath said pausing to grab another scroll from his desk. "And give this to Collector Ramirov. Don't open it just give it to him. Understand?"
"Yes sir!" The messenger answered.
Headmaster Zerath relaxed, looking out at the school from his window. Everything was at peace. He sipped on a cup of warm coffee as he waited patiently for his student to arrive.
