Zerath Yavernksy, The Sole Survivor

radan_the_rogue_by_robertogatto-d7zllth.png

Answering The Call
It had been a week since the students had hopefully settled into the school. Many had begun their curriculum while others were still learning as much as they could about the other. Vaskoliir are like that, tending to be fascinated by other people's gifts or interest. That orange Oni was still roaming the school gawking at every possible shiny thing while trying to eat everything. Zerath had to task a special orc guard just to make sure she didn't break anything important. However there was still the matter of teaching the students how to control their gifts.

Zerath grabbed a leather bound book that contained the names and gifts of every Vaskoliir in the school. He skimmed through most of them until he found the one with possibly the most control. A Maleficarum, named Seiren Valneir. His family was a clan of powerful Ice sorcerers, and he had inherited their power. Luckily Zerath had just received a new shipment of goods, and he thought one in particular would be of interest to Seiren.

"Messenger!" Zerath yelled affirmatively. A young man came running in, holding a knapsack of letters on his back.

"Y-Yes Master Zerath?" He answered shakily.

"Please summon Mister Seiren Valneir to my office immediately," Zerath said pausing to grab another scroll from his desk. "And give this to Collector Ramirov. Don't open it just give it to him. Understand?"

"Yes sir!" The messenger answered.

Headmaster Zerath relaxed, looking out at the school from his window. Everything was at peace. He sipped on a cup of warm coffee as he waited patiently for his student to arrive.

"I am tired of seeing my kin being slaughtered, excluded, ashamed... I will give them a chance to live life to the fullest if it's the last thing I do."

Seiren frowned as he stood up when lunch was officially over. He was planning on taking Wynter out to begin his training when a messenger arrived to speak to him. He was told that the headmaster wished to see him, though he had no idea why. However, getting to know the headmaster of this school would most likely benefit his family in the long run.

He looked at Wynter for a moment before raising one of his hands and creating a solid sphere of ice, much more pure than what Wynter had created before. It radiated with cold energy "Take this and wrap it in your own ice while I'm gone. I want it to be at least as big as your head when I return" his energy was far more tempered than Wynter's. Even wrapped in ice, he should be able to feel his energy seeping through. This would give him an idea of how thick Wynter's ice magic was "I'm going to speak to the headmaster, I do not know how long this will take, so you would do well to rejoin your friends instead of waiting for me" the ice he was giving Wynter wouldn't melt so he had no worry about that.

Handing the ice sphere to Wynter, he turned and headed down the hallway. The messenger from before had given him proper directions and Seiren wasn't one to forget them. He assumed he was being called because of his Maleficarum status. It wouldn't be surprising, any one of the Maleficarum families were considered nobility for their extreme control over their element. Even fighting against their opposite would go better than your average sorcerer.

Seiren gave a small sigh as he stepped up to the headmaster's room and promptly knocked on the door, reigning in his natural cold energy.

@JayKuro @Onyx Energy

Wynter looked over the ice sphere that had been given to him as Serein left. "Making it as big as my head?" He said tossing it in the air a few times before holding in both his hands as he began to release some of his ice magic slowly making the sphere got bigger. He looked around the room eyes wandering from person to person curiosity until he saw Srion playing with fire. 'I did t know she had fire magic.' He thought as the sphere of ice gradually got bigger and bigger, although it was still very small and he could easily hold it in one hand without a problem. 'As big as my head? This is definetly going to be an interesting experience.' He thought smiling a bit as he tried to make the ice a bit thicker because he thought it might be more of a challenge.

@Seraph Darkfire @Srion Receno

Kuno watched Annabelle leave him, and he sighed with depression within it. 'I always feel like I scare people away... Man I am awkward...' Kuno thought to himself as he stood up sluggishly, and he began walking out to the door slouching. Kuno reached for the door knob with out of any effort, and walked out to go to the library since he really loved to read and learn. He began to make his way to the library, and he began to think about why he was really given a letter to come to this school. 'Why was I really invited to this school? I'm just a teenager who was born into the mafia, and killed a bunch of people. I really shouldn't be allowed to come this school, I should've been left in the forest where I belong. Man... I thought I was going to live in that forever...' Kuno thought to himself as he looked at the sky, with a bright smile on his face.

'Although I am very happy I was able to come to this school. I am able to make Sindro happy.' Kuno thought to himself as he looked back down, and was happy about himself since he was able to make it into such a prestigious school all by himself.

After a few minutes, Kuno finally reached the fancy library, and he walked into the library with a smile on his face since he was able to learn more things.
'I'm ready to learn! Let's get to work!' Kuno told himself in his crazy head as he walked to the non-fiction area, and took a look around the genre of books. 'Let's take these books...' Kuno thought as he grabbed two books that talked about love, and he walked towards the history books. 'Let's see what other people thought of the mafia... Also, we will take this book here about monsters.' Kuno said in his head as he grabbed a book about the mafia, and about creatures that are alive in the our age. Kuno walked to a table that was in the corner, and he sat down to read.

(That good?)

Annabelle was happily laying on her side on the cool stone bench, with the shade covering her eyes from the sun. It's been quite a while and Anna was already almost finished with the fantasy book. Her mind was racing as the crew was fighting off a monstrous Kraken, which was tearing apart their ship that was supposedly too strong to be destroyed. Ooh why can't books just go on forever? They are just sooo good! complained Anna in her own head, as she realized how close she was to finishing the novel.

She decided it was best for her to amble around the courtyard and eventually reach the library. At least it's only the first book in the series, but still... it's going to end at some point. UGH thought Anna, mourning the book early on. She perfectly balanced her parasol on her shoulder and started to walk around the school while reading the thick book.

By the time Anna reached the oak doors of the library she already has finished the book and was walking with it tucked under her arm while pondering about how the Kraken could be fended off with a bomb being fired at the mouth of the creature with a cannon. She tried not to think about it too much, that's what ruins the beauty of fantasy books. People think about them too much and realize how improbably it is and ruin the whole plot of the story.

Entering the dusty library, Annabelle took a deep breath of the smell of books and incense smoke from the shrine. Her ears flattened and tail drooped as the smell relaxed her senses into finding that Kuno was in the library too. Speed walking over to him, Anna was delighted to see her friend enjoying a thick book.

"Hey Kuno, I didn't know you liked to read books, what're you reading right now?" whispered Anna, knowing that they needed to be quiet in the library. While the librarian was rather helpful to those interested in reading, the towering dwarf sure can yell when there's ruckus in the area. It always makes Anna cringe at the disturbance in the silence.

@TheWhiteScarf

Kuno was intrigued by the amazing things that happened throughout the past years, but he was confused of how we have betrayed, broken, and destroyed deals by others. He then read into the factions, and gangs that have existed throughout the history. Some examples the gangs that existed throughout the history were the Mafia, The Whyos, and The Daybreak Boys. 'Wow. There was a lot more gangs then Mafia, and our rival gang... I never knew that there was more than two gangs..' Kuno thought to himself as he smiled, and really focused on reading the books of gangs and factions. He read about the many crimes that these gangs did, but he was confused about how the book talked about the mafia, since he was in the mafia.

'What?! Some of these stuff aren't even right about how the Mafia truly was!' Kuno thought as he surprised about what this was talking about, and Kuno was a bit offended of how this book said of what the Mafia was. Kuno heard the doors of the library open, and Kuno saw the girl he saw from dinner enter the library. 'Oh... It's the girl I saw during dinner... Seems like she likes books... Looks like she is approaching.' Kuno thought to himself as he awaited for Annabelle to approach him, and Kuno began to smile as Annabelle approach him. "Oh yes I do love reading. It helps me learn about humanity, and I just love to read. Oh I'm reading about the many gangs, and factions that have existed. Although, I am very mad of how they portrayed the mafia." Kuno whispered with a smile as he looked at the librarian, and Kuno smiled to him as well. "So what are you reading Annabelle? Cause I can see that you have a book to your side." Kuno whispered politely as he tried to look at what book Annabelle was reading.

Zerath Yavernksy, The Sole Survivor

A Special Gift
Zerath heard a knocking on his door, presumably Seiren. He happened to be eating a small cake and had crumbs on his shirt. There's no way he can be seen like this! Using a burlap rag he brushed off all of the crumbs, and then promptly threw it behind a statue. Once Zerath finally got to opening the door, he saw Seiren simply standing there looking as cold and icy as he normally did.

"Mister Valneir, ah come in please." Zerath said with a welcoming gesture. Seiren walked in, still looking very cold. "It's a warm day out..." He paused, realizing that Seiren wouldn't like that joke.

"Well let me get to the point. We have atleast a hundred students here at the Academy but you... You seem to show more control. It seems the power of the Maleficarum flows through your veins. While I could simply put you in advanced placement classes I feel I have some things that may interest you." Zerath said grabbing a trunk of miscellaneous stuff. He rummaged through it trying to find what he needed. 'Old Book, shiny sword, my dagger, oh there's that picture! Wait I don't need it. Damn where is that book!?' Zerath thought as he started throwing everything out sending random items flying everywhere. Finally a pristine book marked with the Seal of the Magic Emporium fell out, clumsily landing on the floor. 'There it is!' He picked it up, brushing off the dirt revealing a title written in Silver lettering: A Glacial Poem, By Archmage Cenilus Zander.

"This should help with your studies! It's from the Magic Emporium, top grade Ice Magic literature, spells, incantations, glyphs, runes you name it, and it's here! I ordered it for the library but I figured you could use it. Oh and there is something else..." He said returning to his desk to grab a tiny jewelry box. "This took a lot of favors, and even more riddles... Damn that's cold." Zerath cursed, trying his very best to hold onto the box. With one finger he opened the box revealing something small yet very powerful.

"The Heart of Zut'Hein, from Dara'Okarthel. This is a
very special gift from the ice dragons, I don't know much about it other than its very powerful. Hell I can barely hold it, but I am very sure you can. Take it! Tell me what you think!

"I am tired of seeing my kin being slaughtered, excluded, ashamed... I will give them a chance to live life to the fullest if it's the last thing I do."

When Seiren entered the office, his first impression of the Headmaster was that he was a bit clownish. However, if he was the Headmaster of this school then he was probably quite powerful. In Seiren's eyes, if someone was decently powerful then they could act however they wanted. He raised an eyebrow when the book was revealed. It was strange that a book of poems would aid him, but when it was revealed that it was a book of Ice Magic, Seiren became interested.

Maleficarum generally practiced close range magic. They weren't martial artists but still had tough physical bodies. Their close range combat style used this to their benefits. Because of this, they actually lacked long range magic. This book would be useful, especially if it had glyphs and runes. He could begin to practice Inscription Magic to strengthen his own Ice Magic.

But the book paled in comparison to the Heart of Zut'Hein, the amount of Yin energy that flowed from the necklace was frightening and absolutely beautiful. Revolving his own energy through his body, he reached forward and took the necklace, grabbing the gem directly. His normally expressionless face was split with a wild grin as the cold pierced his flesh like tiny needles. Even with his control over ice, he could feel it's freezing power. Had he been even a fraction weaker than he was, directly touching this gem would have destroyed not only his hand, but his entire arm. Even his body wouldn't have been able to withstand the cold for long. He was mildly impressed with the Headmaster's strength. He'd been able to be in close proximity to the necklace.

"It is certainly an impressive treasure" he said setting the necklace back into the box "It will take me some time to control it's cold energy, it'd be safer for all that it remain in it's box for a small time" he looked at the Headmaster, his eyes tightening slightly "To gather this must have required no small effort, yet you are giving it to me, there must be something you want in return" Seiren didn't simply take things at face value. He firmly believed that this man wanted something from him. If the request wasn't too extravagant, Seiren was willing to accept. This gem was certainly something Seiren wanted.

The book was only second to this gem. While the book would increase his fighting power, the gem would improve his cultivation and even strengthen his body further than it already was.

The School Collector

_request__maskman_by_maomao_niu-da3imra.jpg

More Bloody Work...
As Sebastian was trying his very best not to stare at the girl, Leilianne, a messenger came rushing down the stairs tripping down the last step landing hard on the stone floor. ' That must've hurt ' he thought. The man stood up, cupping his left arm against his ribs. He looked 'At him, then at the girl, then back at him. He clearly knew he was undercover and didn't want to blow his cover, lest he wanted Nightmares to plague him for a month.

"Excuse me sir? Can you deliver this to Collector Ramirov?" He asked, holding the scroll out. Leilianne perked at the mention of his name, surely he had to get rid of her before he could go on his duties. ' More people already, wonderful...'

"Sure, If I can find him that is. He might be upstairs, sometimes he forgets something..." Sebastian said, quietly conjuring an illusion of him walking up the stairs. Leilianne followed him, still demanding answers. "Works everytime..." Before she could come back, Sebastian locked his door, grabbing his mask and staff once again, kneeling down in prayer.

"Valezeil, I ask that you smile upon me and grant me the strength for the tasks at hand."

In response to his words, the staff began to glow as white Angelic runes enveloped it. Sebastian grabbed a small healing tonic, and applied it to his skin so that it could hopefully heal; found an older suit of Lamellar armor and equipped it. This armor was far heavier than his other suit, so it should provide more protection if he was attacked. Finally he grabbed his mask, a simple silver plated ceramic mask fashioned in the shape of his face.

"By unknown power my identity can't be revealed, and if truth is broken then these lips..." Sebastian paused to place the mask on his face. "Are sealed." There was power in his words, an unknown word magic that made the air quiver around him. Such power could only belong to those driven by a purpose higher than his own. Sebastian grabbed his staff and marched out back into the courtyard. He was about to leave when he forgot one very important thing... His jacket. It was late fall and it wasn't going to get any warmer! Using the word magic he has used many times before, he located Annie, who was speaking with the other moon elf he collected, what her name? Ah yes... Avari. He quickly marched to her location, and got a glimpse of what they were talking about.

"How about you? What do you do for fun?"

"Me? Oh I just love collecting students. Some are nice and politely fold my jacket. Thanks for that, the last time I gave that to someone they ripped it." Sebastian groaned, grabbing his jacket and pointing at a specific rip on the left arm. "If you still need clean clothes, head to the girl dorms, there should be a clean uniform waiting. Thanks again." Just like that he quickly marched away off to his next destination. He dramatically threw on his jacket in one fluid WHOOSH of blue cloth, but just as he was about to teleport he saw Leilianne trying to find his illusion self. Once she saw him, he smiled under the mask waving his arms in a childish taunt.

"Goodbye trouble maker! Brelnor Wuldianyr!" A 5th teleport in one day was enough to make Sebastian collapse. "Damn. Looks like I am walking to my first target." He opened the scroll and the first name was that of a volunteer, who apparently wrote his own name. "Lawrence James Envorou the Third. Damn that's a mouthful! Let's see... It says here he is a nobleman who as of a few days ago is attending a Joust. A Joust? At this time of year? Damn... Well time to start walking." Sebastian muttered to himself. It was common for him to do so since his job was a lonely one.

Sebastian had walked for hours... His feet began to ache from all the walking, but after a day of walking he saw a jousting field in sight. According to his notes, Sir Jamie long name should be wearing a suit of blue armor, holding a banner of the Yellow Falcon. Before he could even find him however, he had to get into the field without being killed, or atleast lectured by some balding old posh guy. Then he had a splendid idea, why not enter the tournament? With his power of illusion he could make himself appear and sound like anyone, plus he could use his magic to cheat.

"Illusio Chivalnatus Zien..." Sebastian whispered. Immediately after, he took the shape and appearance of a knight of the Second Estate. Apparently this figure was famous for being successful in many bouts. As the 'Knight' approached a registry desk, the clerk straightened his posture and automatically closed his book.

"Milord, shouldn't you already be on the field? They are waiting for you now, come there is no time to waste!"

Well that's convenient. All he had to do was show up and he was in the tournament... Wait... That meant he had to ride a horse, carry a huge Lance, and point it at someone... Crap!!! The clerk had led the 'Knight' directly to the jousting field, where his opponent Jamie was waiting. The clerk grabbed the reins of a giant warhorse, and gently pulled him in front of Sebastian. 'Damn if I look at this thing wrong it'll kill me!' he nervously whimpered.

"Your horse and Lance, sir." 'Welp, this is it. Too late to come up with plan B' Sebastian the Knight clumsily mounted the giant horse mountain beast thing, grabbing and almost dropping the Lance they gave him. 'F.... That thing is heavy!' The first bugle sounded, and the horse brayed. Sebastian did his best to hold the Lance and stay on the horse, but before he could get a solid grip the second bugle sounded, and they were off!

Jamie had expertly aimed his Lance at Sebastian while he barely was able to lower it. Their horses charged at one another on opposite sides of some wooden post. If Sebastian couldn't think of something now he was doomed, but he did have something up his sleeve... However, This knight Lawrence had an aim that was too steady, too perfect. Even with his thickened lamellar a solid hit to his chest would hurt, worse a hit to the head could damage or even break his mask. Sebastian could use magic, but it would be bad if Lawrence was injured, especially since he was a volunteer. It was at this point that Sebastian decided to take a fall... Literally! Sebastian quickly dismounted and dispelled his illusion, rolling back up to his feet far away from that evil Lance... Murmurs of shock and disgust rolled over the crowd, and Sebastian pulled out his scroll alongside his Staff.

"Stay your weapons or whatever term you noblemen use! I'm here by order of General Zerath Yavernsky! Lawrence James Envorou the Third has volunteered for service under an elite commando division. If anyone dare try and stop me you'll lose a hand. If anyone dare try and fight me, it will be considered an act of war against Joten and I'll have free reign to react anyway I please!" He then stepped towards the heavily armored knight.

"Take off your helmet please" he said.

"I... This is... a little unorthodox," Jamie did as he asked, showing that he was the volunteer. His ears were a tinge red, his blue eyes wide. Flitting glances to the disgruntled crowd made his expression obvious; he was embarrassed. Nonetheless, he inclined his head toward Sebastian in a show of respect.

"Alright come with me please... I'll give you a minute to get anything you need and say goodbye but that's it. Remember your a volunteer, but if you resist I will collect you."

"Yes,sir," he tarried not a moment and tread on to the knights' tents.

Sebastian waited outside the tournament grounds, and Sir Long Name soon arrived, still clad in blue steel. He had his weapons sheathed and his helmet off. Sebastian chuckled, amused by how persistent this man was.

"You do realize that we supply you with arms and armor at the school."

"Of course, sir," Sir Long Name placed a hand on his swords pommel. "But with all due respect, I think it is better to own what you use."

"Hmph, Come on I still have 3 people to grab." Sebastian muttered.

Thats correct... 3 more people. Sebastian would rather save his energy for the mass teleport, so they were walking to his next target. Next on his list was Yukie Nisewaru, a samurai flagged for collection. A red X beside her name told him that she was a dangerous target, mentally unstable or atleast very violent. According to his notes she should be training with another perhaps a sister. Unfortunately due to her reckless nature a teleport was necessary.

"Sazihan Yukie Nisewaru..." An image appeared of her practicing archery or atleast trying to practice archery. They were talking about stuff he could care less about. The archery was funny. Hell based on what he saw, she couldn't hit water if she fell out a boat in the ocean.. Holding a bow atleast. She had grabbed her sword and started slicing away at the target. Each slash hit its mark. There was no time to waste! "Brelnor... Yukie Nisewaru!!!" In a sickening rush of motion he and Jamie were at the archery grounds. The other girl noticed their arrival, but Yukie was still slashing away... 'I think I'll have a little fun...' Sebastian said with a pranksters grin crossing his face.

"Why you keep slashing me?" Said the illusion of a talking target dummy. Upon seeing the talking dummy. Still consumed by some form of frustration, the girl hadn't even realised that the dummy was talking, and instead drew back her sword and stabbed it dead center on the head, perhaps in some attempt to kill it. "Ouchie, why hurt me mean lady?" Said the dummy. At this point, Sebastian wasn't sure if he was gonna die laughing or by the blade of a samurai who might be angry at him. Meanwhile, the girl proceeded to rip her sword out of the dummy, and caught its head with her free hand, and with one violent tug, tore off the straw head. She flung it into the air, and bisected it with one swipe of her sword.

"Oh don't worry... It's just an illusion!" Sebastian yelled, stifling some laughter.

Yukie whirled around, directing her sword at the speaker, before she realised just what she was doing. Sanae, standing far behind, was smirking, fingering the feathers of the arrow in her hand as she watched the display. The younger girl gave a strangled sound, before hastily stuffing her sword back into its home.

"Yukie Nisewaru?" He asked, seeking confirmation.

"Y-yes?" Her eyes were wide enough that Sebastian honestly thought they were about to fall out from her face. This was a face that made him wish he had a camera crystal on him.

"I am Collector Ramirov, and I'm here to take you to a new school. Before you ask no you do not have a choice. You can come peacefully or I can smack you to next Monday while Sir Long Name here carries you to the school."

"H-huh? Oh, you mean, the RSA thing?" She looked ready to panic. Perhaps she wasn't as brave as the reports made her out to be. "S-sanaeeee! Is my hair alright? Gosh, I really do hope it is. Tch, I haven't even gotten ready yet." Turning to Sebastian, she put her hands on her hips, and made to chide him. "You guys really ought to drop a call or something, you know. Or do you guys not have cellphones on your side?"

"We are a bit old fashioned, prefering letters to dangerous phones. Sorry but rules are rules, and my rules tell me that I have to take you there one way or another. You really don't option me to use option B." Sebastian said. Yukie pouted, and pouted like a young somewhat spoiled little girl. Finally she gave in and agreed to follow him. 'Well that was easy.' Sebastian thought. With Crazy Blade and Sir Long Name in tow, next up was Altehya Tharos Karothirin... 'What is with these long confusing names?' Sebastian thought. Although it was a long name, thankfully it was a name he recognized. Thanks to his medicine 'Contacts' he knew that Altehya frequented the black markets of Hascoviir.

"Alright Lady and Sir Long Name! Our next stop is Hascoviir! I'll warn you however, Hascoviir is not the prettiest place." Sebastian warned as he figured out where North was using a Sun stone. True Hascoviir isn't the nicest city in Joten, it was an elven city that was captured by Joten during the last war. Since Alver was in a weakened state after the war, The Empire of the Sun couldn't support the border city so King Melnorix claimed it for Joten. Even with the support of the humans, Hascoviir remained a broken city for the most part. It became militarized but unfortunately it became a slum, a Haven for crime.

Sebastian gets his medicine from Hascoviir but that's another story... After he found North Sebastian led his two followers towards Hascoviir. Hours passed and eventually the moon rose over the sky. It was a waxing gibbous moon, meaning it was getting brighter. Approaching a mostly Sun Elven city during this time could mean a problem. Think of it as a bipolar effect, during daytime especially summer, the Alveric elves thrive and celebrate, but when the moon rises... There is going to be a fight typically. It's unknown to humans, but perhaps it was a gravity effect on their brains making them stupid.

When it was pitch black Nighttime, Jamie insisted that they stop and rest for the night. Due to his... Condition Sebastian is unable to sleep without heavy medication. So in the stead of sleep, Sebastian made what he called: Energy Drink. A disgusting combination of herbs, stimulants and alcohol mixed with our nutrition designed to substitute an ordinary 8 hour sleep. Yukie seemed enthusiastic at first, but when she tasted said drink, Sebastian thought her stomach would reverse itself. Still he got a chuckle out of it, and was able to 'eat' without taking off his mask. A double win!

Finally after 12 hours of travel Hascoviir was in sight, a crumbling city of once elegant arches and gold columns. It was sad seeing a once glorious city in a depressed state. Still he had to collect his target so they entered the city while keeping a very close eye on their pockets. Inside the city was little more than a slum, barely kept organized by corrupt guards. Then a thought crossed his mind... How the hell was he going to find Altehya if she was a criminal in this underworld? It would take a literal miracle from the divine to find her. Well that miracle came in the form of destruction coming out from a local inn. Sebastian signaled for his followers to be quiet as he tiptoed towards the source of the noise. He heard voices, particularly a man who couldn't speak very well. Presumably a cartel member. Sebastian looked out into the Inn and there was a woman, an elven woman being strangled with a rope.

""Do whatever you want with her. Kill her, sell her, I don't care! Just make her zsuffer for the crime she haz committed here tonight!", says the man as he bends down and rubs his throat. Sebastian can tolerate some things but choking a woman was not one of them! Memories of his younger sister flooded his mind, her being assaulted and choked by men while he was forced to watch. No woman deserved this, no matter who they are. That was the breaking point, a heavy fog filled the air, and a different Sebastian took presence. A darker Sebastian. The one... Known as the Eyes of Fear.

"They are hurting her... They deserve pain... Hurt them... Make them suffer Sebastian... Do it for me!" Said a familiar feminine voice. Sebastian charged out of his cover, conjuring frozen arcane into his staff. The guards and the man were shocked to see him coming out so... ferociously. If it weren't for his mask, Sebastian would be spitting fire at them. The first guard charged at him with a baton, and Sebastian easily took him down with a heavy swing that broke straight through the wooden shaft hitting the guards chest shattering some ribs. The second guard was more cautious standing behind a sword.

"That line of steel won't save you! Brelnor Shastyiaehr!" Sebastian yelled, shooting a rush of frigid air out from his staff, the guard quickly shivered and Sebastian struck him with a swift kick to the nether regions, disabling him. Without even looking, Sebastian used a small stream of fire to burn the rope off the girls neck; hearing her breathe was a huge relief. He saved her in time. Next was the man in charge, Sebastian created a powerful illusion making him appear far more ferocious than he already did. The man stumbled away, trying to escape him, but Sebastian had Arcane cuffs linked to the man's legs and arms. A sick murderous grin crossed his face and Sebastian conjured dark energy into his staff.

"Time to end this one yes. Time to see his eyes fade." Sebastian eerily taunted in a sing song voice. The man shuddered and started groveling for mercy. "Time to damp his light, Send him to the endless... Night!" Sebastian readied a lethal strike, but an unexpected voice stopped him.

"No! Collector, wait!" Jamie yelled, stopping Sebastian, breaking away the darkened part of him. Sebastian turned around and saw Jamie carrying the girl in his arms. She was unconscious but temporarily. "The man is defenseless! Don't sully your hands! Let the law take him."

"I don't need to kill him..." Sebastian said to himself, trying to calm down. "She is safe. Don't need to kill..." The magic around him dispelled and Sebastian's illusion disappeared. The man still shuddered, and sobbed uncontrollably. He gently kicked him so that hopefully he had learned his lesson. Sebastian walked back towards his group simply saying "We're leaving."

Later that night when they were far away from Hascoviir, Sebastian stopped to check on the girl. She wore a golden Sun Amulet on her neck, not something that any ordinary elf can get. Perhaps this was his target. Sebastian started a small campfire, and looked at Altehya preparing a spell.

"Sazihan Altehya Tharos Karothirin..." No image. No picture, she was right in front of him. Altehya regained consciousness and panicked when she saw him. Well he was wearing a scary mask, so thats to be expected. Jamie placed his hand on her shoulder, using some magic knight powers to soothe her. Meh, damn those knights.

""Altehya Karothirin, you have been chosen for a special place. Please don't run, I need my sleep." Sebastian hastily mumbled with a tired voice.

Altehya vigorously looked at each person and began to still her panicked breathing, with a little help from the knight's 'magic'. She probably realized that these beings were none of the men who tried to kill her. Through a committed stern face with slanted brows and eyes that pierced like daggers, Altehya's attempt to hide her true emotions had failed as her face grew with confusion and worry...and even relieved? She was unable to stand as her body showed that she could pass out with fatigue at any moment. And with a hoarse voice she spoke for the first time toward the masked Sebastian. "Wh-Who are you? Where are you taking me?!"

He lied down to fall asleep, casting a cuff on one of her ankles just to make sure she wouldn't run.

Altehya, surprised, reacted with fear and weakly attempted to take off the metal chain...and without success. The knight's magic that was casted on her earlier was more apparent now as her torso slanted to one side, causing the rest of her upper body to thump to the ground. The Sun Elf was sound asleep.

Maybe four hours later, Sebastian stirred the tired group awake and fed them a proper stew for breakfast. He didn't take any for himself, but he would rather have happy students with full bellies than tired grumpy kids who are hungry. His final target was Kurumi Fujisaki, a girl from the damn Orient Islands in the opposite damn side of Vian. It would take a whole damn week with those damn students slowing him down. Damn!

"Sazihan Kurumi Fujisaki." A rush of horrifying images flooded his head, almost as scary as his own demons. These dark entities surrounded a young girl, making Sebastian wonder if she was even human. 'She is like me... Possibly struggling with darkness. Even if I rush It will take atleast a week to reach her... And I don't have enough energy for a teleport. Damn!!!!!' "Well friends, we are going to Orient Islands, this will be a long trip. I'll see about renting horses."

Unfortunately there were no horses to rent in any of the cities they passed, so they were forced to march for hundreds of miles. Poor Yukie was not wearing proper travel shoes, and blisters were becoming a problem. Every 2 days, they stopped to rest but Sebastian was unable to sleep. Seeing those dark entities was enough to haunt any dream he would have. Existing off of energy drinks was starting to take its toll on Sebastian to the point where he was using his cane staff as a cane his feet were so tired. At the 7th day, They had arrived at the islands via a ferry, at a place called Tsuruga Harbor.

A land of gorgeous architecture and radiant sunrises. Sebastian entrusted Jamie with the others, allowing them to stay at a local inn. After all if this target was especially dangerous, he didn't want to endanger the students. Even though it was beautiful, Sebastian felt uneasy. As if Demons were constantly surrounding him. Not far away from the harbor was a guard post manned by a few elite guards. He saw who he thought was Kurumi, but something was off. She was nervous. Horrid screams coming from the town startled Sebastian, he turned around and saw a horde of shadowy figures attacking the town; what's worse was that he left the students there.

"Oh my..." Sebastian gasped. The screams only got louder, and soon shadowy monsters were surrounding everything, him, the city, the guards, everything. Sebastian used his fire to hold the monsters at bay, what should he do?! Save students, get girl, save students, get girl.... "To Khaoloras with this!" He decided that the students should come first. He had to do something he didn't want to do... Teleport.

"Brelnor... Sir Long Name!" He yelled, it sounded silly but he knew Jamie's face well enough to use his nickname to find him. Instantly he was moved to the students, who thankfully weren't in immediate danger. "Come on students with me! We gotta get Kurumi and get out of here before we die!" Sebastian screamed. He kicked down the door and summoned a ward in a 7 foot radius around him. If the students stepped out... They were doomed. "No matter what happens stay close to me... You hear that?! Stay close to me!" With an epic screaming charge, Sebastian ran out of the building with the students running close behind. Any shadow that got too close was incinerated by his ward. In what felt like forever, the group ran to the main entrance where Kurumi was fighting off the shadows with a rather awesome looking greenish Scythe. It was obvious that she was an expert at fighting these things which could work to his advantage.

"The battle stretched on, as Kurumi continued to defend the main entrance of the Tsuruga Harbor. She hoped that the town inhabitants and her colleagues were still alive. Another wave of Shadows soon appeared, and this time Kurumi slammed her weapon to the ground, creating a frontal cone of shockwave, knocking the Shadows down before she dispatched them.

Then..."

"Kurumi!!!" Sebastian yelled, the girl looked the masked man, somewhat confused and bewildered that a random man was running through the shadows. "I am here to take you to a place that isn't here! You don't have much choice, so I'd appreciate it if we left now!!! She somewhat ignored him, still heavily focused on the monsters attacking the town.

"What the hell you're talking about masked guy?! I was tasked to defend this harbor! And why don't you get the hell out of here now!" She shouted at the top of her voice, before slamming her scythe to the ground, knocking off another horde of Shadows.

Well damn... Normally he would collect her anyways, but this town would be destroyed if she left now. Hell these people had no chance without help... Sebastian knew what he could do... But on this scale it was incredibly risky. These shadows would dissipate in light, and there was one thing he had up his sleeve that could save the town, for now atleast. He fell to his knees, holding his staff firmly in his hands, and prayed.

"By light we were born and to the light we return. No matter what happens my face can't be revealed, and if truth is shown these lips are sealed... Valezeil... Please dear friend and mentor. I need your help." He began to sob. "Don't let these innocent people be killed... Give them the chance to live in love and light. Please friend... Grant me the power to defeat this darkness! Please!" he sobbed uncontrollably, tears flowing out the holes of his mask. This was a state where he was most vulnerable, most humble... Nothing else mattered right now just saving the town. In response to his prayer his staff glew white as Angelic runes appeared all around it. Sebastian began to hear a voice, a gentle loving ring of a voice. It was her... Valezeil... She had answered his prayer!

"Give them life Xelon, use my power to defeat this darkness!" Sebastian felt his body surge with energy, holding the staff high in the air, and with the power of an angel at his side, Sebastian stepped forward Infront of Kurumi, standing alone against the horde of shadows.

"By the Gods, get out of there or you are going to die!!!" Kurumi yelled. Sebastian smiled lightly after hearing that word: Die.

"We all die one day Kurumi, but I'm here to make sure we live!!! Brelnor!!!" All the energy in his body, even some from his soul was being put into the staff, making it glow brighter than the sun. 'Please let this work...' "Valezeil......." A white flame formed at the Dragons head, as if it came alive.

At this moment, Kurumi noticed a pair of large Shadows heading their way. After attracting their attention and distracting them away from the masked sorcerer, the pink haired girl began battling with them. She managed to dispatch one as her scythe cleanly cut through one of burly Shadows. However, the other seized the moment of opportunity and punched Kurumi with all of its might.

"Arghhhh~!"She groaned mid air, before tumbled on the ground like a ragdoll discarded by an angry toddler. While the large Shadow is heading towards Sebastian, Kurumi was unfortunately knocked unconscious, unable to stop its lumbering advance. However...

"FEIAREX!!!" Sebastian screamed at the top of his lungs. Blinding white flame began to envelop the entire town destroying all dark beings, but leaving all the pure souls untouched. In fact to the others around him, it wasn't a flame, but a warm loving embrace of heavenly light. For a full minute the flames purified the town of all the dark beings, until they dissipated leaving the town unscathed, except for the damage previously caused by the Shadows. 'It worked... It really worked... Holy damn am I alive? If I am thinking maybe.'

Mouth agape, Jamie's eyes were utterly fixated on the man that just saved the village. As the Collector struggled to his feet, however, Jamie came to his senses. Patting Sebastian's shoulder with a reassuring hand as he passed by, Jamie said, "No matter, Collector Sebastian. I'll take care of it."

He crossed the distance hastily and, kneeling, gathered Kurumi's crumpled form in his arms. Kurumi stirred on his return, and for an exhausted Collector, that was enough. Sebastian slowly turned to Kurumi, pulling out the scroll, his body shaking.

"Kurumi Fujisaki... I hereby collect you into Ris'Saliance Aior. Brelnor... Zi en... Da ra..." With a rush of light the 5 of them were teleported to the school courtyard. It was still night here... And his job was done. "Food that way... Girls beds that way... Boy beds that way..." Sebastian said belligerently coughing up blood, while still making sure to point out where everything was. "Guards escort you... I'm going to probably die now..." He groaned as he slumped to his chambers in the lower levels, too tired to think anymore. 'Finally... They are here... I need a vacation........'

Zerath Yavernksy, The Sole Survivor

radan_the_rogue_by_robertogatto-d7zllth.png

A Special Gift
'What do I want In return? I didn't even think about that I just thought he was going to happily take my gift and leave! Damn what do I do...' Zerath thought, with an awkward smile and a cold sweat. Students are becoming a lot smarter nowadays. Atleast some are, those who pay attention. It was extremely embarrassing that he didn't have a plan for a possible 'What do you want in return?' question, especially since Zerath is the Headmaster of a Vaskoliir Academy. 'Come on man, he's a student who has asked a question, all I need to do is give him an answer!'

Little did he realize the box were making his hands numb, in a dramatic rush of movement, Zerath grabbed his old dagger and balanced the box on the blade; with surprising skill. His blade was forged of Silvethiin so he didn't worry about it breaking any time soon. Zerath stroked his stubble beard, thinking of some possibilities. Then it struck him, the perfect person who can train them!

"In return for this gift, you must train with Horingmar Oruguun!" Zerath yelled unnecessarily loud. It was perfect, with Horingmars armor Seiren could practice at full strength without harming him. Not like he could, Horingmar might as well be a giant piece of solid Iron. "I'll make arrangements immediately! And uh please take this before the cold reaches my hand again" Zerath said, motioning for Seiren to take the box.

Yeah it is short and somewhat rushed, but I believe I said what needed to be said while still creating an awkward atmosphere.

:) Oh and Horingmar wears Black Boklite armor, it can absorb ANY magical energy.
"I am tired of seeing my kin being slaughtered, excluded, ashamed... I will give them a chance to live life to the fullest if it's the last thing I do."

Seiren looked thoughtful as he tried to remember who Horingmar was. The name sounded familiar, and then it clicked 'The Orc' he thought. He remembered him from when he first entered the school. He'd certainly announced himself loudly to a few other students. He nodded "Very well, I will train with this Horingmar" he considered bringing Wynter as well. He needed to know what the boy could do in combat as well.

He reached forward and picked up both the box and the book. The cold energy seeped through the box, but it was far more manageable than touching the necklace itself. He'd certainly enjoy taking a look at the book while absorbing the necklace's energy.

Giving the Headmaster a slight, polite bow, he turned and headed out of the office. First, he needed to find an area to sit and meditate. The gem on the necklace needed to be attuned to his own energy should he wish to absorb it's energy. If not, the conflicting energy could possibly damage his meridians.

Dove walked out of the dormitories into a sunny day, wearing loose cloth trousers and tunic. She had managed to get a single room, and had spent hours grooming her wings between classes this week. Her wings were cleaner than they had been for a long time, but she had had only managed short place to place flights. The air here was pure, but likely due to the magical protections around it the wind was much more still than it should have been at this altitude. Staying grounded had been driving her mad, but she had also been kept busy by her academic classes. The teachers said she was progressing extremely well, but up to that point she had been taught little of such things. She had gotten help with her clothes from the nurse. Explaining her odd physicality had been difficult until nurse Reyleth had just given up and magically inspected her. Then she had to go throw up a bit, but when Reyleth returned she found Annie some light dresses, and made sure that her dietary issues would be handled. Now she had finally made time to fly, and she wanted to revel in it. She walked away from the dorms and then broke into a sprint. She leapt into the air taking off, and flying up into the sky. She soared over the school, enjoying the wind running over her wings. Content to not return to the ground for a while.

(I might bring her into something outside, or if someone would like they can have their characters shout at her and have her descend. Or this might just be my last post this section :P )

@Cheryl
Annabelle was pleased to see her friend reading a non-fiction book, even if it is about the Mafia. Frowning a bit that Kuno isn't too happy with the book he's reading at the moment, she laid the thick novel on the table and pushed it closer to Kuno, to make sure he could see the title easily. "Well I just finished this book, and I love it! It's about a crew that sail the seas and beat up monsters, I highly recommend it to you Kuno. You should read it after having you've finished that one." obsessed Anna, shutting her mouth before she starts to talk about the ending.

I wonder why Kuno is so mad at just a book saying what it thinks about the Mafia, it's just someone's thoughts and opinion on them. she thought as she peered over to look at Kuno's book. It talked about the history of the fights between the Mafia and more groups that Annabelle didn't know existed. She didn't particularly care for non-fiction books, they're just too boring for her. But this one seemed sort of intriguing since it was talking about gangs and criminal activities, and she's never really dived into the history of that stuff. "Why're you so mad at what the book's saying about the Mafia? What's so wrong about it?"

Srion didnt really know what to do for that day, she had come out of her room in shorts and her normal top that showed her stomach and walked around the school. she had no idea were anyone was so she just made her way around then up to the top of the school some how. she sat there and closed her eyes feeling the warmth of the sun wash over her and sighed. this was nice but after a moment she became a bit bored. she tucked her long blond hair behind her ear and looked at her hand and started to manipulate the suns light. it wasnt much not wanting to blind anyone on the ground but not really thinking of anything in the sky. she would make it flash slightly now and then, before making it into little animals and random creatures. she smiled slightly as she started to make it turn into the people she had met during her time here. she did fell a little lonely, but that was alright. she was use to it anyway.

I will read this after my books! Thank you Annabelle!" Kuno whispered to Annabelle as he kept reading his book with sad and enraged expression, since the book didn't really portray the Mafia the way is truly was and he knew how it really felt to be in the Mafia. Kuno looked at Annabelle with a sigh, knowing that he was going to reveal another secret that he wanted to hide from people that he met. "Well coming from a kid that was born in the Mafia I should know how battles were fought, and such. This book says all the wrongs things, and it kinda of sucks how they fail to understand how it is to be in the Mafia. Also, yes I am part of the Mafia but I have no contact with them anymore." Kuno whispered to Annabelle really quietly as he kept on reading his book, and he kept his frown on his face while reading his book.

Warmonger of Oruguun

He Throws a Party?
Horingmar had spoken with Sebastian after his most recent mission, seeing the schools most powerful sorcerer so... weak had made Horingmar cringe. First a targeted attack, and now he is in critical condition? Even great warriors must fall but The Collector was far too young for that fall. Although Horingmar was reluctant to have Sebastian deliver his report, Sebastian insisted that he did so personally. The two Titans walked down the hall together, Sebastian relied heavily on his staff just to stay upright. Of course Horingmar could carry him. In fact he almost did carry Sebastian up the long spiral of stairs that led up to Zerath's office. It was an odd rhythm, Clack step step, Clack step step. A Clack for the staff, and two steps just to climb a stair; Sebastian's movements were weak, ghastly weak. Seeing him weakened isn't uncommon, but seeing him on the brink of death frightened him. Horingmar stopped his weakened comrade with a gentle (use term loosely) tug.

"Stop Brelnor, you are hindered. I insist upon resting until Hs'Tiil returns to you." Horingmar warned. Sebastian looked up at him, tears in his glowing red eyes. "Tza'Grodgaan Brelnor... What ails you?"

"I'm fine Horingmar... The voices are just being louder than normal today. We can't wait I have to deliver my report."Sebastian answered, wiping the tears from his eyes. Sebastian pulled Horingmar's massive tree of an arm and continued up the stairs. Clack step step. Clack step step. Horingmar smiled, impressed by his comrades tenacity. 'You are truly worthy of Brelnor name Ramirov.' he thought. Sebastian fell down, his staff rolling down the stairs. Using Kolgriin, Horingmar caught the staff pulling it up to him; without Valezeil Sebastian looked even weaker, pathetic compared to his normal self. Horingmar approached Sebastian, aided him to his feet, and returned Valezeil to him. "Let me aid you rest of way, Brelnor." Horingmar insisted, now partially carrying the small sorcerer. Clack Clomp step step. Clack Clomp step step. Finally they had reached the office, almost ten long minutes later... It was very early morning around the time when Zerath has tea. They knocked on the door, receiving an invitation to enter immediately after. As expected, Zerath was sipping on a cup of hot tea. He perked up when he saw them, almost turning chipper.

"Ah Horingmar, Sebastian! Come in, Im having Gul'Thrak green! It's delicious!" Zerath said. Sebastian removed his mask, showing his pale face dampening Zerath's mood instantly. Zerath dropped his tea, the porcelain cup shattering. "What happened? Were you attacked again? Please don't tell me it's..."

"Mana... Exhaustion... My last target... Got herself in quite the dillema. I had to use a holy flame, a lot of it... Zerath... I know you wanted to announce the tournament, but with... The last attack and our lack of knowledge of potential enemies..."

"We advise we not make students participate this year. Vaskoliir need time to prepare and with tournament so soon, they may not..."

"No. We can't cancel our entrance in the Tournament. King Melnorix is expecting us to appear. It's part of our agreement! I train the Vaskoliir, and we show that they are able to be part of society; that we are not monsters!" The air quickly grew dense, heavy, and cold, this was the true power of Zerath Yavernsky. It may not seem like much, but absorbing life energy never does seem like much until it is used to take it. Realizing what he was doing, Zerath quickly stopped himself, biting his lip drawing blood. "Forgive me... I lost control. Without the tournament... All our efforts will be for nothing." 'We have 6 months until the tournament. By then maybe they can stand a chance, but against the Praetorians? Damn... What should I do?'

"Zerath... If we must continue as we planned... Lie..."Sebastian answered.

"And what then? Kill students?! You were attacked Brelnor, we can't risk them being attacked. Some are children." Horingmar argued, making sure to not yell too much.

"For a man... who is forced to lie... every single day I still don't like it... If our students are going to make quota... Then lying is the best option, I suggest... A white lie..."

"If you weren't dying right now, I'd punch you to oblivion! Because Kal Shazuugri! I have honor, and you seem to have lost yours Brelnor Ramirov."

"Lost my honor? My job isn't the most honorable one, I'm lucky if I manage to get by unscathed after a mission while you get to stay comfortable at the school!"

"Oh stop it you two, you fight like a married couple. In the end I have to bear the responsibility for them. And that's why we are throwing a party!" Zerath cheered, just one minute of thinking and he manages to be cheerful once again. Both Horingmar and Sebastian were shocked, and temporarily forgot their aggression for each other. "Horingmar, you are in charge of informing students, maybe finding volunteers, and informing the teachers! Sebastian, you get to handle decorations! After you heal up a bit of course!" Zerath said with a smile. Sebastian's face twitched slightly, his expression both embarrassed and angry.

"You're kidding... I told you to lie, but a party... I can barely manage walking and you want me to decorate?" Sebastian asked, his tone withdrawn.

"I don't follow. Why celebrate when students in danger? I assume you have plan?" Horingmar asked, his tone more confused than anything.

"Don't you see? It's brilliant! We can raise morale while making an announcement for the tournament! Besides it'll be more of a frat party than a formal ball, that's for later. Havent you heard about a culture festival? Where students make decorations and do silly things for the public? Well we are doing that except the teachers are making everything. Students thus far have learned very basic curriculum. I intend to allow the students to finally choose their classes, except for those you collected, they still need their schedules. The party will be in 3 days, what are you waiting for? Go!"

Horingmar and Sebastian slowly walked out of the office, now swamped by a numerous amount of tasks. Before anything else he had to inform teachers, and that wasn't going to be easy. While he himself was sometimes a teacher, there was atleast 10 teachers at the school, most of which Horingmar didn't know. Iishta Brelnor Zerath was indeed wise, and brilliant so maybe this pahr-tee would be some good for the students, especially the collected ones.

This is going to be our pre scene before scene 2, Scene 2 itself is almost done but I'm doing this so that there will be an easier transition. There is NO TIME LAPSE! This happens pretty much immediately after Sebastian brings up the 2nd group. In Scene 2 I will be holding an actual Class picking ceremony of sorts where you as players get to choose your main classes to suit your character. I'll also add random things that might seem fun for character depth, but won't affect the story. For your instructions, if you aren't socializing with other students you can notice the change in attitude of the teachers and other staff. If you see Horingmar or Sebastian feel free to ask them what's happening, they will tell you. Don't worry, Scene 2 will be up very soon.

Kurumi slowly opened her eyes, and stared at Jamie and the others with a puzzled expression, her eyes blinked profusely. She then gazed around the infirmary's environment around, which felt very foreign to her, as her expression slowly turned into panic. </span>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

<span style="color:#006600;">"Wait..." Kurumi spoke instinctively, before turning to Jamie and Yukie. "Where am I? Am I in Heaven?" </span>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

<span style="color:#006600;">In a crazed attempt to validate her sensations, Kurumi pinched her cheeks as hard as she could. She felt pain. Still feeling unconvinced, she forced herself to get up from the bed. She instantly regretted that as she felt intense pain from her body, letting out a painful grunt while holding her sides, forcing her to lie down on thebed once more.</span>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

<span style="color:#0000b3;">Two cots and a doctor's desk full of instruments, but no doctor. </span>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

<span style="color:#0000b3;">"They sleep a-times like you 'n' me, nothin' strange to it," Francisco scratched his stubble. "The lassie looks fine by my reckoning anyhow. Way I see it, why wake the good man?" </span>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

<span style="color:#0000b3;">"So you say while she writhes in pain on your academy's bed." Jamie shot a meaningful look at the guardsman. "If this is how you treat your students here, then I will have to raise word to Headmaster Zerath." </span>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

<span style="color:#0000b3;">"Now, now, no need to be threatenin' me, fish," Francisco grumbled. "Only didn't want no doctor holdin' anger toward me. Might look the other way when I'm hurtin', 's all." Even so, he raised his hands in surrender, exiting the room to find and wake their doctor. </span>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

<span style="color:#0000b3;">With that under way, Jamie turned his attention to the girl on the bed. Kurumi was her name, if he remembered right. He winced at her discomforted motion, and gestured at Yukie. Without Aiden around to ease the atmosphere, Jamie felt very out of his element in a room full of women. </span>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

<span style="color:#0000b3;">"Could you see to her?" Jamie asked. "I can wait outside; just let me know if you need anything."</span>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

<span style="color:#b35900;">Yukie looked as if she was hurt. An obvious charade. "Me? No, no, no. Didn't Basty tell YOU to be her knight in shining armor? I'm just the, ah, side character for this one." </span>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

<span style="color:#b35900;">A mischievous smile played on her lips, as she turned around and skipped towards the door. If Jamie were to pay some more attention, he would have heard her singing "L, isfor the way you look at me. O is for the only one I see..." before the door shut behind her.</span>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

<span style="color:#006600;">With the long haired girl cheerfully left the infirmary after mentioning about the noble blond being Kurumi's knight in shining armor... </span>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

<span style="color:#006600;">"Hey!" The pink haired girl called at Jamie with a stern tone, though it made herheld on her sides once more. "I would really appreciate it if you guys stop ignoringme and answer my questions!"</span>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

<span style="color:#0000b3;">Under any circumstance, a gentleman alone with a woman was a setup for scandal. That gossip had the power to ruin reputations, and a ruined reputation, unless one was very rich, set ablaze the good faith required for every kind of contract. The urge to drag Yukie back inside was compelling. But this was a man whose will had been sharpened by military training, beaten by the thousand bruises of the spar, and demeaned by the callous jeers of comrades. And yet to be alone with a woman set his calloused hands to trembling. </span>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

<span style="color:#0000b3;">"My apologies." Jamie stood over Kurumi, but found it very straining for his neck, so he soon thought the better of it and cautiously sat down on the edge of the bed. "I think my mind is out of sorts from all the travel. Er--what was it you aske-- Of all the...!" He snapped suddenly, interrupting himself. Jamie had finally tore his eyes from his hands and beheld Kurumi clutching her sides again. "Enough flopping about! Any fool knows an injury spreads with action. Lie back, speak softly!"</span>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

<span style="color:#006600;">Kurumi was startled by Jamie's responses, especially the way how he spoke to her. After letting out a noticeable sigh, she tried to relax herself. Portraying a defeated expression, she was trying to find a suitable response to the noble man who carried her. </span>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

<span style="color:#006600;">"I just..." Kurumi spoke once more, after a moment of silence between them. "I just want to know what happened..." She asked in a softer tone, before facing Jamie again.</span>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

<span style="color:#0000b3;">He immediately felt sorry for having spoken so callously to a lady. The silence stretched a mile, it seemed, before she spoke again, and now he was determined not to look at her. Fixing his eyes ahead of him, Jamie scratched his chin and settled into his palm. </span>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

<span style="color:#0000b3;">"It all happened very quickly," he said finally. "The man with the mask, Collector Sebastian, cast a spell that bested every one of those monsters in your village. There was a bright light, I felt very warm, and the monsters were gone." Jamie cast a sidelong look her way. "Then he cast another spell and transported us, andhere we are, awaiting the good doctor to look your wounds over." </span>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

<span style="color:#0000b3;">It crossed his mind that he should apologize but though the words were on the tip of his tongue, Jamie couldn't will them take form. Instead, he twisted to face her again. "I had never heard of your village before arriving there, but I was filled with great trepidation to see it under attack. What was a woman doing on the battlefield alone? What sort of people do you serve thatthey would treat you so carelessly?"</span>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

<span style="color:#006600;">After the prestigious blond gently explained the situation that they were in, Kurumi's expression turned into a startled one. </span>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

<span style="color:#006600;">"Te..tele...teleported?!" She stammered. The pink haired girl began to reminisce her efforts in Tsuruga Harbor, the peculiar masked man that just jumped straight into the Shadows and knelt. She also remembered she diverted 2 large Shadows away from him too, up to the point where she got knocked out cold. </span>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

<span style="color:#006600;">"The Shadows... got defeated and the town was saved, eh?" Kurumi responded softly. "Thank the Gods..." However, her expression changed to slight frown as she stared the noble man. "I would answer your questions, but wouldn't it better that you should introduce yourself first and tell where are we now?" She continued on. "Not trying to be rude but... yeah. Etiquette. Since we just met and all."</span>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

<span style="color:#0000b3;">"Oh, certainly." Jamie moved to his feet, and, sweeping one foot back and bending forward as his fist closed over his chest, he announced himself. "I am called Lawrence James Envorou the third, first born son of the house of Envorou and knight of the Third Estate." He straightened. His hands fell to his sides. "You are in the infirmary of the Ris'Saliance Aior, an institute of learning for persons of supernatural ability." </span>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

<span style="color:#0000b3;">"I have only just arrived as well, so I am unfit to answer many of your questions. However, the doctor may do so at his behest, and when you are feeling better, I'm certain the headmaster will fill you in."</span>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

<span style="color:#006600;">Kurumi was thoroughly impressed with Jamie's noble introduction, but that did not last long as she eventually realized that she was no longer in Tsuruga Harbor, or possibly, in the Orient Islands. </span>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

<span style="color:#006600;">"Ris... what? I'm in an institute of learning for persons of supernatural ability?" The pink girl blinked at Jamie, being unable to pronounce the name of the institute that she was currently at. </span>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

<span style="color:#006600;">Once again, Kurumi was visibly shaken by the noble man's revelation, proving that she and the others actually got teleported away from the Orient Islands. She began to worry about her fellow colleagues in the SDF, her family and so on. Kurumi felt emotional, but fortunately her rational thoughts kicked in, knowingthat causing a fuss here is not going to improve the situation. </span>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

<span style="color:#006600;">"Oh well." She sighed at the end. "I'm Kurumi Fujisaki, hailing from the Orient Islands, as you may know." The pink haired introduced herself. "The place I was defending previously isn't my village, however. I was tasked to defend the harbor town while its inhabitants were evacuating." She continued. "I was born in a town named Nakano, which is several bridges away from the harbor town that I was plucked from." "As for why a woman like me doing on a battlefield alone..." Kurumi smirked in between her words, as if she was proud of her role. "I'm a soldier, conscripted by my country's military might. We're trying to defend our homeland from the malevolent beings known as Shadows." She then gestured on how... shadowy they are, before smiling again. "I was expecting to die today, and then I got... teleported into some academy."</span>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

<span style="color:#0000b3;">"A pleasure to meet you," he said quickly after she introduced herself.</span>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

<span style="color:#0000b3;">Not a slight hint of distaste was on her face as she explained her position. That alone was strange, but even stranger was that a smile crossed her face as she said she expected to die today. </span>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

<span style="color:#0000b3;">Utterly unfathomable. A nation that treated their women so callously had no future, nor respect for it. The derision passed his face in time, but she was sure to notice it. When at last he spoke, the words were picked with care. </span>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

<span style="color:#0000b3;">"Consider yourself blessed, then. Those that are plucked from death's jawstreasure life more truly."</span>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

<span style="color:#006600;">Kurumi's smile faded when she noticed Jamie's displeasure upon her brief history. After all, she was forced into the mess her homeland was in. She was supposed to be a scholar of sorts prior her conscription. </span>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

<span style="color:#006600;">"Yeah..." The pink haired girl chuckled at Jamie. "Thanks. But..." Then Kurumi suddenly stopped herself, shaking her head as she realizes that shewas about to say something that will drag down the atmosphere even more. Plus they just met merely minutes ago. </span>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

<span style="color:#006600;">"...Um, nevermind!" She awkwardly replied afterwards. "That doctor surely took its time...!" Then she coughed.</span>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

<span style="color:#0000b3;">"Yes..." He stared at the door as though willing for it to open. </span>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

<span style="color:#0000b3;">"Perhaps I had best find out what the matter is." Jamie turned open the door to bid Yukie take over inside, but upon poking his head into the hallway, he caught sight of Francisco and an upright man making their way towards him. </span>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

<span style="color:#0000b3;">Ah, this must be the good doctor, Jamie thought, and so it was. With a friendly bedside manner, the doctor easily took over the situation. Jamie took a step back, and, soon feeling out of place, he came forth to excuse himself.The young knight made sure to follow courtesy, and took the hand of each woman in turn, bidding them goodnight. Under the circumstances, he held some obligation to kiss the hand, but he bore the vague notion that in their eyes, such an act would be too forward.</span>

</p>

</div>

</div>

<p>

<span style="color:#b30000;">Lawrence James Envorou III</span>

</p>

<p>

<img alt="CoS5LBm.png" class="ipsImage" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/imageproxy/imageproxy.php?img=http://i.imgur.com/CoS5LBm.png&key=ee50491eaefbbf9afd84649125e86ed6bc327d2350347aef9541a374dd5a66d2" /></p>

<p>

So in due time, Jamie retraced his steps through the wide and arching halls of the Academy and found his way to the men's shared bedchambers. He exchanged words with the guard captain he met before, who in turn palmed Jamie a key and guided him to his room.

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

The halls were dim, and the inside entirely black when Jamie creaked open the door. Something stirred therein.

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

"Huh... You the new guy?" Groggily, a shadow shifted upward in the bed.

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

"Yes," Jamie nodded quickly. "I am Lawrence James Envor--"

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

"Aw, lemme sleep. Keep quiet and grab a bunk or something, will ya?" The figure snorted.

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

"...Of course," Jamie whispered.

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

Moving painstakingly slow on the balls of his feet, he crept to his bed on the upper bunk and was soon fast asleep.

SCENE TWO BEGINS

No fancy coding for this one.

Alright Scene 2 begins now! Instructions for players are simple. Post what suits your character best. The current setting is early fall weather about 2 weeks after the school starts, and 1 day after the rest period. It is morning, and there are various flyers posted everywhere that are announcing the date of the party in 3 days time (which may be real time or longer based on character activity), they are titled: "Student Pahr tee in three days" (written by Horingmar so it's poor grammar of course.) Horingmar is busy trying to help Sebastian with decorations as Sebastian is still wounded from his last job. Speaking of Sebastian, he is decorating the dining hall with crudely made Fall inspired decorations made by him and Horingmar. (If your character goes to the dining hall, feel free to help them or ask what's going on.)

This is where you can actually choose what you want to learn, be it simple academics, to high end battlefield strategies. Since this can extend to virtually everything, I'll name a few. Or a bunch.

Basic Magic Studies (Basic teaching of the 3 main magics), Specialized Magic Studies (focused on one subject), Magic for the Gifted (AP magic studies), Collector Program, (Collector training hosted by Sebastian) Diplomacy (Also Foreign Affairs, Languages, and Ambassador training), Philosophy (As is), History of Joten, History of Alver, History of Dara'Okarthel, Small weapons training (Daggers small swords etc...), Large weapons training (Everything heavy), Exotic Weapons training (Also Advanced martial arts) Dueling/Fencing (1 V 1 fighting styles), Boot Camp (Military training), Warmonger Training (Horingmar's class), Physical Conditioning, Mental Conditioning, Ambassador Program (you can travel to other countries etc), Martial arts, And finally the FellGuard Initiative. (Becoming an elite soldier for Vian)

The actual party will begin as soon as everyone has posted atleast once. I have it made :) The tournament announcement will happen after everyone has posted. If you are confused at all message me or tag me, and I'll straighten it out for you. This will be a long scene due to the party.

When Altehya entered the room to her individual dorm, she was overcome with emotion. In the back of the room was a single orange flame from a sconce that directed her eyes to something that could not be ignored. There it was. And there was Altehya. Her body began to slowly move toward the large flaunting object and, yet, she kept her gaze on it deathly still. Her right arm was now extended and her palm faced forward. She has stopped dead in her tracks. With a steady movement, her fingers caressed the velvet-smooth texture. It's luxurious red and gold spreads could easily invite anyone to drop to their knees and admire it. There sitting against the back wall was a large, plush bed. Six years...It has been six years?, thought the emotional she-elf. Since she was thirteen, Altehya has not once been able to experience the comfort and safety of a real bed. With her name being dangerously spread around that slum; the once uniformed city of Hascoviir, her rooms were always temporary in hopes of not being found. She would be lucky to find any makeshift structures that would allow her to sleep soundly through the night. And just by one weakly-demanded spell by a mysterious man in a mask, she was left to doze off on a cozy mattress in a warm, quiet, and softly-lit, sheltered room. With one leg and then the other, the Sun-Elf carried her weight onto the soft, enveloping cushion, with her neck at last supported by several fluffed pillows. And with her eyelids that were slowly fluttering down, it was as if Altehya was hearing voices from the memories of her past.

"Wouldn't you rather sleep in your nice new bed, little one?"

"No! I want to sleep in yours and Papa's bed forever"

"Look at me--hey, look at me my sweet...Mommy promises that I'll be there when you get scared"

"Even if the monsters were to take me away?"

"I'd never let them lay even one finger on you. They'd have to go through Mommy first..."

"Promise..?"

..."...Promi-".

With a loud gasp, Altehya jolts awake from her first deep sleep in years.

And just like every morning, the sun sits high in the sky, casting it's proud light.

Wynter was walking outside taking an early morning stroll. He saw a poster and read it, inside he squealed but outside he just shows a big goofy grin. He had been attending a few martial arts classes when he didn't have anything else to do. He had found that some of the people he went up against were black belts as well but most of them were beginners.

He wasn't disappointed in the slightest and actually found it quite fun to teach them a few things on how to improve their stance even if he was much smaller than them. "I wonder if there's anything I can help with! I might not be able to do much of the manual work but I'm sure there's something.' He thought as he looked up at the sky taking a deep breath of the crisp morning air.

He was wearing a simple pair of black shirts with a longs,evened dull gray shirt. He liked the nice breeze on his skin, he wasn't cold, not even chilly, In fact he himself was quite warm. However his skin was still ice cold to the touch. He sighed contently and kept walking not minding where his feet would take him, it seemed like he had quite a bit of time on his hands.

Kurumi Fujisaki

kfmthi_zps5u2mdfzz.png

[Ris'Saliance Aior / Lobby]

WIthin the large, prestigious lobby that leads to multiple classrooms nearby, Kurumi slightly stretched her neck as she headed towards the large bulletin board where students congregated and discussed with their friends on what subjects they should take. As for Kurumi, she was still angry with the fact that she got taken to this academy without her consent. In spite of that, she was quite impressed with the infirmary doctor who healed her injuries.

Upon her arrival at the wooden bulletin board, Kurumi began to read the list of subjects that she can take as a Collected student of the Academy. On the right hand side of the long winded list are the names of the instructors and tutors that are responsible for the subjects stated on the left.

Beside the list of subjects, there is another smaller, handwritten flyer. It was barely legible, for Kurumi that is.

"Student Pahr tee in three days."

There was a date written below the sentence, announcing the... pahr tee (which Kurumi autocorrected to party) will be held in 3 days time.

From there, she pondered before turning to Yukie, who standing behind her all this while.

"Nisewaru-sama," Kurumi greeted with a formal tone. "What subjects that would you like to take in your first term?"

The pink haired asked as politely as possible, before doing a slight bow. It was a big surprise that Yukie was actually her roommate, not to mention of the reveal of Yukie's family background.

Another week has passed, and Annabelle was loving every moment of it. Her favourite class at the moment was the dueling class, since it fitted her style of combat. The kitsune knew that she wasn't the best, and after every class she would be beaten by quite a few pupils. But still it was her best class as she learned something new every class, plus it gave her another excuse to keep her parasol with her.

I wonder where Wynter is, I want to know what he's up to. thought Anna as she navigated around the school to search for the elf. Even after the repeated times of mistaking Wynter for a girl, Annabelle would still see the feminine side of him and forget his gender. Hopefully within the next couple days she would get it stuck in her head that he's a boy, not a girl.

Giving up on trying to find the moon elf, Annabelle strolled over to the cafeteria as a meager hope that Wynter might be there or go there some time soon. There're too much space here! I can't find Wynter like this, he could be anywhere! I'll just go get myself some drink before my uhmm... Ambassador program, yeah I think that's next. decided Anna as she went to her destination.

As she swished her way into the cafeteria, her beady eyes spotted many posters advertising a 'parh tee' that will be here in three days. While Annabelle considered if a pear tree was coming to Ris'Saliance or if an actual 'parh tee' was coming, Anna spotted crude paper that seemed to be shaped into leaves set up all over the walls. In her opinion, they looked more like star than a leaf but stars aren't orange and brown, plus there was some sort of resemblance to leaves.

As Annabelle pondered about the leaves, she noticed Sebastian and Horingmar putting up some more decorations around the cafeteria. Weaving her way between the oak tables and chairs, Anna made her way over to the adults. She stood behind them and observed what they were doing.

"Sebastian, Horingmar, what're you doing? Is this something to do with the pear tree coming in three days?" asked Annabelle, twirling her lime parasol on her shoulder. What's so special about this pear tree anyway? she thought as her ebony ears twitched.

Wynter was doing the unthinkable right now. Well, it wasn't unthinkable but to him it kind of was, although he had always wanted to try it. He smiled and began to climb the tree rapidly having done this part thousands of times.

He found a sturdy branch as well as a wide on and took a deep breath before he extended his arms above his head and kicked his feet out from under him attempting to do a handstand on the branch. He had heard stories of people who could literally do this for hours and he had always wanted to try it.

The first few seconds he actually had it, then his eyes caught someone and he fell out the tree, luckily landing on his feet, well one foot. 'That's Annabelle, I wonder what she's up to. Well she could at least dropped by to say hi.' Wynter said running in the last direction he had seen her head to, which ended up being the cafeteria. He entered it after she did and saw her asking Sebastian about something. 'The party, is she going to help the party?' He thought as he approached her hearing her say "pear tree."

"Uh actually Annabelle I do believe it's actually a party coming in three days. Can we help with anything?" He asked turning his gaze towards Sebastion as he asked the question.

The School Collector

_request__maskman_by_maomao_niu-da3imra.jpg

A Series of Amusing School Events
Sebastian felt lightheaded, both due to mana Exhaustion and Zerath's idiotic decision to hold a party. Wasn't the opening ceremony a party? It seems like no one listens to him at all anymore. What was more idiotic was Zerath forcing Sebastian to hold a Collector class... Think about it... A COLLECTOR Class... Who would honestly want to be a Collector? They have to take people from their homes and force them to some school in order to teach odd curriculum. So far there was no takers thank Melonax, but still if he had to teach students his secrets, life would become hell. What's worse is that Sebastian had to work with Horingmar in order to decorate... Have you seen an orc trying to decorate? Hideous paper fractals were being draped on walls, ugly green posters were being put up, an occasional foam skull dotted the tables... Seriously just one good illusion would be enough but Sebastian couldn't risk another spell until he healed.

"Horingmar... Please tell me why you are putting these hideous things up? This is a party not an execution." "Orcs decorate with enemies, since we have no enemies now fake stuff go up. Shame there is no execution, that make Pahr Tee more fun." Horingmar answered. His butchering of the word 'Party' was amusing, but still skulls were not going to cut it. "Let's put away the skulls and save them for Hallows eve. Right now I'm thinking Blues and Whites." Sebastian said as an illusion of the cafeteria in a decorated state appeared.

"Why you make decisions?!" Horingmar screamed. "Because I'm the one listed on the post. See? 'Sebastian Ramirov ' not 'Horingmar Oruguun' so I'm making the shots." "GRAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!! WHY AM I NOT MAKING DECISION? ME STRONGER THAN PUNY HUMAN!!!" Horingmar said as he spoke to an unknown entity that controlled his actions. "STUPID PAHR TEE!!!" He yelled, his words echoing through the school. How amusing, Horingmar yelling at something because of a party. This might be fun after all...

"Sebastian, Horingmar, what're you doing? Is this something to do with the pear tree coming in three days?" asked Annabelle, twirling her lime parasol on her shoulder. What's so special about this pear tree anyway? she thought as her ebony ears twitched.

Huh? Pear Tree? We are getting a pear tree? Hmmm maybe it's Horingmar's spelling, maybe on one of the flyers he wrote "Pear Tree" instead of "Pahr Tee", oh man that's funny! Sebastian snickered. Another odd thing was how... Casually Annabelle approached him, he did collect her after all... Shouldnt she hate him? 'Gah... Why does being a Collector have to be so unexpectedly confusing!' he thought.

"We aren't getting a pear tree, but I wouldn't mind a pear. Mmmm Pears and flaky biscuits..." Sebastian said in a half drunk fashion. Suddenly little girly boy Wynter fell out of a tree, somehow landing on his feet. "Uh actually Annabelle I do believe it's actually a party coming in three days. Can we help with anything?" He asked turning his gaze towards Sebastion as he asked the question. 'I don't remember a tree 'inside' the cafeteria... Maybe we walked outside? Oh what I wouldn't do for sleep!' Sebastian thought.

"Well there is a party soon, not a pear tree, Horingmar did you..." When Sebastian looked at his giant comrade he was surprised to see him in a fetal position, muttering on about... Something.

"Why I get no love, me Horingmar big strong orc yet tiny human get all good posts? Unfair to me... Oh please great one please give me chance to shine..." He sobbed in a comedic anime fashion. Sebastian's entire being went pale in shock. Who knew Horingmar got jealous?

"Ignore him... If you two want to help you can go to the storage room by the nice lunch lady, grab some balloons, ribbons, posters, and a biscuit. Next you can go to the nurse and tell her to deliver Potion M... E... It's important you put in the spaces, or else I'll get a masochist elixer." Sebastian said with a shudder.

"You think you see ghosts? Try seeing the world through my eyes... Maybe then you'll understand why I am who I am"-Collector Sebastian Ramirov

"Oh hi Wynter! I didn't see you there, where were you?" asked Annabelle, turning quickly to face the moon elf. There were so many places he could've gone to, and she did wonder where he could've gone. Anna herself usually stuck around the library or near the entrance of the cafeteria, sitting or strolling around enjoying the scenery. If anyone needed to find her they should make a beeline for the library, since that's where they would almost always find her.

"I uhm, wasn't really planning on helping out but I guess I could go to the nurse. Also Sebastian, are we allowed to take more subjects? I'm pretty interested in quite a few but I don't know if we have a limit on what classes we can take." admitted Annabelle. At the moment she has five classes, but there were so many more that she wanted to take to sate her curiosity.

While she waited for Sebastian to answer Annabelle twisted to face the sobbing orc. Without meaning to, she giggled at how hilarious it was to see a ripped orc blubbering about how he couldn't do anything. Realizing what she was doing, the brown haired girl flipped the other way and was pulling a face as a result of her trying to stop laughing. Oh gosh, why did I just do that... thought Anna as her puffy tail flicked from side to side.
