Ah! I must have misread. Sorry! =)

EDIT: I admit to being quite distracted with another task at the moment. I should have focused myself more here before posting. Heh! =)

Sherwood Sherwood What if I played this guy instead? I rolled him up using the same numbers you gave me for the retired Spirit Host (Snake) Wizard. I have used only martial systems you have approved in the past and he's a lot... simpler. He's an all-out Shoki (Demon Queller) which I'm sure the party could use right now. The numbers he needs are under the Game Notes tab.

What do folks think?

(Putting him in the next post.)

I can absolutely give you the rolls you need, but I want to make sure you are going to be happy with your choice of character. Are you sure you wish to switch? If so, we can take steps to make this happen.

Sherwood Sherwood

Well, I won't know until I play him, of course (we can't tell the future), but I know one thing - Snowfall can't be Snowfall here like he was in our previous Rifts game. That's been proven to me. So what else to do? Either bring a new Character in or leave the game and I'd rather not leave the game, you know? I like everybody here! =)

I'm hoping by bringing in someone simpler for the game that it'll all work out.

Side notes about Bright Storm: The simple parts are this: He's brand-new (1st level) and this is his very first Shoki mission, so he wants to do his Tiger clan proud. I mean, wouldn't you? Japanese tigers died out in the 20th Century, but this is Rifts and anything is possible so why not create a guy who isn't invested in the same way as my complex Kitsune? This guy is a straightforward Shoki who really specializes in martial arts and swords (single or dual). He has just enough to start himself off to get some serious demon quelling done. When he's not goofing off and enjoying life, working out or learning about mythology, that is. Both he and Snowfall are animal spirits - I could have Snowfall call him up to take his place and that, in an odd way, would satisfy both of their honorable (Japanese) alignments.

But really, demon quelling is all Bright Storm knows. That's it. And if that's not simple, what is? =) More importantly, he's got to be a better fit!

Ok. I'll make some rolls for you, and we can get Bright Storm into the game.

DIE ROLLS NEEDED:
4d4 x10 S.D.C. - 110 SDC
+6D6 + 70 M.D.C. (Cat) - 88 MD
2d6+10 for Speed (Cat) - 18
1d4x10 P.P.E. (+ P.E. x2 and 2d6 per level of experience - Shoki) - 30
2d6x1,000 (credits) - 7,000 credits
1d6 large sacks - 3
1d4 small sacks - 2
4d4 days of rations - 10

Hongo is now in the Characters section. =) Sherwood Sherwood

Could I get the number of magazines and grenades (plus type) for Hongo's guns?

Also, could Hongo begin with some kind of magic item? I'm not looking for powerful - I'm just looking for Japanese. Plus, my guy wants Japanese rune blades as a long-term goal as that would combine his love of Japanese mythology with demon hunting! =)

I am still getting to know him, but Hongo is based off of a character I played a long time ago and that's always a fun place to start. =)

I just got to work, so the weapons will have to wait until tomorrow when I'm up, but I'll make sure you have something good.

Thanks!

Hope you have a good shift!

A question for you, Sherwood Sherwood . Are we going to be rewriting things to say that Snowfall was never there and it has always been dannigans new character? We need to know what to expect before we get too far into the scene.

Actually, I have something in mind to answer all of those things should it please our Game Master. Give me a few minutes.

Oh. And I added a little more artwork to Bright Storm's/Hongo's character sheet. I imagine he will be walking about most often in his "Animus" ("were-tiger") form so I hope the artwork helps with everyone's mental images of him.

Sherwood Sherwood I've said this more times than I can rightly count, but it is worth saying again - if you want me to change anything in my post or rewrite it entirely, just say the word.

Well written intro for your tiger. Let's see what everyone does now.

Sherwood Sherwood Thank you! He is becoming quite the personality in my brain as I form him up. He's somewhere between Scrupulous and Unprincipled and I'll find out which as I play him.

I just got to work, so the weapons will have to wait until tomorrow when I'm up, but I'll make sure you have something good.
In his Weapons and Gear tab, I have the three weapons of choice that align with his weapon proficiencies. All guns and a great launcher, if you'll allow it. There are concussion grenades listed in the tab too; the idea being to hit the bad guys, stun them, and then move into melee.

You have my attention with "something good." When you're a demon queller, magic is often something good!

On a side note, I think I'll make one of his long-term goals to go after the Daisho of the Storm in Rifts Japan (or some Demon-finding and slaying Rune swords of Japanese origin). He is a sword-nut, and while he likes his vibro-katanas, nothing beats rune swords. =)

Psychie Psychie Thank you for the Well-written! Snowfall realizes he did not give Kimi a proper goodbye and so expect a little role-playing add-on soon which I hope will make Kimi (and you) smile. =)

Sherwood Sherwood Catch up in-game then read this, please.

These Hiroshimans just killed their own. To Hongo, these are not nameless guards, but people. If these people were handpicked to be on this security team, why did they suddenly attack? Were they not seen as loyal? Or were they imposters?

Hongo would like to use Dragon Chi to take away some of the costs (minimum 3) of any psychic abilities he uses.

He would like to activate his View Ghost Drama ability (Uses 8 P.P.E.. Rifts World Book 25: China 2, p. 69). He is hoping its reenactment might help determine what was taking place with the recently-departed just before they opened fire. Did they just open fire as one? Were there signs of a mental struggle prior to the assault? If so, spirits of the recently departed might still be here for a little while longer, seeking justice or perhaps revenge. He hopes using View Ghost Drama will also give him a strong idea of who he is talking to when he uses his next psychic ability in combination.

Next up is Commune with Spirits psychic ability (Rifts Ultimate Edition, p. 172). This is to question the spirits that View Ghost Drama might have found; restless spirits that may have been possessed in life. After introducing himself to the spirit, his questions are:

1. "Did you attack this vessel out of your own free will?"
2. "If so, why? If not, what made you do so?"
3. "What would you like me to know?"

If he receives only emotions but not clear messages, then it is off to Spirit Writing he goes (Rifts World Book 25: China 2, p. 69) to get clearer - written - answers.

Also, a friendly reminder? You mentioned you were going to see how much ammunition Hongo had with his guns? And a magic "something good?" =)

Edit: Oh. And to any interested parties, I have updated Hongo's character sheet to reflect the character as I know him (Alignment, disposition, mannerisms, appearance, etc.). Have a look and enjoy! =)

Been busy with family stuff the past few days, but I will have an IC post up shortly. Probably later on this evening.

Before I forget again, Purr Purr you have four magazines for your weapons.
Thank you! How many grenades for his grenade launcher please? Also, you mentioned "something good" in the way of a magic item?
