Psychie Psychie I just realized something - in the Initiative order, you have Dreamy on Delay.

Delay means to postpone one's Action that Round until that later Initiative order is met. Does this mean Dreamy acts this Action and continues to act on Initiative of 1 (below Takuma's 2)? Or do you want her to act next Action? I can have all of her emotional turmoil burning up those 4 Rounds we earned from our psychic warnings.

I'm asking because I want to know how many Actions she has for this Round - those are going to be important (last I checked, the enemy Blind Warrior Women had 8 per round and the Minion, 10! Things may be different in your world, but I'm not about to underestimate these foes!).

According to the book I have, the Slaver actually has 16 actions, not ten. But to answer your question on your action count, when you post for Dreamy getting her head in the fight that will be your first action. You don't get to act twice, but you also don't lose any actions.

Make sense?

16! I have the old book. Which book is this in?

Hold up. I'm not trying to act twice (I'm a roleplayer, not a munchkin); I'm trying to figure out what you meant by Delay. What Initiative Number you want her to go on (first OR last - never both). =)

So! Dreamy didn't Delay at all then but lost her Action to what boils down to something akin failing a Horror Factor check (which makes sense to me), right? The end result - she starts on her 2nd Action, yes?

This is the part I don't understand - she doesn't "lose any actions" - except the first according your statement here. Right?

If so, that's fine by me! If not, and I'm misunderstanding something, please fix me. =)

The book I was using with the Slaver in it is the first Sourcebook with the adventures dealing with Archie 3 and his human partner, Hagan.

You will not start on your second action, but you'll be on your first while everyone else is heading into their second+ actions of the round.

O.K.!

And Purr Purr I never want you to think I am accusing you of being a munchkin. That never crossed my mind.
Oh! I don't see munchkins as being a bad thing; it's just not my style of play! In some of the MMORPGs I've played over the years, there are entire raiding guilds filled to the brim with munchkins and wow! When they get going on a challenging raid, get out of their way! Heh! I've learned a thing or two about my characters in MMORPGs from these folks. If you want to know about how your class/race/etc. works on a raiding level, don't ask a roleplayer like me - ask the munchkins. =)

But... (here it comes!) ask these very same daring folks what the "RP" in MMORPG means? Well, they know what it means, but darned if most of them don't see their characters as anything more than finely-tuned raiding utensils! Hah! I think munchkins are kind of like... car collectors who can eke out every last bit of horsepower out of their machine, but look oddly at people (like me) who give names to their everyday vehicles. Heh! =)

I get it. I just didn't want to offend you, even a little, by having you think I was expecting you to power game and try to take advantage of me. That thought had never come to me, I promise!

DERRP! It's right here with the abilities I was using to research Dreamy! You're referring to Rifts Sourcebook One: Revised and Expanded! I see the 16 Attacks per Round now.

I have to get up early for Real Life tomorrow. If life cooperates, I'll try to get a Dreamy post in.

Having been a Blind Warrior Woman for far too many centuries, Dreamy's first thought is to get that Staff of Eylor out of the Minion's hand (for a variety of reasons). She wants to use her bow to Disarm the Minion (not harm the Staff which is in itself a Called Shot; just get it out of the Minion's hand per RUE, page 345).

Heh! In all of the years we've been gaming together, you never have offended me, Princess Psychie Psychie , and I highly doubt you ever will! =)

You just don't play those kinds of games; it's something you've been really cool about all this time - hence my giving you benefit of the doubt since the day you earned it years ago! =)

Heya friends! =)

I just realized how absolutely blitzed I am (it has been a long and eventful day). I'm happy to have posted as O Mighty Fat Cat and Chaska, but Dreamy's going to have to wait for later. After I input this data for her Altarian abilities (I somehow missed adding them into her character sheet), I'm going to bed.

Note to self: Add Troy the Robot Unicorn data from the Black Market. Firearm data from GMG and Triax. Remember Dreamy has W.P. Sharpshooting when she makes her Disarm attempt. Use Action Point.

Good night! Sleep deeply and restoratively when it's your turn, you guys! =)

Honor and fun,
Dann =)

P.S. Oh! I've added two brief videos in her Inspiration tab - a No-Daichi-using Ninjitsu artist doing his thing. This is the same style and sword that Dreamy uses (her Silver Slayer dubbed "Violence"). Check out the second video and this sheathing technique of his! He must have practiced his tail off for years to get that good! =)

Thank you, Dann, for those kind words. It means a lot to me.

Despite my silliness in our other game, I just happen to be under a serious headache. I will post when I can - I haven't forgotten or anything like that. =)

I'm so tired from Real Life - I'm crashing now. Take care and have fun! =)

EDIT: I am such a dork. =) =) =)

I posted all of this in IC instead of OOC. That tells me just how tired I was when I wrote this! Sorry about the goof! =)

Psychie Psychie O.K.. Having posted in the other two games I'm a Player in, I'm all out of juice tonight to post in-character in this one (I'm going to bed early). However, before I do that, I would like to ask our Game Mistress a few things concerning my next post and future posts involving Dreamy. Please consider these as requests for your permission.

1. Lumpy. Given my last two posts as Dreamy, I want to have Dreamy come out of this despair-pit that the sudden attack of the Splugorth Slave Barge has put her into. Thanks for agreeing that Lumpy can help do something about it; here's what I have in mind:

This is one of those matters that I don't see Dreamy as pulling herself out of all by her lonesome - her worst nightmare just appeared out of nowhere and she - to her great astonishment - is not only completely unprepared for this, but is so thrown off her game as to think and feel the worst as 2,000 years of being a slave drop right on her in one big emotional nuke.

"Lumpy." Lumpy is an alien symbiote that feeds off of Dreamy's positive emotions, right? It's Good-aligned and I take it they want nothing but the best for each other. So... if Lumpy is emotionally-connected to Dreamy, perhaps Lumpy has access to her memories? Would it be all right with you if Lumpy accessed those memories to pull Dreamy into something of a "dream-state" where she briefly experiences moments of the past - inspiring moments that bring her from the brink of Cthulu-level despair and back to something she can act upon?

2. Concerning the aforementioned moments, I have made mention of Dreamy's Ninja Undead Hunter teachers from New York. Now, how and when they got together to train her is beyond me and a matter for another time. But... that's where Lumpy goes to help Dreamy. Lumpy accesses memories of their wisdom.

Now. You know me. If I'm going to do something, I'm not going to do it half-baked. I would like some short but important details of her Ninja masters to make their first appearance here. The result being it "supercharges" Dreamy into action (namely her Trickshot attempt with her bow to Disarm that staff out of the Minion's hand. Now, here I'm taking something of a liberty - I can only imagine that Dreamy, being an Altarian Blind Warrior Woman for so long, is aware of what laying into that staff does to the Minion. If this isn't true for some reason, Psychie, I'll disagree with it (2,000 years isn't enough to know that? How long does it take?), but I'll respect it because this is your game.

3. Dreamy's New York Ninja Undead Hunters. Surely they have a cooler name, but I haven't yet made one. Most importantly, what are they? All we know at this point is that two of the bunch are from Germany and all of them took Dreamy under their figurative wings to teach them the ways of the shinobi. This gives Dreamy something more to look forward to instead of just being a free slave - it gives her a true life purpose (or ikigai if you prefer the Japanese/Okinawan word).

4. I was thinking they are 5 animal mutants from the world of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (I am a proud backer of the Palladium kickstarter and I long to put something into any one of the games I'm playing; I figured this would be the best spot). So... What If... Dreamy's senseis are a half-dozen of mostly Asian-themed animals that mastered Ninjitsu together and travel all over Rifts Earth for their own reasons? By mostly Asian-themed animals, I mean they are made up of... a Giant Chinese Panda, a Black Mamba snake (think D&D's Yuan-Ti in physical form), a Japanese Shiba Inu, a Japanese Martet, and finally a German Shepherd and European Wildcat (these last two being the Germans Dreamy adores)?

So... what if Lumpy accesses her memories of these six and their wisdom gives her the courage and resolve to act?

P.S. If you approve this, I think I'll call them "The Shining Six" (which I suppose is something of an homage to Kung Fu Panda's "Furious Five").

EDIT: Goof #2 moved here where it belongs (instead of IC). =)

And with that, I'm going to bed. Good night! =)

Sweet Dreams Cat GIF by good-night

I was thinking I could have Lumpy send you a mixed bag of positive emotions and memories from your past, featuring Owl in the memories heavily. How does that sound?

Psychie Psychie It depends on the content of those memories and their effect on Dreamy's highly-troubled state of mind. What do you have in mind? If it works, I'd love to include it!

Are you O.K. with Dreamy having The Shining Six as her mentors - a thing only to be used in her past (because I'm not trying to interject TMNT/After the Bomb/Ninjas & Superspies into your Rifts campaign)?

I'm just trying to help instead of throwing up more problems. I certainly don't wish to play Dreamy for you, and I'm doing my best to help set a scene to aid you in getting her into a positive mindset.
