After dealing with one of the lackeys and Yukie taking out the other in a bloody fashion, as well as dispelling the shadow figure, the ice mage charged at the face tattooed guy holding Kurumi. The so-called son of Viscount still maintained his arm-crossing pose, continuing to watch the scene instead of helping his followers. Noticing that his fellow members has been taken down so easily, a hint of surprise and fear appeared on his expression.

“How did you---”

In order to protect himself from the ice mage who was trying to reach him with his hand, the face tattooed lackey immediately used Kurumi as a meat shield to protect him, putting her into an imminent collision course with the noble mage’s hand. The pink haired girl was surprised by the sudden turn of action, unable to react. Then...

When at last he broke through the crowd, the strong iron scent filled his nostrils. Jamie’s eyes flickered quickly as he broke into a run. Achieving some understanding of the situation was a secondary task; he aimed right for the center of the conflict.

The bright red that sang death smeared over the marble floor. Yukie had her man well restrained, and Jamie felt a cold touch over his heart to think that the situation had grown so desperate here -- here, in the walls of what was supposed to be a sanctum from barbarism.

Cold, too, was the brisk air around the frozen-eyed mage. Jamie saw the man’s hand outstretched towards Kurumi and didn’t hesitate. He stepped in between the man’s legs from behind and in a snapping motion pulled him by the throat. Unless he were planted in the floor by some feat of magic, the mage would surely find himself suddenly unseated by a burst of force, and crash head-first against the stone floor.

Seiren frowned when he saw that the girl was being used at a shield, though he didn't particularly care if she was. His control over his magic wasn't so poor as to kill a random girl. At most, she'd only feel a slight sense of cold flow through her before the man behind her got the brunt of it...

However, he didn't get to enact his plan as he was grabbed by the throat and slammed into the ground. Even his incredible defense couldn't receive the damage completely. It wasn't severe though, he'd be fine with a bit of meditation. He wasn't so sure about the stone floor. When two objects strike each other, the weaker would crack, and the floor immediately did.

He frowned but soon came to the realization that this was the so called 'Hero' that the other girl was waiting for. Well...he was quite late.

"You should have shown up sooner" he said calmly, not a trace of annoyance to be found. This wasn't enough to get him angry. Had he been angry, this boy would have already been dead. Of course, his cold way of talking always made him sound a bit annoyed with everyone.

"Bloom" with a soft word, a flower of ice cold mist appeared at his back and forced Jaimie away from him, allowing him to stand up. There was a small trace of blood on his forehead but the wound had already clotted up.

"You'll be paying for the floor" he said dusting his clothes off and wiping his forehead off "Next time, pay more attention to the surroundings as well, I won't be so kind if this happens again"

Jamie's skin clung to the man's neck like it were a block of ice. His fingertips stretched as force split his skin free. Jamie flicked his hand and kept on walking -- since he was sure he heard the crash, he spared not a backwards glance.

It was a little strange to see the man with a tattoo on his face burst into laughter. Jamie took a step and went no further, wondering if he had entirely misunderstood. As for Kurumi, she displayed a surprised expression.

“Are you two acquainted?” Jamie asked Kurumi.

The ice mage was already back up and saying something, but he didn’t seem to have any violent intent. Jamie kept his eyes trained on the man with a tattoo, whose hysterical grin seemed less than friendly.

“Are you two acquainted?”

Kurumi was confused with Jamie's words, but the tattoo guy quickly responded to Jamie.

"Yes! We are---"

"No!" Kurumi quickly exclaimed, interrupting him.

Decided that enough is enough, the pink haired girl began to struggle as she utilized her Gift that she gained back from her hometown. With a dark purplish aura surrounding her, Kurumi did a swift strike from her left elbow into her opponent's gut that staggered him, forcing the lackey to take a few steps behind and releasing his grip from Kurumi. The young soldier quickly turned to her target and roared, before punching the lackey on his face and left a dark purple streak where her right fist once traveled, indicating she has used her Gift.

"Khhh, you---"

The troublemaker tried to get up, only to get punched by Kurumi again, knocking him out cold. At this moment, the pink haired girl lets out an exasperated sigh while she glanced at the damage around her, thinking that she should have dealt with them alone way earlier. Yukie's bloody interception, Jamie's throw down, the ice mage's painful freezing moves and of course, her own fists. The crowd looking at the scene has become bigger too, and some of the students can be seen quickly running away, presumably notifying the Headmaster or seeking medical help.

Then...

"Bravo, bravo..."

The scarred man that Kurumi previously bumped into slowly clapped his hands, apparently amazed by the group's efforts.

"And here I am thinking the students here are a bunch of pushovers..."

As soon Kurumi opened her mouth, the muscular blond man immediately raised his hand.

"Fret not, I'll explain myself." He then introduced himself with an honorable tone. "I am Gerard, son of Viscount Galbadia from Vian. And those... followers..."

He intentionally paused, his gaze fixed on Kurumi.

"I don't consider them as friends of mine."

Surprise has once again swept Kurumi and perhaps the others as she was unable to comprehend Gerard's words. "What...?"

"Apparently they also share the same power as us."

He continued on, golden-black aura temporarily appeared on his hands before dissipating quickly.

"They tried to subdue me to their loyalty in their previous efforts, but of course..." The blonde smirked and chuckled afterwards. "They failed miserably."

"Sigh. And they decided to follow me till the end of time unless I kill them. I tried to talk some sense to them about their behaviors, but they just don't listen to me. So I decided to let them loose, hoping one day someone would just get rid of them for me. Then today happened."

"If that's the case..." Kurumi commented with a displeased expression. "Then you're no better than them."

"I can't do much.Their minds has been corrupted by the power they wield in their hands." Gerard explained. "The same power, the Gift that you have demonstrated earlier on. We also got Collected into this Academy against our will as well."

The pink haired girl stared at her hands for a while, until a sudden realization struck her hard.

"Wait what?!" She exclaimed at Gerard. "So you guys do have the tainted power of the Shadows! How... how did you guys...!?"

Gerard merely smirked at her. "I have said enough. You'll know later on..."

The muscular blond nonchalantly waved and walked away, before disappearing into the crowds of students gathered at the scene. As the mystery just deepened, Kurumi figured that she should address the others who attempted to save her.

"I'm sorry for causing a lot trouble." She said, her eyes glanced at Jamie, Yukie and the ice mage who has yet introduced himself. "If... If anything happens just say it's my fault. But I sure didn't expect that Yukie would cause that much of a damage..."

She looked away to the sides, while feeling awkward. It did not last long, as her eyes returned to the ice mage who tried to help her.

"I'm Kurumi." She introduced herself. "The guy who mistaken you as a part of the delinquents is Jamie, and the one who caused such a huge mess is Yukie." Kurumi gestured. "Oh, we just met yesterday, and I apologize on behalf of Jamie for the damage he has caused on you, Sir."

Kurumi bowed at the ice mage, hoping he will understand. How will the scene will move from there?

"If he'd really caused any damage, there would be no need to apologize as he'd be dead" Seiren said calmly. He was slightly impressed with her, she wasn't just a damsel in distress. He did however, believe that she was quite naive in waiting until this moment to deal with the situation. If one has the power, one should use it. Of course, there was the possibility that she was working with Yukie to set up this scenario.

Well...he didn't particularly care. He gave her a polite bow "Seiren Valneir" he said introducing himself. It was always proper to introduce oneself. He also didn't feel any regret getting involved. It was the natural course of events. Had the men simply changed their attitude, he would have left without a word to any of them.

Women from the orient were strange, to be sure. A gasp of sympathy for the man who had been defeated by a lady whistled through his teeth. While the end result may indeed be for the benefit of his friends, Jamie's face still pinched with disapproval.

Jamie placed his knee on the tattoed man's back and bade a bystander to retrieve the Headmaster. The man would not lie unconscious for long, Jamie knew. Only those severely barraged in the head fell into deep sleep; a dashing blow from Kurumi's fist would keep the man under for mere minutes.

"Not on my behalf!" Jamie called out. He had to speak over his shoulder lest he compromise his advantageous position. "I will shoulder my own blame, as is just. Even if you take no offense, Master Valneir, I am indebted to you for my foolish act. While my life is more than I am willing to offer, surely you can call on me for a favor when the need arises."

The man below awoke and protested, though whatever he planned to say was muffled incomprehensibly into the marble floor. Jamie ground into the man's back further, earning a pained groan and a more cooperative arrestee.

Horingmar sat on the ground, pitifully wailing due to some unknown force choosing Sebastian over him apparently for many bouts. However he heard some scuffling out in the far distance, he was unsure where it was coming from but there seemed to be something happening in the distance. Sadly he didn't care. All that mattered to him was pleasing the almighty gods of strength, and he couldn't do that if this mysterious figure wouldn't supposedly favor him over his more charismatic comrades. Suddenly a strong scent filled the air, a scent that he hadn't smelled for an incredibly long time. As a Warmonger he knew this scent very well for he has tasted it thousands of times in battle. A strong metallic scent.

Blood!

Without much hesitation, Horingmar slowly rose from his pitiful despair, each muscle flexed and clenching in response to this smell. He slowly drew his weapons, Kolgriin and the Wrayehr Saan in response. If there was blood in the air, there must've been a battle, and there cannot be a battle without a war. The large muscular behemoth of an orc started following his knows, tracking down the source of the blood. Stomp... Stomp... Stomp... Each metallic step an earthquake shaking the very land they stood on, every impact bringing the monster closer to the prey he was now hunting. Even Sebastian was taken back by Horingmar's sudden attitude shift.

"What's wrong?... You don't pull out your weapons... for nothing..." Sebastian said painfully, holding back the agony within.

"I smell blood. There has been battle nearby, if you are able you should come human for when there is blood, there is also death." Horingmar said almost joyfully as his inner demons would once again feel the rush of blood and battle.

Stomp... Stomp... Stomp... Each stop filling more longing within, the insatiable bloodlust that can only be sated by combat. it was building deep within as Horingmar hasn't met battle in almost a year. The scent of blood was strong, he was close! Horingmar turned around a corner, and was shocked by what he had seen. Kurumi, Yukie, Sir Long Nayeeme, Seiren, and some nobleman with his lackeys. It was unclear who was injured, but seeing some of the more promising students who had taken part in battle for whatever reckless reason was enough to push Horingmar over the edge. With a slow horrific gesture Horingmar readied the War Axe raising it high above his head. He was about to kill a student for taking part of a battle that was unnecessary and reckless. His eyes weren't fixed on one, oh no, he was determined to kill all of these students for they had made a critical mistake. To the students it was unclear if he was serious or simply joking. Surely a student wouldn't be killed by a teacher right? Right...? With one rapid swoosh, and his aimed fixed on Kurumi Horingmar Swung the axe with great strength and speed.

The loud clang of steel meeting stone echoed through out the entire school. The smell of blood was rich in the air, but not because fresh blood was spilled. The War Axe was slammed deep into the marble floor, right in front of the now mortified Kurumi. It took all of his strength to stop himself. His eyes were alive with bloodlust as he glared into the students.

"GRAAAAAAAAAAAAH! Someone better explain what happened NOW!!! Fighting on School Grounds is ABSOLUTELY FORBIDDEN and is punishable by DEATH! Do you children want punishment? Do you relish in the possible pain that awaits you? I AM NOT FORGIVING SO SOMEONE BETTER SPEAK NOW!!!" Horingmar yelled furiously. Sebastian limped beside his comrade, while he was much weaker, he too was not at all happy seeing injured students. The entire world went dark as he conjured a magical barrier surrounding the students. No one was going to leave without answering.

[Ris'Saliance Aior / Lobby]

The humongous war axe crashed inches away from Kurumi, leaving a gaping hole on the exquisite marble floor, startled her in the process. An angry orc, yes she expected that. A borderline murderous one, maybe not. Then the orc goes on a very angry rant.

"GRAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" He roared. "Someone better explain what happened NOW!!! Fighting on School Grounds is ABSOLUTELY FORBIDDEN and is punishable by DEATH!"

Kurumi's fear dissipated, as the situation continued to unfold. She took a relaxed stance and listened on. Kurumi learned about the orcs back in her hometown, but the knowledge was basic. This was also her first time seeing an orc within an institute for education too.

"Do you children want punishment? Do you relish in the possible pain that awaits you? I AM NOT FORGIVING SO SOMEONE BETTER SPEAK NOW!!!"

The pink haired girl pouted for a moment, her eyes glanced at Seiren, Yukie and ultimately Jamie who was still pinning that face tattoo guy on the ground. After reverting her gaze back to the fuming orc, the Collector who 'forcibly' retrieved Kurumi and the others conjured a magical barrier, creating an enclosed space for them and the two RSA instructors.

"I bumped into a so-called nobleman."

Kurumi began to explain in a calmly manner, as she took a few steps forward, away from the others.

"I apologized. But apparently his followers aren't pleased with what I did and they demanded me to properly..." She slightly paused. "Compensate him."

"Then I said no and a scuffle happened between us. I beat all of them. The noble guy somehow escaped though."

Kurumi answered without a single stammer. For the other belligerents, it was obvious that she put up a blatant lie. Or maybe they did not notice someone was bleeding and the other was freezing?

"Still, won't you think that immediate medical attention should be given to those two?" The pink haired girl commented, her eyes looking at the two severely injured lackeys from before. "There's plenty of time for us to chit chat later on."

What will the others do? Will they let her take the brunt of the blame?

Seiren looked at Horingmar calmly, thinking about what to say. He then nodded as he listened to Kurumi speak. It was a concise explanation, but he had a better and more straightforward one "These men simply started a battle that they were unprepared to finish" he said calmly. Rules or not, he was challenged and responded in kind. It was already acting polite for him to spare someone's life.

As such, he'd already accepted the possibility of being punished for his actions. He simply did not have the power to ignore it. He did not speak further. If he was to be punished, then let it be done, there was no point in spending extra time on it. He had better things to worry about, such as his cultivation and studying his magic. Once he reached his second Dantian creation, he had plans to find a beast to bind to himself.

After hearing the children's stories, Sebastian huffed. Not angrily but rather in disappointment. The same couldn't be said for Horingmar, his veins looked like they were about to burst. So there was a fight, and blood was shed, no big deal. Atleast no one died. 'Sebastian smiled under his mask, relaxing the barrier and gently tapping his comrades shoulder.

"Look, Kurumi you have to be more careful. A lot of the nobles here have never heard a woman say 'No' to a day or night of fun. Instead of fighting however you should have called a guard or a teacher, like my colleague said unsanctioned fights aren't allowed. Since I am feeling Merciful, very merciful, I have decided to let you guys off easy." Sebastian said calmly. "Zerath doesn't need to hear about this mishap, but I do have to punish you. Yukie and Jamie are on Probation, you cannot go anywhere without a teacher present, and are hereby given detention in the form of extra academical classes. I expect you to write a full essay on the Battle of Solasuun. Seiren, I need to take that special ice away from you, and you will face a full night in the flame circle. Kurumi, you are under probation, and you will have to follow me everywhere you go until the tournament ends. You will also be following me on any Collection mission, consider yourself drafted into the Collector program. Before punishment, you will all go to the infirmary for we have a very capable healer coming and she should be able to fix you right up."

(In terms of probation, just say you have a guard following you around. Very soon we'll have a timeskip. Seiren, after the nurse visit you will report to the dungeon where Sebastian will ensue your punishment. I have a special plan for Kurumi, and I'll message you about it. There! Scuffle solved! Oh and Horingmar is still mad. Don't taunt him. :) )

Dove looked towards the doors to the outside mournfully, feeling the call of flight. She wanted nothing more than to go on a nice long flight and get herself composed. She grimaced slightly and moved over to where Alt had been standing, crouching and taking a deep breath. Her scent was very strong here, smelling of Sun elf, sweat and dirt. She stood up to follow as Kirra spoke up again, Oh come on. Must we?  Aye, we must. I was rude, and besides I believe they are a new student, if I recall correctly. They may get lost running off down there, and we at least can follow a scent trail back. Did you hear what she said? She likely would prefer that we did not follow her anyway. Be that as it may, I want to. Besides your just miffed she was disdainful rather than fearful over demonic energy. Oh fine. If she singes you, I told you so. Dove shook her head, amused, before continuing on her way and walking down the stairs. She followed the scent trail as the sweat smell grew stronger and fresher. It took quite a few twists and turns through the halls, and she was glad she was not navigating by sight, or she would have been lost herself. She knew she was close when she started to hear the panting breaths, although thanks to her heightened sense it was still a few more turns down the halls before she spotted Alt lying huddled on the ground against a wall. She spread her wings as she walked a bit closer, and crouched. People often found her face unsettling, but the softer grey of her wings tended to be more reassuring for most. She quietly called out, "Hello Alt. I apologize for my rudeness before. Are you alright?"

Is that right? Jamie stared dubiously at Kurumi. She took them all on?

Flashing through his mind's eye was the image of her anxious face -- her wide eyes and parted lips. He thought of the tattooed man and his thick hand clamped around her wrist. Her face then was not a face fresh out of combat. The tattooed man held her without a trace of fear. In fact, Jamie could find no piece of memory that evidenced truth to her testimony.

The man below him cried out suddenly. Just as quickly, Jamie withdrew.

The tattooed man cracked his back, grouching, "Holy Frogs, man, you've broken something."

"Collector, this man was one of the aggressors," Jamie said. "Do as you see fit." He passed Kurumi by, and tried to meet her eyes as he did, ready to find a trace of shame, a flickering gaze.

"I'm afraid I'd prefer to see the Headmaster, Collector Sebastian. Disciplinary measures done in the shadows are too often multiplied when they are brought to light." He could not keep the reproach from showing; his arms crossed. His tone was brisk, his eyes dark. "Is there not a guard in charge of investigations? Are we able to submit a written report of what transpired to the Headmaster personally? If at all possible, sir, discipline must be slow, and find its roots in truth. That is the way of the just."

After hearing and considering their stories, perhaps punishment wasn't entirely necessary. It was only a scuffle, people were hurt but it wasn't bad at all. Using a very powerful illusion Sebastian Altered Horingmar's memory, making it so that the students simply had a nasty trip. Having cast another ridiculously powerful spell had lowered Sebastian's energy to a dangerous low, but he refused to let the students see his weakness.

"Alright you know what, It's best if you just go to the nurse for healing, no punishments. While Zerath would punish you, and Horingmar would demand blood, I'm merciful. We have a new med student and I hear that this is a good one." Sebastian said calmly. Oh and let's keep this 'secret'." Sebastian said sarcastically. "There is a tournament being held soon, and you are all going. Zerath himself wanted to tell you, but I'd like you all to be prepared because..." Before he could finish a splitting headache struck like a viper, sudden and devastating. "Hold that thought... I'm going to stop by the nurse. If you want to come you can, if not you are free to go."

(This isn't the post I was talking about in OOC, I made this post after some thought and consultation with our Co GM. I am completely forgetting the whole punishment thing as I realized that you dont entirely want that. This post is more of a quick announcement really so forgive my lazy writing. Our tourney has been 'announced' but the post I was working on will be up very very soon, and it's a time skip!. I have to remove the punishments and rewrite the tones which won't take too long but making a time skip directly to the tourney in the end is better than the long route I intended. For everyone I endorse you to keep posting, for Scarlet I have a plan for you.) [I tried tagging everyone but it is being buggy]

Footsteps. Altehya immediately forces herself to calm her emotions and her frantic breathing. Something not too far in the distance is coming toward her. She lowers her head and hugs her legs tight, staring at the ground with wide watery, embarrassed eyes. The only sound that can be heard is the faintest noise of rustling feathers brushing against the walls of the tightly spaced hallway. Stay frozen, it's too dark in here. Maybe they won't see you, she thought. Movement...then silence. "Hello Alt"Abnormally skittish, the Sun Elf  jumps at hearing the echoing voice that is too close to her ear and unconsciously illuminates her left hand with a warm inviting light. "I apologize for my rudeness before". There casted by the orange radiant light is Annie's face. The bird is shockingly close to Altehya's that, if they listened, they could hear each other's breathing.  But it isn't her alarming features that catch Altehya's eyes again. Her face...emanates warmth and comfort. Her eyes exude compassion and peace.  It is at this very moment where the she-elf  realizes something very important. This isn't a monster. This is a girl. She is a being with feelings just like anyone else. She may have the external features of an avian, and even insides that host demonic energy. But her heart is pure. For some reason, the Sun Elf intuitively knows this to be true. Her soul shines through as any other kind being that physically looks "normal". Heck, she is even more kind than most "normal" looking beings, thought Altehya.  And she treated Annie so terribly. Unaware as to why, Altehya was reminded of her mother. "Are you alright?"

"...Yes".
