Name: Vuokko Pihla Inari Lemmitty Haapalainen

Appearance: Inari, as she is often called, is a young attractive woman with ivory skin and ashen blonde hair that reaches down just past her chest. Her hair is brushed back, and held in place with two sharp, ivory colored hair clips. Her eyes follow the light motif, being a cold and piercing cloudy grey hue, contrasted and emphasized by her dark eyelashes, further darkened by an application of mascara. Her face has sharp features and exudes a calm and cool attitude that is difficult to shake. Her voice is silvery and controlled, carrying the very same attitude.


She falls short of average height by about eight centimeters, standing at approximately 159 centimeters, or 5 feet and 2.5 inches. Having a light frame, she weighs approximately 47 kilograms, or 103.6 lbs, and is, as weight may suggest, poorly endowed. She stands with a dignified posture, with her shoulders back, her chest forward, and with her toes pointed straight forward, or slightly outward, and she walks with a gait that is equally as graceful as her stance. Her arms are either flat by her sides, behind her back, or crossed in front of her chest; at times, however, she displays a mild compulsive habit of needing to touch or hold something with her hands, by either placing them on a nearby wall, picking something up, or playing with her ring.


Most often, Inari wears a-line dresses with a loose skirt and a well fitted bodice, featuring simple or no designs with pastel coloring, and almost always have sleeves, be it short or long. Her favorite color to wear is a light pastel cyan. Along with whatever color dress she may be wearing, she wears a pair of flats that match well. That being said, as she most often wears a cyan dress, she wears cyan flats. On formal occasions or social events, she wears a pair of horsebit loafers along with khakis, a button-down shirt, and a reefer. At all times she wears a silver band with a small ellipsoid ruby. She also makes sure to always keep her shoulders covered -- not for conservative dressing preferences, but because she would rather people not noticing or bringing up her birthmark, shaped like an Arabic letter located on the front of her left shoulder; she would much rather keep such blemishes out of conversation.

  3. C Rank: Shockwave - Inari charges up energy and releases it in a loud and powerful percussive blast in all directions. It can cause hearing damage and, at close ranges, hemorrhaging. It's effective range is about 5 meters. Alternatively, the shockwave can be directed, requiring less build up, but it loses more of it's potency the further it goes.

B Rank: Ultrasound Rangefinder - Inari can emit inaudibly high-pitched frequencies to detect objects up to 1 kilometer in air and decently further underwater, effectively enhancing her abilities as a sniper. Mapper* - Inari can use all audio within earshot to create an approximate map of her surroundings, including obstructions and individuals.
  5. A Rank: Audio Data* - Inari can now use sound to learn information about objects, including resonance frequency, volume, mass, density, structural weaknesses, shape, and so forth.
  6. S Rank: Resonance - Using Audio Data, she need only to make physical contact with her target. She then creates vibrations and adjusts it to the objects resonance frequency, this, over short period of time, causes the object to deconstruct and break apart. When used on enemies, it causes procedurally increasing damage over time, starting with confusion, then to hemorrhaging, and ending with the material decomposition of flesh. When used on solid ground, the ground starts to break down and eventually breaks down into an aggregate, like sand or pebbles. When used on an aggregate, it can be used to uncover buried objects, and kicking up dust and pebbles as a distraction.


Weapon Preference: Inari prefers to be at a distance from her enemy, and thus, prefers weapons with long ranges, the sniper rifle being a good example.


Personality:



Just like her demeanor would suggest, she is a dignified individual with a calm and collected, but serious attitude; she is, too, an intelligent woman of few words, placing little value in small talk and gossip. At first glance, one may find Inari to be intimidating with her silent and expressionless glare, coupled with her serious nature and her nigh static disposition. When applicable, Inari attempts to assume a positions that is leaderly and gives her control over individuals. And, while she does not emote well, she finds interest in many things, wishing to know more about them.


Likes:



Inari has many interests; music; visual arts; foreign foods; light colors; and so forth. Her favorite song, is Liekkas, and though it is not in her native language, she has been practicing, trying to get the lyrics down. Her favorite animal is the cockatoo. She rarely does so, but has alluded to the fact that she would enjoy dancing.


Dislikes:
Above all else, Inari hates stubbornness. It causes her to react with uncharacteristic hostility. Relating to more material things, she dislikes humidity, anything classifiable as "dirty", darkness, and infighting; she will often try to diffuse it.


Fears:


Inari becomes mildly distressed in dark environments, due to an abnormal inability to see in the dark. As well, while not being a fear per se, she has a compulsive need to make physical contact with nearby objects.

It was not cancerous, but it's unimpeded growth was causing great damage. In fact, in the last few hours before surgery, she suffered from a minor stroke on her left side. Her surgery took a total of nine hours, and most of the growth was removed. Fortunately, she also had minimal hair loss.


Almost immediately, Inari started recovery. She was determined to return to her prior self. Unlike most, she tried to be up the entire day, never laying down to rest until the sun itself fell below the horizon. She denied any unnecessary medication, despite nurse's recommendation. And despite being unable to feel her left leg while in the hospital, she tried to walk as much as possible with the aid rehabilitators. With much determination, she was out of the hospital in three weeks. After only one more month, she had regained full function. She finished the following year of education with poor marks, still in a wheelchair for precaution. After she recovered as much as possible, she only had a few lasting effects on her body. Firstly, her occipital lobe was damaged, affecting her vision. Namely, the ability to see in the dark. And secondly, her left leg; it often appears to be unscathed, but when she becomes particularly tired or exhausted, she will develop a slight limp, with her knee occasionally locking up. Emotionally, she was largely unaffected by her ailment. In fact, she was surprised to hear that her friends were concerned. Even now, she fails to understand.


With that behind her, she focused on her studies, returning to Finland for college. She picked up musical interests, learning how to sing, and how to play the clarinet. Finally, deciding to put her skills and intelligence to use, she determined the best way was to assist mankind, and join the fight for the light.

Just a bit shy of being six feet tall, Brian looks to weigh about 175 lbs or so. His long brown hair is normally kept somewhat slicked back out of his vision. The slight limp when he walks makes it obvious the cane he uses isn't just for show, but is put to good use. His eyes generally have of stern yet caring in them as he interacts with many of the younger people in his day to day activities. He keeps a tight grip on his cane when walking and when leaning on it. The cane itself appears to be made out of a combination of hickory wood and brass.

If tied to another enemy, both enemies take any damage one of them receives. If tied to the ground, the enemy is stuck in place until the chains disappear.
  5. A Rank: Holy Avenger(Passive): Brian's inner Light causes his attack and movement speed to be increased to twice his normal rate. In the presence of Evil energy it can be increased to four times his normal rate, although it exhausts him after the battle.
  6. S Rank: Reckoning: A pillar of searing, heavenly light rapidly descends from the sky, burning Brian's enemies and fully healing his allies.


Personality: Brian tries to take a more human, fatherly role to many of the younger members of the Firm since his own family has been separated. He tries his best to keep a professional demeanor during most of his time in the office, but sometimes tries to make light of things to keep morale up among those under his care. Despite this, he won't even spend so much as a second's worth of time hesitating to put a stop to employees who either seriously break the rules or go Rogue.

Bio:
The owner of Rosewater Execution Firm, Brian got his start in hunting evil largely by accident. When he was in high school he went on a week long camping trip with a few friends. The entire time they had the feeling they were being watched, although they didn't know by what. As the trip went on the feeling got worse, until one night when they all retired to their tents the creature intended to take them one at a time. However, they managed to fend the abomination (he knows now it was a goatman) with the combined power of their hunting rifles. They took the body of the large animal to the local park ranger, not knowing what it was. A phone call from the ranger to someone else later and next thing he knew the ranger was keeping them there to talk to them. The ranger told them not to tell anybody about what had happened here and to go home. Naturally, Brian and his friends didn't listen to the ranger since they wanted answers. It was because of their stupidity that they ended up captured by the goat-man hybrids with the intention of killing them. Brian and his friends were saved two days later by strange men with military grade weaponry. This time, they listened damn well when told to go home.


However, the seed of ridding evil from this world had already been planted in Brian. Whether a desire for glory and fame or not wanting others to go through the torment he did, he joined the military at the age of 18, becoming a member of a team specialized in hunting evil's minion at the age of 23. However, some years later he would sustain an awful injury to his leg and torso during a mission he refuses to speak about. This caused him to be discharged from service and have to continously use a walking cane. Now much older, wiser, and less foolish Brian founded Rosewater Execution Firm when he was thirty years old and hasn't looked back. Despite the issues with funding, staffing, and other headaches he won't stop this line of work until he's dead in the ground.

-Hair: Steely grey in color, a majority of it pulled back into a tail that reaches the middle of his back. Stray strands hang just in front of his ears, with few covering the front of his face.


-Eye Color: Possesses complete heterochromia, left eye is a shamrock green while right is a rose red


-Body Frame: Raymond stands at 5'11, and weighs just about 160 lbs. Frame is that of a leaner male, muscle tone is developed and chiseled, yet not overwhelmingly large or noticeable. With broad shoulders and a naturally straight back, its a surprise his movement is rather fluid. His arms are most often crossed in front of his chest, or down at his side, a pet peeve of his is hands inside of pockets and he hardly ever puts his own hands in their either. Skin is of a lighter complexion, giving his eyes a strong contrast.


-Clothing: Public choice of attire is usually the same, almost like it were a uniform to him. Black or dark blue jeans, its a wonder these don't hinder his movement in a fight. A black undershirt, only worn as it is seen as a fitting color contrast to the grey trench coat-like cloak he wears. The entire front is left unbuttoned, leaving the black shirt exposed. A silver chain hangs and connects the two ends of the collar for the coat, and another hangs from a right belt loop to a hidden object in his front right pocket.


-Weapon Choice: Preferring to use an ago-old fighting style of twin double-edges swords. Both are about forearm length, with no guard. Starts with the hilt, where dull steel is layered by leather and then cloth, and into a smooth transition to the dual edged blades themselves. Both hang from his left hip, sheathes clipped to his belt.


-Personality: Raymond is rather sociable, getting along rather well with his fellow assassins. At first a bit timid towards strangers, exposing his true colors to comrades quickly after associating with them and achieving positive results. Unintentionally comes off as flirty, but he has no intention of a romance with any individuals. His attitude towards targets however, is the opposite. Being one who enjoys seeing those who deserve it suffer, he had developed a rather sadistic or tormenting tone towards those who he had intention to kill. If left unsupervised, torturing for information is his preferred method of removing targets, that is, if he isn't on a timer. If he is, a quick removal is also a tactic taken.

-Distortion (C): Light effects around the target are distorted, giving the effect of complete colorblindness. Target sees in different hues of grey and black, cutting off interpretation of color. Exceptionally useful for sabotage or distraction. City streets become a dangerous place for the colorblind..

Gaze (B) (Passive): Ray becomes much more controlled with his abilities, now having an area of affect in areas within his field of vision. Only exception is areas he can see, but cannot make out clearly to alter the light shining on the object. Overrules past distance requirements for abilities. Chaos as far as the eye can see..

Illusion (B): Lights begin to affect target's perception of reality, creating false figments in their vision. Light is as dark as dark can be..


-Light Show (A): Flashes of light, immediate darkness, and then continuous repetition. Prolonged exposure most often leads to seizure, blindness, even insanity to the weak minded. Light is a nightmare to those in the dark..

Shade Step (S): Blinding lights cover specific areas of the target's vision, more specifically covering Ray himself. This power gives Ray the illusion of vanishing, and reappearing at a different point in the target's vision. Now you see me.. Now you don't..

-Fears: Cats. An absolute fear of them. He has no particular reason to be, but he Raymond has been deathly afraid since the beginning of his existence.


-Bio: Raymond has been a sadist since he was a child, but it had been at a controllable rate. Practiced in sword mastery soon after understanding and deriving pleasure from the pain of others. Besides those factors, he had lived an ordinary life until his early teens. Sociable and well-liked, he became a target for others weeks before completing high school. At that time, an incident escalated into an accident, and Ray took to combating this assailant where childish prank went awry. In this, he had taken a life, accident of course. Public witnessed it as an act of self defense, and he was not judged or given extreme consequences. This life changing event had him come to the horrifying realization that he enjoyed the horror of battle, yet he wanted a way to make it seem justified. The Rosewater Execution Firm was his answer, as they convinced him to believe that they were removing those who had fallen to darkness. His power had been revealed to be the visual perception of light, soon after being accepted into the Firm. Adjusting the light levels around him, or even the light read by his target's eyes, were an easy and simple start to his elemental prowess

-Bio: Raymond has been a sadist since he was a child, but it had been at a controllable rate. Practiced in sword mastery soon after understanding and deriving pleasure from the pain of others. Besides those factors, he had lived an ordinary life until his early teens. Sociable and well-liked, he became a target for others weeks before completing high school. At that time, an incident escalated into an accident, and Ray took to combating this assailant where childish prank went awry. In this, he had taken a life, accident of course. Public witnessed it as an act of self defense, and he was not judged or given extreme consequences. This life changing event had him come to the horrifying realization that he enjoyed the horror of battle, yet he wanted a way to make it seem justified. The Rosewater Execution Firm was his answer, as they convinced him to believe that they were removing those who had fallen to darkness. His power had been revealed to be the visual perception of light, soon after being accepted into the Firm. Adjusting the light levels around him, or even the light read by his target's eyes, were an easy and simple start to his elemental prowess

Tanaka was raised in a very secretive family with two other brothers and adoptive sister. The reason was mainly because of his father and his work Tanaka and his siblings weren't allowed to go outside while their father was around the house. He was an experienced Hacker and was currently working on hacking into U.S.A Central Intelligence Agency main computer to override the system. A project he has been working on for years at a time, but continued to fail. A project he kept even from his wife and kids for their safety. Tanaka would watch his father as he executed codes, downloaded hacked software and uploaded numerous virtual identities to his system made to travel through the virtual world.




This then became a major life goal for Tanaka to become a successful hacker and of course one day accomplish what his father never could. So in class after finishing his assignments, he would read books on coding, and taught himself how to decipher messages on an electronic device then in his head. He taught himself how to build computers and designed his own system he calls,


"??????? Subete no m?d?ken" (All Seeing Eye). Within weeks Tanaka had reached highest scholar in his school and with his academic capabilities he was able to graduate high school at the age of sixteen and given the Hope Scholarship for college.


He attended college for two years and graduated with a Bachelors and a Master degree in the engineering technologies field. Upon leaving college campus, Tanaka returned to his parent's home, at the age eighteen, to reunite after so long, but what he didn't intend on was life changing. He glanced upon the walls and peaked through the kitchen, but he found nothing all of his family was missing. He checked the basement and noticed sounds of moaning in pain and soft crying. The distressed sounds were coming from his siblings who were huddled on their knees around what seemed to be two familiar bodies, his mother and father. Looking to his siblings to answers, only the eldest brother spoke, in a cracking voice, that two men, appeared to be foreigner from the U.S, came at their door asking for their father. Another added that they had a dark aura about them and seemed hostile.





As the three took turns explaining the conflict Tanaka began to feel more anger than sadness and a sudden feeling of guilt. His emotions took hold of him and his hands began to flow with a minor blue electricity.

He’s a good source of moral, hardly ever kept down by depression long. However, he’s hot blooded and easily gullible. Doesn't think before acting, entirely trusting his body to know what to do in any situation, he doesn't rely on logic in a battle. Too trusting.

Out of highschool he immediately signed up for anything related to killing evil in the purest forms. Appearance:
Lithe and demure, Veronica's figure speaks of delicacy and poise. Her father always likened her to one of the porcelain China dolls which he made for his living, she looked so fragile that she might break at a wrong word, but inside, she is as tough as iron. She is pale and smooth, no blemishes to be found anywhere on her silky skin. Her face is gently framed by both her round glasses, which are set in front of two dark brownish-red eyes, and her long black hair, which she usually wears in two long braids reaching down her back. Long and slender fingers imply her skill with them, she is an adept piano player, and her hands show little sign of roughness or work-worn wear. Her thin limbs move and sway with almost ethereal grace, as if a sharp wind would blow her away, she is light on her feet and her small frame belies her athletic capabilities. She appears thin and stretched, as if her body is too tall for her, and though she weighs an average amount in relation to her height, she seems to nearly glide across the ground in place of walking. Despite her appearance, she is by no means weak, as she has trained herself to be physically fit and surprisingly quick and powerful. If a phrase could be used to describe her as she is, it would be 'tougher than she looks.'

Polar Rime: Veronica now harnesses the power of ice to its fullest, creating frigid walls and weapons and even freezing opponents directly. The ice crystals are structurally formed to be nearly impenetrable, though they are still vulnerable to heat and melting.

  • Can create barriers and weapons from pure ice with a density and strength equal to that of iron. Touching a target with one of these weapons or her hands will send a wave of hoarfrost slowly creeping over their body, restricting their movements and slowing them down. The longer the weapon or her hand is held against the target, the thicker the frost will become, and within a few minutes will completely encase them in ice.

Monsoon: Veronica creates a massive storm overhead that devastates enemies and protects allies caught within it.

  • The storm pours out many possible varieties of weather; freezing sleet, corroding acid, pummeling hail, blinding rain. Targeted allies are not affected by any damage it would do, instead they are covered in a protective coating of soothing water, like a form-fitting soap bubble into which all of these attacks simply melt and dissipate. The bubble also flows over surface wounds, healing external damage and renewing allies vital energy, leaving them feeling rested and removing any fatigue or exhaustion, though more devastating inward injuries are too much for it to overcome.





Personality: Quiet and calculating, Veronica is a scalpel in a world of swords. She never lets her emotions escape her, even emotional experiences draw little more than a flat expression from her countenance. That being said, she does have feelings as deep and sincere as any other human soul, she simply keeps hers locked behind a guarded smile and an offset gaze. Still, she is personable enough to integrate into most social circles that allow for her deadpan humour and dry sarcasm, her melancholy outlook is prone to pointing out the futility in a scenario rather than success, but she can always be counted on for an honest opinion, however painfully sharp. Veronica prefers to work on her own, seeing others as more distractions than companions, but the select few who she deems worthy of close friendship are sacred, and for her to go out of her way to assist another is a sign of her absolute trust and loyalty.

Bio:

Born to a struggling tradesman family in San Francisco, Veronica's father eked out what living he could in the Chinatown markets, selling delicate porcelain dolls and figurines. Young Veronica would sit at his workbench day after day, watching his hands move over the fragile faces, his soft horse-hair brush painting rosy cheeks and lips on their pasty white faces. She went to the local school, taught in Chinese, and though she was not a terrific student, her father would always pat her head and say "Do your best." And she did, eager to please him, eventually improving into an intelligent student over the years. She even supplemented her academic studies with several traditional martial arts to improve her body as well as her mind. But life was hard. It had always been hard, it was the reason they had moved here from China, or escaped rather, before Veronica was born, only to follow shortly after her birth with her mother's death of illness due to poor living conditions. But here in America, there were no sweatshops lining the streets, no forced labor for mere coins each day, "a land of opportunity," her father always said. He had even given her a name that was not common inside of China, his hope was that she would fit in better to this new world they now lived in. And even though they survived on nearly as little as he had made before, it was the freedom to work and play as they pleased that brought joy to their household.


And so Veronica spent her childhood, cheerfully going to school by day, often staying up to burn midnight oil with her father as he worked by night. Veronica was undoubtedly a 'daddy's girl', constantly spending every moment she could at home to be with him, to support him, and he lavished affection on her, nearly spoiling her when he had the chance. She became his apprentice and companion, cutting fabric and sewing dresses for the miniature people whom her father dutifully constructed. It came to the point where she carried several pairs of scissors and a pocket sewing kit on her person at all times, mostly because she often forget them lying about. Their life was not a perfect one, but it was happy nonetheless. Until the Chinese New Year, 2011, the Year of the Rabbit. The February air was crisp and chill, yet the citizens of the Chinatown district were outdoors en masse, celebrating with fireworks and crackers and dancing paper dragons. Veronica, now a grown young woman of nineteen years, still clung to her father's arm like a schoolchild, casting gasps of delight at the colours and sounds and smells. Her father laughed, his rich voice carrying over the heads of the crowds, music to her ears. And suddenly, all seemed silent.


It took her only a blink of her eyes for the scene to change completely, the celebrating masses turned into a screaming mob. Dark shapes leapt from atop the buildings into the crowds, monstrous creatures who tore into anyone unfortunate enough to be within reach. She was snapped from her shock by her father taking her by the hand, pushing her in front of him as they fled the massacre. Behind them, cries of despair rang out, though Veronica did not look back. If she had, she would have seen the monster that followed after them, she would have been able to warn her father. But her first warning was his hands leaving her shoulders, followed by his voice, screaming for her to keep running. And still she turned around. What she saw towering above her, gripping her father in its clawed hands, had the head of a massive rabbit, quite unlike the cute woodland animal, this one with sharp fangs, foaming at the mouth, loosing a hideous screech before plunging its teeth into her father. She did not hear her own scream, but she knew it was there, falling to her knees as her father was murdered before her eyes. She stared at the ground as it lumbered off, satisfied that it had killed one before moving on to its next victim. It was at this moment that the Rosewater Execution Firm containment Unit arrived, its specialist soldiers dispatching the creatures and securing the area, rescuing the survivors, among them Veronica. She was in a catatonic state of shock, simply staring at the ground, repeatedly muttering the word "Father... father..."


The next morning, she awoke in a hospital bed. Turning on the television in her room revealed no truthful news coverage of the night before, it had apparently been covered up. The deaths and damage being attributed to the explosions of many fireworks among the crowds, setting buildings ablaze and destroying any evidence of supernatural occurrences. But Veronica knew, and she was certain the armed guard outside of her hospital door knew as well, as she saw him pacing up and down across the window. Using the cliche of escaping out of the window using the bedsheets, Veronica quickly ran to her home, just outside the yellow caution tape surrounding the scene of the incident. She knew that this was outside of the realm of possibility, no one in the public would believe her and she'd be sent to an institution for certain. So she packed her as many of her belongings into a backpack as she could, including her father's portrait and a doll that her father had made to look like her mother. These were all that was left to her of her family now. And so she set out into the world on her own, searching for the source of these creatures and the cause of her father's death, seeking vengeance.

Lithe and demure, Veronica's figure speaks of delicacy and poise. Her father always likened her to one of the porcelain China dolls which he made for his living, she looked so fragile that she might break at a wrong word, but inside, she was as tough as iron. She is pale and smooth, no blemishes to be found anywhere on her silky skin. Her face is gently framed by both her round glasses, which are set in front of two dark brownish-red eyes, and her long black hair, which she usually wears in two long braids reaching down her back. Long and slender fingers imply her skill with them, she is an adept piano player, and her hands show little sign of roughness or work-worn wear. Her thin limbs move and sway with almost ethereal grace, as if a sharp wind would blow her away, she is light on her feet and her small frame belies her athletic bent. If a phrase could be used to describe her as she is, it would be 'tougher than she looks.'

    • The storm pours out many possible varieties of weather; freezing sleet, corroding acid, pummeling hail, blinding rain. Targeted allies are not affected by any damage it would do, instead they are covered in a protective coating of soothing water, like a form-fitting soap bubble into which all of these attacks simply melt and dissipate. The bubble also flows over surface wounds, healing external damage and renewing allies vital energy, leaving them feeling rested and removing any fatigue or exhaustion, though more devastating inward injuries are too much for it to overcome.






Personality: Quiet and calculating, Veronica is a scalpel in a world of swords. She never lets her emotions escape her, even emotional experiences draw little more than a flat expression from her countenance. That being said, she does have feelings as deep and sincere as any other human soul, she simply keeps hers locked behind a guarded smile and an offset gaze. Still, she is personable enough to integrate into most social circles that allow for her deadpan humour and dry sarcasm, her melancholy outlook is prone to pointing out the futility in a scenario rather than success, but she can always be counted on for an honest opinion, however painfully sharp. Veronica prefers to work on her own, seeing others as more distractions than companions, but the select few who she deems worthy of close friendship are sacred, and for her to go out of her way to assist another is a sign of her absolute trust and loyalty.

Bio: Born to a struggling tradesman family in San Francisco, Veronica's father eked out what living he could in the Chinatown markets, selling delicate porcelain dolls and figurines. Young Veronica would sit at his workbench day after day, watching his hands move over the fragile faces, his soft horse-hair brush painting rosy cheeks and lips on their pasty white faces. She went to the local school, taught in Chinese, and though she was not a terrific student, her father would always pat her head and say "Do your best." And she did, eager to please him, eventually improving into an intelligent student over the years. She even supplemented her academic studies with several traditional martial arts to improve her body as well as her mind. But life was hard. It had always been hard, it was the reason they had moved here from China, or escaped rather, before Veronica was born, only to follow shortly after her birth with her mother's death of illness due to poor living conditions. But here in America, there were no sweatshops lining the streets, no forced labor for mere coins each day, "a land of opportunity," her father always said. He had even given her a name that was not common inside of China, his hope was that she would fit in better to this new world they now lived in. And even though they survived on nearly as little as he had made before, it was the freedom to work and play as they pleased that brought joy to their household.


And so Veronica spent her childhood, cheerfully going to school by day, often staying up to burn midnight oil with her father as he worked by night. Veronica was undoubtedly a 'daddy's girl', constantly spending every moment she could at home to be with him, to support him, and he lavished affection on her, nearly spoiling her when he had the chance. She became his apprentice and companion, cutting fabric and sewing dresses for the miniature people whom her father dutifully constructed. It came to the point where she carried several pairs of scissors and a pocket sewing kit on her person at all times, mostly because she often forget them lying about. Their life was not a perfect one, but it was happy nonetheless. Until the Chinese New Year, 2011, the Year of the Rabbit. The February air was crisp and chill, yet the citizens of the Chinatown district were outdoors en masse, celebrating with fireworks and crackers and dancing paper dragons. Veronica, now a grown young woman of nineteen years, still clung to her father's arm like a schoolchild, casting gasps of delight at the colours and sounds and smells. Her father laughed, his rich voice carrying over the heads of the crowds, music to her ears. And suddenly, all seemed silent.


It took her only a blink of her eyes for the scene to change completely, the celebrating masses turned into a screaming mob. Dark shapes leapt from atop the buildings into the crowds, monstrous creatures who tore into anyone unfortunate enough to be within reach. She was snapped from her shock by her father taking her by the hand, pushing her in front of him as they fled the massacre. Behind them, cries of despair rang out, though Veronica did not look back. If she had, she would have seen the monster that followed after them, she would have been able to warn her father. But her first warning was his hands leaving her shoulders, followed by his voice, screaming for her to keep running. And still she turned around. What she saw towering above her, gripping her father in its clawed hands, had the head of a massive rabbit, quite unlike the cute woodland animal, this one with sharp fangs, foaming at the mouth, loosing a hideous screech before plunging its teeth into her father. She did not hear her own scream, but she knew it was there, falling to her knees as her father was murdered before her eyes. She stared at the ground as it lumbered off, satisfied that it had killed one before moving on to its next victim. It was at this moment that the Rosewater Execution Firm containment Unit arrived, its specialist soldiers dispatching the creatures and securing the area, rescuing the survivors, among them Veronica. She was in a catatonic state of shock, simply staring at the ground, repeatedly muttering the word "Father... father..."


The next morning, she awoke in a hospital bed. Turning on the television in her room revealed no truthful news coverage of the night before, it had apparently been covered up. The deaths and damage being attributed to the explosions of many fireworks among the crowds, setting buildings ablaze and destroying any evidence of supernatural occurrences. But Veronica knew, and she was certain the armed guard outside of her hospital door knew as well, as she saw him pacing up and down across the window. Using the cliche of escaping out of the window using the bedsheets, Veronica quickly ran to her home, just outside the yellow caution tape surrounding the scene of the incident. She knew that this was outside of the realm of possibility, no one in the public would believe her and she'd be sent to an institution for certain. So she packed her as many of her belongings into a backpack as she could, including her father's portrait and a doll that her father had made to look like her mother. These were all that was left to her of her family now. And so she set out into the world on her own, searching for the source of these creatures and the cause of her father's death, seeking vengeance.


Five years later, Veroonica had followed every lead she could think of. She never stayed in one place for long, finding temporary work where she could, training daily for the combat she knew would be inevitable, always on the move, never more than a few weeks in one city. And this was how she discovered the very organization that had rescued her on that night. Veronica knew if she were to find answers, it would be here. Her father owned a very popular bar where Katari worked until it was closed down when she was sixteen. He then worked as a police officer, making him a target to others. After he died, Katari vowed to kill the person that killed him as revenge, making her join the agency to support her single mother and the child her mother had.

Personality:

Gran is first and foremost a dandy gentleman. Helpful, chivalrous, polite, and quite charming. Of course, he’d gotten more slaps than thank yous lately, but that won’t stop him from offering a lady his best smile. This behavior extends to males somewhat, with the additional thin veneer of disdain barely visible beneath his amiability. It helps if he considers a guy a friend; at least he won’t be that obvious in his sarcasm. Ah yes. Sarcasm. If he’s particularly ticked off at someone, his gentlemanliness morphs into something a little more venomous. Even more so if that someone dares harm a friend in his presence. Especially so if that friend is a woman.


He’s also fiercely loyal to those who earn his trust. And deservingly so, because his trust is a hard gem to find. He’s reluctant to entrust anyone with his well-being, because he fears that they would leave him just as his parents did. But again, the benefits of finding that gem are many, because who wouldn’t want such a dapper gentleman as his or her confidant?



Besides being a gentleman, Gran fancies himself as somewhat of a prankster. He’s not above using a little of his illusions to get a laugh out of some unlucky sap. It’s all in good-natured fun, though. He’d never use his illusions deliberately against his comrades. Never again. Because he might start worrying again about the extent of his powers, if he’s still living in an illusion he made for himself. Bio:

Gran Larson could trace his ancestry back to the nobility of Great Britain, when the lords and ladies of the land wore extravagant clothing and sampled on the finest food and drink there was, where good sirs took the hands of young ladies to dance and kiss and enjoy the night away in bliss, and where the chivalrous knights fought for honor and glory and the right way, all in the name of something greater. Gran enjoyed such stories from his grandpa when he was growing up. That was all he had going for him when the world around him wasn’t as rosy as he wanted.


Gran and his family lived somewhere in New York, in a tiny two-bedroom apartment above the tiny bookstore his grandfather owned. Papa worked as a clerk for Grandpa, while Mama scrounged up money in some sort of venture, as she worded it then. Both of them had big dreams, almost as big as Gran’s ideals of a noble family. Mama would tell Gran all about it, moving to a better state, with cleaner air, kinder people, and a large house with a yard for him and his future Golden Retriever to play it. Papa promised Gran that he and Mama would do everything they could to give their precious boy the life he deserved-- that of a noble prince.



Business wasn’t huge, and the money trickled in slowly and fitfully even with both his parents working long hours, but they managed to live by. What Gran didn’t learn at the rundown public school he attended, he read from Grandpa’s collection of books. When the bullies started leaving bruises on his skin, Grandpa taught him how to use a simple wooden cane to defend himself. And when he cried at night, yearning for the warmth of the Papa and Mama who were rarely home, Grandpa would take him in his arms and tell him of the lords and ladies of Great Britain and their grand deeds until his tears ran out and he fell asleep.



When he was at high school, things began to unravel. Papa started shouting more. Mama started having bruises of her own. And Grandpa… Grandpa was always on his bed, coughing and wheezing and still smiling at Gran whenever he could. Gran did everything he could to keep the library afloat, often sleeping only a mere three hours every day in order to meet the demands of school and work. But no matter what he did, he couldn’t stop the frayed threads of his family from unraveling.



It all came to a head on his eighteenth birthday. Mama never came home that night, taking everything she owned with her earlier in the evening. Papa screamed and shouted, knocking down the shelves and repeating the word ‘whore’ over and over again while having that strange red glint in his brown eyes. And Grandpa lay smiling on his bed, the white bloody blanket still and silent against his chest.



That morning, Gran woke up and found himself in a grand room fit for a prince, with gilded walls, velvet carpets, and a crystal chandelier. His robes were lush silk with the crest of a dragon embroidered on his chest. And right there, standing next to his four-poster bed, were Papa and Mama, dressed like the King and Queen of England. Next to them was his Grandpa, not looking too shabby himself in his lordly wear, smiling that serene smile of his. It was Gran’s greatest dream came to life… and of course, like a dream, it was fleeting.



When he blinked, he was back again on the sofa where he slept all his life, hearing nothing but silence. That’s right. Papa also left the night before, which meant that it was only Gran and… and…



Before anything else, Gran dug up a hole in the measly backyard they had, and gave Grandpa the best burial he could give. After a silent prayer, Gran immediately threw himself into the books strewn all across the library, searching for anything related to bending of light waves and tales of fairies. Once, Grandpa told him about the fairy tricksters who played pranks on people by weaving strands of sunlight. He wasn’t too sure, but he swore he saw the light shimmer just before his dream faded into nothing.



He closed the library down and spent the next few days poring over the tomes his Grandfather left behind, looking for some sort of clue that could lead him where to go next. It was his only distraction from the crushing grief that threatened to overwhelm him. Finally, after hours of frustrated searching, he came across a primer written directly by his Grandfather’s hand. It was surprisingly detailed, full of notes and newspaper clippings, all pointing to one organization that could probably help Gran make sense of the shimmering light: The Rosewater Execution Firm.



With nothing but a backpack full of canned food and his Grandfather’s prized cane, Gran set out from New York to find this elusive organization. Four years and a long trail of breadcrumbs later, he finally did. Like a true gentleman would, he handed in his application form with poise. His grief was still there, hiding beneath his warm smile, and he held onto that as much as he did the precious memory of that fleeting dream.

Bio:

Gran Larson could trace his ancestry back to the nobility of Great Britain, when the lords and ladies of the land wore extravagant clothing and sampled on the finest food and drink there was, where good sirs took the hands of young ladies to dance and kiss and enjoy the night away in bliss, and where the chivalrous knights fought for honor and glory and the right way, all in the name of something greater. Gran enjoyed such stories from his grandpa when he was growing up. That was all he had going for him when the world around him wasn’t as rosy as he wanted.


Gran and his family lived somewhere in New York, in a tiny two-bedroom apartment above the tiny bookstore his grandfather owned. Papa worked as a clerk for Grandpa, while Mama scrounged up money in some sort of venture, as she worded it then. Both of them had big dreams, almost as big as Gran’s ideals of a noble family. Mama would tell Gran all about it, moving to a better state, with cleaner air, kinder people, and a large house with a yard for him and his future Golden Retriever to play it. Papa promised Gran that he and Mama would do everything they could to give their precious boy the life he deserved-- that of a noble prince.



Business wasn’t huge, and the money trickled in slowly and fitfully even with both his parents working long hours, but they managed to live by. What Gran didn’t learn at the rundown public school he attended, he read from Grandpa’s collection of books. When the bullies started leaving bruises on his skin, Grandpa taught him how to use a simple wooden cane to defend himself. And when he cried at night, yearning for the warmth of the Papa and Mama who were rarely home, Grandpa would take him in his arms and tell him of the lords and ladies of Great Britain and their grand deeds until his tears ran out and he fell asleep.



When he was at high school, things began to unravel. Papa started shouting more. Mama started having bruises of her own. And Grandpa… Grandpa was always on his bed, coughing and wheezing and still smiling at Gran whenever he could. Gran did everything he could to keep the library afloat, often sleeping only a mere three hours every day in order to meet the demands of school and work. But no matter what he did, he couldn’t stop the frayed threads of his family from unraveling.



It all came to a head on his eighteenth birthday. Mama never came home that night, taking everything she owned with her earlier in the evening. Papa screamed and shouted, knocking down the shelves and repeating the word ‘whore’ over and over again while having that strange red glint in his brown eyes. And Grandpa lay smiling on his bed, the white bloody blanket still and silent against his chest.



That morning, Gran woke up and found himself in a grand room fit for a prince, with gilded walls, velvet carpets, and a crystal chandelier. His robes were lush silk with the crest of a dragon embroidered on his chest. And right there, standing next to his four-poster bed, were Papa and Mama, dressed like the King and Queen of England. Next to them was his Grandpa, not looking too shabby himself in his lordly wear, smiling that serene smile of his. It was Gran’s greatest dream came to life… and of course, like a dream, it was fleeting.



When he blinked, he was back again on the sofa where he slept all his life, hearing nothing but silence. That’s right. Papa also left the night before, which meant that it was only Gran and… and…



Before anything else, Gran dug up a hole in the measly backyard they had, and gave Grandpa the best burial he could give. After a silent prayer, Gran immediately threw himself into the books strewn all across the library, searching for anything related to bending of light waves and tales of fairies. Once, Grandpa told him about the fairy tricksters who played pranks on people by weaving strands of sunlight. He wasn’t too sure, but he swore he saw the light shimmer just before his dream faded into nothing.



He closed the library down and spent the next few days poring over the tomes his Grandfather left behind, looking for some sort of clue that could lead him where to go next. It was his only distraction from the crushing grief that threatened to overwhelm him. Finally, after hours of frustrated searching, he came across a primer written directly by his Grandfather’s hand. It was surprisingly detailed, full of notes and newspaper clippings, all pointing to one organization that could probably help Gran make sense of the shimmering light: The Rosewater Execution Firm.



With nothing but a backpack full of canned food and his Grandfather’s prized cane, Gran set out from New York to find this elusive organization. Four years and a long trail of breadcrumbs later, he finally did. Like a true gentleman would, he handed in his application form with poise. His grief was still there, hiding beneath his warm smile, and he held onto that as much as he did the precious memory of that fleeting dream.
Looks good. Accepted.

(Note: it does not actually create floral objects, he just has tons of pockets filled with petals of different flowers that he will open to make himself look flashy)


B Rank: Active: Tornado Tracker Trap: By a swing of his Rapier he can create a 5 foot twister that would target individuals, upon hitting individuals, it would trap them into the vortex causing minor scratches.



Passive: Able to have more control over his air attacks, able to be more precise with with attacks.

Typhoon Strike: Shoots forward with extreme speed, piercing anything that touches his Rapier


S Rank: Creates three small yet long funnels at the edge of his rapier that if caught in the middle, would rip foes apart.



Personality: A sly Casanova, Drake is known to be a trouble maker at all the bars and parties he's goes to. Always harassing women to have a date, drink, etc. 90% of the time he'll get a smack from the woman he's trying to impress. He's a bit of a show off at times as well, he'll always tries to be better than everyone else at something. He has been showed to be fearless in battle, more specially towards women. With this show-offness trait he will rush off to battle just to show how better he is compared to everyone else, and it's doubled if there is a woman involved.



Likes: Women, fine wine, Being superior to anyone else, flowers, being flashy, acting like a super hero.



Dislikes: Rejection, bugs, being wrong, anything that's not wine, not being flashy.


Fears: Death to those around him, viewed as unreliable, big arachnids, unable to fulfill a duty.


Bio: As a child, he always considered himself a super hero with all the TV shows he would watch as a kid. He would heroically challenge anything that seemed to be unjust to anyone and would heroically fight them with home made wooden equipment... (he got beaten up most of the time as a child). But that didn't seem to stop him from doing anything, he kept doing it. You think this phase would grow out of him once he got mature, while that is the case to a lesser extent, he still parades around in a fancy costume and a rapier he bought to make himself feel like a super hero. This desire led him to find the Rosewater Execution Firm.


Other: Anything else I need to work on? Sorry if the Bio seemed lazy I was just having a hard time of thinking one. If you wish for me to change it then I will, that goes for anything else. I tried making a bit of a unique character with this, but if he isn't acceptable then I will change him with another character I had in mind. This seems like a snazzy RP that I wish to be apart of. :3

Your Rank B needs a passive and an active, not just an active skill. Also, unless I'm misreading your Rank D skill that looks like an active skill, not a passive one. Seems legit otherwise though.

Sorry 'bout that, I worked on this for about a week because I needed to do things so I forgot to do somethings xD I hope this is better.
